Every employee we came into contact with while at the hotel was extremely courteous and helpful. We had the feeling the employees valued our business and we felt safe and welcome in the downtown core. Definitely felt like a night of pampering.

The staff were amazing! The bedroom was very nice. The plumbing was a bit finicky ( flushing down very slow..needed to hold the lever until gone). Not great for parking and very expensive too. Although we did get a very good rate. The bathroom could have been a bit more scrutinized. Overall I would stay there again!

The hotel is right next tithe Calgary tower and the main drag. Also onlh a ten minute walk to the saddledome.

For the price we paid this was a fantasitc place. Nothing to complain about at all. Will defo come back to stay.

An excellent value with the Calgary Tower right across the street as well as restaurants, theatres, etc. Beautiful rooms, great staff - a complete homerun.

Great staff, very clean except for gum on the floor in our room. Other wise very clean. Road construction and one ways in Calgary a little frusturating, but all in all a good visit. The pleasant staff made up for it. :) 4.5 star rating out of 5

Wanted to stay an extra day but the manager at the check in counter was so unaccommadating that we ended up staying the extra night at the Hotel right across the street.

First off we were told we had free breakfast for two with our reservation, but when breakfast came we decided we just wanted a continental breakfast. We were told to go to Trader restaurant, so that's where we went. When we asked for the continental breakfast the manager showed us where it was. When there was nothing left we settled for 2 pieces of toast each and we both had a glass of orange juice. When we were finished we were presented with a bill for $21.00, what a joke. I'm sorry, that is first off WAY over priced, the juice should have at least come with a shot of hard liquor if i'm going to pay $12 for two glasses of juice. At the front desk when we asked about this, they said that our reservation didn't include the breakfast and that we would have to show proof of our reservation stating this. So I had to go up to my room and bring down my lap top with the email to prove our "free breakfast" or toast... I will not be eating there again, its a rip off.

We chose this hotel as we were arriving on the Rocky Mountaineer. It was on the opposite side of the road to the station - a fab location. The receptionist was very friendly, the room we had was very spacious with a fabulous bathroom. We didn't eat in the hotel so can not comment on the food/resturant service but can recommend the 360 Resturant at the top of the Calgary Tower - not cheap but fab food.

Prepare to pay $25 extra to park your car at the hotel. Fire alarm went off (prank). They made us evacuate for nothing. Rooms are dated and air conditioning was not working properly. Bath tub drained slow. Toilet flushed on it's own in the middle of the night.

Hotel was everything we expected for the price paid. Staff is very courteous. Only problem encountered was the streaming movie rental service - bad picture.

It is is really nice hotel, with pretty good gym and decent pool and hot top. The only downside is the paid parking ($25) and paid internet ($16)

We had a great stay at the Marriot. The service in the hotel was the best I have had in Calgary. Room service was quick and they even threw in something extra. The beds were very comfortable. Check out is later than most hotels, at noon. Also, we were connected by the +15 so we parked in the telus convention centre and then walked inside to our hotel and also to the Epcor centre to watch live theatre. We never had to leave the building !! I would definitely recommend this hotel. It has reasonable rates, a great location, and great service !!

After reading reviews I was expecting this hotel to be nice but not super nice. I was pleasantly surprised in a lot of ways. Maybe we lucked out but our room was really nice, really spacious and very clean. The bed was one of the more comfortable beds in a hotel I've had. The furniture was all in perfect condition and we had a great view of downtown Calgary. We really enjoyed the convenience of the location and that it had walkways to the parkade so that we didn't have to go outside to get our vehicle (we choose to park ourselves and not use valet because we didn't want to wait to have someone else get our car). I would choose to stay here again!

Very nice hotel, downtown location was great. Price did not include parking which was $20. We did not realize that price quoted online was in US funds, so the amount appearing on our charge card was higher than expectted. In room internet too pricey at about $15. In room movies also $15, thats a lot for this day and age when you could get most of the same movies for $5 at a rental shop.

This hotel is right across the street fron the calgary tower.

We found the rate through hotels.ca was less than direct. You can park in the Telus convention Centre underground parkade and access the Marriot without going outdoors although it is a bit of a hike. Weekend rates ended up being about 1/3 of the hotels valet parking. The Marriot is 2 blocks from the c-Train, and well situated in downtown Calgary.
