Altstadt Hotel - زيورخ

I chose this hotel as a colleague had stayed here before (whilst I stayed at another property further up the river). Location-wise, this is a very conveniently located hotel. A leisurely 15 minute walk along the river from the railway station, close by some wonderful cafes and restaurants and an equally short walk to the main shopping areas of Zurich. Whilst this is not a full service business hotel, it certainly provides all the basic requirements - Internet, a satisfactory buffet breakfast and a small bar. In summary, is a 'safe' alternative to the brand hotels in Zurich.

The staffs were very kind and friendly. Always helpful and keep big big smile on their face! Location was great, with lots of restaurants behind the hotel and tram in front of it. The only one thing I can complain about the hotel is their tiny elevator. It was a great holiday in Zurich, and all my family love this hotel.

Fantastic small boutique hotel in old town of Zurich. Rooms aren't huge but who needs it when your out and about all day. Modern and clean. Great little bar on entry to rest the weary feet. Overall pleasantly surprised by this little gem and reasonably priced for Zurich.

It is a small hotel in size but the best location, in the middle of the Alstad and walking distance to the most important landmarks of the city.

The hotel is clean but the rooms are very small. The breakfast is excellent. The people there are friendly, helpful and courteous and they speak English fluently.

Nothing special but is a block away from the Hofbrau House. Elevator underground parking is kind of neat.

In a four day stay they were unable to get internet service to my room and did not offer to change rooms. The room was tiny and difficult to move around in.

We stayed in this hotel for just one night on our trip and it was a great place. Excellent location, within walking distance of the train station and great restaurants and shopping. The rooms are modern and clean and comfortable. Each room is named after a writer and contains the author's books in the room. If you come to Zurich, this is where you should stay, although I wouldnt recommend staying in Zurich for very long.

I'm going to be as honest as I can here. The location is excellent, 10 steps away from the Grossmünster, the tram stop, and the river. Is in a very good neighborhood, full of restaurants and shops. The staff in the Hotel was great, breakfast wasn't. Just some cereal, bread, cheese and uncooked eggs that you have to put them in a boiler and wait about 10-15 minutes to eat it, basically it was a continental breakfast. The room looks awesome, very modern and trendy, but, beds are very uncomfortable. Also the the hotel is in an alley, so if you try to sleep with the window open, you'll hear everything, specially the people leaving the bar in the 1st floor of the hotel, also the smell of smoke comes through (and I stayed in the 4th floor), so I guess for winter season it will be nice since you don't open the windows. Having said all this, I didn't recommend the hotel because I wouldn't stay here again. Also be aware that there is a city tax not covered in the original price and you have to pay it at check out.

The hotel had a great location, but our room overlooked a quaint, cobblestone alley that echoes late night sounds, as well as suitcases that roll along. During the summer time, the lack of air condition forces you to open the window and the noise from below is not typical late night banter around midnight, but it goes on throughout the night. My next trip to Zurich, I will look for hotels with air condition or heater, depending on the season.

Hotellet var fint nok.Og vil man vækkes meget tideligt af kuffert rumlen på brostenene og af skraldebilen, så er det lige stedet.

Tout (service, propreté, situation) était parfait, mais le prix demandé (*** euros/nuit) est exorbitant pour une mansarde exiguë aménagée sous les toits, dans laquelle il est à peine possible de faire le tour du lit.

Für eine Geschäftsreise oder einen Kurztrip würde ich dieses kleine, sehr gut gelegene Hotel jederzeit weiter empfehlen. Die Zimmer sind zwar nicht sehr groß, besonders das Badezimmer ist ein bisschen beengend gewesen, jedoch gleicht die Sauberkeit und exzellente Lage dies wieder aus. Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt war ich sehr zufrieden auf meiner Geschäftsreise mit diesem kleinen hübschen Hotel. Gerne wieder.

L'hôtel bénéficie d'une situation idéale pour une visite touristique et culturelle : en plein centre ville, juste derrière la Grossmünster - la principale cathédrale de Zurich -, à quelques pas de l'Opéra, pas loin de la Tonhalle. Malheureusement, la nuit il y a beaucoup de brouhaha dans la rue. Le personnel parle assez bien français. La chambre est petite mais correctement équipée (cependant, pas de climatisation) et bien entretenue. L'absence de service en chambre est partiellement compensée par un bar ouvert jusque très tard dans la soirée. La douche plutôt rustique : difficile de ne pas inonder la salle de bains. L'hôtel fournit un gel douche mais pas de lait corporel. L'inconvénient majeur est la connexion Internet, pratiquement inexistante en journée et très instable même après minuit.

Das Hotel ist sehr modern und einfach großartig was die Lage, die Zimmer und überhaupt alles anbetrifft. Wir waren nicht zum letzten Mal da!

Sehr schönes Kaffee mit Charme, sehr schöne Hotelzimmer, etwas klein für 2 Personen, extrem gute Fenster, kein Lärm dringt von aussen herein, trotz der zentralen Lage!

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, dennoch einigermaßen ruhig. Großes Problem: Kein eigens Parkhaus, keine Parkplätze in der Nähe, Zufahrt schlecht zu finden. Das benutzte öffentliche Parkhaus liegt zu Fuß ca. 10 Minuten entfernt und kostet 29 Sfr
