We loved the place. Clean room and very nice 18th floor dining, pool, hot tub and we did a late check out. They were very accommodating storing our bags for a few hours too.

Stayed for 1 night. Great location, very clean. I will come back for sure.

We decided to take our kids, 4 & 5, for a weekend adventure in Victoria, BC. Upon arrival the kids were given a toy from the front desk treasure chest. Arriving in our room we were pleasantly surprised at the room and cleanliness. Our suite had ample pillows for the pull out and the little kitchen was perfect for breakfast. The kids spent hours in the pool and were awe-stricken by the ghost playing piano in the lobby. As for location - perfect!! We left the car in the hotel FREE parking all weekend! We will definately be back to Chateau Victoria in the summer months.

The hotel is in the heart of town, within walking distance of the Inner Harbour, shopping, restaurants and Beacon Park. I cannot say enough about the staff at the hotel, so pleasant and accomodating. Everyone on staff had a smile on their face and a willingness to help with whatever we needed. This is one to visit again and again!

I never write comments but this hotel is a very good one, very well located, the suites are very comfortable and the people very kind. The restaurant at the 18 floor is the only one in the hole town with a perfect view and service. fully recomended. thks

I stayed at this hotel for a few days in February after having a horrible experience at another hotel that is under rennovation in Victoria. Immediately, I was taken by the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk staff. The room was an eleventh floor, balconied paradise. It was clean, quiet, and at a very comfortable room temperature. I even had the pleasure of watching a sunrise one morning from the comfort of my balcony. I would say as a visitor to this city desiring a location that is right in the heart of downtown you really could not ask for a better place to stay.

I have stayed in other 4 star hotles that are on the water but I have to say that this hotel has been the best I have been in Victoria. I sayed in th 1 bed room suite and its a good size. Great Location to everything and close to the waterfront. The Clive Lounge is awesome...best gin and tonics ever!! (and the food is great too)

The Junior Suite at the Chateau Victoria was a great deal and enable us to save by having breakfast and pre dinner snacks and drinks in the comfort of our room. With the living room set up separate from the bedroom it was very comfortable for entertaining. The sofabed was also comfortable to easily accommodate 4 in the room. Great location to walk to all the sites, shopping and restaurants and bars in downtown Victoria but not on a main street so no noise

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days....and it was a fantastic experience. With so many hotels in the surrounding area you would be hard pressed to find one with more value and sevice. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful and the room itself was top notch...I suggest staying in rm 1502!!! Spacious with a great view. Location was perfect as was the food in both the Vista 18 and Clives (especially the steak). Will be back for sure!

Hotel was great except breakfast is ridiculously expensive (cheapest item is $17) and the hot tub was slightly murky. Food and Drink quality was excellent and both restaurants in the hotel were excellent. Rooms were good and priced well.

My Husband and I had a great night out on the Town in Victoria then walked back to our Hotel, The room was nice the bed was very comfortable and the price was right the staff were very friendly and I would stay there again for sure

Chateau Victoria has a lot going for it. Clive's, the lobby bar, has just been rated one of the best in the world, and when you visit you will see why. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfy. Plus the people that work at the hotel and friendly and fun. I stayed for a few nights and walked everywhere in Victoria. Nothing is too far away. Plus the hotel offers a free shuttle to any of the downtown attractions. Don't miss out on Clive's, it is easily one of the classiest bars I have ever visited. The bartenders are knowledgeable and creative in their creations. Overall I would give this hotel 5 stars!

The hotel was fine,and the staff were great!!

We stayed in one of the smaller rooms, but that was what we were looking for. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. The fridge in the room made a vibrating noise and we fixed the problem by unplugging the fridge at night. The shower drain was plugged as well, which maintenance fixed PDQ. No problems after that. Parking was interesting - a bit of a puzzle and after traveling all day, the confusing parking lot was frustrating.

Had an excellent one-night stay at the Chateau Victoria, wish we could have stayed longer! Exterior is older looking, but the lobby is lovely and Clive's Lounge had a nice atmosphere. The location was an easy walk to all the popular spots. I reserved a "Junior Suite" which offered the choice between a queen size bed *or* a pull-out sofa bed! Odd, I thought, but I selected the queen size bed which was a step up from the full-size bed offered in the standard room. We were pleasantly surprised to open the door to our room which was more like a one bedroom apartment complete with kitchenette and dining area, living room with large TV and a bedroom with a king size bed and TV as well! The bed was more comfortable than mine at home! We had a balcony that didn't have the most scenic view, but was nice all the same! A little disappointed that the hot tub was closed for cleaning, but the front desk staff were super nice and let us take a dip in the pool after we checked out and they held our luggage in a secure room. Overall a wonderful stay, I'd recommend Chateau Victoria to anyone trying to decide where to stay in Victoria.

My girlfriend and I stayed for two nights and were very pleased with the hotel and staff. Location was excellent and staff went out of their way to be helpful and offer tips, etc. on our excursions. They were genuinely interested in what we were doing and offered up valuable advice. Loved the Vista 18. Will definitely stay here again if and when back in Victoria. Thanks to all staff for an enjoyable stay!

The 2 most important reasons why I booked this hotel was because it offered a very reasonable priced one bedroom suite with separte sitting area, mini fridge, sink and microwave and for the location. I was traveling with my elderly Mother and this allowed her to take naps in the private bedroom, keep juice and snacks on hand and we could visit with friends in the sitting area that had a couch and chair (plus a nice desk and chair). The location was awesome as the distance to the water and everything else was very handy for a Senior who can't walk far. The staff were wonderful and I would highly recommend the resturant on the top floor of the hotel. The view is amazing as well as the food. I would highlly recommend this hotel.

Our 1 bedroom is big and fit our family of 4 with 2 queen bed. We're so impress with the price vs. size of the room. It's really worth the $$. Great location and so quite even our room is in front of the elevator. We stay on 6th floor so we couldn't see a great view though.

My husband and I had a great time in Victoria, BC at the Chateau Victoria. We were amazed how close we were to downtown Victoria. We saw the back of the Empress Hotel from our balcony and a great view of the city. We were on the 7th floor (I read previous reviews to stay above the 6th floor since the ones below were noisy and I can see why when we went to the hot tub). Our room had French doors that go into the bedroom which was an added bonus, it was really fancy. We were a little disapointed that the bal wish the balcony didn't have furniture out there so we could hang out, but we did improvise and brough the 2 chairs that they have inside with the table out. Everything was nice and clean and everyone was really friendly. Plus, there is a free shuttle from the Victoria Clipper which was a nice surprise (even though we walked to the ferry on the way back since it only takes about 15 mins. you are that close). It was a great deal and an enjoyable stay! I would reccomend this to anyone staying in Victoria.

I found this hotel a bit disapointing. I asked on my reservation to have a Queen sized bed and was informated that my booking was in a "standard" room that meant that I had to have two full size beds. The delivery of this was somewhat rude and it seemed like the hotel had a high level of vacancies so I'm not sure why they couldn't feel like giving a single Queen bed to an individual that is 6 and a half fee tall if it was available. Secondly, the noise level was horrible. My room was two doors down from an ice/soda room (they only had one for a ten story building) so I had to constantly hear the door slamming shut to these all day and night. Additionally the noise outside of the hotel echos into the hotel which meant I had to hear all of the bar and partying going on at street level. If I had to do it over , I wouldn't chose this hotel.

We have stayed there several times. Great, convenient location SUPERB restaurant Excellent, helpful housekeeping staff We will stay there on our next visit to Victoria

very very comfortable room. We rec'd a 2 room suite upon arrival -which was wonderful upgrade! Only downside is paying for parking. Esp when their flyer says its free. Apparently if you book thru another website you get charged the parking but not if you book directly with the hotel.

We were on the second floor right over the entrance. Although it was a non-smoking room, we had to endure not only the noise of being over the main entrance, but the smoke from the people smoking just outside the doors of the lobby. ugh!

This is a great hotel. Close to everything in downtown Victoria. Only 1 block away from the waterfront. The greek restaurant next door, Millos, is very good. Had a wonderful stay.

Lovely hotel, great parking for a minimal fee, and the location was perfect. We were close to everything we wanted to see and lots of good restaurants. Beautiful room.

This hotel is very nice. it is in a great location. Within walking distance of everything you need. The harbour, BC Museum, Chinatown, Fishermans Wharf, etc. Hotel has a nice pool and hot tub. great service. Would sure stay there again. 5 out of 5

Convenient location but rooms on the front are very noisy if you have an open window for comfort. It is an OK hotel but only for 1 night.

The hotel was nice, the location fantastic, the staff friendly, the pillows great, but unfortunately we got the worse possible room. Right across the ice machine, a few steps from the elevator, on the way to the pool, right above the lobby entrance. It was pretty noisy. We requested a queen/king bed and got 2 double beds and there was no chance to change the room. The bathtub drain was so plugged that it created a pool. I would go back to hotel because the location was fantastic and for the weekend the price was right. But I sure felt that because I gotten a deal through hotels.com I got the worse room in the hotel even though the reservation was made at least a couple of weeks in advance.

Nice place, priced right, great food, and good location. Parking a bit of a problem. Highly recommended!

Everything was good but they do not allocated the best rooms in the hotel - we had trouble operating the shower. The knob kept jamming and the water was going from very hot to very cold while showering - not a good experience! Parking could be a problem. But overall, the quality was good and the price was attractive.

An excellent location close to all central amenities. Friendly and helpful staff and superb breakfasts!

Absolutely fantastic, our room, everything about this wonderful hotel. The staff and one who make our reservation, incredilbe. I wish to thank everyone for making our family holiday a wonderful experience. This truly is a five star hotel. Thank you Sincerely

The hotel is very pleasant and has a nice restaurant upstairs with a great view. The only reason I do not give 5 stars is because my room (2nd floor) used to be a smoking room and I am very sensitive. I toughed it out because they were full up.

I and family with two children have a wonderful stay. The location is good, the room is very good for us, we have two queen bed with one sofa bed room and the price is resonable.
