Holiday Inn Boston at Beacon Hill - بوسطن

This hotel feels like a place where the business from Massachusetts General Hospital means they don't have to try very hard to get business. It's tired and worn and not especially comfortable.

I understand about remodels they have to happen, but when you stay in a hotel you should not have to pay for parking! Also walking outside in any weather to get to hotel! You should tell and offer free valet service. That would be my biggest offering. I will not and am telling my company to not send any more of our employees to stay there unless you change your ways about parking. I will also be posting on my website about this major problem. No body business or other wise wants to walk in nasty weather to meetings or pleasure.

The hotel was well maintained and the staff was friendly. I can't really comment much on the cost of the stay but it was relatively cheap for it's central location. I did think that it would be much for the hotel to provide a small fridge in the room, I think that would make this hotel more attractive.

The stay was most pleasant, the staff accommodating, even though the hotel was undergoing renovations, all precautions had been taken, the dining hall had switched to a different temporary location while renovations were through, and everything was followed through without a hitch. The only minor complaint I have is that the from was very dusty, the desk and bedside tables were not dusted properly. Also, and I realize that this is difficult to accommodate, I am a vegan, and breakfast options for vegans are limited. Other than that, the stay was most pleasurable and I will book with Holiday Inn next time Im in the area. Thank you.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We were able to check in earlier than 4:00. The hotel restaurant is under construction, but it only affected where you could eat breakfast or dinner. Our only issue was that we were hoping for roomservice, only to find out that you had to order outside of the hotel for that. Beacon Hill is a good area, but for the price we paid, more should have been made available.

The hotel was conveniently located near Museum of Science ans short walk to Fleet Center and Quincy Market.

For what we spent for one night i was expecting alot more. The place was ok but not all that great. They wanted to charge an outrageous amount for parking. So I parked elsewhere for alot cheaper. Staff was ok but not outgoing. They gave us keys to our room that didn't work and our food voucher was only for 2 people even though the room was booked for 3. Also the room didn't have enough towels. Called the desk for more took them 30-40 mins to get them. By then i had already asked a cleaning lady for towels and showered. Like my title states. Less then impressed.

Hotel was in a central location near the Garden and other popular spots. Even though there was construction going on, the only noise irratant was the cleaning ladies in the hallway every morning. Great Irish pub across the street!

i travel a lot with work so i have stayed in many different hotels in many different cities, including this hotel on many occassions. They are under going renovations at present but minimal noise and only during blocked off hours in the day when the contractors are allowed to work. Only difference was relocation of the restaurant and room service availability was only during certain hours, simply because the old was becoming the new. definately not much of an inconvenience and certainly understandable. with all said, i truly have never found a nicer, more knowledgabe, always going out of their way to help staff than the wonderful people employed at holiday inn at beacon hill. that includes everyone from doormen to housekeeping. the front desk is the best of the best.

No free parking for guests

We enjoyed our stay, the staff was most friendly and attended to our every need. On my next trip I will choose to stay at the Boston Holiday Inn. Most convient to everything I need to visit.

Location was the major reason I chose this place. It was clean and quiet. the only knock is the wi-fi and internet is slow slow slow.

I was unhappy to learn that I could not get any lunch at the hotel on Saturday. They serve breakfast until 10 a.m. and then nothing until dinner. Also, I did not have a fridge in my room. and I think I have had one previously at this hotel.

nice location , quite and have a food market nearby and a lot of good restauntants, nice staff there

Had to relocate rooms twice, first room had no heat and shower curtain rod was falling off wall, second room smelled like cooked onions with flower spray, then they moved us to a handicapped room that the bathroom was bigger than bed room. UGH.......

My family had a great time here in Boston at this hotel.The hotel was fine for the money and a very very good location for the tourist we walked everywhere or caught the subway nearby.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as I took in a Boston Bruins hockey game on a weekend. Paid a little more to get a room on the executive floor for some peace and quiet but checked in at 10 PM only to find out the conference / party rooms are just above the executive floor and a huge party going on. Hotel staff provided me with a large room on a standard floor instead with two complementary buffet breakfasts. I appreciated that. Overall the hotel is fairly modern, centrally located with about a 20 min walk to the harbourfront, 10 min walk to the TD Garden and a few blocks from the T station. My only complaint is the HVAC unit in the room was a little noisy. Either way I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

well located, walking distance from capitol, Boston common, Faneuil Hall, North end; Valet service; courteous staff; good breakfast buffet (hot & cold); easy to get to this hotel from I-93.

Excellent location and very friendly helpful staff. Will recommend the hotel to all my friends

Good location and quiet room.We were on the 10th Floor and had a nice view of the city. No breakfast with the room and breakfast at the hotel was pricie, but the food near by was good and reasonable.

The hotel staff were wonderful- incredibly helpful, pleasant, and I really appreciated all of the people I met (from the person at the door to the receptionists). however, the room smelled moldy and musty. It was also lout (although much of this was street noise). And the iron left a mess on my clothes when I used it.

This was our first visit to Boston. Being it was just my sister and me we wanted a safe location. The hotel was within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Such as the 'Freedom Trail' and all the historic sites. The hotel has a nice resturant located next to the lobby. Many coffee places close by for a quick breakfast to start the days adventure. I would stay here again. On the down side, the hotel does not have shuttle service to or from the airport or the cruise dock.

I had a friend who lived down the street from this hotel so I was already familiar with the neighborhood. This is definitely one of the most beautiful locations in Boston. Very close to some historic places like Fanuiel Hall/Quincy Market, the Freedom Trail, and the Commons. The hotel itself was very nice and clean, the room was spotless, and the service (valet parking, front desk, porters) were very helpful and accomodating. For the money, I think this was one of the best values for a hotel I've ever stayed at. Would stay again!

Convenient to the subway and Whole Foods Market, this hotel is in a great location. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Also, we found the doormen to be very helpful. I would stay there again.

The proximinity of the hotel in regards to its location from Massachusetts General Hospital where my husband was a patient was extremely helpful to me . The staff was of kind and helpful.

Great location for walking to many sites & restaurants. Hop-on, Hop-off stops at the hotel. The downside is that the rooms are completely rundown and bathrooms are tiny & inconvenient.

Friendly and helpful staff in a fabulous location. Highly recommend this hotel.

Centrally located in Boston and 5 minute walk to Charles/MGH Red line subway (used regularly) and to Bowdoin Blue line (used once due to limited hours/not well marked from street--walked past it twice and had to ask for directions/ doesn't have elevator, so had to carry luggage on stairs). We were able to use the subway to/from the airport and for sightseeing around Boston. Close to Whole Foods grocery & CVS pharmacy--so easy to get snacks and meals that are cheaper than restaurants. (exit on 2nd floor leads right to this shopping center). Wish our room had a fridge, but used ice. Nice pool--with lifeguard on duty. Negative: shower curtain pole was a C shaped one. Between the curtain not having magnets at the base and it being installed it too close to the tub, when in use, the shower curtain had 18 inch gaps on both sides, so water got on the floor, and was warping tiles. No fan in bathroom. Also could hear some louder noises in neighboring rooms and an occasional ambulance. I would stay in this Holiday Inn in Boston again.

Exceptionally cordial service. We stayed on an executive floor -- it was blissfully quiet, with a meeting room overlooking Charles River, Back Bay, and part of Cambridge, and an ideal location for July 4th fireworks spectacular!! Hotel convenient to transit, restaurants, stores, MGH, and other sites.

Cheapest in the area and perfect for one night when going to a show or something like that.

Brought my 2 daughter's up to Boston for father's day weekend from Ft. Lauderdale! Had an awesome time, Red Sox Game, Bruins Victory Parade and the Blue Man Group! The Hotel experience was exceptional, made the weekend very comfortable, great location, close to Quincy Market and Whole Foods was conveniant! Highly Recommend to friends!

We came to Boston for a wedding and, unfortunately, our plans to stay with family fell through the day before due to a serious, unexpected illness. It was graduation week. Most of the hotels were full, so we settled for this one. We paid TOP dollar, a ridiculous price, and found the shower drain full of hair, a big hole in the sheets, and a broken ice machine that was not fixed for the entire week we were there. Some of the plugs are so loose that you can't even plug anything in - INCLUDING the radio/alarm clock in the room. The hotel is rather run down - all of the safety and other signs are missing most of their letters. The tv is not only not an LCD, it is not even a flat screen! It is an old fashioned, curved screen tv. I have never seen one in all the hotels we have stayed at for the last few years! I asked for a refrigerator in the room and received an approximately 1 cubic foot unit, dented and scratched. To the hotels credit, however, they did not bill me the $20 a day charge for the refrigerator. The cards in the room telling you how to connect to the wifi are outdated and incorrect - you would think that they would remove these and give you the correct information. However, the location is perfect. Steps to Whole Foods, a CVS, Bon Au Pain, and the T. A 15 minute walk to Boston Commons or Government Center. However, you can and should do better!

The hotel was fine except for the parking facilities. We had chosen the hotel for its convenience to Mass General Hospital (my partner was undergoing surgery there), and had requested access to handicapped-accessible parking. This request was confirmed by the hotel in advance of our visit. When we arrived, we found that the parking lot was not even attached to the hotel -- it was the lot for an entire shopping center. We also found that access to to hotel from the lot was not clear or simple; most importantly, it was not even handicapped-accessible (we didn't have the choice of avoiding stairs). Not at all suitable for visitors needing access to handicapped-accessible facilities.

When we arrived, we were immediately greeted by porters and valet parking attendants; we were checked in very quickly -- there was no time wasted! It was also a quick check-out: we called for our car and by the time we got to the lobby the car was waiting.
