great room with view of harbor and the cruise ships. on change i would request is improve your foam pillows

Rooms have no been up dated for many years. Everything is working but quite old. Charge your for everything: internet, breakfast, keeping luggage ect

Renovated hotel in the center of Miami, next to Bayside and the American Airlines Arena, as well as the concert hall. The hotel is super clean, the room was beautiful and impeccable, with a terrific view of downtown and the bay. The bathroom was clean and big, with a shower and a bathtub and lots of towels. My only caveats are that even on the 17th floor I could hear the music playing outside and the expensive restaurant. There is a Starbucks on-site, so buying something there is cheaper or in any of the many restaurants and shops outside. Valet parking was $38/day with in/out privileges.

The hotel is ok but it seems that the stuff are not, they have charged my credit card twice and I figured this out after I was reviewing my Visa card bill at home. Watch out when dealing with them. When i spoke to the manger he sounded as if nothing happend and as if its a normal mistake? I only liked the bathroom and the cleanness of the hotel. The pool and the location is nothing special.

The receptionist gave us the wrong key in the beginning. It was embarassing that some one opened the door when we tried to figure out why the key wouldn't work. We had four people staying in the double bed room. The beds are full size. Very uncomfortable for 4 ppl. I believe given the price, the quality of this hotel is awful.

Wonderful experience. Room was gorgeus, service impecable, room view amazing. Highly recommended!!

We were only there one night. What we found exceptional was the concierage service. We were sent to Trulucks restaurant where we rec'd a complimentary crab cake appetizer. The comfort of the bed was second to none!!! thanks

Stayed at the InterContinental the night before a cruise. My room overlooked the bay, part of the nearby park, and the Port of Miami. The room was large, with an armchair just right for curling up with my Kindle. The vanity/changing area was generously sized, and I loved the showerhead-on-the-telescoping arm in the bathroom--very easy to adjust. (I'm 4'10" tall; it's not often I can adjust a showerhead so that it's just right.) I ate dinner at the hotel restaurant, and it was a bit pricey, but no worse than resort prices elsewhere. There's also a Starbucks in the hotel, which is where I grabbed my breakfast. Service was attentive without being pushy. I'm glad I had the chance to stay at the InterContinental.

Checked in after a long day of travelling. Poorly managed front desk, lots of chaos and clerks gazing blankly into computer screens. My room type, pre paid a month ago, wasn't available due to mismanagement of the room assignments. Told I would have to take a different room with no appologies or attempts to accommodate the error on their part. View was nice if a bit industrial. The heat in the room didn't work. Fan churned out cold air even when thermostat was set to 90. Was here to attend a convention and probably the biggest thing was the food was awful. Tasteless, sparce, under cooked meats, over cooked vegetables. Service was average and every time I asked for Decaffeinated coffee the server said what he had was "decaf". Good thing this is a choice rather than a medical neccessity, because I could tell it wasn't "decaf" Over all for the money this palce charges I would hope for better. Certainly in an economy the way it is today. Indifference and poor quality won't win you many repeat customers. Next time I'm in Miami I know I'll look elsewhere. On a side note a friend in my party had a drunk hotel guest come through the ajoining room door at 5 a.m. into his room. Security assured him that "those doors are kept locked" I checked mine and it wasn't. Nice wake up call...

Even though the Hotel was beautiful, our room key cards didn't work. We requested 4 different times to get it corrected and was assured it was; however, they didn't get them working until the 4th attempt. So every time we left the room, we couldn't get back in without a hassle. For the price of this hotel, that was unacceptable.

I booked this one with hotel with Hotels.com credits ! Really enjoyed it ! Top notch hotel and staff. There is a park right outside the front door and a pleasant walk to the Bayside area with lots of shopping and great food. Very nice !

The greatest strength of this hotel is the location - right next to the bay, next to Bayfront Park, within walking distance to the condos in Brickell and Bayside Marketplace, right in the middle of downtown. I had a friend coming to town to see Miami, and I think I gave her the best impression of Miami by having her stay at this hotel, giving her the best starting point from which to explore the city. I don't usually stay at expensive hotels, so I could go on about the costs. I shouldn't have bought breakfast at the hotel, because I could have bought a much better meal with the money I spent just buying orange juice, milk, and Raisin bran cereal - continental breakfast isn't free, and I feel I was price gouged with what I was charged, but then many rich people probably don't mind. Parking is only through Valet and expensive, but is probably reasonable compared to the other garages around downtown. Wifi Internet is not free. For such an expensive hotel, I would have thought they would not have overlooked the details. I'm being nitpicky, but the air conditioning wasn't easily adjustable, the cable channels were limited, and there were chips and dents on the bottom of the bathtub. One interesting oddity was a clothing line right in the middle of the bathtub, which is retractable and you can extend it across the length of the tub. I wonder who would use such a thing, especially for a hotel built for high income people. Overall, the price reflects the location and setting, and not much else.

Older hotel that has been given a facelift. AC hard to control. Toilet did not work. Called down and they sent someone who didn't want to be bothered. After he left, it still didn't work. Spoke to front desk and they didnt seem too concerned about my inconvenience all night. The best part of this hotel is the location and view from the top. This hotel has a water taxi stop which is great to hop on to look around and get a bite to eat.

My friends and I stayed here 2 days prior to going on a Royal Caribbean cruise. the hotel was very clean and the employes were very nice. We did not have to use any of their services so I cannot make a comment at this time! the hotel was in walking distance to the Bayside Mall. We spent the nights there.....good food and entertainment for all!

lovely absolutely lovely, the only thing was the pool bar and pool closed very early and the chairs were all put away. Valet parking was pretty much a must as the street parking would have cost almost as much.

The Front desk staff was not happy (Ohh NO another customer feeling) they did not look me in my eyes It was kind of: where are we going to put this family, I booked a Ocean view ahead. And I had to make sure that they new what they where doing. The staff only talked with each other and not to me???. The room was very clean. No I wouldn't recommend this Hotel.

The location and amenities were great. Walking distance to Bayside Marketplace where there is shopping, entertainment and restaurants. The restaurant at the hotel itself was very pricey and so were the drink prices at the pool bar. But the tradeoff for location and worth it. I would stay there again.

Amazing hotel, service, and location!! Loved our short time there and will definitely be returning to Miami and to the Intercontinental!

A high end hotel in a high end location. Had a pre cruise stay and it set the tone really well. Very safe, clean and comfortable.Excellent food in the dining room.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are beautiful but be prepared for extra charges. Aside from the room itself you're going to find yourself paying for a lot of "extras"...from the valet parking to the tips to the nice but expensive breakfast buffet. Also somewhat baffling is the lack of vending machines, so if you want to get a bottle of water at night you're going to end up paying $6 for a bottle from the room fridge. I'd stay there again but next time I'd be bringing beverages with and dining at nearby restaurants.

Good location and nice public areas. Rooms are dated and not comparable to the newer competition. Hot Tub Time Machine transports you back to the 80s.

All we expected and more!

The hotel is impressive from your first view. The triangle shape is eye catching and unique. The lobby is large and dramatic. The entire staff is eager to please and very friendly. It is worth it to go the extra dollar to get a view room and the amenities are top notch. The restaurant on site is very expensive and not too busy (I wonder why$$$)but the food and service or good. Its close to an interesting place called Bayside which offers all kinds of shops and restaurants plus live music ever night outdoors. It is a wild place and lots of fun but loud. But since it is so close to the hotel it is a great spot to go hang out. We look forward to another night at this hotel on our next cruise.

My only problem with the hotel was that the room was warm.  It was difficult to regulate the temperature.  Otherwise, it was a very nice stay.....the view of South Beach and the sunrise, watching the cruise ships come in and out below, and the courteous service made it all worthwhile.

I live in the Miami area and my husband always wanted to go to this hotel so we checked the rates and it was aroung two hundred dollars so I waited another week and we booked it for one hundred for the price it was great and we got a harbor view on the 25th floor. I was amazing to see the bay and the downtown view. We saw the cruise ship turn around and leave then we decided to go to bayside which was only a block away from the hotel we walked on the strip in the back of the hotel and walked right into Bayside and we ate the came back to our room by then it was dark and we got to see Miami in nite life. When we woke up we saw the sunrise and when we looked out the window again a ship was returning. It was beautiful my husband was speechless!!!!!!

O hotel fica próximo a AA Arena e ao shopping Bayside e tem uma linda vista da baía.

Absolutamente fantástica. La atención es cálida, bien dispuesta, la comida y el bar espectaculares. La relación costo beneficio, me pareció adecuada para el nivel del hotel

La calidad en la atención, en el alojamiento y los servicios son de primera clase. Muy recomendado.

O hotel é muito bom, está muito bem localizado. Passei a virada do ano hospedada no mesmo e a queima de fogos acontece exatamente ao lado do hotel. Vista privilegiada. O quarto possui um frigobar que possui um sistema eletrônico integrado e, a cada item retirado o mesmo é imediatamente depositado na conta. Para os curiosos em saber quais são os itens disponíveis, um prato cheio para ver a conta do hotel engoradar a cada item retirado simplesmente para olhar o que é ofertado.... Deveria ter um aviso para os hóspedes no próprio site de reservas para alertá-los. É possível utilizar o frigobar com itens do próprio hóspede desde que se pague uma taxa para o hotel esvaziar e disponibilizar o mesmo para uso. O site de reservas poderia apresentar essas informações.

Acredito que um hotel deste nível não deveria se prender em cobrar a mais dos clientes para estacionar e para usar a internet. Tudo bem se usarmos o manobrista,agora por uma vaga no estacionamento uma vez que somos hóspedes???? A internet então,sem comentários chega a ser mesquinharia e falta de delicadeza.

Das Hotel liegt ganz in der Neahe zum Kreuzfahrthafen. Fruehstueck besser in einem Cafe in der 1st street , gleich neben Hetz rent a car( ist davor) einnehmen. Hier schmeckt der Kaffee super und alles ist in einem guten Preisleistungsverhaeltnis. Wir konnten am Sonntagmorgen draussen sitzen :)) Der Starbucks ist an der naechsten Kreuzung und viel groesser als im Hotel. Also den Consierge fragen.

A limpeza do quarto, ficou muito a desejar! Só arrumavão e davão uma geral no banheiro, o quarto cheio de pueira e ninguém limpava. O carpete, não via um aspirador a muito tempo!

Ein etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel im 80er-Jahre-Style, das seine besten Zeiten hinter sich hat. Das Zimmer und das Bad waren sehr groß, wir hatten einen sensationellen Blick auf den Hafen. Das Mobiliar im Zimmer war jedoch etwas abgewetzt, was in dieser Preisklassse nicht sein dürfte. Völlig unzeitgemäß: für Internetzugang über Wi-Fi wäre eine zusätzliche Gebühr von knapp $ 12 fällig geworden. Wir haben eine Rundreise durch Florida gemacht - in allen anderen Hotels (auch in den deutlich günstigeren) war kostenloses Wi-Fi selbstverständlich. Auch der Zugang zum Fitnessraum hätte eine zusätzliche Gebühr von $ 15 gekostet, was wir so vorher noch nicht erlebt hatten. Für das Valetparking (Self-parking wurde nicht angeboten) werden $ 36 pro Nacht zusätzlich fällig, was wir ebenfalls teuer fanden, für Miami wohl aber im Rahmen liegt. Insgesamt aus meiner Sicht kein ausgewogenes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, weshalb ich das Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen kann.

la VERDAD UN HOTEL MUY BONITO POR FUERA, PERO ENTRA UNO Y LA HABITACION ES TOTALMENTE FEA MAL DECORADA, LA VERDAD NO ME VOLVERIA A QUE DAR EN ESE HOTEL, LA UBICACION ES PERFECTA, PERO LA VERDAD NO ME GUSTARON LAS HABITACIONES, MUY MAL DECORADAS GRANDES PERO SIN GRACIA

Excelente , muito confortavel , otima localização ,com tarifas justas e uma bela vista .

O Hotel é bom , mas minha preferência é o Intercontinental At doral a 5 min do Dolphin Mall, mais próximo do Aventura. mais aconchegante e o serviço/funcionários são mais simpáticos.
