If you like great big "mass" hotels, then the Marriott Copley place is the place to be. Even with 9 elevators we sometimes had to wait a long time for one to arrive. The bed sheets had holes in them, two pillowcases were dirty. We had booked a room with a kingsize bed and a double bed (we were 3 people) and that is what it said on the reservation. The Marriott Copley Place does not have rooms with kingsize beds. Everywhere you would want to sit to have a drink there were at least 3 tv´s on. Would I stay there again? Definitly NO.

Bathroom in our room was dirty when we checked in, they left the shower with hair in it and it was pretty upsetting. Also no parking for the Hotel, had to park on the public parking that cost me 38.00 for six hours.

Excellent hotel and I would recommend it. My family and I had a problem with the staff entering our room after we checked-in in. I straightened it out, however, with the manager, who was courteous and responsive to the situation. The hotel has an excellent exercise room and pool. The second floor restaurant is overpriced and the food is just average.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! Comfortable beds, huge TV, indoor swimming until 11pm was very convenient, hot tub and fitness center made relaxation a joy. Also an indoor sky-walk to a supermarket and the Premier plaza/mall in town makes for a terrific hotel experience! (Oh, and did I mention that a California Pizza Kitchen restaurant is located in the mall and will deliver to your room at no charge.) Plus guests have the whole city of Boston at their front door, literally everything is a stone's throw away, in the winter I recommend taking a cab to your destinations, which are waiting for your call right at the entrance of the hotel. Together this all made for an excellent hotel experience even if for a single night stay as in my case New Year's Eve. (Which I booked just the night before at the last minute, and still got a great room at a great rate. On the stroke of midnight I was beyond thrilled for my choice of stay. I hope your stay will be as pleasurable as mine was.

Great location. In the heart of Boston and within walking distance to everything. Nice staff. I will absolutely be returning there.

Service was good. Breakfast area was best we've had . Hotel layout was very well organized and easy to access. People very curtious. Eas access to WYFI Heating system was weak -had to call maintenance to fix. Bed mattress was inferior-lumpy-back aches. Better mattresses at Holoiday Inn Brookline.Would be good to let people know that there is a full size grocery store across street. We needed a few items.

I am not into busy hotels shopping mall, Sports bar etc. OK for some, not me, not my scene.My mistake.

we stayed in the hotel for 8 nights with my husband and daughter and we had an excellent time. everything about the hotel is great. room service excellent. also the staff excellent .very polite.the hotel location gave us access to all things we wanted to visited , shopping etx. i going back to boston next year. definetely i will book to the same hotel.

We chose this hotel only because we were meeting someone who was there for a conference. It was not worth the $$$ for even the one night. I asked where the ice machine was to keep juice cold for a 7-yr-old-- no ice unless you call room service, and that is not worth the expense. The AC was not on in our room, so it smelled musty for the first 2 hours there-- our salvation was having to leave for dinner. There were several people in line @ the desk on arrival-- the clerk just said, "Next!" as though we had a # @ the bakery. I was surprised that wireless service was only available in the lobby and common areas outside the bar and restaurants. People there for an engineering conference need quiet, not public space. I'm sure this was not known when the hotel was booked for the majority of the attendees. I have stayed at two other hotels in the immediate area, and will go back there the next time in Boston, rather than the Marriott Copley Place.

Very nice hotel convienent to some very good restaurants and shops. Nice walk to Fenway. Parking is a little steep $45/day but it's Boston.

So disappointed! I booked a concierge-level room because we were celebrating my husband's birthday (and I indicated that on the reservation). They stuck us in a very standard room, not on one of the concierge floors. When I politely went back down to the front desk to say that I'd booked concierge and clearly wasn't placed there, they said -- oh, if you just give us your key card we can give you access to the concierge lounge, and here's your card for your complimentary breakfast. Apparently if I hadn't said anything I wouldn't even have gotten that much, but point is we were NOT on a concierge floor, we did NOT have a concierge-level room (nor all the advertised amenities that go with it) and they wouldn't correct the situation even when I brought it to their attention. Additionally, no matter what we set the A/C on the room did not cool adequately -- it was brutally hot overnight. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location.

We had two rooms reserved for our family vacation on the concierge floor. Could not have asked for a better stay. The rooms were spotless and the service was terrific. The concierge lounge is a great plus our teenage children really enjoyed the the evening snacks. Another huge plus was the pool and gym. it was a godsend on a rainy day.

This is a very nice, but slightly dated hotel in a terrific location. Most things in Boston are within walking distance, but this situates travellers right in the heart of it all. One block to the Theater District, 100 meters to Boston Common and Boston Public Gardens and right on the "T". You couldn't ask for more very good Restaurants to be any closer. Check out the $1 oysters at the "Pairings" Hotel Bar, or the reduced price menu at McCormick and Schmicks (after 11 pm). Legal Seafoods is right across the street! Staff are very helpful and informative.

When I am in Boston to see the Red Sox, I normally stay at a cheaper hotel down the street from the Marriott which while fine for an overnight stay leaves a lot to be desired from a cleanliness and condition perspective. However, this year the other hotel was booked so we stayed at the Marriott for about $40 a night more. It was worth every penny five times over. While the price of the Marriott was well below the other high end hotels in the Copley area, the service and condition were just as good as any hotel I have ever used. If you are looking for e really nice, safe, clean place to stay without breaking the bank - - this is it. It is the only place I will be staying in Boston in the future. Convenient to everything and easy parking.

The issues to prepaid rooms not booked by Marriott was on checking in and the significant delay when we utilized the free breakfast. Although the food and service was excellent, it took forever to confirm the free breakfast to the front desk before leaving the restaurant. They gave out nothing at check-in to indicate the breakfast was free. I missed getting to the Duck tour on time with that delay, even though it was across the street for convenience. Service was great, but the cost on the room differential when your treated differently was problematic. As an additional note, the parking valet is a good idea if you move the car. The garage that is attached is scaled up to 30.00 for as little as three hours or more, and 34.00 a day, the valet is 44.00 and you can come and go as ofter as you wish. It was quick, and with a party of eight, the moving around made this parking actually more practical.

I know we were in Boston, however Breakfast Buffet was over forty bucks. common...lol For management only... Had a great time AGAIN..... thanks chris

The only good thing about staying at this hotel was the location for the sightseeing trolley, otherwise it was way, way overrated. Beds are not comfortable, lumpy...just a standard hotel nothing special!

a great buy! excellent hotel with an excelent location!

It was an incredible location and a very very very nice hotel. Loved my stay there!

Convenient easy to get to location. The only glitch is if you drive into garage yourself there is no lcearly marked directions to hotel registration. Other than that, quck easy check-in, good sized room, able to walk anywhere. I would definitely recommend!

This hotel was in a prime location. The mall was connected to two malls with great shopping. The hotel stay included breakfast with an awesome buffet. Nice bar and eating area with large screens to watch sports. I would definitely come again!

Hotel was great, but price for parking is obnoxious!

In general I had a good stay here. The big plus was the bed was magnificently comfortable and the view was breathtaking. My 8 yr old daughter even said if she had a bed just like this one she will voluntarily go to bed at her bedtime. :-) The hotel is in an extremely convenient location. Close to train and shopping area and a good restaurants. The bummer was we had to pay for parking each day we were there which ran about $35/day. Secondly I wish the room could have had a bit extra square footage if there are more than 2 peeople in your room it could feel a bit crowded. Also I asked for a crib and was told it would be up shortly and received a pack and play which is the only thing they had. I did not like this so after our first night I changed rooms with a room with 2 beds and let baby sleep with me. Lastly breakfast was included in my room rate and the matron D at the restaurant sucked since he acted as though I was lying. I told him such he called front desk and said that its not included then I went to confirm that it was included and was told to let him call them if there still was a problem and again he had me wait until he physically went to the front desk to speak with one of the attendants there. Barring that one fool everyone else was nice enough. I will still there again.

I was very disapointed from the minute that I arrived with the service in general. The staff at arrival with the luggage was not friendly. The indifference at the desk whiles check in.. In gennral I felt I was a number and nothing else, no friendliness,no smile,push push push At departure again the reception was very indifferent,I just wanted a bill ,I wonder why I did asked!! do you need one asked the receptionnist whiles I went to get my luggages it was almost to much to ask the concierge to bring the suitcases in the car. The look that I got from him was unpleasant,untill I gave him a tip.I regret that I did it,because he did not deserve a cent....!! My comment is the general reception has a lot of work to do to make the client feel at ease. Very unpleasant to wait that the satff stop talking wiih each other,and then turns to ask you what you want. I always believe that the client comes first That was not my feeling that time

Overall, I really liked this hotel, but there was a strong odor of cleaning or smoke abatement products in my room. I kept thinking it would diminish over time, but it didn't. I was only in the room to sleep and so did not ask to be moved.

I spent two nights, and I enjoyed my time there. The location is excellent, as well.

Great central location and in the heart of Boston's shopping district. Newberry Street's shopping and cafes are only a couple of blocks away, as is the awesome Public Library (a must see if you love amazing architecture and art). You can walk indoors to all the shopping at Prudential Center and the indoor shopping center next door. Very convenient to catch the "T" and the Duckboat tours start across the street. Lots of restaurants nearby, too. The hotel is very busy, with lots of people coming and going; probably not a good choice if you want a more quiet, environment. The fitness center is open 24 hours; it's very large with great equipment, but also busy at prime workout times. My room was on the 19th floor and had great views; the rest of our group had rooms on the 9th and 10th floors, but didn't have much of a view. The bed was very comrfortable (yay!), and the desk was great for working on my laptop. The speakerphone on the desk was very handy for a conference call I had, too. The biggest disappointment was the price. Although it was a great place to stay, I was surprised how expensive it was.... I guess that's the price for staying in the heart of Boston or maybe they were taking advantage of the fact that a lot of folks were in town for conferences and college graduations. It did have a small refrigerator, which was nice. Would have loved a microwave, especially since there is a great Shaw's supermarket across the street.

Perfect location, hotel comfort was great. We had 3 bad areas. When we first enter our room after about 10 minutes someone knock on our door then enter Literary 10 seconds later, not giving us chance to open the door. I asked her whyshe just came in she replied no one answered the door. I explained to her you need to give your hotle guest time to walk to the door. Our room came with a coffe machine with no coffee pot. When I called the front desk someone had dropped off a pot, however, wrong size. Our tolite would not stop running. Other than these 3 itmes we loved this hotel and we alwasy try to stay at a Marriott when we travel.

Nice hotel, very helpful and accomodating hotel staff!

Room, service and location were all great. But having to pay for internet service was a big negative.

Nice hotel, friendly, efficient staff. The beds were absolutely comfortable with lots of pillows and blankets. The only thing I would have liked better was a more luxurious bathroom (it was small and serviceable). A short walk to Berklee College made it a perfect location for us. I will definitely stay there again.

Two friends and I rented a room at the Marriot Copley Place for New Year's, and it was an experience we plan on having again! First off, the hotel was very convenients to everywhere we needed to be. It was a short walk from the T station (we took the Worcester lin commuter rail in to the city). The Prudential center mall is literally across the street, and it was short walk to Copley plaza, the Commons, and downtown for all the festivities! It was even close enough to pop in and use the bathrooms during the celebration. The service was fast, efficient, and very pleasant. The hotel is a very nice place to walk into, and my friends and I (all 20 somethings who wear a uniform os jeans and college hoodies) were a little concerned we'dbe treated differently because we didn't look as 'up-scale' as other guests. However, this was not the case. The staff were curteous and polite, and treated us just the same as the couple wearing armani in line behind us! The Marriot is not the kind of place I usually stay, as it is a bit more expensive than I can usually afford. However, since it was for a special occasion, and we were splitting the costs, it was a great value for the price. I definately recommend spending the extra for the atmosphere. Besides, we were plied with free bottles of water and chocolate chip cookies while waiting in line for check-in! I regret that we did not get to try any oft he restaraunts in the hotel- the food smelt amazing, and the sites themselves looked great. I would especially have liked to try out the all-American bar, but due to the holiday, it was packed! I guess that says something for the food and service, though. Definately, a hotel I would recommend, and one I will surely be visiting again as soon as I can find an excuse!
