Grand Hyatt New York - نيويورك

Asked for towels , never got them ! Asked to store my bags , was sent to a huge line ! Staff is hesitate to help almost...... not happy the way the staff treats its guest to be honest. Hotel is pretty nice, functional and convinient !

We were looking forward to our stay at the Grand Hyatt with our 5 year old granddaughters. The situation with lights in the room left us all in the dark at 9 PM when the girls went to sleep as we were able to have lights all on or all off. Perhaps there was a fault with our room's system but the sophistication of the way it was supposed to work was not a plus. A simpler system of turning lights on and off would have been appreciated. I also thought that charging $2 to check a bag was inappropriate at a hotel of this caliber We often stay at hotels and they hold our bags for us free of charge.

If you are taking the train in very convient. Hotel was great staff very friendly

Had a wonderful weekend at the Hyatt. Wish prices would be a little less expensice, so I would be able able to come into the city more often and stay at the Hyatt.

One disturbing incident occured. My husband and I returned to our room at 5:00 pm to find the housekeeper had left the door ajar with the security bar. It looked like she may have left after cleaning the room and intending to come back in, pulled the security bar to keep the door from closing and forgot to come back. Thankfully nothing had been stolen. Our room was not in plain sight or near the elevators. But it's a little disturbing to think everything could have been taken if someone had noticed the door was propped open.

Everything was great. The room was beautiful, modern, clean and comfortable. Near to everything. Would stay again for sure.

Spent 3 nights at the hotel. Very convenient to NYC sites. Booked a clubroom but was checked into a regular room. Went back and asked for a change. Next room was on the club floor but room was smoked in even though it was classified as nonsmoking. Room was not clean. Best part of the hotel was the club lounge --convenient and well stocked

Our stay at the Grand Hyatt New York was excellent from start to finish. Accommodations were perfect and every staff member was friendly, professional and extremely helpful. The hotel is ideally located for so much of what New York has to offer...walking distance to the theater district, sight-seeing and shopping! We will definitely book our next stay in NY at the Grand Hyatt.

The hotel is relatively ok and the room is fine for a short stay. My only comment is that I felt the service was poor. Everytime I called front desk or housekeeping they either took too long to answer so you gave up after a while or they sent you to another department where they would not answer or could not help. Very frustrating and reflects poorly on the hotel. A big hotel with no personality!

1) Staff in general arrogant towards customers, from concierge to reception to restaurant. 2) Charge every little petty things, which is still ok to me, but the attitude and/or expression is quite unbelievable. 3) Room cleaning good, and the room ambience good. 4) Conclusion: hardware is great, location is great. If you do not need interactions with any hotel staff, ok.

Guess this is expected being New York, the corporate setting I mean. I was however on a holiday with my Family and whilst I found the location of the hotel perfect its not the most Family Friendly. In my opinion it had a more corporate Vibe. I experienced an unfriendly doorman at 3.00am Friday Morning and then experienced Felix an absolute pleasure, then there was Christina who also contributed to an overall pleasurable stay.

This beautifully re-designed hotel could not be more convenient for those travelling to NYC by train into Grand Central Station. You don't even have to go out to the street because it's attached to it. Easy access to the subway system and centralized location make it a great option. My only comment is that it is better suited for two people in a room rather than three.

This Hyatt location by grand central is in the perfect area. It's close to all transportation, and main attractions. As a native new Yorker, I must say this is by far the best hotel!!!

My friends and I stayed here for my brithday. It is in a great location and is beautiful inside. The staff was sweet and helpful. With the weather change, the temperature of our room was really hot. im sure once summer is really here the AC will be kicked on. Other than that, id stay again!

My stay wasn't horrible but it was not the best I know it could have been. I only stayed one night but I didn't feel very welcomed by the staff. The concierge desk was the most unhelpful to me and made it seem as if I was getting on his nerves or bothering him with my questions. I had 2 keys and one kept deactivating I asked the concierge desk and was rudely directed to a long line at the check in. I just thought he could have been way more helpful towards me. That was my last time asking concierge anything I felt to uncomfortable to ask anything after that. I think next time I need a night in the city I'll look to stay somewhere else.

I visited the Hyatt for a get away weekend with my mom and sister, the staff was really friendly and accommodating to us, we told them it was a special weekend and they did their best to make it fabulous! There is a convenient entrance right from grand central station, everything is a short cab ride/easy access to subways as well. Would definitely go back!

I was really pleased with the friendly staff at the reception counter and lobby area. The hotel is located in the prime area in Manhattan which makes it very convenient. I would have expected larger room and bathrooms, considering the steep premium that this hotel commands. This was the only issue according to me.

The bathroom has a shelf about 8 inches above the sink. If you need to wash your face or spit out your toothpaste, you have to turn your head sideways and squeeze in between the shelf and the sink. The shower liner falls 2 inches below the top of the tub. This causes it to fall outside of the tub frequently and you flood the bathroom floor. The tub is embedded in the walls of the bathroom, so there is no lip, meaning there is no where to rest your foot. The couch is on a large wooden platform. The platform extends about 1 foot beyond the end of the couch, which will cause you to bang your toes if you are not careful. The light switches are digital and slow. It takes 2-8 seconds for the lights to turn on. If you turn out all the lights it also turns out the electrical outlets, so your electronics will not charge. The alarm clock is a large, heavy box. the numbers on the clock are only about 1 inch high, created with tiny LEDs, making it hard to see. Overall, the rooms are very poorly designed. The elevators are tiny and almost always packed. Four of five elevators look like tiny freight elevators. The fifth is very nicely decorated. The hallways are brightly lit and are one of the best features of this hotel.

Great hotel, comforrtable, modern, hi-tech; really enjoyed staying here. One problem was radio alarm went off early in AM. Apparently housekeeping forgot to see it was turned off. When we complained they gave us a free breakfasst.

Great Hotel, great location. It is a 10 minute walk from Times Square. The rooms are huge for New York, we had a king bed and a whole sitting area. The bathroom was large as well.

I just recently visited this hotel for a one night stay. It exceeded my expectations in quality and location. It was about a ten minute walk from Time Square which is far enough to be away from the lights and noise when you are through with it. Also, my largest fear was bed bugs. Having worked in a the commercial pest control industry I have actual training on searching for signs of bed bugs and I tore that room apart and there wasn't any indication that the room had ever been infested. This was my primary concern above all else when looking for a hotel, but I was more than satisifed with the hotel. I would reccomend it to anyone that was looking in that price range. Also, as an added bonus, I had dinner in the hotel bar that night and sat by the window which was over looking the Cipriani (sp?) which was hosting a super fancy party. So watching all the guests arrive in their limos and wearing their ball gowns was an added treat. The staff was nice, the electronic check in and check out was awesome and the room couldn't have been better. Without a doubt that will be the first place I check the next time I go to NYC for a visit.

It was just so easy to get off the train in Grand Central and walk thru the Lexington Passage,follow signs to the hotel lobby! This hotel is located truly in the center of it all! Great hotel.

I knew I wasn't going to be disappointed once I stepped into the lobby. For the price of this hotel, the location was awesome. The room was super modern. I have nothing bad to see about my recent stay :)

Didn't realize they had renovated the rooms. It was very nice, clean, spacious, and quiet. Couldn't ask for much more.

The hotel had a very luxurious feel to it. The staff were super friendly. We brought my 4 yr old daughter and the reception desk clerk sent her cookies and milk for bedtime. We were also upgraded from a double deluxe room to king deluxe room with a roll out bed for no extra cost. The bathrooms were gorgeous. The only downfall is that there is no parking near the building, we parked 3 streets away in a parking garage which was not too expensive. There was a delightful breakfast nook across the street (only one around). The location of the hotel is very convenient only 5 minute walk to times square and rockefeller center. It was a really enjoyable stay.

Hotel is well located. Room adequate and somewhat updated. Could use a coffee maker in room. Magnifying mirror would be a plus. Only fat pillows. If you like flatter, bring your own.

self fast quick and efficienr check in and out. Great, clean, spacious, state of the art room. Best hotel in NYC so far

Absolutely brililant stay from beginning to end. The room was exceptional, efficiency of check-in / out was excellent (no human interaction required whatsoever including issuing room keys...but there if you needed it). Just a brilliant, brilliant stay.

It's a nice hotel, but check in was a pain... no one there to help you and the self check in doesn't work. The hotel room was nice except where the wallpaper was pealing. Also, the high tech lights didn't work when set to dim. For the money it costs to stay here... I would have expected more from the Grand Hyatt. Not sure I'll be staying there again.

Walking distance to Times square very fun at night! Surroundings very safe. The very high dependable standards of a Hyatt. We could have slept all day with the low noise and low light of the room. Good quality food at any hour of the night. Overall an excellent stay with very high value.

staff extremely nice. loved the room. large size for NYC! stayed with kids and they loved it also!

The Grand Hyatt NYC is superbly located on E42nd St right beside Grand Central Terminal and close to all the major attractions. Many are within walking distances and if not you don't even have to go outside to get the subway ! 7 day subway tickets at $29 are great value. Recently refurbished it is bright clean and offers great value for money. The concierges looked after us extremely well especially since one of our party need emergency dental treatment as soon as we arrived. We were a party of 4 staying in two rooms that each had two double beds. There was ample room even with all our shopping. Rooms were cleaned daily and sheets were changed regularly. Good Gym available. We have stayed her 3 times before and would come back again.

Great room but NO HOT WATER!!!!!!!!!

the food is horrible...the staff is mediocre and you wont have the nyc vibe here. There are dozens of better choices

The Grand Hyatt was great value for us. The room was a good size (although when you are a party of 4, no room seems quite big enough). The renovations give the hotel a modern feel without seeming cold, and the 24hr gym is very convenient. With more good luck than forethought I booked into the Grand Club...It is a tiny bit more but the value you get was returned tenfold. The breakfasts, business centre, open lounge with beverages and snacks as well as the grand club concierge made us feel spoilt. The concierge in the foyer also set us up with some great seats in MSG for a reasonable price at very short notice. Thank You Grand Hyatt, we had a blast

GREAT RATE AND SERVICES

I am a bit reluctant to complain, as the desk manager was nice enough to reduce the rate on my second night to match our corporate limit. However, the bathroom was completely dirty and I cleaned the sink myself. I eventually called the front desk to request housekeeping and they came to clean the dirty floors. Overall, the hotel is nice. They need to pay a bit more attention to the details.

very uncomortable rooms, overpriced. would not recommend to anyone.

Clean rooms, comfy beds. The location right above Grand Central Station was perfect for getting around town. I'd definitely stay here again.
