Excellent !

Hyatt Regency was an excellent hotel. The location was ideal and the hotel was really nice, especially for the great deal that we got off of Hotels.com. Couldn't imagine staying anywhere else if we were to go back to San Antonio.

Excellent location and Superior hotel facilities all the way around; staff were all ... very nice. The three couples in my party were all quite satisfied with our five day stay.

Excellent location right on the riverwalk and close to the Alamo. Easy walking to shopping areas, Tower of the Americas etc. Einsteins bagels right in the hotel was very handy and reasonably priced.

This hotel does not deserve good ratings. Though the hotel is right on the Riverwalk, the hotel is old and needs remodeling. I booked this hotel looking at highest ratings on hotels.com, but it is not what one would expect for this rating and Hyatt brand. The beds were uncomfortable and rooms not cleaned so well with visible dust on windows frame. The lobby area is even worst with worn out couches and sub par restrooms.

The location Hotel was great easy access to the Riverwalk, Alamo, and other attractions. Room was nice but lots of street noise and I had to fix a rattling vent when the air conditioning ran. Room service was a little late on Saturday they arrive around 5:30pm so we had to vacate for about 30 minutes. Overall was a good experience.Just a few minor issues.

This hotels beds are made of down and are completely uncomfortable. There was a pool on top that was nice but the wifi you had to pay for. Ive had 50 dollar hotels that offer free wifi. All in all I would have to say it was a horrible stay.

Hotel was fine. Would stay again... However, the shower curtain needed to be replaced, was a bit dirty with orange scum/ bacteria. Secondly, when I got my car back from valet the hood emblem was missing... I'm not acusing the valet, but??? The valet apologized, but didn't offer any solution. The positive side of that incident is I called th hotel and spoke with the manager , whom was more accomidationg than the valet employees, and he offered to file a claim or refund my $35.00 parking fee..

Stayed overnight in San Antonio for my daughter's 17th Birthday in February. Hyatt Regency opens up to the riverwalk. The Hyatt was right next to the Rainforest Cafe and a very short distance to the Hard Rock Cafe on the riverwalk. The Alamo and Ripley attractions were right across the street from the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. The only complaint my daughter had was there was only one outlet in our room that worked. One odd thing was that to turn the TV on in the room you had to turn the doorway light on as well. Our check out time was at noon but you can still stay parked in the parking garage until 4pm so that was a big plus! Very convenient stay for anyone who is not familiar with San Antonio. Main tourist attractions around this hotel are within SHORT walking distance.

Front desk and management staff are incompetent. A credit card authorization for staff attending a conference in this hotel was misplaced 3 times. An email with the scanned document was sent (4th) attempt and finally acknowledged by this group. Although the hotel is pleasant and well located the staff's lack of professionalism is very disappointing. Considering the cost involved, and the other hotels in the area, there are better ways to spend your money.

We had a great stay at the hotel. the location was very convenient to all the points of interest like the alamo, especially the riverwalk. The room was great. . .valet people were nice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Regency on the Riverwalk. The Room was comfortable, clean, and inviting. We were right on the riverwalk and within walking distance of so many sights and attractions. The staff was courteous and accomodating. We will definitely be going back soon.

Even though our room didn't have a wonderful view of the Riverwalk it did have easy access to it. I suggest you pay the extra for the breakfast; only instead of standing in line with all the families take your seat in the superb bar area. Wonderful service and still full access to the buffet line. Amazing cooked-to-order eggs. =)

this was my first hotel stay on San Antonio's Riverwalk and my experience was pleasant. the hotel is accessible from the riverwalk and is located across the street from a parking garage--for those who drive to San Antonio and opt for self parking. hotel is located in the heart of a variety of restaurants, bars, and lounges. my room was clean and quiet. staff was friendly and helpful. this place is definitely a repeat for me!

The location was great but that was it for this hotel. The double rooms had full size beds instead of queens and the beds were far from comfortable. Our room was smelly and dirty. There were three sticky spots on our carpet that were gum or something similar. The bathtub and shower curtain had mold growing on them. The doors and walls were thin and we heard people walking around and laughing all night long. The bottle of water I drank in my room was $5.00 and they nickle and dimed us on everything. I most certainly would not stay there again.

First time to stay here; definitely won't be the last.

EVERYTHING WAS EXCEPTIONAL: THE STAFF, THE UBICATION, THE SURROUNDINGS, THE ROOM, ETC.

There two choices for parking... pay 25.00 for a parking lot down the street and hoof the bags up to the room or pay the valet 30.00 to park it for you. The elevator was broken and our room was on the 10th floor.....so, we had to sit in the lobby and wait for 35 min. until it was fixed This is a very BIG hotel to Not have a working elevator. The rooms we super nice and the bed was ok.... The location is everything! Great restaurant just outside the hotel lobby doors. The hotel had some construction going on inside... but still very clean. At 9am sharp, we were woke up by the loudest hammering you have ever heard!!! I realize that there is no good time but 9 am is a little early for though who arrived late in the night.

Very nice place with comfortable, clean rooms. Located right in River Walk area with lots of restaurants and clubs---lots to do and it's any easy walk to most places you want to go. Alamo is only a short block away. Nice people at this hotel with nice facilities. The only problem is the valet parking. They are really slow to get your car----usually a 20 minute wait, even if you call downstairs first. But then, we were also there during the Alamo Bowl, so maybe that was part of it. I'd definitely return, though, as you can't beat a nicely maintained place with the River Walk across the street.

The location of the Hyatt was prime for Riverwalk acccess. We never had to walk more than 2 or 3 minutes to find the right restaurant, pub, site-seeing opportunity, or a beautifully lit section of the Riverwalk. The night lights from Christmas were still up, which added to the romantic atmosphere. The on-site ammenities were great, especially the Q restaurant in the Hyatt, and Mad Dog's pub just outside the back door that opens up to the Riverwalk. The room was comfortable and clean, and there were no noise issues. My wife even left her jacket in the closet, and the Hyatt staff mailed it to us with no extra charges. We were pleased with our stay, and would happily stay there again.

The hotel was great. The staff were wonderful....but in this day it is a real pain that they charge extra for WIFI.....I was told that if you were in the main lobby there was a free WIFI connection and that there were connected computers that the guests could use...but I never found either.....Since I was traveling for pleasure this was not a huge problem....but I really missed my wifi.

Front desk was told not to charge my credit card because someone else was covering my bill however my card was still charged for parking and incidentals.

Our stay at the Hyatt was just wonderful. We enjoyed every minuet of it, everything was great. Every year we go to San Antonio to enjoy the New Years Party downtown. This year we made reservations early to stay at the Hyatt Regency and I am so glad we did. It was great and I highly recommend it.

On Riverwalk and very close to all locations for a visitor

EXCELLENT HOTEL! GOOD SERVICE. ONLY THING IS THAT THEY CHARGE $27.00 FOR PARKING THE CAR OVERNIGHT. THERE IS NO WHERE ELSE YOU CAN PARK IT.

Really enjoyed the convenience of location. Had a nice view of the alamo from our room and with the riverwalk and the surrounding area all decked out in beautiful Christmas decor and lighting, it was a wonderful visit.

We had a wonderful time in San Antonio and staying at the Hyatt on the Riverwalk made our stay even better. Being able to walk out of our hotel and be on the famous Riverwalk was awesome. We walked it in the morning for exercise and at night for fun.

The hotel room was comfortable and nicely decorated. The one thing that was not so good -- the toilet flush was like a volcano erupting. The first night I scared my husband half to death when I flushed. It is a very LOUD whoosh. They should fix that because I heard the flushes in other rooms next to us.

The room was clean and comfortable but the elevators were very ineffective. We had to wait for a long time to get on an elevator. They decided to paint the elevator when they had 2000 people in the hotel. We were on the 3rd floor and decided to take the stairs but the stairs were blocked off. We had to jump a rail to be able to walk downstairs. This was very unsafe. The staff were very unresponsive and tried to make excuses.

We're currently on a two week trek around Texas and this was the first hotel we stayed at of two in San Antonio. GREAT experience and our best hotel yet! The glass elevators blew my two year old's mind. Beds were completely comfortable, service was great, and it's located in the heart of the River Walk. If we ever return to San Antonio, I will definitely book here.

We've stayed here several times, and always because of its proximity to San Antonio's downtown treasures. This year, we had views of the Alamo and it's tree lit up at night. Great!
