Marriott Portland Downtown Waterfront - بورتلاند

Noisy through wall air conditioner in the room. Turned it off and opened the windows. Taxi drivers loitering below the window talked all night, disturbing my sleep. $64 to park a car for two nights is ridiculous. Staff was friendly and the bar off the lobby is great for a late night snack. Great location across from the river.

Has a Starbucks inside! pretty cool that it transfers over to a bar! So I was getting my morning oatmeal and coffee on Cinco de Mayo at around 8am and some older ladies had just ordered a margarita! I realized after watching them being made that I wanted one so bad but I just ordered breakfast snacks/coffee~ LOL! The margarita was made with 2 fresh limes juiced ready for serving... The staff also were making some killer bloody mary's in the morning. For the hang out factor of SBuX & the bar!Pretty darn cool. Late night weekend pool visit had some creeper dudes staring at my friends but I'm not sure what the hotel could do about creepy pedofile looking clients that only know how to stare at ladies, really? Other cool factor was.... COMPLIMENTARY Massages! If I had to make suggestions on improvements: I'd say 2 bottles of water (complementary per day) & More shower body towels for 2 queens you should provide at least 4 body towels (plan for 4 people occupying 2 queens) w/ ladies you typically use one for your hair and one for your body... so if you have 4 ladies and provide 3 towels, something is seriously a miss there.

Title says it all. Great clean room great view comfy bed not a single complaint

Can walk to waterfront restaurants

A very solid hotel, although they they do charge for wireless - which I personally find to be completely uncalled for. The bed was outstanding and the room was quiet - which is really all I was looking for. The area in the immediate vicinity isn't exactly bustling, but the hotel is across the street from the river, so it's actually a nice enclave of downtown Portland. Meanwhile, the bartender at the lobby's drink emporium made a fine Manhattan.While I generally prefer a smaller hotel, I definitely would go again.

There's not much else to say than this hotel is located in a great location and that it is very clean and comfortable. Since it is right downtown and along the water, you can easily walk to any downtown district or to public transit. And since Portland is relatively quiet, I could not hear street noise.

Fun weekend, beautiful view, lots of fun things to do nearby. Parking seemed high and Internet had to be paid for extra but other than that, a great weekend.

Nice place. Great location. Wonderful service. Everyone very helpful. Might give it perfect ratings except for annoying pratice of charging highway robbery for wi-fi. How is it that coffee shops and mom and pop restaurants and b and b's will give it away but a national chain charges $12.50 for a day of wi-fi? I find that that practice diminishes my enjoyment of what was otherwise a great place to stay. Shame on Marriot for such a trivial robbery of their customers.

The Marriott was in the perfect location. We were able to walk all over Portland to see the sights, it's right accross from the waterfront great walking path and were within lots of great dining choices. We didn't use the valet parking as it's really expensive, we parked at a parking building that was a block from the hotel and $12 a day which was more than 1/2 the cost of parking at the Marriott. The hotel staff was great and our room had a beautiful view of the waterfront, great room. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to dining, shops, parks, etc. We stayed for 2 days in a water view room, and it was stunning in the evenings. Walked to nearby restaurants, and spent the afternoon at a farmer's market filled with some amazing artisans!! The pool was small, and quite busy, but it was just what we needed after a hot day outside. The Oregon Zoo was a 5 minute drive away, and one of the most beautiful zoos we have ever been to. Parking was a bit expensive, $32 a day, but the valet gave suggestions to park at a nearby lot for $19 a night, or free parking after 7pm on the street. Overall, a really superb stay, employees were pleasant, room was clean, and beds comfy!

I was absolutely impressed by the level of customer service from the entire staff. Every individual I encountered went out of their way to assist me. The location was great, and the view was fantastic. The hotel was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The only thing that threw me off initially was the room didn't have a refrigerator. However, a simple phone cal to the front desk fixed that issue. They brought onw up. Though, they don't really have a good place to put it so it was a bit in the way. Otherwise a great stay. Would highly recommend.

Hotel was clean, comfortable and inviting. The staff were were very helpful and courteous. Bring in the heart of downtown we were near everything, or just a short drive to Hollywood district as well as nopo Alberta.

The only downside was the high cost of (valet) parking at the hotel, no self-park available nearby with in and out privileges. Use Portland's excellent mass transit, or be aware if you have a car it will cost extra.

Everything about this hotel was perfect except for the one thing that NEEDED to be perfect. We stayed for one night and hardly slept at all due to the beds being doubles rather than queens. I'm a big guy and my wife and I kept bumping each other all night. We could have had a king, but my daughter would have had to sleep on a rollaway and we thought we would be in two queens. Besides not sleeping, everything else was A+++

The hotel appearance and rooms were clean and inviting. The staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. I was impressed that the staff even came out from behind the check in to greet us. That was a nice touch. The one improvement could be had in updating the air conditioning / heating. A bit loud and inconsistent. I will come back.

Excellent service

Customer service was great! Including the valet men/women. I'm not sure though why we were given two double beds and not a king size bed. I didn't think two double beds were bad, until we walked into the room and saw that the room was very small. Including the bathroom and the shower. 2 people cannot comfortably fit in the shower, which was dissappointing. The room was very clean, but since I'm 5'8" my feet were hanging over the bed all night. The bed was very small. Not comfortable at all!! Oh and the music selection on the tv was $14.99, and I immediately called to cancel, because I purchased by mistake. Wifi was $12.95 a day, which I thought was steep. Not sure if I would stay again....

Overall a pleasant stay and the staff was very helpful. A fine view over the Willamette River and a location on the edge of downtown Portland. The room was relatively comfortable and decent sized, but the odd shape of the rooms affects available space.

Wonderful...the staff at the front desk really went out of their way to makes us welcome. The whole staff was professional, freindly and very knowledgable. GREAT TIME!!!! GREAT PLACE!!! TERRIFIC STAFF!!

Excellent service, good recommendations, great bar service, lovely view!

No free wifi, which is pretty standard these days. Parking was way too expensive. Breakfast was a joke. Would not stay here in the future.

Our overall experience was great. Only mild complaint was the room seemed noisy. From an upper room we could hear street sounds.

I was so disappointed in this hotel; I thought "Marriott" was safe bet, but it was the only hotel we have stayed at that charged $12 for wi-fi (everywhere else we stayed wi-fi was free for duration of stay). The room was TINY (whereas others we stayed at were large and expansive, with high ceilings) and this hotel was too far off the beaten path to walk anywhere so you HAD to use the car. This wasted time and money because parking in Portland is difficult to find and usually for pay in private lots. Additionally, it was the most expensive hotel we stayed at, you had to pay extra for "water" view, and there was a PLUNGER in the bathroom! That was a first - but I realized why the first time I used the toilet! The valet staff was nice, but they practically had their hands out open palms everytime they spoke to you. I was thoroughly disappointed and would never stay here again even though I plan to visit Portland often.

Hotel is horrible. They charge for parking 32/day. Rooms stink. room services shows up 45 minutes after i ask them to bring anything. The basic items like soap etc doesn't get installed everyday. I had to call them each time. Towels smell like dead fish. Restaurant waiters had some attitude. Highly do NOT RECOMMEND this place. Price for this hotel is very high for what they deliver. It should have 2 star rated. Absolutely HORRIBLE.

Breakfast was overpriced and mediocre. Pancakes dried out & tough.

Service was outstanding but the construction is terrible. Absolutely the worst room we've ever had with respect to hearing every word from the adjacent rooms.

The hotel is pretty nice. After taxes and everything it was close to $200 for a standard room. The lobby and bar are both pretty impressive. But I can't remember the last hotel I stayed in with this small of a room. The bathroom in the room is also tiny. I was expecting a little more with the price tag. The website advertises a balcony, but the "balconoy" is only about 2 feet wide. Theres not much point in even having them. The beds were prertty springy and uncomfortable. The room seemed pretty clean. But we did find a broken umbrella handle under the bed which tells me they didn't do the most thorough job of cleaning. Another negative was that it was $32 to park. Which seems a little steep since I had already spent a couple hundred on a tiny room for the night. The employees are friendly and helpful though. And the location is great. It was about 1 mile from the downtown bars. And was about a $7 cab ride back from them. About $15 to get to the Rose Garden.

The hotel was awesome. Our room was a bit small however for the price. I would defenitly stay here again! Make sure to ask the front desk where to park first before parking. Some of the garage charges were ridiculous!

king rooms are tiny and the bathrooms so small they hang the towels in the shower (they got wet). every door slamming shut made our jostle. everything else was great.

Smaller room than I thought. Terrible view. However, great location, especially for running. Attentive staff.
