The hotel was the closest to the American Girl Store, our main attraction in Chicago. Since we were traveling with children and seniors we needed convenience. Shopping was great. Front desk and concierge were very friendly and helpful. Decor could use some updating. After shopping all morning, came back to room that had not been cleaned, and had to call for housekeeping.

Great location!

The Westin has an outstanding location next door to the Hancock and on Michigan Avenue. The room was somewhat tired and had a very boring interior, but the location redeemed normalcy. Staff was attentive, the room was very clean, but mostly grey and colorless. In spite of the shortcomings, I would recommend due to location and value.

Great location, people, and the grill resturant , good food and drinks.

This Westin is a great location! The price was good too. Parking is $59 per 24 hours, that is typical in Chicago. You can walk to anywhere. The Grill is also very nice with good food and drinks. The room was very comfy and clean. I have stayed here 3 times.

Hotel is great! Location is perfect, walking distance to so so much. I would recommend the bar as well. The late night bartenders are THE BEST. Very helpful and just good people. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

I usually do not write reviews, but the service my wife and I had was outstanding. I called ahead because it was my wives birthday, and they upgraded our room for free. Then, when we arrived, they wished her a Happy Birthday since they made a note of it when I had called, and, after dinner, they sent up a fruit/cheese platter and a bottle of wine. I have not been to a hotel where such emphasis was put on the customer. All this, and the location is great. Right on Michigan Ave, across the street from the Hancock Building (highly recommend hitting up the Signature Room for cocktails at night, great view). Thank you very much Westin, you far exceeded my expectations, especially for the price!

The hotel lobby not so impressive, yet it has a superb location and all downtown chicago has to offer is within walking distance.., just make sure you include the valet parking on your stay otherwise is outrageously expensive..!

We spent three days at the Westin, just before Christmas. Sure we've stayed at fancier hotels, hotels with larger rooms and larger bathrooms but the location of the Westin can't be beat. It was so convenient to all the great shops and restaurants at the north end of Michigan Ave. Parking is free in their hotel garage but we had no need of our car since we could walk to everything. We've stayed at many hotels along Michigan Ave. but we plan on going back to the Weston.

Reservations were messed up, services paid for where not provided, complimentary perks added on for problems were charged to my acct nothing but problems stood inline for an hour to find out what the deal was

Our room was freezing because the heat was not working properly. They sent a maintenance man up and it took him several trips- while we waited for him to fix the problem. Was very frustrated and asked for another room and was finally given one because i stressed the inconvenience it was causing me to wait for this repair. I wish they could have thought more on their feet and issued us a new room- when the problem persisted.

Upon checking in we found out that our room reservation was "cancelled". This however was incorrect, after much arguing back and forth and waiting at least half an hour we were able to get in a room. Room appeared nice however...dirty floss was hanging in the bathroom shower and the garbage was still full from the previous guest, not to mention the bathtub filled past the ankles when taking a shower. It took SEVERAL calls and coming down to talk to a manager (which argued our complaints) to fix the problem. Overall, besides being close to shopping and restaurants, we most likely will not be coming back to this hotel. It made, what was supposed to be a relaxing 30th birthday weekend a very uncomfortable and stressful stay.

We found the staff at Watertower Westin outstandin in every way and turned my bad day bad chicago experience into a better light....it is nice to know that there is still compaies strive for better customer service! I will definitely stay there again on my next visit!

I stay at many upscale hotels in Chicago throughout the year with family and friends for different events. This is the first time I have stayed at the Westin Michigan ave hotel because I heard it was outdated. We stayed because the deal on Hotels.com was so good and the location is perfect for what we came in town for.... shopping and meeting up with old friends for dinner. The hotel was very clean and staff friendly. They said they were renovating meeting rooms this year and rooms next year so I was worried. However, when we checked in everything was very clean and bed and bedding very comfortable, Would stay again.

Our family stayed at the westin last weekend in chicago....loved the location for shopping and it is close to many things. We loved the westin. the only complaint i could say was we didnt have shampoo and conditioner in our room so we had to call down to get it...it was up to our room very quick. Great time

Chose this hotel b/c of name, star rating and they offered a promotion price for a room which INCLUDED parking (very pricy in Chicago). Could not be beat. Great stay, great location (across the street from the John Hancock on Michigan Ave), great updated room. If I had to complain it would be about the ice machine not working on the 14th or 15th floor but they happily brought a filled ice bucket to our room. Minor inconvenience.

This hotel was very clean and the location could not have been better. Very close to very good restaurants and since it is right on Michigan Avenue, it is the perfect place to stay for shopping. I will remember this hotel and plan on staying there in the future. Also, the "heavenly beds" really are very comfortable.

They were nice enough to accomodate me in a very early morning check-in. The heavenly bed and bath were great an allowed me to prepare for my afternoon meetings. The giftshop was well stocked and the Grill on the Alley restaurant was good.

My husband got a room at the Weston for my 30th birthday. We got a double bed room because my sister and brother-in-law were coming with us. It was a nice hotel. Perfect location. Across the street from The Cheesecake Factory and a block away from the Water Tower Place.

Location is excellent for shopping and walk to Rush street. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Check in and out was great. Valet parking was easy. The Grill restuarant had excellent food. Room was nice sized, nothing special. Very pleased.

We enjoy staying at the Westin. It is very convenient to walk to both great stores and famous restaurants. We ended up with a room by the elevator, so it wasn't as quiet as we would have liked. The staff is always professional.

This hotel is close to everything we enjoyed are stay.

This was the most accommodating and polite staff. It is located within steps of all the attractions of the Magnificent Mile. Will always stay here when visiting Chicago!

Perfect location! No issues or problems.

It was a great hotel to stay for new years eve.

My stay at the Westin was average compared to their reputation. We ended up having to pay $57 dollars a day for parking....yeah add that up. We stayed for 4 1/2 days so yes our parking bill ended up being close to $250 dollars with tax. This is never mentioned at all, so sorry if you drove or rented a car. It would be cheaper to just fly and taxi it the entire trip. Also the security hold that they will put on your card will result in a $100 dollar pending charge on your account for each day. Also not mentioned upon checking in. Overall those two things just about ruined our trip. There was a $500 dollar swing in other stuff we could have done and experienced in the windy city , but couldn't due to lack of information on the front end of things. As for the hotel itself. I called and tried to have roses set up in my room and they never called or did anything until I contacted them face to face after 4 attempts of calling with no response. The Ice machines on our floor were broke, so we had to go to other floors to retrieve ice. The elevators were shut down for a period of time also which was a real inconvenience. The room and neighborhood were the only positives. There is great shopping and good Chicago Restaurants within walking distance. The room was clean, but beware of more hidden charges with the stocked fridge with a $5 dollar Snikers bar. Most definitely will not be back at this hotel ever again. The Hilton would be my first pick if you want something in this price range and luxury.

The hotel was nice. Our room was hot no matter how low we turned down the thermostat. The stay was comfy, but just not what I expected for the price.
