Great time spending 3 days with our two kids (13 and 11) at the Rancho Las Palmas Resort. Generous room, beautiful out onto the golf resort. Highlight was the lazy river and pool area. Excellent outdoor restaurant for breakfast and dinner. We will definitely be back. This is Palm Springs area at its best.

1 - only 1 attendant at front desk on arrival - line 5 people long to check in 2 - no roll away bed available even though hotel booked for 5 people with 2 double beds 3 - breakfast frustrating with many tables available and unoccupied but still a 30 min wait, they were unwilling to allow us to get our food to go 4 - staff was kind and courteous, just not well organized

Nice hotel and room, but too expensive for what you get.

Our young kids loved the pool amenities and we loved the beautiful grounds, high quality service and cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. It is a great family hotel, yet still maintains the class and elegance of an upscale resort. The location is perfect as it is within walking distance to The River as well as a great playground at Whitewater Park. A very short drive to El Paseo as well. Will definitely stay again!

I really have nothing bad to say about this hotel. The grounds are beautiful, I loved the pools, and the rooms are comfortable. The kiddie pool zone splashtopia has a lazy river even adults think is fun, but the adult only serenity pool is a welcome division. All of the food I tried on site was fantastic. My only advice is to stay on an upper floor room instead of a lower one, less noisy. But for a resort filled with families most of the kids were really well behaved as they were expending all of their energy at splashtopia, not running around the grounds wild. The music and fire pit outside the main restaurant and lobby is very pleasant each night, and the poolside cocktails were tasty. Its a great location, you can walk across to the upscale shopping plaza across the street for different food for entertainment choices. Everything else you'd want to do in the area is only a few minutes away. The only thing wrong with my stay was it wasn't longer.

Beautiful grounds and nicely appointed hotel rooms and beds. Parking is convenient to the rooms and although it feels huge all ammenities are within a short walk. The price for food however is excessive. Breakfast for 4 was $76.00 which was only 1) eggs, 2) bagel, 3) yogurt and 4) cereal and a $4 cup of coffee. Lunch for 2 (small nacho plate and 2 shrimp tacos = $32.00. ) There are plenty of dining options that are within 15 minutes or less including some across the street.

I would definitely go back!!! i took my niece and nephew and they had a ball. hotel staff was so nice and friendly. pool was heated. food was great. room service was quick.

Really lovely time at a very comfortable property. Every staff person was wonderful.

We stayed at the Rancho las Palmas mid-March to attend the Indian Wells Tennis Tournament. The room, service, pool areas were outstanding. A breakfast buffet was included in our daily room charge and it was more than adequate. Each night they had a fire going outdoors and a singing group that made it wonderful to sit by the fire and listen. The water park area would be great for kids.

Great place to stay for the tennis open...will definitely be back.

The hotel is a great place to stay especially of you have kids. The only problem we had was that the rooms are very loud if you staying in a room by the kids pool and Splashtopia. We had to ask the them to change our room to another location on the property that faced the golf course. That was much nicer and a lot quieter. I also liked the bedding. Very nice, new and cozy. The restaurant Blu Ember was great. Kind of expensive but that's what happens when you stay at a nice resort.

The resort was lovely. The staff was awsome.

Spent 3 nites with 5 grandchildren ages 5-9. Wonderful facilities, quiet rooms, great pools, slides etc., good food. Close to other attractions!

This was the first time our daughter (15mos) had been in a pool. She had a blast and so did we. We'll definitely return. For the price of the room, I expect a little bit more. For instance, some of the property is rundown and needs an upgrade. Plus, the really need microwave ovens in the room to heat up food for kids. It's not that close to a grocery store (Ralphs or Vons), so be prepared for a 10 minute drive to find groceries. Otherwise, nice place to stay.

Rancho Las Palmas is in a beautiful setting! You feel like you're in the Mediterranean...but in the desert!! Mature landscaping, water features, very comfortable social areas and great pools for adults and children. There is a mall and movie theater across the street for more shopping, eating and entertainment. You will find the resort rooms just lovely! The main restaurant has great food and great service. I would absolutely stay there again!

Very pretty grounds good location. Rooms not that clean especially bathrooms. Bugs clawing around sink. Should be remodeled. Spa use NOT INCLUDED. For how much is charged which includes an additional resort fee spa use should be included !

The room was large, as was the bathroom. New 46" flat screen TV, tremendous view of one of the greens on the golf course, and great parking.

Rooms are stale. Beds comfortable. Just dated and furniture chipped. Front desk not the smartest. Especially for a empty weekend. Tried to look so busy

This is definitely a family place. If you want peace and quiet the only place you will find it is on the golf course or in the spa. Everything else is crawling with kids. The adults only pool is so close to the kids pool you hear nothing but screaming the whole time. I'm used to staying in some pretty nice hotels but Breakfast for 2, just 1 order of eggs and 1 oatmeal with toast and coffee was over $79.00. They have a delivery fee and a service fee. Skip the room service. Also a $25.00 resort fee even if you do not plan to use the facilities. The rooms are nice, the grounds are beautiful.

My wife and I stayedhere over Christmas for a short getaway. the resort was beautiful and had everything you could ask for. The only complaint was a few minor crumbles on the sofa left by previous guests. I was an amazing resort with lots to offer the only thing that I would stay is that it is much more family friendly. If you have kids then this is the place to go, if you want a romantic weekend this might not be the place for you.

We used our Hotels.com rewards to stay at Las Palmas- and still have to pay lots more per night plus a "resort fee" & tax daily fee. We stayed for three days but it was not worth what was charged for the room. The lazy river and slides were closed down, one of the reasons I had chosen the hotel. Even though the weather was cool the pool was heated- and there was a hot tub. However, our room was so far away from both that it would be best to drive over to the pool (try to find a parking place) and coming back all wet- just wouldn't work. So we never used the pools. Hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas- Restaurant way too pricey even for a resort. Would not stay here again. There are lots of nicer hotels/resorts in Rancho Mirage area that are more reasonable and accommodating. We were locked out of our rooms three times and had to have new entry keys made- that also was a waste of time getting that taken care of.

The hotel itself had a lot to offer ie, fire pits, blankets, heaters, making all quite comfy for cool desert evenings. The staff was friendly and for the most part, accomodating. They should do away with the old style pocket doors for the bathroom as there is no privacy with all the slats and they stick. I got my fingers caught, bigtime ouch!! The lazy river and slides were enjoyed by kids and adults alike, fun. The River across the street was quite convenient for dining options other than the pricey hotel dining.

We loved the location of this hotel. It is right across from The River, a lovely outdoor shopping and dining complex. However, the room acoustics were horrible. We had a ground level room which turned out to be an adjoining room, as I am sure most are. The doors for those adjoining rooms are paper thin so we listened to our neighbors' children's conversations until late at night. We figured, since it was a Saturday night, the neighbors would be leaving on Sunday and they did. Being a ground level room, we also were able to hear every step the guests above us made. The last night we were there, they decided to walk around all night long and we got no sleep. Do not order a ham and cheese sandwich by the pool. For the price, the quality was mini-mart deli at best. On the outside, this property is very nice. The inside definitely needs some fine tuning or updating.

We love the grounds of Rancho Las Palmas. It's a beautiful setting in a great location. If I had to identify a negative, I would say the rooms are a bit dated. The pocket door to the bathroom is a bit of a hassle opening and closing and the slats in the door do not allow for privacy. All in all, I would recommend.

Although I stayed here for business I would love to return for a weekend of rest and relaxation after looking at their spa menu. The grounds at this resort are beautiful and nearly identical to La Costa in Carlsbad, CA. I enjoyed dinner during my first night here at their restaurant and the patio outside looked like it would be a really fun place to have a drink with friends. The fire pits looks so cozy and welcoming. My only gripe (minor) was that after a long day of working an event I ordered in room service...soup and a salad...and it did not arrive until 45 minutes later. And this was was after I called to follow up on the order to make sure it wasn't lost and the kitchen wasn't closed. When my food arrived I was almost given the wrong item. If I hadn't verified my order I would have had the wrong entree.

Bring your kids you will love this hotel's pool

Great resort that caters for families of all ages. Splashtopia is lots of fun and newly renovated Blu Ember restaurant patio and bar is a great spot to enjoy great food and atmosphere. Don't need to leave the resort at all. Great family getaway.

The Hotel, Facilities and Employees are AMAZING! LOVED the Pools, Location and appreciated all the care that was given by the Staff. Will DEFINITELY be going back soon!! Miss you already!!

This hotel is great if you have small kids who want to play in the pool all day! We normally stay in Palm Springs, which has a bit more to do, but overall this was a great experience. The food in the restaurant was WONDERFUL--not hotel food at all! We especially loved the huevos rancheros in the small pub restaurant right off the lobby. The cocktails were yummy and everyone was very friendly. The movies on demand were pricey and with no DVD player in the room, we ended up spending about $50 on cartoons that we already own at home! If you don't have kids, I may skip this hotel, because it is expensive and geared towards families (although they also have a golf course and small mall across the street). Overall, a great hotel!

We were a little apprehensive when the guy at the front desk said there were about a million kids at the main pool/water slide. But it turned out not to be that big a deal. The separate "adults only" pool provided adequate refuge from the water slide frenzy. The service was great, the room was clean and cozy. We were traveling with a small dog and they brought a set of bowls and and dogie bed for her...very thoughtful.

For the prices, I expected a lot more from this hotel. Upon checking in, I was surprised of a $25/day fee for internet, gym, parking. The landscape was BROWN, which I do not understand when so many of the golf courses in Palm Springs are lush and green. The kids enjoyed the Splashtopia, but it is much smaller than the pictures make it look. The wait staff at the pool was non-existance. There were HUNDREDS of families at the pool with ONE waiter. Horrible service. Such a huge revenue stream that the hotel is not tapping into. The rooms were quite small for the price and walls were paper thin (could hear all the other kids in hotel crying or running, etc). The spa was nice and I would recommend the ammenities there, but is very overpriced. The breakfast buffet at BluEmber was fantastic and I would recommend it... but is pricey. Overall, not sure if we would come back based on the prices of the hotel. I was expecting more from a "LUXURY" resort.

Everything was exceptional and my boyfriend and I had a wonderful time. The one problem we had was that the family above us had 2l children that ran the length of their room for hours up until midnight. We finally called the front desk and they sent someone out to tell the family to be quiet. we had just rented a movie and it was worthless to watch it. It would be nice if the hotel would put families in one area and couples that would like "alone time" in another location.

I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews on hotels.com and yelp. During my entire stay, we had nothing but great service. The reservation desk was kind and willing to work with our two families so that we had adjoining rooms which made the stay that much better. The food and drinks are resort priced, but very tasty. My kids did not complain once. The nightly movie screening by the family pool was a great way to wind down the kids. I definitely recommend this place.

The pool and lazy river are a great place to spend the hot days of August.

We were so disappointed with the pool service. It took 40 minutes to get our drinks and that was after reminding the waiter...and $50 later all we got was I'm sorry....besides that everything was wonderful!

This place was great...kid friendly which we loved because we had 3 of our grandchildren with us. The service was great...everyone who worked there was very friendly. My complaints are...we reserved 2 rooms and I called ahead 2 times to make sure my daughter and my room were next to each other. They said they would & then when we got there we wern't and they could not accomadate us. Also our room was supposed to have refrig. and microwave...didn't. I called requesting one & they did bring us a refrig. which we greatly appreciated. My biggest complaint is when we got to hotel to check in we were told we had a $25 (plus tax) per day charge for parking,internet & use of gym. We explained we had not been told that ahead and that we felt that that was unfair. They just smiled and took our credit card. We felt the price of the rooms were reasonably but when you add the hidden charges on top we didn't feel the same. Ordered room service..2 pizza's and a caesar salad...our bill was $77!!! Very pricey menu!! They add a $3 delivery charge to bring it and then by the time you tip....yikes!!
