I paid for a premium room for 2 of my staff so they can enjoy skating on the Rideau as well as sleeping in luxury and then having breakfast at the Marche in the Rideau centre with direct access from the hotel. They throughly enjoyed their stay. Thank you Westin.

I had high expectations, I grew up in Ottawa and always admired the Westin so when it came to for me to need a hotel there for a visit it was the 1st hotel that came to mind. It is in the perfect location and my room was nice but here are a list of what detracted from my experience: - 2 of the 4 elevators did not work, the elevator was full so often had to wait 20 minutes just to get on one to leave my floor - A drunk man started banging on my door at 2am yelling and screaming - The westin is the ONLY hotel I know of that charges for internet, that is crazy! - I could not get through to room service at 10pm so I gave up and did not bother Reception was friendly and apologetic but if the Westin wants to remain a 5 star hotel, something has to change.

It is ridiculous that an expensive hotel then thinks that it can also charge for internet. It is ridiculous and offensive. Also, $50 for breakfast for two is also absurd.

It was a good stay. although i booked a premier room asking for kingbed but it was not available! and my father forgot his medication bag in the drawer. when i called the hotel at the same day, they told me that they checked everywhere and couldn't find it!! which is weird.

Paid extra to get a full window view with King size bed. Very disappointed that bathroom only had shower only,and no tub.

Had a wonderful weekend in Ottawa last weekend. The hotel was wonderful - close to EVERYTHING and the staff were fabulous! Thank you. Will be back again!

Great hotel in good location. Bedding was phenomenal.

the hotel was absolutely beautiful. It was very clean and the room was very big. We only stayed for one night but I would definitely stay there again!!!!

My sister & I were disappointed with the room itself. We thought the bathtub would be bigger & the room itself much nicer. However the beds were very comfortable & the nearness to the Rideau Centre was a plus. We would in all likelihood not stay at the Westin again.

Hotel was very clean and updated. Rooms have a beautiful panaramic view of the city and conveniently located to shopping and the Market. Elevators seem to run at sonic speed so there is very little wait if your located on the upper floors.

Great views. Excellent service. Right downtown. Would absolutely stay again!

I've stayed at other Westin hotels in other parts of the world, and this one didn't seem to be at the same level. There were plastic cups in the bathroom instead of glass, plastic trash cans of different colors, no amenities such as shower caps, for instance, no slippers. Room was comfortable but bland. No free wifi. I had just come from Helsinki and Brussels at the Crowne Plaza in both cities, and both had free wifi in the rooms. Stains in the elevator carpets and some hallways, which surprised me. The location is great, convenient to all the Ottawa sights

Amazing hotel! Great service from their exceptional staff. Clean room with a perfect view of Parliament, which was excellent for the fireworks, and a huge bed! Minor critique: pillows are uncomfortable and the renovated suite don't have a bath tub, which made it difficult to bath our baby.

To keep this short and sweet, our stay at your hotels was not pleasant. We had blood on our sheets, hair in our coffee's in the morning and also had stains on our towels! we did receive water and chocolates as a thank you, but they also spelled our name wrong on the apology card. I will not return to your hotel or give a good review to anyone who asks me about the hotel.

Very nice hotel...but not overly impressed. Expecting more based on the review. Will try Fairmont next time

It's our third stay here and the service is wonderful. Walking distance from all the prime attractions like the Parliment Buildings, The Art Gallery, Shopping, bars eating spots. We just love the city!! We will be back for tulip time.

How much better can it get. Perfect location within walking distance to the Parliament buildings. the canal, the market and shopping at the mall just through the doors. Beautiful hotel with lovely bright clean rooms and excellent service.

Stayed in the Westin Ottawa Labor Day weekend. Our room had a huge picture window overlooking the Parliament. We sat at night, propped up our feet, and drank in the sights. Saved a bundle on taxis because it is within walking distance to the major sights and the market.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone primarily wanting to see the Ottawa sights. It is very well located adjacent to the mall and close to the restaurant quarters as well as the Parliament and other sights. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Don't expect too much of the pool though, it was ok but nothing more. The sauna was nice though!

You start out with lousy parking arrangements that you pay $20 a day for followed by a lack of information in the hotel lobby or your room about the surrounding area. If you're a smoker you aren't even given a place to sit down outside and the food is exhorbitantly priced and lousy. This is a place concerned only with making money and not you.

The hotel has a great location. If I come back to Ottawa and I can get a great rate from hotels.com, I will stay there again. Everything can be reached within a couple of minutes by foot. They charge a lot, but the service is worth it. Enjoy Ottawa!

The Westin is conveneint to the Byward market and museums. My only complain with the hotel as a business traveller is the $15.95 charge for 24 hours of internet access.

My favourite Ottawa hotel. Right downtown, opposite parliament, attached to the Rideau Centre shopping concourse, anirectly across from the Rideau Canaal. The restaurant, Daly's, is one of the best hotel restaurants (and we all know how lousy some can be), that I have ever found. I happily eat there often. Westin is also next to "The Market" which is a quaint area worth a walking tour. But...the Westin has the absolute BEST mattresses I have ever found. Perfect softness. Instant sleep. I want one. You will not be disappointed. I rate it 11 out of a possible 5.

This was a wonderful hotel with a center city location and beautiful views. It is located near the museums and the river. The staff at the hotel and in the dining room were friendly and helpful, and if we go again to Ottawa, we most certainly would stay at this hotel.

The Westin Ottawa was a wonderful place to stay. We loved that we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. The hotel staff was so friendly and knowledgeable; they gave us many suggestions of sites to see which was incredibly beneficial. Eveything about the hotel was clean and welcoming. I have already recommended this hotel to friends and will continue to do so.

Our stay in the hotel was fantastic. The staff was extremely polite,the rooms were very clean and the hotel is situated in the real centre of Ottawa. I strongly recomend this hotel.

I booked here to be near downtown on Canada Day and it worked out perfectly. It was a relaxing day to watch the events out the window overlooking Parliament. Thank you Westin for having us stay with you.

ottawa was like going back in time. the people were very friendly. the resdtaurants around the hotel were great and the buffet breakfast in the hotel was perfect. everything about this tulip festival weekend was wonderful. i highly recommend this area and hotel for a get a away.
