Econo Lodge Downtown - كولورادو سبرينج

This place was very basic but with the lowest price in town it was perfectly acceptable, except the darn shower that would turn scalding intermittently (assumedly when nearby rooms flushed their toilets). I even adjusted the temperature to just warm enough and still experienced a jolt of hot water that almost sent me through the roof.

This place is exactly what it appears to be. It's run down, the non-smoking rooms smell like ashtrays and there is a legitimate hoarder living in room 117 (I was unlucky enough to walk by while the door was open). It's the cheapest place in town and the location is great but the place itself and the other guests... Not so much.

We had two rooms. One had a jaccuzi that did not work. The motel is a little old but has been renewed. The showers had a lot of water pressure and were great.

The hotel itself made us feel like we were in a ghetto, even thogh the neighbourhood was fine. It was old, run down and even though it was "downtown" you couldn't walk to any of the restaurants.

it was not clean an before the window it have had many rabish, old things from the bed....and so wane. on the floor it had a nail from a other person....and behind the bed old pommes chips....i look becouse it was something tombeling down....

Hotel clean, little run down. Staff very professional and courteous.

This hotel was ok for the time I spent in the room and the price. It an old property. It located in the middle of a residential area. The neighborhood seems to be a safe area. Breakfast consist of donut, bagels and coffee in the very small office. The staff was great and helpful. I would recommend this hotel only for an overnight stay.

Very older place. Staff and management was nice...booked for two nights but canceled the second night. Found much nicer and newer for a few bucks more. Bed was supposed to be a King but 2 doubles front desk said no kings available.

How this hotel ever got above a 2 rating I'll never know. It is moderately clean, but that's about the nicest thing you can say. The "no smoking" room smelled like an ashtray, enough to make my nostrils burn all night. Several guests spent their time smoking outside their room which we often had to pass by. The room was poorly maintained. The air conditioner didn't work well; the room stayed stuffy, and it smelled. At least it was noisy enough to drown out the other guests. The breakfast "area" is a farce, it's standing room only and sub-minimal food and drinks. Check in was slow despite the hotels.com reservation ("printer problems"). This hotel the worst we've stayed at in years.

This Econo Lodge was a good bargain. We had tickets to a show at the Fine Art Center, which was only two blocks away. The neighbor felt safe. You are at the north end of downtown, a convenient location if you don't mind walking a bit. The hotel offers maps of the immediate and surrounding areas. The only disappointment was the continental breakfast, which consisted entirely of cheap donuts and English muffins.

Poorly maintained. Needs much repair and updating. Air conditioner very noisy and located next to bedhead.

The hotel is convenient to downtown shops and restaurants. The surrounding neighborhood is clean and pleasant. The condition of the hotel is a little run down and there are maintenance issues. It is probably okay for a place to sleep while on a short business trip, but probably less than desirable for a weekend getaway or any kind of extended stay.

positiv: günstige Lage in angenehmer Umgebung enttäuschend: Teppichboden sehr schmutzig ( viele große Flecken und loser Schmutz ) Fliegengitter am Fenster zerrissen, Klimaanlage riecht sehr unangenehm, Eingangstür klemmt - geht nur mit Fußtritt auf !
