Spectacular view! Just steps away from all the hot spots! Can't wait to go back!!

Very comfortable and the outdoor amenity was fantastic - especially the infinity pool and it's outlook.

This hotel is absolutely breathtaking located directly on the beach in Waikiki. My husband and I live locally and went just for the evening and found that we really would have needed 2-3 days to truly enjoy all the hotel has to offer. The only negative thing I can say is that there are a LOT of children and families, but I suppose that's understandable for the touristy nature of the area. Also our smoke alarm went off with a piercing alarm early in the morning and we had to call the desk to have it disarmed which took a while. The battery was low and this was the alarm's way of notifying someone. Thank god we were checking out that day or I would have demanded some sort of compensation for the inconvenience and the price of 300.00 we paid for one night.

Our stay at the Sheraton Waikiki was great because we were with great friends. Aside from them our stay was anything but great. We are Starwood owners and made our reservations 6 months prior to our arrival for a king bed, ocean view room. When we arrived we got a room with ocean view, period. We received 2 double beds across the room from one another and the room was the size of a cruise boat room. Our view was fabulous, but the room was not. We were also told we had access to the Floor providing light breakfast and appetizers in the afternoon. We got there for breakfast only to be told we were not entitled to receive it. How embarrassed we were, especially in front of our friends. It is a good thing it did not define our stay. My husband tried and tried to get a room change or an upgrade, since we are owners, and was turned down each time. We will definitely not stay at this Sheraton again. Very disappointing.

We had an amazing time in Waikiki and the Sheraton was a large part of that - great location, smack bang in the middle of Waikiki, great beachfront breakfast bar and evening bars, not to mention the amazing adults-only Infinity pool!! Worth the visit !

We stayed 7 nights in December 2011. Our stay at the Sheraton was so relaxing. The infinity pool with full waiter service was fantastic. It's a very busy time of year so was quite crowded and you need to get there early to grab a lounge. Rent a cabana for the day for prime position and comfort. Everyone seems very aware of each others personal space which compensated for how busy it was. The staff were very helpful, the only complaint we had regarding the room was that upon arrival the glasses in our bathroom were dirty and we had wine glasses brought to the room that were also never cleaned by the cleaners during our 7 night stay. The beds and pillows are so comfortable that you have to drag yourself out. Ingredients cafe is a great idea for brekky at a cheap price. The dolphin/sea turtle swim that departs from Ko Olina was awesome and a must. The activities staff can book for you. It's a very early start but well worth it. Take a trip to Ala Moana shopping centre for a great day's shopping. We tried some fantastic restaurants, Roys in Waikiki, Alan Wongs, Morimoto's and would highly recommend. Apart from these 3 restaurants keep in mind that the size of the meals elsewhere are massive, and I mean massive, so when ordering meals be aware, the meal sizes were too big for two people most times. Rumfire and The Beach cafe at Sheraton had good food for lunch at a reasonable price except for the mini dogs with chlli beef, I had to send it back. All in all I would recommend the Sheraton Waikiki for a mix of relaxing and fun/active holiday. It's right on the beach and from the pools you look straight out to the beach and ocean and feel like you're part of it. We had the mountain view room on the top floor which was great. We were hoping for an upgrade but no luck, We figured we wouldn't be in our room much anyway so it didn't matter. Although Room on the small side , very comfortable.Have stayed at this Hotel 3 other times and even though it was being upgraded it was far Superior to other Hotels i.e. The Moana Surfrider which I and a group of 10 stayed last April.

The location and pool are what saves the Sheraton Waikiki. The quality of the room is 2 star at best with mouldy bathrooms, paper and plastic cups and spartan rooms that lack any resemblance of quality or style (and are certainly not contemporary minimalist). We paid for Ocean Front so not the cheap rooms but still the view was the only thing that saved us from checking out immediately. The per day hotel charge was fantastic value with 60 mins worth of international calls. free parking, free wifi, bottle of water and use of MP3 and DVD players. Overall if you get a deal you could stay here but only if you are going ocean front - otherwise there is better value to be had elsewhere.

Very comfortable hotel ideally located in the heart of Waikiki. Anyone who goes to Hawaii will definitely want to go back and I would definitely stay at the Sheraton.

I always stay at the Sheraton wherever I go so its with great disappointment that I must criticise the Sheraton Waikiki. I paid an enormous amount of money to stay in what I believed was one of the best rooms but besides the view, the room itself especially the bathroom was very tired looking and in desperate need of a refurbishment. Our bedlinen had huge holes in them (I don't think even hostels or motels would insult you like this). They don't change your bedsheets because the same yellow stain that was there when I arrived was still there the second day after housekeeping had been in. So I asked them to change it on the third day but they still didn't. After that I just couldn't be bothered with housekeeping anymore. When you ask for fresh towels the maids give you dirty looks and question you like you're a thief. I'm sorry how much money did I pay to stay there again? For the amount I paid the hotel could have purchased me new towels everyday and management would still have more than enough money left over for their Xmas party. The bath amenities are shocking - buy your own if you don't believe my review and intend to still stay at this awful place. We had to because the shampoo doesn't foam, the conditioner is cheap and they don't even give you bath wash - just bad quality soap. And then to add insult to injury when you complain to management they ignore you. Of course, why wouldn't they, I've already returned home, they have my money banked. Who needs to care about their guests when you have already taken their money. It's so disgusting, I've never been treated this poorly and worse I'm actually a starwood preferred guest because like I said I ALWAYS stay at the Sheraton. This is not a rant against the hotel chain, just the the unbelievably rude and arrogant management at the Sheraton Waikiki. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS HOTEL. You will not get what you paid for. There are plenty better ones like the TRUMP. They treat you like a king there. Save your money and go

Just returned from Oahu a few days ago. My wife and I spent a total of 3 nights at this hotel. Our stay was split 2 nights at the beginning and 1 night at the end. Both rooms were great. My wife wanted to get the same bed and pillows she loved them so much. Sunsets were great whether we were at the pool or at Rumfire havng drinks. There were complimentary Yogaquatics with Mossimo Monday thru Saturday which were really fun. I would definitely stay at the Sheraton Waikiki if/when I return to Oahu.

Best hotel ever stayed in for location pool and overall great place. Aussie steve

After a month on the west coast of mainland USA, we decided to have a relaxing few days in Hawaii on the way home to Australia. After much research we settled on the Sheraton Waikiki and could not have been happier. From the moment we arrived the service was first class, and the breathtaking moment when we first entered our ocean view room was sensational. The 180 degree view from Diamond Head to the sun setting was nothing short of amazing, able to watch the sea turtles swimming on the reef beside the edge swimming pool below our balcony on the 27th floor. The tour desk staff deserve a special mention for their advice and assistance when arranging activities. During our relaxing 6 nights at the hotel we spent many hours by the pool followed by evenings of great live entertainment at the Rum Fire lounge (best Mai Tais in town.. and we compared a few places). We booked a snorkelling trip out of Ko Olina and were able to swim alongside spinner dolphins, hired a car and took the beautiful drive around the island. Everything was handled stress free and efficiently by the hotel staff. We would definitely stay again and would recommend this hotel as one of the better we have ever stayed in, location was ideal, right in the heart of Waikiki beach an easy walk to shopping, markets, restaurants, bars and public beaches. 5 star +.

Pros: - close to both local spots like Intl Marketplace & commercial spots like Royal Hawaiian - nice common area (lobby, pool, koi pond) - great breakfast buffet; buy the package that hotels.com offers which includes breakfast Cons: - guest room bathrooms were poor; not fully remodeled, stained grout, rusty fixtures, crack in sink where if I splashed the water it would leak onto my feet - closets looked like they were from 1970 with old paint - pool staff unresponsive to question about dirty particles in the pool - $20/day "resort charge", though it does come with free parking and internet but why not just included it to the price Overall: My family had a great vacation. The facilities here are great. We could throw almost all the issues out except for the bathroom. I understand salt water corrosion and wear and tear but I have stayed at lesser hotels in countries like Malaysia, Panama, Taiwan with better bathrooms. I hope they work on remodeling them soon.

We chose the Sheraton Waikiki because of the family pool (Helumoa playground) as we were traveling with our 8 year old son. He didn't just like it, he loved it! And it looked just like the pics on the Sheraton website. It's got to be the best family pool in Waikiki so it made our stay very special. Even though this is the biggest hotel in Waikiki, it never felt overcrowded. With an abundance of lifts, we never had to wait long to get to our room. The rooms are however basic but because we were upgraded to an ocean view room with a spectacular view of Diamond Head we weren't complaining. We didn't spend much time in the room so it didn't matter and the beds were very comfortable. The location is superb and close to everything. We met other Australian families who had stayed at this hotel before and stated that they wouldn't stay anywhere else. We will be booking the Sheraton Waikiki again.

This was a very nice hotel with an excellent location and beach access. Breakfest was also good. Room was on floor six, beach front, right above the outside dining area. There was live music there until about 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and in the afternoons but was not too loud, and actually nice to hear even if you couldn't get away from it. Beaches close by were quite crowded and pool area was extremely crowded with people arriving very early and reserving all the pool chairs with their belongings. Even though almost all had no one sitting in them all day we could never get one and thus never really used the pool but went to the beach instead. Overall it was a nice place to stay and we would return.

Great location right on Waikiki beach. Fabulous infinity pool with bean bags to lounge in the water all day! Lots of loungers too. Hotel is supposed to be renovated but I'd say it was refreshed. Rooms are very simple, bathroom amenities aren't to the standard I expected for this level of hotel (same ones at Sheraton Princess Kaulani at half the price). Staff were very nice though and the pool/location/gym made up for the simple room where we didn't spend that much awake time. We stayed 6 nights and had a great stay.

We chose the Sheraton Waikiki based on online pictures of its amazing swimming pool, but the entire experience was so relaxing, enjoyable and fun that there are any number of other reasons to pick it. The ocean views along Waikiki Beach and out to sea – including views of the hotel's family of green sea turtles feeding right off its private beach – were breathtaking at every time of day or night; the facilities varied and first-rate; the room big enough and extremely comfortable; the staff extraordinarily friendly and helpful at every encounter; the location perfect, with access to Waikiki Beach and to all the shopping on Kalakaua Avenue; the $20 a day amenities charge great value for things like in-room Internet access and free parking; and the overall vibe was absolutely wonderful. There is a real sense of fun throughout the hotel and the endless flow of people and activities means there is always something going on. This may be the only negative about the Sheraton: it is a big, busy place with people everywhere. If you're looking for a quiet, restful place to get away from it all and don't want to see ANYBODOY, this is not the place. Go to Maui and esconce yourself in some isolated villa somewhere. But if you're looking for an exciting, absolutely fun family-friendly holiday in Waikiki, you won't go wrong with the Sheraton. Your kids won't want to leave the pool and you just won't want to leave, period. On second thought, skip the place altogether. I would hate for this positive review to convince so many people to book that the hotel is full when we go to book our next Hawaiian holiday there. :-P

While the Sheraton is in a great location, has an excellent buffet and an adult pool it also has some downsides. It truly caters to the Japanese tourist. Oahu does this generally speaking, this hotel especially does and I found myself feeling a bit out of place.Groups of people next door up late, not really partying just talking loudly. There is no chair to speak of in the room, just a tiny little bench. The elevators are quick so you have to run to catch them. Like I said, the breakfast buffet was excellent and they have a great happy hour 4-6 in the Bar.

We paid for an ocean front room and they were so nice to upgrade us to and oceanfront suite. We had such an unvelievable time. It overlooked the pool and ocean on one side and the Infintty pool from the bedroom. Made our stay so much more delightful. Great place.

We were there in our family vacation, we had a great time, very well located, one of the few hotel woth direct beach access to the beach in Wikiki

I am originally from Hawaii and come back each year,usually staying with family. However,bringing the teenagers with us usually prompts me to get reservations in Wiakiki for a day or two to allow the teens the Waikiki experience. We had a terrific stay. Have stayed before at Hilton and I felt sheraton was less conjested and room was better. I opted for a waterfront view and worth the extra dollars. On site restaurants a bit spendy but plenty o foptions around. close to everything and walk along the beach quite nice. appreciate the shaded areas as I am not a sun worshipper. Nice to have refrigerator in the room. I'd recommend this hotel.

I used this site to book my dream vacation with my daughter. I saved 5 years for it. After traveling all day to Sheraton Hawaii, we were told that the hotel was overbooked accidently and we had to use a different one. I had this booked for over 2 months. Then we were walked to another hotel being told that we could still use the other pools and what not. After walking to the other pools, being disabled, my daughter and I were told that we could not use any facilities there not being at their hotel. We were told to leave. My daughter was extremely embarrassed as we I, and hardly enjoyed the trip the was supposed to be a unforgettable vacation. Now after calling the hotel I have recieved no communication at all from them. I do not advise anyone to use these sites for I have been through a nightmare with the whole thing. A trip I can never afford again.

stayed at this hotel for 3 days and loved it. Amazing spot and love the adult infinity pool. Especially the orange been bags they put out for guests. Waitstaff was extremely nice and helpful. Great location for shopping as well and restaurant/bars

Love the kids's pool.

Stayed there 3 nights. Had an Ocean View Room Suite and it certainly was a decent size. Rather dated inside, but clean an the bed was very comfortable. We were on the 14th floor and experienced some wind noice inside the room - goes when you open the balcony door. Most of the top end Waikiki hotels lease quite a bit of their ground floor space to other businesses stores so initial impressions is somewhat different from an Ozzie Resort. Overall a good hotel although don't bother with the breakfast - unless you simply need to eat it's fine although the selection is not quite to the standard of other Australian Resorts. Would recommend a stay here - Yes of course!

BEAUTIFUL LOCATION. It's right on the beach and has spectacular views of the city, Diamond Head mtn, and the ocean. There is also a spa located inside that is to die for. Service here was pretty good and the concierge was spectacularly helpful. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

This places location is exellent and the view from our room on the 22nd floor was perfect! We could see the turtles from our balcony. The bar area's are great and loved the Mai Tai's but do not come back late and order room service - it was disgusting, a 5 year old could have done better. By all means stay there as it has it all, but do not eat anything other than the bar food!

The hotel was very conveniently located but isolated from the major traffic. Everything in Waikiki was walking distance. The pool was very well maintained and not too crowded. Its a good setup for kids but not so noisy that adults are uncomfortable.

We had a great stay at the Sheraton Waikiki. The staff was friendly, helpful, and always available. Any problems we had were immediately solved, and staff going out of their way to make life easier for you was the norm, not the exception. The last day we were there, the bell staff even helped us weigh our luggage to make sure that we had everything right for our flight. The infinity pool was awesome, the beach was amazing, and the Sheraton Waikiki did everything it could to make our stay the absolute best it could be. My only complaint was the resort fee of $20 every day. It was a mandatory fee, and I didn't mind paying it, but if it is a mandatory fee, why not just include it in to the price of the room? Tacking it on afterward seemed to be a bit underhanded to me.

Loved the Edge Pool Exellent !

If you can afford it stay here, it was convenient to everything, including the beach. I would stay here again, we stayed here and reef on the beach, this was better. Only complaint was there was not enough beach chairs to utilise for the size of the hotel, we did not go in peak season.

I recommend it. Get to the pool early, snag seats with towels. Good happy hour at hotel bar/cafe Rumfire. Infinity pool has great views.

Hotel was central to everything and had a incredible pool. We were going to go snorkling but snorkled out front of the hotel where we encountered several sea turtles.

the place was about what one would expect from a hotel in this area-nice comfortable beds, great view of diamondhead, & about anything available at the hotel. Our disappointments with the room was that there were no chairs inside the room to make it comfortable to watch tv or more mundane tasks such as putting on shoes or socks. The "chairs" on the lanai were extremely uncomfortable to sit on- a bench with about a 6" high back & an extremely long seating area is a more appropriate description of the "chairs" that were out there. Another minor problem was that the AC unit was either on or off-no in between. The room was either too hot or too cold at night!!

If you want to stay close to all the night life of Waikiki, then the Sheraton Waikiki is your hotel. It is located steps from all the shopping, restaurants and of course it is on the beach. The only hotel that I've seen with a very kid friendly pool besides having an adult only infinity pool too. Everything is pricey in Waikiki so if your expecting it, then nothing in or around this hotel will be a shock. Can't wait to go back.
