This is a great hotel. Front counter the best. Top service

Skip the restaurant. Staff was very nice. Needs a deep clean on carpets.

Although maid service was done daily items (cups, tissue, tea) were often not refilled. The desk happily supplied them when requested but I think that should be part of the daily service. Hotel location is near the Metro but drivers might have difficulty figuring out how to get to the location.

The quality of hotel service was outstanding and everyone so helpful and super nice! And our room was impeccably clean. Hotel shuttle drivers so pleasant and helpful.

The staff was very helpful , hotel had free bus ride to the airport.

The location a block away from the metro was the nicest thing. Also, being next to the interstate made it easy to travel by car as well. The hotel has a shuttle (at least that's what we were told) to Old Town Alexandria where there are lots of shops and restaurants. But we waited for half an hour and it never showed up so we ended up driving. The hotel was also very expensive for my standards, but judging by the rates in the area it was not that bad for the location. The pool was nice, and there was water zumba on Thursday. Yes, I would stay there again mainly for the easy access to the metro. But the price is the biggest limiting factor on whether I can come back.

We had a wonderful stay here. Rooms are clean, staff is helpful and pleasant. The hotel is close to everything!!

I like this hotel. It was very close to the Metro which allowed use to travel very easy into Washington, DC. It was within walking distance. The only thing I did not like is there was not continental breakfast. The breakfast that was available to buy was 14.95 per person. I thought this to be a little to high. Over all a nice hotel.

The staff was excellent, location nice (block from metro), room was clean (except the huge water stain on the ceiling above the bed), only real complaint was the bathroom was extremely small -not a big deal. Great breakfast (not your typical 1st come 1st serve buffet) it was an actual breakfast with host & waitstaff.

We drove to the hotel and it was a nightmare trying to get into the parking lot. It was as if the hotel was built first and then the interstate highways were built around it. Thus, the hotel is standing all alone in the center of an on/off ramp to the interstate. The breakfast buffet was cold and we didn't bother to use the free breakfast vouchers after day one, as the buffet food was inedible. The room wasn't made up on day two of the stay. The maids came around in late afternoon or early evening to make up the room as we were trying to dress to go out for the evening. The bathroom was tiny and the room was noisy. The staff were professional, but not warm or friendly. They seemed overworked between the responsibilities of running the front desk and driving the van. For the price we paid, I expected a little more than this. It was close to the metro and if you didn't have to drive you will like that feature. There was a shopping center/theater within walking distance and the room service we ordered one night was prompt and the food was good. Would NEVER consider staying there again. There are better options.

Good place to stay, however the breakfast buffet is very poor. Very limited selection and quantities.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean, the pool was nice, well maintained, and had a lifeguard that took her job seriously and was a professional. The beds were horrible with some sort of mattress pad that felt like sandpaper. The beds were set very high, were hard to get into, and were very uncomfortable. The bathroom was tiny and looked like it was tacked on as an afterthought. Bathroom was maybe 6' x 7' with a drop ceiling that made the room feel like a coffin. The tub was tilted down so everything rolled towards the drain. The restaurant was fine (typical hotel food), but the staff was attentive and friendly. If the hotel got rid of the beds and mattress pad and did something with the bathroom, it would have been a pleasant stay. Fortunately, we only spent one sleepless night there.

We were very pleased with our stay. The rooms were very nicely appointed and large and the staff was very accomodating. The metro is 1 block away, although it takes about 40 minutes and a train change to get to the attractions in DC, Breakfast and room service at the hotel is good and reasonable.Free parking is a plus. Several restaurants are a block away. The pool is only open from 3-10PM FYI but very nice for families. They are liberal with their shuttle service to take you to alternate metro station, old town Alexandria, etc. Very good deal for the money.

This hotel was located within walking distance to the Metro and to lots of excellent restaurants. It was an easy trip downtown and to other points near DC to visit family. My only complaint is that the hotel caters to a lot of school groups; the hallways can get pretty noisy at night.

The hotel was nice and easy to get to. Had a couple problems at check-in. Had bought a room through hotels.com that included breakfast, yet the hotel had no record of it. The agent at the desk was slightly rude about this and I had to 'prove' to them that this was the situation. This meant I had to log onto a computer in the lobby, find the email with the confirmation, and show it to the desk. By this time the employees had changed over and I basically had to start all over with another agent. This added a lot of extra time to check in. In addition, I had specifially requested a quiet room yet was put directly across from the ice and vending machines on the top floor. This room was also directly under the main generator for the hotel so it was extremely loud. However, despite all of this the room was clean, the staff (besides initial front desk agent) were very nice, the food was great, as well as was the location to the metro. All in all I would stay here again, yet would probably call and confirm directly to the hotel my requests so I don't run into these problems again.

The staff at the front desk as well as the staff in the restaurant were wonderful and very accommodating. We have stayed here before and will stay again since we have family who live nearby. We watched basketball games in the lounge and they turned on our favorite team and made sure we were comfortable.

Perfect location to metro rail! Only one block from the station. There is not much to see or do in walking distance but it doesn't matter because you are so close to the metro. If you're looking for an inexpensive alternative to a DC inner city hotel, this is a great option. They also provide shuttle service to local shopping centers. Very clean. Great service. Delicious food in the restaurant.

Hotel was excellent in terms of the condition of the rooms and cleanliness. Breakfast was good. Big bonus was easy access to metro for sightseeing.

I had a really good stay I wasn't to happy with the breakfast buffet. The kids had a great time in the pool.

The room was fine, the location fantastic, but a slow drain in the bathtub made showering difficult the first night. The problem was taken care of quickly.

The breakfast is not free as advertised, they gave us a $20 voucher, and we had to pay for the balance, was not worth it

I was very satisfied with the conditions of the room and the convenience of the location as well. I will choose to stay there again when I come to town to visit Washington DC. It makes no sense to stay in any of the other local hotels that doesn't provide the convenience and services that your hotel exposed me to for the same price. Good job keeping the indoor pool clean and open all year Round.

so close to metro and old town of Alexandria and shops/restaurants. Hotel had everything you could need, including an excellent breakfast.

The hotel is not very close to attractions in DC or Alexandria but the metro is not too far and a good bike path goes right along Eisenhower Ave.

Our stay at Holiday Inn Eisenhower Ave was fantastic. It had spacious rooms, great dining, excellent location. Everything you look for in a hotel. The only slight issue we had was the silverware in the dining room was heavy and awkward to hold and use. Other than that I have nothing but positive things to say and will definitly recommend this hotel to others.

Everyone at this hotel treated us very well. Our stay was for three days. Restaurant was very good. Had Breakfast and Lunch there. Entire staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Very close to the Metro station. We were treated much better here than at much more expensive hotels. We will definitely stay here again.

We were so welcomed as guests from the shuttle pickup at the airport until our return the same way. The employees were so professional and friendly. We were fortunate to have access to shuttles on so many of our adventures over the week. The drivers were very friendly and offered good advice on things to see and visit. The waiters and waitress were great hosts also. We appreciated our gift received for our anniversary. Thanks for a job well done.

I've stayed in a few Holiday Inns in the past, but I was never overly impressed with them. I am quite pleased that my expectations were surpassed at this location. I would gladly stay there again.

The room was nice and clean and very spaceous. I enjoyed watching the nice flat screen TV. It was very quite on my floor. I loved the stroll around the hotel grounds. I also enjoyed the restaurants where you can sit outside and the movie theater within walking distant. When I visit Alexandria, VA again I will stay at the same hotel because it is awesome. The Hoffman Town Center has a lots to offer.

We enjoyed our stay to the fullest, staff were great, location was good even with the road construction going on, I would certainly recomend it to anyone I knew was going to that area.

Good hotel and great location for DC sight seeing vacation. Convenient to metro station, local restaurants within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay very much.

As much as we paid, One would think a Free breakfast would be included. One of the few hotels that actually had a Life Guard at the Pool.Good location - 2 blocks from the DC Metro. Good eats nearby.

During booking all we knew is that we were close to a Metro station, and we were, it was across one street and a parking lot. However we were the second to last stop outside of DC which made for long rides to and from the city. One night we dined on the other side of DC around 8th street and late at night the trains are very spaced out; it took nearly an hour to get home on the Metro. Old Town Alexandria is the next stop down though so it was an excellent and quick trip to get there for a really nice historic area with a ton of restaurants and shopping. Our room was great and had quite a view from the 6th floor. Employees at the front desk were always on top of things, very friendly, and had good advice on places/things to do. In the restaurant we had issues with service but the food was fine. I learned from one employee that their restaurant is quite understaffed and always too busy at breakfast. It is a sit-down restaurant, not continental breakfast. It was difficult just to get someone to take our order or to get coffee..... I got in the habit of making it in the room when I got up. Building is clean, pool is indoors and clean with a lifeguard on duty. Bar was a good time and Sam is a great bartender. As much as I enjoyed the hotel I would only go back if our destination was Alexandria or Arlington. DC is too far away on the Metro, especially if you have kids in tow, which we likely will next time back to our nation's capital!

The Metro station is right next door and the hotel was comfortable and clean. I am happy to recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the DC area.

Problems first, Hall carpet smelled slightly, microwave turntable did not turn and not repaired even though asked twice, burned popcorn, rooms smelled of burnt popcorn for two days. Breakfast a little pricey. Shuttle to the airport at 6 am a little sketchy at first but they got me there with plenty of time. Nice folks. Very comfortable room, 1 block from Metro stop, a real plus!
