The staff was awesome and super friendly, but the hotel is dilapidated. It obviously was really nice at one point, but it's gone down hill.

I was really disappointed with the Orlando Sun Resort. When we arrived and we saw the resort for the first time I thought OK, this is just what we need, then upon check-in things went down hill from there. The resort was being renovated which is a good thing. They are pet friendly which is a great thing but I think $30.00 plus tax is a bit high for a 10 lb. dog. We were put in a room that was on the backside of a nearly vacant resort. We didn't have a blanket for our bed, so I called the front desk 3 times and didn't get an answer, so I WALKED to the check-in desk and was greeted by 3 employees that thought i was lying about calling them and not getting an answer, so I called them from my cell phone while standing there and the phones were not working, it was supppsedly a glitch in the system. The ice machines were not working in any of the surronding buildings so again I had to go to check in for ice. OHHH!! I don't want to forget the $50.00 deposit above the pet deposit that we had to have charged to our card for incidental expenses, that was to be returned to our card within 7 business days.....We haven't seen it yet!

Hotel, was not in the best shape, to be kind. They have only king and twin beds, no queen sizes as advertised, room was dirty and unclean. Our second room leaked water from upper level, no towels, no hot water, refrige did not cool, pool and hot tub were nasty. The "ONLY" reason we stayed was it was the ONLY room left for spring break... Now we know why !! If we had to do all over again, we would have slept in the car!!!!!!!!!

Hotel was under renovation, hotel was understaffed, the check in was appallling. disappointing overall experience

Front desk is unorganized and rude, our room wasn't ready an hour and a half after check in time! Light in bathroom didn't work, air conditioners were very weak and shut off constantly.... Only stayed 2 nights for convience reasons!!

By the looks of it, the Orlando Sun Resort was probably quite popular about 20 years ago, but is serious need of remodeling now. The in-room amenities were sparse (no shampoo or bath soap?). The ground conditions were only taken care of in the areas most visible. The place generally felt very tired and out-dated.

Very slow service at front desk. Extra fees at check-in.

This resort is beautifully stuck in the 1980s. Decor, color scheme, amenities are all from that period. The lobby was nice and clean, but completely vacant. Stores were all closed, and no food or beverages were available anywhere on property. The ice machine closest to my room was rusted into oblivion, as was the closest emergency light I could see. The room itself was clean and neat; the bed was comfy enough, and the big old CRT television worked on some channels. It even had a Playstation controller behind it, hooked up to a circuit board that didn't seem to do anything. If the place had been cheaper I would happily stay there, but for the price I paid I expect something a bit more up to date.

Years ago this would have been a fine facility. Apparently it has been in financial distress for a while. The exterior is ragged, over grown and appears to belong in a blighted area. The lobby and restraurant area are in OK condition. Some of the rooms have been renovated and are acceptable. I don't think they are renting out the unrenovated rooms. The renovations being done are not of sufficent quality to return it to a "resort" categeory. More like a decent HowardJohnsons, if you remember them. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and reasonably comfortable.

This is an older facility, but seems to be taken care of. The staff is very friendly and acomidating. Rooms are clean, and comfortable. The room I stayed in lacked a microwave and a small refrigator, a convenience that I am used too in a hotel these days.

from the looks of this motel it seems to be clean, pretty and quiet however it is literally located on the side of the on ramp to get on route 4. the grounds are horribly kept, cobwebs on the deck/porch. it is scarey looking actually. my 2 friends and I could not believe that they charged a 10 dollar hotel fee ontop of what you paid for the room and it actually looks like the projects of an inner city. there was NO INFORMATION about any of the parks and when we asked the guy at the front desk he gave us the wrong directions to universal. the signs to get to the place aren't noticeable either so we drove by the place then turned around and finally found it. just wasn't happy at all. could have been more satisfied staying at a chain motel.

The grounds were neglected and overgrown. Also, we were unable to get washcloths and towels without going to the main desk. There are many better choices in the area.

GOOD VALUE FOR THE BUCK. IT IS DOWN SIZED AND A LOT OF STUFF IS NOT OPENED . BUT IT IS GOOD FOR A BUSINESS TRAVLER.

I booked two rooms at this hotel for a convention and it was a challenge. On our first try at rooms, one set of room keys didn't work and the other room smelled of mold. Attempt number 2 was a little better because I was given a new room that didn't smell, but the other room, when we got the keys to work, smelled of smoke (and it's supposed to be a non-smoking hotel). Third time was a charm...I guess...because we got a second room that was okay. The air conditioner was really loud, there were stains on the sheets, and bugs in the outside ice machines. Overall, not the best experience and we won't be going back.

Out dated and needing some major tlc.

I booked this hotel because I wanted to take a bolloon ride for my 31st birthday and the company meets at this hotel. I didn't do my normal research and forgot to pay attention to room pictures, I'll admit. I could tell it wasn't going to be the greatest but ... goodness! Wish I stayed at the Raddisson next door. I could tell the AC filter needed to be changed. The room "looked" clean but smelled like urine. I didn't want my kids to sit or touch the carpet. Barely slept comfortable on the beds (just didnt trust the blanket) so I chose to cover up with my jacket instead. Bathrooms had no tub...only shower :( = sink bath for my 2 year old. The front desk attendants were really friendly. Old and outdated furniture. Nothing comfortable about the room stay AT all... except maybe cable TV. Would never consider using anything... just wanted to be in and out and opted not to count the stay at this hotel as part of the real reason I went to Orlando in the first place... My Hot air balloon ride.

This hotel looks like something from the 60s that may have been quite the place at one time but now it looks like a deserted army base. Front gate is overgrown with weeds and the guard house is empty. Signage to find this hotel is non-existant. Hotels.com should remove this place as a possible place to stay.

Property is being refurbished with new management. They are not ready for prime time.

This hotel was so convenient. I will definitly stay here again. My only complaint is that they were supposed to have a shuttle to disney, when we arrived we were told they no longer offered this. They also advertised that they had Disney tickets to be purchased at the counter however noone at the hotel knew when the people working the ticket counter were scheduled. All in all this was a great choice and very close to Disney. The shuttle wasn't even an issue because Disney parking is very convenient.

When we made the reservation, this property was still owned by Ramada. We did not receive any notice that the property had been sold and changed its name. The new management did not live up to the standards you would expect from a property that was previously held by Ramada. The "hot tub" was filled in with dirt, the landscaping was non-existent, there were hardly any other people staying there, they had cancelled the free shuttles to the nearby amusement parks without notice or apology and they charged us for breakfast that was supposed to be free. I do not recommend staying here at all.

The pool is awesome at midnight!

THE FIRST ROOM WE HAD THE LINENS HAD THROW UP ON THEM,AND SLIDING GLASS DOORS WOULDNT OPEN,SECOND ROOM WE HAD THE TOILET WOULDNT FLUSH,WE WONT BE BACK....

The room was really shabby. There was no blankets on the beds. The bed didn't have a fitted sheet, they just laid a regular sheet over the mattress....didn't even tuck the sheet it! The room safe didn't work and I had to go to the front desk three times to get the room card to work. The pool had a foamy film on it and there were bugs and leaves in the pool. The toilet didn't flush right so we were afraid to use it. This place was a real dump! Would never return here. The security man was really nice helping us to get into our room and the hotel was in a great location to stay at for going to Disney, but I wouldn't return.

They want to charge 10 dollars for one bottle of water. When booked they were a Ramada Inn and then before we arrived Ramada dropped them. The rooms were at the very least like camping on the ground. Ramada Inn Corporate headquarters could do nothing to stop the room charges.

If all you're going to do is lay your head down at night, this hotel may sufice...but not for me ever again. The check in procedure was a joke (the front desk clerk stated he had very good facial recall & would remember who was next in line for a room...after standing around for about two hours...with 30 or so of my closest new friends...I noticed he was actually just giving out the rooms to whoever was next in line. I only got my room after standing right in his line of view & reminding him that I was before any of the other people he had serviced already). The building we were in, according to the cleaning staff, had not actually been in operation for some time & all of a sudden they were asked to clean those rooms. As I entered my room, the cleaning staff actually entered behind me to "clean" the bathroom...that consisted of spraying something out of a bottle into the sink & shower. Then they left. I inspected the shower only to find a bunch of hair from other guests heads & other parts of their bodies all over the shower floor. I grabbed the cleaning staff before they left the building & they did come back right away & did a much better job at cleaning the bathroom (I think only because I stood over them & actually watched them clean). The grounds around my building were filled with weeds at least a foot & a half high & there were no ice machines in our building or any of the surrounding buildings. The matresses were lumpy, old & uncomfortable. There was only one throw blanket per bed & it wasn't even big enough for two people to share. There was 1 wash cloth & 3 towels for a family of 5 to use. The towels were replaced daily but only with the same #...never more than 3 towels & 1 wash cloth. This property is very conveniently located to the Theme Parks, shopping & dining but those are the only compliments I can give. I'm actually surprised this was given a 3 star rating...I would say 1 star at best. I paid a pretty low nightly rate for this room & thought I was

When I booked it was called the Ramada Orlando Celebration Convention Resort. Somewhere in between the name was changed, which caused some confusion when looking for it. It is one of the older motels, however despite its age, it looked well maintained and was clean. When we checked in, there was only one set of towels, I called the desk, and more were brought right up within minutes. The only negative thing I can say is the wall unit air conditioner/heater was quite noisy when turning on and off all night. But that was just probably because I'm not used to hearing noises at night. The pool was too cool to be comfortable (February) but overall for the price it was a good place to stay, not far from Disney or I-4 and a breeze to get anywhere (if you don't get lost...lol). I would stay here again.

I am never staying at the orlando sun resort, ever again, it took 2 hours for them to check us in, there was no towels or toiletries in the room, the pool was closed, because the water was black as night, all around the hotels looks run down and all, like if it has seen better days in the distant past, would not recomend this hotel to nobody.

Me & my family booked for president's day weekend. We went to check in around 11PM, there were 50 people on the line complaining and fussing. The rooms were not cleaned and unavailable at that time. It was a mission to find the place because they still had the Ramada sign up. I was driving in circles for half an hour. We got no room service, no extra towels, and no quilts! Thank goodness we only went to the rooms to sleep and were too tired to really do anything about the situation. Not a pleasant stay at all. Sorry, but no.

I never that experiance in USA, Waited 4 hours to check-in though i have confirmed reservation and reception people always said room are not clean and it will be ready in an hour etc.,,,

This hotel was absolutely horrible. We tried to check in at 4:24, only to be told our room was not ready, and that it would be 45 minutes to an hour before it was ready. Check in was supposed to be at 4. There was a lobby full of customers in the same boat, they had no clean rooms and blamed it on being sold out the night before. Our disabled daughter needed to get out of the car, and when they were told this, they said they would expedite our room. They kept telling us, "A few more minutes" until and hour and a half had gone by. When hotels.com called them for us, they told them it would be 5 minutes, yet when I walked back up there, they said they did not say that. The room was not good. The sliding door to the pool area had a broken lock, and had a rigged repair. There were no wash clothes, toilet paper, blankets, and only 2 towels. There were no fitted sheets on the bed. We called and asked for linens, only to be told that they had NO wash cloths, blankets, sheets, pillowcases, shampoo. They finally brought us toilet paper and towels 5 hours after we asked for them. We had to cut a towel for washcloths and we had to buy blankets. The shower was barely warm. We called and told them, and they said they would send maintenience. They never did, over 3 days. This was the first vacation my family had in 5 years and this hotel completely ruined it. They very obviously did not care how they were affecting their patrons. NO WASH CLOTHS< BLANKETS< SHEETS< HOT WATER NO APOLOGY! I would not stay at this hotel. I would recommend it's removal from the listings.

This is BY FAR the WORST hotel I have ever, ever stayed in and I have travelled the world extensively. We had to wait in the hotel lobby for hours until the room was even ready, even though we arrived at 5:30 pm. They were so unorganized, unfriendly. They were supposedly behind in cleaning the rooms - when we finally got into our "clean" room it was the most disgusting thing. It was beyond filthy. I don't think that room had been cleaned in years. The bathtub drain had someone else's hair in it (and that hair was everywhere, else, as well). It clearly hadn't been vacuumed in I don't know how long. There was stains all over the sheets, no blankets, no towels, no toiletries. No refrigerator when we were told there would be. I am serious about this place - do not stay here. They could not pay ME to EVER go back. I couldn't wait to get out of there it was just so incredibly disgusting. I was very upset, and grossed out.

complexo hoteleiro muito grande e desorganizado. Não há serviço de quarto, dificuldade de conseguir uma água. Aparência de abandono. Sem elevadores é muito difícil subir com malas...

Al llegar al Hotel en realidad no tiene el nombre de Orlando Sun Resort por ningún lado y el nombre que esta es Ramada o sea que cuando te vas acercando al destino crees que estás perdido pero después que preguntas dicen que es el Orlando Sun Resort aunque afuera diga Ramada. El lobby se ve bien y limpio. Cuando llegas tienen que desplazarte en carro alrededor para llegar a las habitaciones y los estacionamientos les falta iluminación. La parte de afuera del cuarto y alrededores del los estacionamientos no se ven limpios. La piscina aunque nunca la uso esta super sucia de color verde, le tienen que cambiar el agua y no lo han hecho. Los cuartos están limpios. La falta de ilumincación en los estacionamientos hace ver que el lugar pudiera no ser muy seguro.

desde el ingreso "check in" fue una linea de espera de dos horas, solo dos personas atendiendo la fila y las lineas telefonicas, el termino RESORT hace una congnotacion de muchos servicios y areas de recreacion y habitaciones en el hotel mas amplias y atractivas, en mi concepto es un hotel tipo INN, muy caro, ademas se ofrece como un hotel RAMADA y no es asi en nada.
