Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile - شيكاغو

I've stayed in Marriotts all over the US plus Canada. And this is the only one with decent food. And not only decent—excellent. It's an older property (small rooms, low ceilings)—so is everything else on the Magnificent Mile—but clean & well maintained. The staff was surprisingly friendly. I had an early flight and showed up at 9am expecting to stick my luggage in a storage room, but my room was ready due to some early checkouts. I thing I hate Hate HATE about all Marriotts is how they nickel & dime you over parking & internet. Self park is $25/day here (if you enjoy hiking in a heat wave), valet $45. Thank God I didn't need a car on this trip! And Marriott charges for wired (not wireless) internet. I mean, McDonald's & coffee shops have free wifi.

Nice location, clean, noisy and busy lobby. Staff was nice and there is alot to do within walking distance.

the rooms are very spartan

little trouble finding the valet, which is NOT located on Michigan St. Stayed there with my 3 kids. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. GREAT location on Michigan. Only a $5 or so cab ride to Water Tower or Rainforest Cafe. Would definitely stay here again. Oh, and the pool was pretty warm considering most hotels leave their pools ice cold. This one was warm and started at 3 feet (with steps slowly leading in); perfect for my 3 year old!

Was there for birthday party of 16 adults and had a good time..very professional service..nice job..

Excellant location, wonderful and courteous staff. Stayed 3 nights after a trip to Europe enjoyed Continental Breakfast and a couple of Cub games.This is my new hotel of choice when visiting Chicago. I travel here 2-3 times a year and will make my reservations with the Marriott.

Room was tiny. No fridge. No exhaust fan in bathroom. Tap water is undrinkable and bottled water in room is most expensive I've ever seen (grab some at the 7-11 a block away). Room was too warm and thermostat settings were limited. No wireless internet. Wired internet can only be used by one laptop unless you pay twice for a second. Construction projects in stairwell three rooms down woke me up both mornings that I stayed.

The beds were very comfortable, however, after staying there for three days, not being able to use the hot tub because it was not working was a little upsetting. We paid a lot of money to stay there. My feet were sore from all of the walking and I was really looking forward to the hot tub!

NEVER in my life have I been treated so poorly at any hotel as I was this past weekend. I have stayed at this location about 4-5 times. To be honest the last 3 times have only progessively gotten worse!! This is not by any means an exaggeration or an attempt for a free weekend stay! I want nothing of the sort!! I will just give this weekends example for the uncopperative and ridiculous treatment we received. My friend and I came Saturday afternoon. Granted it was checkout time and we knew this, however, when we pullled into the valet/parking circle not ONE person came up to help us!! For example, the driver had to get out of the car and walk up to the 5 men standing there to get our car valeted as the cars and cabs are honking behind us!!! (We had no where to move so out of our control) Secondly, we took our own luggage and baggage in with 3 baggage carts sitting there empty with not ONE person to offer taking our things! After that 10 minute fiasco I went to check us in. The woman that took care of us was fantastic and I wish I had her name to give her credit. Regardless, the only other nice thing I have to say about this location Marriott is the room, service was great as well. The soda/water maching was broken and had to call and ask for bottles of water to be sent up, (the woman on the phone hung up on me and my friend when she called back to inform her that we did not want to pay for the water) along with the extra towels we had asked for twice on two seperate occassions and never received!! Lastly, was at checkout,. again the woman at checkout was fantastic!!However, when we went to give our ticket for our car, not only did the woman at the checkin for cars ROLL HER EYES, we asked so do we wait here ro can we go get coffee depending on time? That woman had the gaul to say,"Do what you want, should only take ten minutes.". Really??!! Is this the treatment I need!??? Considering we left 2 hours before checkout as it was?? Never in my life I have been treated SO

Close to great shopping & restaurants! Kids enjoyed indoor swimming. It rained non-stop while there & they even offered us hotel umbrellas to borrow while we walked around.

This hotel was great! The price was really reasonable, especially for being right on Michigan Ave. We could walk every where! The gym is GORGEOUS with tons of equipment. My only negative comment is that there is only wi-fi in the Lobby. You can't get any signals in the rooms.

The room was a little pricey for the size but it was a great hotel to stay at. First when we got in from the train we were met at the front door and asked how our trip was? I was very tired as we got up at 0400 hrs to board the train. When we arrived we were there around 1100 am. The hotel manager got us to our right away with no waiting. When we were leaving out train didn't depart from Chicago til 845 pm. The Manager Melissa let us stay and do a late checkout at 600 pm with no additional charge. I have already told everyone at work about this hotel and the great service we recieved. When we go back to Chicago I will stay at this hotel again. Thanks for the great stay

From valet to check out was superb. The location on magnificent mile was ideal. I would not hestiate to stay at the Marriott Downtown again.

My room smelled horrid and they were sold out so I was unable to move. There is no wireless service in lobby or convention area. Prices way to high for a run down hotel.

I had booked the hotel for the Chicago marathon and this was very very conviniently located a mile away from the start line. Also, the hotel itself was great, their room service was excellent and the staff at the front desk was very helpful too. The food in the hotel itself is pretty expensive and not that good but there are a lot of restaurants at a walking distance from the hotel! Highly recommended!

good location for downtown activities being right on michigan avenue. plenty of nearby restaurants with varied types of foods. small bathroom. well equiped exercise facility. don't valet park -too expensive and several garages nearby.

Great Hotel!!!

Great 3 night stay for family get away. Great location, clean room, would stay here again.

Muy bien el hotel, excelente ubicación.muy caros los desayunos pero lo demás muy bien. Volvería a quedarme ahí!!!

今回はビジネスでの滞在でした。冷蔵庫がなく、部屋の清掃も不十分に感じました。また、コンセルジュの対応も日本人に対して丁寧とは言えませんでした。ロビーや客室も含めて広いとは言えません。プールもありましたが雰囲気も暗く、ちょっと泳ぐ気にはなりませんでした。当たり前かもしれませんが、ビジネスの場合はハイアットやヒルトンの方が適していると思います。 ただ、観光には立地、アクセスともに便利な場所です。南北どちらにもアクセスしやすく、大きなデパートも近いので買い物にも便利です。
