Awesome position for views and convenience. Great staff and service, excellent rooms.

This was a lovely good value hotel, well-located in what is otherwise a very hectic city. Our room on 17F had a fantastic view of the city and the Nile, and was very comfortable, although the bathroom is very small with no bath. The service in the executive lounge was good as was the breakfast buffet and a la carte breakfast service there. Our only gripe was being told that the lounge seats in the Buddha bar were "booked" even though not a single person was there at the time (didn't know you could book seats in a bar!!) and that the taxies hailed by the hotel staff at the entrance consistently refused to use their metres, and quoted ridiculously high prices for short trips.

The hotel was great. Service, particularly the concierge service did not follow through on a number of requests. A corkscrew was requested and took two days and then they would only open the bottle, not leave the corkscrew in the room. Other than that great hoel with excellent food and facilities.

Beautifully located by the river Nile. Great outdoor-areas. Good rooms, comfortable bed, nice view. Very cosy by the pool. Helpful concierge. Friendly people working here. Really good Moroccan restaurant on site. Unstable ATM-service. Expensive breakfast. Should be possible to make tea/coffee in your room. Close to operahouse/art-galleries. Good location.

Most of the Service was very good and quickly. Even about special wishes in the restaurants or the room you get immediate answers and they have some ideas. I did not find some adequately in the menu card - they brought just what i mentioned. I could not finish my bottle of wine - they send it later automatically to my room - with 2 glasses and in an ice tub. They have taxi drivers with standard rates!

In the past, I refuse for any trip to Cairo for reasons of congestion and noise, but after the advice of a friend that the accommodation in this hotel will change my view of Cairo .. already from this hotel fell in love Cairo .. to calm the hotel and Romancih and the lobby is the most wonderful and the room more than a great and comfortable .. And the bed does not like to get out of it .. and the sight of the Nile from the balcony thing imagination beyond description .. He really dreams hotel

I chose this hotel based on previous recommendations and was very pleased I did. It has the best location of any 5 star hotel in Cairo. The service was excellent. The food was very very good. Breakfast at about 30US $ a head seemed a little high before I went down to eat but you get just about anything you could want and its very good quality. I also ate in the Kibabye restaurant and food was excellent and much cheaper than a standard London restaurant. Room service was good too with hugh portions cooked to perfection and again very good value. Cairo is a megacity with fairly pushy people but the hotel staff were the exact opposite--very courteous and not at all invading your space. Overall this was amongst the best 5 star hotels I have stayed in and will recommend unreservedly.

The hotel is reallyg good, me and wife and other two friends enjoyed the stay at the hotel very much. The only problem is the taxi provided by the hotel. Very expensive. It costed 120 egyptian pounds for us to go to airport and at the same sitting in a 1970s car without a side mirror. This is porvided by the hotel!! if you want to get a taxi, hire one when you literrally walk out the hotel. the hotel taxi costed 30 egyptian pounds no matter where you.

Overall we were really satisfied by the standards provided by the Sofitel - the public areas were of a very high standard and the Opera Suite we were upgraded to was very comfortable. Slight niggles about the inconsistenty of services provided in the room aside (some days bottled water, other days not,) we would recommend the hotel as a haven of calm away from the chaotic city centre. Well worth treating yourself to a suite with access to the Club lounge as the extras provided here made the stay even more enjoyable

We had a wonderful stay at the Sofitel. All of the staff was pleasant, friendly and very helpful.

Simply put this is a perfectly well executed 5* in a developing country. If you like to stay on the compound or have your car pick you up for a day of sightseeing then it's beautiful, service is great, rooms are clean and well decorated if not very large. I wouldn't stay again, because I like like to pop in and out of the hotel on foot, walk around a bit, wander the streets, etc. It's a bit of an isolated location. On the upside, it's got it's own promenade on the Nile and a few lounges and restaurants right on the water which are beautiful. The Moroccan resto was fine, but nowhere near as good as Moroccan food I've had in Morocco.. or NY for that matter.

This hotel had amazing amenities, quality restaurants, excellent staff, was a great value, and had excellent proximity to the sights a tourist would want to go to (the Egypt museum, cairo tower in within walking distance), and convenient for day tour pick-ups from travel agencies for the pyramids in giza. Lovely nile river view, and extremely comfortable bedding. Only complaint was with the spa. We understand that services were limited because we attended during Ramadan, but we asked about the offerings at the front desk and were referred to our room brochure. After picking out our preferred massages, we were informed that out of the 25 options or so, only two were actually available. The massage was good, but we generally felt that communication of service changes were never really shared with the guests until you expected to get something and you couldn't. Occasionally, the restaurants also did not have items available that were listed on their menu.

Beautiful hotel, felt like royalty when i arrived. Concierge very helpful. Check in quick and professional, particular mention to Ramoun who was helpful and always smiling. The exchange rate was on par with rates outside hotel, so take advantage of this. Cigarettes were 25LE compared to 10LE outside, slightly expensive. Hotel ambience was lovely. i arrived as ramadan started and the hotel was preparing for the festivities. Beautiful room, well stocked minibar. beds very comfortable, lovely nile view on 3rd floor. would recommend this hotel. Hotel please buy a trolley for the staff who were seen struggling carrying huge ramadan star lights, they were to heavy to carry, make their jobs easier in that heat. would definetly return. x

Upon arrival at the Sofitel, we were incredibly surprised at the facilities and service. On the outside, the building is not much to look at, even an eyesore. However, once you go through the security checkpoints and get into the hotel, you will be blown away. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The main lobby is impeccably clean. The guest relations manager even took us to our room directly. The rooms themselves were clean and large. They were very modern and well-decorated. Because of the way the Sofitel is designed (a large, cylindrical tower), almost any room you receive above the 3rd floor or so will give you a great view of the city or the Nile. Room service is quick and there are no complaints. Choose Sofitel for your 5-star hotel needs.

The hotel has an impressive common area and great atmosphere. However, the room is somehow dated. The shower enclosure area has lots of visible mildews & molds. Tiles are not clean. And the housekeeping never replenished any supply for our 3 nights stay including the basic toilet paper. We had to call for the service twice in order to receive the correct missing supplies.

Uitstekend hotel. Wel jammer door het terug genomen toerisme niet alle restaurants geopend in het hotel. Ook het ontbreken van een een waterkoker op de kamer, voor het zetten van koffie/thee. Maar verder, een super hotel!!

Geweldig hotel qua locatie: in het centrum van Cairo, op een eiland in de Nijl, een oase van rust met prachtige kamers, alle met balkon. Wij zaten op de 24ste verdieping met uitzicht over de stad en konden zelfs de pyramides zien. De kamers, service en voorzieningen zijn top. Mooie terrassen aan de Nijl. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam en de maaltijde in de vele restaurants zijn prima. Wij kunnen dit aan iedereen aanbevelen!

Hotellet ligger fint til ved Nilens bredd, en kort taxitur fra de fleste severdigheter. Nyt stillheten og utsikten fra en balkongen og restaurantene. God frokostbuffet og hyggelig service. De eneste negative tingene er: 1. Det er ingen hyggelige kafeer eller restauranter i nabolaget. 2.Du må gå et stykke ut på gata for å finne en lokal taxi, som er mye billigere enn de hotellet har. 3. Småting som håndtakettil balkongdøren og andre ting løsner og blir ikke fikset.

çalışanlar ilgili ve güler yüzlü, konum tek kelimeyle mükemmel. nile bakan odalarda görüntü mükemmel.(nehir turuna gerek bile kalmayabilir.) otel imkanları kesinlikle yeterli.

this hotel in the heart of cairo on the southern tip of a nile island is a wonderful place. A peaceful and elegant haven surrounded by an energetic chaotic city. At times you did not feel in a city hotel but rather at a resort. the hotel decoration is elegant but yet warm the lobby the restaurants are all decorated stylishly. the service is really very kind and whenever you needed help the people were trying to please you with a smile. the guests are international and also quite pleasant. the restaurants are very inviting, The breakfast was excellent, the dinners were either OK/good upto excellent depending on the menu you chose. The selection of dishes at Deck and Cafe Sud could have been a bit more interesting. The a la card choice was a bit limited. all in all I had a fabulous stay at this hotel and I will definitely choose this hotel again when I come to Cairo. the money was well spent. I felt at home. Thank you all for this pleasant stay

中州の先端にあり、眺望は抜群。 それ程価格的に高くないクラブルームに宿泊すると、高層階と居心地の良いラウンジがもれなく付いてきます。 部屋の広さは、必要不十分。それほど広いわけではありませんが、二人で滞在するには不満はないでしょう。 ロビーもそれとなく高級感があり、スタッフの対応も的確で申し分ありませんでした。アメニティのエルメスグッズが可愛らしかったです。1階にあるテラスのカフェや２階にあるプールの雰囲気もよく、カイロ市内の喧騒や埃っぽさをリフレッシュしてくれます。 ただ、メインの道からちょっと入る上に、カイロ市内は暑い上に車優先なので、観光にはちょっと苦労します。 地下鉄の駅は徒歩で８分位ですが、ものすごく遠く感じますし、今のところそれほど地下鉄を使うこともないのが現状です。 唯一の不満は立地（これもよしあしですが）、観光などがツアーで組み込まれ、ホテルまでの送り迎えなどがある場合は、かなりお勧めのホテルだと思います。
