The hotel was in poor repair....bugs, dirty and smelly......the continental breakfast was ok until i found a bug in my coffee.......

A good place to stay if you're by yourself and you need a simple room. (The Mexican restaurant next door, especially during football games, can be a little rowdy.)

i've never been in a room I was certain someone was killed in until this stay. There was what looked like blood, or feces all over the walls. I could not tell which nor would I want to. The door lock worked but it was clear that the door had been kicked in before. The wallpaper was not on the walls. The plumbing fixtures were ready to fall off. The telephone rang all night but the receiver did not work, which to be honest after that night was not surprising. The bed also gave me a weird rash. Overall if you're looking for a night where you'll feel as if you may be the next victim of a horrible and violent crime stay in this hotel. If you could call it a hotel.

We had returned to the area we used to live in to visit friends and family. The laundry facilities were not working and the staff that day could not direct me to a local laundry mat. The room was clean and very large but not much space to set your belongings on or in. No suitcase stand or tv guide only hbo guide. Towels were hung not to be changed but were changed anyway, everyday. We were disappointed with our stay this time.

The room was big and spacious and clean. But the TV was really old and would turn to a red screen every few minutes making it unwatchable. The towel rack in the bathroom was also broken and the door was tough to shut. But it was clean and well stocked. Good for sleeping as the beds were comfortable

No complaints but no praise either. It's a place to safely lay your head for cheap.

Most disappointing. Highly recommend hotel.com visit to see the place they are recommending. Room was so bad that we were not able to stay - one look, one whiff of the smell, worn linen, noisy light fixtures, etc etc. and we left. The staff seemed unconcerned - offered no alternative room when told we couldnt stay in the current one. Then charged a one night penalty despite room not being used. Had to spend well over an hour with hotel.com staff and escalate issue ivefore someone was helpful enough to get my money full refunded. All this during a nightmare week in CT that left hundreds of thousands of residents stranded with no heat, hot water and desperate for a hotel room. Very very disappointing....

so, so old and worn out.... outside door into building did not close, rugs in the hallways frayed and dirty; room hasn't been updated since 1970; no remote control; ugly poorly patched up bathroom. Can't believe this place even garnered a star.

This hotel was not the best. It was very old fashioned and did not feel the cleanest. Its not worth money. For a cheaper price, I would have expected for it to be in the condition that it was. The parking lot was very dark and the pool looked like it had not been used in years. The front desk was nice and check in was quick. I wouldn't stay here again unless it was an emergency situation. Not a great place to stay do more than a couple of hours or for a little rest.

What a nightmare! I will not recommend it to any one. Bad Bad place!

If you would like a cheap hotel room to crash in and you don't really care if the towels are paper thin or if the blankets look fifty years old and never washed then you'll be okay with your stay. The hotel staff was really accommodating and they told us that the room was roomy as it was a corner room. They also told us that their was a smell in our room and it did smell similar to a septic smell. The free continental breakfast was very acceptable as you can make your own waffles etc. The location is great.

Great value. Room was comfortable and they have a great Mexican Restaurant right next to the lobby. Internet was intermittent in the room. I had family that stayed in the main building and said the internet was better.

Room 106 wall paper wae peeling of the wall,AC was missing a nob,carpet was very old.Not like the other Days Inn we stayed at. Put some money into this motel

was here for 5 nights, overall experience was nice, room was clean even though a bit old (old carpets, old wallpapers in bathrooms). internet wasn't working

Overall, the place was a dump. The room had a strange smell. The bed was like a slab in the mourge. The bathroom door would'nt stay closed. The entire hotel was in bad shape. I noticed screens hanging off of other room windows. Not very good. Hey, you get what you pay for.

We rented a standard room which was unacceptable and they offered a complimentary upgrade when we complained. Ask for business class, which was not available on hotels.com. The property has a newer building in the back which was standard and comfortable. The front building is a sixties style balcony motel which should be avoided. All told, had I just dealt with the staff and stayed in the back building I would have given it a better review.

I stayed here for 2 nights when I was in a pinch, and I picked this hotel because it was one of the cheapest ones on the list. The price was inexpensive, but the room looked even cheaper than what I paid for. Everything looked really old and run-down. It was clean enough, but I definitely feel like it could've been cleaner. The vending machines were out of drinks, and the lobby smelled kind of musty. Overall, it was just kind of creepy. But if you need a cheap place to stay that has easy access to I-95, knock yourself out! This is your place.

This hotel is not glamorous by any means. I was intending on giving it a bad review on the evening I checked in. I've changed my tune. This hotel is in fact perfectly fine, a little run down but very clean. I stayed there for five nights and everyday my room was cleaned, coffee restocked and always plenty of towels. The room had free wi-fi and the bed was very comfortable. Teenagers definitely check in there to party and some transient types hanging about. There is however a Mexican restaurant next door that makes great margaritas. If you can get past the shabbiness of this place, it's cheap and clean. What else do you need?

I would not recommend this hotel. Upon arrival the room was not cleaned and the manager, Hirer, informed me that the blankets are changed once a week which was why he was trying to put the same blankets back on the bed in front of me and smoothing out the other bed because I was told it was not used because it was still made, and then I was asked to leave his hotel because I would not accept that treatment. I would not recommend this hotel.

Rooms smelled mouldy and musty...my son was afraid there would be a rat in the bed! The lock on the door was falling off...we left the hotel immediately and went to another hotel in the area.

For an economical place to stay, set back from traffic on a well traveled road, this is fine. It is in need of updating and decorating but is clean, has all that we needed for overnight accomodations. We did not experience the breakfast offered because of pur own time restrictions.

The room had a weird smell like tainted milk. Also when we found out the coffee maker didn't work, they told us to just drink coffee that's down at the lobby! The hair dryer was also broken and it took them almost an hour to get us another one.

I stayed at the Days Inn and Conference Center in Branford, CT as I had a family wedding in town. I arrived late at night and the front desk manager was very polite and cheerful. The room was spacious and clean, and the nightly rate was very reasonble. The building in back is in need of repair and upkeep - the windowsills are rotting and the building could use some paint. (I didn't get a look at the main building where the office is located) - I would still recommend this property as a clean, affordable place to stay with friendly and helpful staff.

Clean room, courtesy service, and within walking distance to restaurants.

TV remote did not work. I went to the office they gave me batteries and two other remotes that did not work. I did not have a chain lock on the door. The blanket on the bed had blood stains on it. They moved me to another room. The heat did not work and the microwave caught fire.

I read the reviews and they were pretty accurate, There was a smell when first checked in room but after 1 day it was gone from heater running. Everyone there wanted to make sure you were satisfied. Although a few could not speak english Breakfast was bagels, friend cakes from box and 4 cereals bananas I say you got more than you paid for

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It should be closed and renovated. The lobby was the most maintained part of the hotel. At check-in, they put us in the "Conference Center" which is behind the main building. The hallway and room smelled of mold, the wallpaper was peeling in several places, the carpeting was stained, the furniture was outdated, the screens were ripped and the room was dreary. We should have checked right out but we were pressed for time. When we returned at 8:30 that evening, we asked to be changed. They accommodated us, but we had to take a smoking room. Of course, the room reeked of smoke, there were burn holes in the blanket on our bed and the comforter smelled of smoke, the carpet had an iron burn. This room, however was better than the one in the Conference Center. Our friends have the same complaints but the additional problem of a toilet that ran all night. The maintenance man came over and tried to fix the problem which lasted until the toilet was flushed again. The only positive part of this hotel was the staff who tried to accomodate us. The rooms were as clean as you could make an outdated hotel. Unfortunately, I will think twice before booking a room in a Days Inn.

Hotel looked exactly like the pictures. Person at Front Desk was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok.

While staff was friendly and breakfast was nice, this hotel is in SERIOUS need of refurbishing. Hard to believe original price was as much as it was. It was seriously shabby. Rugs were frayed, tub was all beat up, bed covers were seriously stained and pilled and wall paper was peeling off walls. I stacked up two blankets to sleep on becasue I was afraid of the mattresses

economy motel... not bad for the $. nice size, clean outdoor pool ,& waffle maker for breakfast (the 2 requirements of my 8 yr old!)... We were allowed a late check out in order to have extra time at the pool. Our door did not fully close /lock unless we slammed it fairly hard. I'm not sure our neighbors appreciated this...!! I read the previous reviews about no toilet paper holder.. apparently they no longer possess the key to the locked toilet paper holder so they just place the toilet paper on the top of the bar. The first time you use it it falls on the floor,... so it sits on the sink.... nice sink with ample room under the faucet (nice koeler faucet), clean bathroom, micro, frig, coffee maker, iron. (who needs fancy new wallpaper?) We don't require much more...

This place is awright - not a delux hotel but far from a dump! Good value for money especailly in this area.

My first room was disgusting, complete with peeling wallpaper, stains on the carpet and lampshades, missing toilet paper holders, taped wallpaper, peeling popcorn cieling, strange white chalk looking mark on the floor and a disgusting smell. Since the hotel was booked, I had to stay 1st night in this terrible room. The hotel switched me the next day and although room slightly better, still not very good (at least not smelly like the first one.) When my husband came to join me on the second day, he was given a key by only asking for a key to the room I was staying in. He did not show ID and was not questioned at all. That is a little scary, that anyone could have had access to my room.... I will never stay at a Days Inn again!

An extremely comfortable bed at a reasonable price, close to our venue, but a room that was shabby and replete with small wonders that made you think Days Inn forgot about this hotel. The missing toilet paper roller, the tissue dispenser hole in the wall but no dispenser, were only two of the list I made and then tossed away because i was sure you did not care. Now I see that you do care. Have someone on your staff spend a night there and report back. It gives Days Inn a bad name.
