This was the fourth time we staid at The Regency, we like the hotel and love the location

The Regency Hotel was very nice and modern. The hotel staff was great and very helpful. Being a few blocks from a tube station was a very big plus in getting around but there were also lots of things to do around the area too...shops, pubs, places to eat, and just nice areas to take a walk. The rooms were very clean and had a cool look. I found the size of the room to be bigger than I had expected for a European hotel...still smaller than most US hotel rooms but plenty of space for my bags and my girlfriends without having to walk over them. The only real downside was that the AC didn't go below 16C and would shut off. We weren't sure if it was suppose to do this or not and we never bothered to call to ask since we were only in the room for about 6 hours. Overall it was a great hotel, in a very nice area, and was very easy to get to downtown London. A great place to stay to avoid having to pay a lot more just to be staying in the tourist areas.

We stayed here 4 nights and were very pleased with everything. The hotel is close to an underground station so it's easy to get around. The neighbourhood around this hotel is absolutely lovely and there are plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby. Would recommend this hotel to everyone!

Location is nice. Easy and close to south Kensington station. The burgers from bryon's are great. Would definitely stay there again!!

Small but well appointed rooms, although a mini-bar would be appreciated. Good neighborhood with lots of restaurants and good pubs. Services are rudimentary and staff was a bit overwhelmed by an wedding reception the first night, but they try hard to please. Reasonable comfort for the price.

A warm and personable "boutique" hotel, so conveniently located to the Tube, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Museum of Natural History, walking distance to Harrod's and Harvey Nichols and surrounded by wonderful little cafés and restaurants. The staff is consumed with pleasing, including the bartender who keeps the bar open until 1:00 a.m. Won't stay anywhere else on our returns to London.

I just stayed at The Regency for the first time. I was there for business for 2 weeks. The location is great, very friendly staff, and comfortable room! I am definitely going to stay there on my future business trips and will recommend it to my colleagues as well.

The Regency is in a prime location to most of the sights! The Natural History Museum is just around the cornerhts in London.A stones throw from the South Kensington Tube station .Also in walking distance to many pubs and resteraunts!

I booked online and went along to see the hotel a few weeks before our stay as sometimes the room in the photo is nothing like the room you sleep in!! I was greeted by Emanuele the concierge who could not have been more helpful. He showed me around the hotel and even showed me a room similar to the one we'd have. The room was quite small but it had a large bed with memory foam mattress. The bathroom was again small but workable with a decent shower and good lighting and a make up/shaving mirror. Before heading for dinner we had a free drink and canapes in the Elysium bar which was included as part of our room package. The only thing I would say is the breakfast arrangement is really confusing. We hadn't included it so had to pay extra which was fine but when we ordered and asked about certain things, the waiting staff kept telling us we'd have to pay which was a bit annoying when we'd already established that it would be extra. Overall though, a very pleasant stay and a luxurious looking hotel.

well located in Kensington, about 200m from South Kensington tube station. Very clean and modern hotel, and very helpful and kind staff.

Pros: The location. We were very close to Victoria and Albert museum, the National History museum and the Science Museum (where we used the wifi). We could also walk easily to Hyde Park and Harrod's. The neighbourhood is very nice, and there were several good restaurants to have breakfast and dinner. The bed wasn't the best I've slept in at a hotel, and the room was small (as they tend to be in London and Paris), but it was clean and well designed. We didn't try the food at the hotel, since we preferred to go out. Cons: you have to pay for wifi, but the reception in our room didn't seem very good so we never did. If you want to connect serveral devices you have to pay for each one you want to use.

Loved the king sized memory foam mattress. Great hotel brilliant for visiting the Museums, Hyde Park and shopping, would visit again. Didn't eat or drink in the hotel though so can't comment on that.

This hotel is excellent , lovely friendly staff nothing was too much trouble . we only spent one night at the hotel but our stay was great , we would definitely stay here again .

5th floor was under reconstruction from early morning to late evening. At least the hotel was nice enough to relocate us, so we were farther away from the power drills. However, people are arriving through the night (up to 7am) and the hallways are very slim, so you will hear bagage hittings the walls and people talking. It was not as nice and quiet as we had expected. Also the gym is very small. 4 machines and a pilates bal - that is it - no weights.

The hotel itself was adequate... My complaint was the wireless internet service was the worst ever!!! The staff said the owners are trying our different services... Coming from the US we are accustomed to even the most economical hotels having excellent wifi available... There is no excuse for a hotel of this caliber to not have good internet service!!!

Very convenient cheerful and polite staff, clean, modern smart rooms, memory foam beds, great shower. Breakfast v expensive, Muriel's Cafe by the S ken tube good for breakfast.!

The hotel is located in a great neighbourhood close to transport links and local restaurants and shops. The service was excellent and the rooms have recently been refurbished to a very high standard. This is possibly the best value stay I've ever had in London and I'll definitely be back.

The room at the Regency was very nice and the bed was super comfortable. It's in a great location, close to the tube and also to Earl's Court if you are in town for a conference there. The wifi was a little spotty at first, but after the first hour, I had no problems. The staff responded quickly to things, but were not the friendliest. A circuit in my room blew twice and they came to reset it within 2 minutes, but they were not at all apologetic, which I guess I expected they would be. Overall, it is a good value for a very comfortable place to stay.

When I checked into the hotel I asked if the steam room was complimentary for the Queensgate rooms. The Receptionist said that it was not. I pointed out that on their own website it states that it is, so then she agreed and apologised. The rest of my stay was fine, the staff were smiley and helpful. The room was really hot at night but the upgrade to the Queensgate rooms is definitely worth it. Pity there's no mini-bar/fridge though and we had no coffee on the beverages tray.

This hotel is a great deal and a nice little place to stay. It is maybe 2 blocks walk from the Glocester Road tube station with lots of nice dining, cafes, and convenience stops along the main road. There was a bit of construction blocking the sidewalk down the street, but in general the area is a residential "suburb" feeling street. The room was spacious, especially for an English room (really Americans, you would be very comfortable here!), and was always clean. The exterior appears old and fancy, and the inside, while modern in the rooms, is very beautiful and elegant looking. My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and we would come back in a heartbeat. Great hotel!

Stayed for one night with friends. Everything fine apart from the room lights: they are a bit too sophisticated. They are supposed to sense if someone has got up in the night, and turn on automatically. Either we had a ghost, or the sensor was faulty. The lights came on and off at random during the night, so we didn't get much sleep. No other complaints and I would recommend this hotel for either a business or pleasure trip.

Great hotel in excellent location. Room was clean and looked like it had been updated recently. Only negative - bed and pillows very hard, but I'd still recommend this hotel.

I recently stayed here with my boyfriend for a weekend in London and we both thought the hotel was great! Though the room was quite small (as seems to be the case in London hotels) it was very well equipped and the memory foam mattress on the bed was amazing! The room had robes, a good hairdryer and USB ports for charging iphones etc. The location is great too - a 2 minute walk from South Kensington tube station, with lots of restaurants, bars and cafes within easy walking distance. We did not eat in the hotel - there is so much choice in South Kensington and the room service prices are a bit expensive. Overall we had a great experience and we would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was great, good location, comfortable room, decent price, etc. Most of the staff were terrific. However, the internet was unusable - we couldn't get a strong signal, despite being just over the Lobby, and what miniscule signal we could get was inadequate to load any internet pages. When we initially told the hotel desk staff we were having a problem, the staff on duty were rather unhelpful. We finally found someone the next day who at least offered to let us use the business center to download some files. If you don't need to go online, I would have no hesitation about recommending the Regency, but for a business traveler, it would be a no-go.

Ok everyone, please be adivised, this was a really clean looking hotel and room in a great neighborhood in Downtown London. There are no toileteries supplied in the room, just bath gel and hand soap attached to the walls. No shower cap, lotion, conditioner or swabs available in the rooms. The hotel did not inform us prior to checking in that the hotel was under construction. Our one night in London with a huge lie in planned was interuppted at 7:45am with construction!!! Hammering, sawing, whatever they were banging was on the 5th floor, we stayed on the 3rd- so you can imagine the noise. Anyways, I went to check out at 10am and was hoping they would ask "How was your stay?", so I could vent my disappointment, but alas nothing from the receptionist. I was too exhausted to start the converstaion.

Hotel was very quiet. Good location. Safe neighborhood. Close to two Underground stops. Near good Restaurants and Pubs. Friendly and helpful staff. Decent sized room for a large city hotel. Ok now the negatives. No clock in the room. No free Wi-Fi. Would stay there again.

The hotel was excellent! I would recommend it without reservation. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was big (by UK standards) and very clean. Our only issue was the internet. I didn't mind so much that they charged, its wasn't expensive, but we had to try multiple times to log on and the it was SOOOO slow, might as well have been dial up. But honestly, there are enough cafes around with free wifi that we were fine. I wouldnt hesitate to book this hotel!

Overall, enjoy my stay. The room is very nice but it has thin walls, which mean you can hear people talking along the corridor. Services are generally good except for day one, when they took a while to do my check-in (the lady servicing me 'disappeared' and I've to get another lady to help me with the check in).

We stayed in a club room which met all of our expectations. Very clean spa like rooms, however very small which is in keeping with european hotels so that was no surprise. Mattress very comfortable and it was evident that this room had been totally recently renovated. location was excellent with many restaurants, and 3 minutes from the tube. Would definitely stay there again. PS. did not eat at the hotel...therefore cannot rate food. Otherwise great hotel

Comfortable and affordable. Nice location between Gloucester Road and South Ken tube stops. Rooms small like all London hotels. They charge for w-fi but there are so many pubs with free wi-fi, this is easy enough to work around--but why bother charging when the more downscale places don't charge?

Stayed here for 6 nights. Room very nice. Very convenient location between 2 Tube Stops. Plenty of Restaurants/Pubsin Area. I'm a pub guy so Anglesea Arms and Hereford Arms (good bangers & mash) both minutes away.
