The silver spring location is great!!! The DC location is horrible and overcharged a couple of guest including myself for things I was not supposed to be charged for.

I was very satisfied with the quality and service I received while I was there.

Great staff and shuttle to the Metro was timely. Parked the car and used the metro all weekend. The fitness center was under construction and it is a busy street to go running in the neighborhood. Overall, it was a fair value. The hotel is older and in the process of upgrading.

Not Happy at all, the front desk staff was terrible, I am keeping it cleam but this hotel has a lot of improvemt to do

It took forever to check in (thats already been noted by other customer). Once upsatirs in the room the temparature was suspect, our wall temperature control seemed to either go from hot to cold. But the worst, workst thing is that I was bitten four times by god nows what. Must have been bed-bugs. Didnt even go complain because I didnt want to even go to the front desk to wait another 30minutes.

This hotel was a "A" rating and the beds were superb for a great night rest. I would return again.

The hotel itself was not the problem but their customer service was the worst I had ever seen and for that alone I would never go back. I booked my room online and paid ahead and when I got there I had to wait 45 minutes (probably more) just attempt to check in and the they didnt even have the room I requested. Instead of trying to be accomadating the staff was very rude and told me to take what I can get because it was a busy weekend....Worst experience ever...

It took 25 min. waiting in line to check in; then, we ended up with 2 dbl. beds rather than the king size which was reserved. There was a big party going on on another floor, and it was quite noisy all night on our floor, when the guests returned to their rooms.

i would recommend anyone to stay here, great location regarding where to eat and 4 blocks away from the metro station. services around are good and its quiet

Hotel stay was excelent for the most part. My complaint is there was no DVD player in the room and the pull out sofas were very uncomfortable. The hotel staff was excelent.

Clean, comfortable hotel. Wonderfully convenient to downtown Silver Spring and the metro stop into DC.

Great, but misleading - This is a NON-smoking hotel. Otherwise as reviewed and advertised.

I not recommend this hotel to anyone. when I was arriving to this hotel at 15:25 pm, I was waiting more than 2 hour to check-in a room. the waiting was requiring from me to continue following up with reception agents several times. i.e. push them to give me a room. that means I wasn't stay and waiting someone to tel me "your room is ready" if I stay it might waiting more long time to have a room. the hotel apply new process which is, push and ask them to have a room. if you stay and waiting, you will keep long time without any response. the room was very old and need to maintain and replace some of furniture. there is no no refrigerator and the room was not clean as well as there was dust on the floor and behind all furniture, under bed, on window. the clean lack of basic of cleaning standard that apply in 2 start hotel. reception agents was good and restaurant staff was excellent. the breakfast good. business room was very hot. internet was free which is good feature in this hotel.

Stayed here because it was the closest hotel to DC that offered a decently nice standard of quality. Surrounding area had shops/bars/restaurants within close walking distance which was convenient. Room was clean, beds were comfy, elevators were fast. Downsides- no fridge in room, small sink, old tv, no vent in bathroom=stinkville. I recommend as a decent mid-level hotel that offers proximity to metro, and stuff to do nearby but don't expect luxe.

One of the receptionists was a little unfriendly but her colleagues were excellent. The hotel bus shuttle service worked extremely well. I would recommend this hotel & I would use it again.

As a single female in an unfamiliar city, I was very anxious about traveling to the DC area on business. However, the hotel and its staff were incredibly nice and welcoming. Each staff member throughout the trip was very courteous and anxious to know that my needs were being attended to. I was able to walk safely during the day and evening to nearby restaurants. Room was clean upon arrival and was cleaned daily. The staff personnel at the lounge in the lobby were outstanding. Worth every penny spent to stay here.

Hotel is half of what DC hotels charge, and there is a reason. Fine if cheaper is waht you just have. One pleasant surprise: shuttle to and from Metro stop, altho it stops at 10am. Service was OK, except only one person at front desk who insisted on taking phone calls and having legnthy, almost overly polite discussions while those of us in line kept waiting. Room was exceedingly dark- difficult to see clothes, etc, due to poor lighting placement. Bathrooms old but clean.A decent bed and linens.

Everything we asked for was there. We were very pleased with the service. Outstanding place to stay with my handicap mother.

THE SINK WAS PLUGGED UP, TOILET BROKE, NO CLOCK, 2 OF THE 3 ELEVATORS BROKE, NOT A GREAT LOCATION. JUST A ALL AROUND HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

The hotel was not at all what I expecte. I stayed in a Crowne Plaza recently in Norfolk. It was clean, modern, comfortable. This Silver Spring, MD location was DISGUSTING! I had to switch rooms twice because there was the smell of old, stale cigarette smoke. The smell was embedded in the linens, window treatments, shower curtains, cloth furniture. There were gross stains in the carpet. I was nautious upon walking in it smelled so bad. Both of the initial rooms were the same way, I was then switched to the 3rd and final room. It did not smell bad - but I was not comfortable at all. It seems like the furniture, linens, etc have not been changed since the '90's. I travel often and this is one of the worst hotel stays I have had.

While the staff are polite at all times, from the moment we arrived our experience was difficult due to a problem with lack of staff. The bartender is also a waiter and can't mix a martini, the shuttle driver is also the bellman and they don't go to Dulles, the front desk has one person checking guests in and out with long lines, and housekeeping never replaces the breakfast ordering card and sometimes even the coffee is missing. Long waits for everything is routine.

The hotel staff was friendly, but they were very disorganized. They didn't seem to know what they were doing most of the time at the front desk and it took a long time for them to do anything, like get extra towels or a luggage cart or a parking attendant... Secondly, the rooms were nice looking, but they could have been cleaned better; it was very apparent that they had not been vacuumed in a while. The TV was also from like 1995. It was clunky and the color was very poor. Usually I don't care about TV's in a hotel room, but we had a babysitter watching our son and when he fell asleep for the night she had to "Watch" that horrible TV. It was staticy, bleeding color and old.

The Crowne Plaza was within a 3 mile radius from my sister's house, thereby qualifying my friend and I for the hotel's very convenient shuttle service. The drivers were friendly and knew their way to her house. When I discovered there was no tub mat or anything else to prevent a fall while using the bathtub shower, I called the front desk. By the next day, the hotel had purchased a new tub mat for our use. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, especially the woman who runs the Cafe, who, when we arrived late for quick breakfast one morning as she was trying to close, kindly smiled at us and told us to get whatever we wanted and eat at a table in the Cafe, too.

Do not stay at this hotel. The staff is rude and the restaurant is disgusting. I expect better from this hotel chain.

Hotel was delightful. Staff was very helpful and always had a smile on their faces.

We stayed with the family a few nights over Thanksgiving. Hotel is clean, comfortable and pretty well located walking distance from the Silver Spring metro. Only negative was an unadvertised $14/day charge for parking, which you have to take on weekdays because public parking nearby is all metered.

I booked King size bed and breakfast included through the hotels.com website. When I checked in, it became double twin size, and breakfast was not included. I was late checked-in, and the front desk told me he didn't have breakfast coupon and asked me to go to the front desk in the morning to pick the coupon up. I asked for shower-cap, tooth paste..the front desk told me he couldn't find them. The service was totally unsatisfied. The room was old, and carpet was dirty. I asked for taxi the second day in the morning. The front desk didn't call on time. In stead they put me in more expensive cab standing aside the hotel.
