Holiday Inn Somerville - سوميرفيل

My wife had surgery at Mass. Eye and Ear Imfirmary and I needed a place to stay near the hospital.The rate was 100.00 to 200.00 better than anyone close to the hospital.I ended up being an 8 minute drive away. The room was clean the staff was nice.Overall I would recommend it to anyone who needs to be close to the hospitals and can't spend a small fortune.

Staff was very helpful. Very close to the transit line. Convenient well lit on site parking lot. The neighborhood is somewhat tacky.

I enjoyed my stay would stay their again .

It was really godd I enjoyed so much!

The hotel is brand new, super clean.Really nice furnishings in and out of the room. Pool area is also brand new. Friendly staff. The problem is that it seemed to be in an area that is not very nice, meaning that it's not the best part of Boston. This hotel would be perfect if they could pick it up and move it somewhere more desirable. However, Sullivan Sq station is only 3 blocks away with super quick access to the city center, only 2 stops from the North End.

Have stayed in this hotel many times over the years on trips to Boston. It is a short walk to the T subway station which makes transporation around the city easy and affordable. The hotel has been renovated and they did a nice job... room furnishings are contemporary and bed was very confortable.

This was a great pick, especially for my 8 yr old stepson! We actually set an alarm to get a little basketball in before heading out for sightseeing in the city! Great area for kids!!

Their pizza was good, however the rest of their food not so much. The breakfast buffet was awful and not worth the $. Everything else about the hotel was great.

Clean, affordable, nice pool/play area, recently renovated, free wifi, unattractive semi-industrial neighborhood but close to the T, free parking, free breakfast for kids 12 and under (two kids for every adult).

Nice room and staff friendly late check in though and a little construction going on. A little pricey Overall very good stay

The hotel is very clean and the rooms updated and spacious. However, we were on a higher floor and the poor sealing of the windows made the room drafty, not to mention loud, when the wind blew. However my biggest complaint is that most of the staff we encountered were unhelpful or downright rude. (The restaurant servers are an exception.) The front desk employees were completely unsympathetic when I had a problem that was partially their fault. No smile, no apology, no offer to assist. I will not return to this hotel as a result, no matter how nice the rest of it is. Also, be aware that no matter how many people are booked in your room, you only get free breakfast for two of them.

We were supposed to have two queen sized beds, but got two doubles. The fridge beeped like an alarm clock all night long, it was soft enough to make you think it was a clock in an adjoining room, but at 3am after not sleeping a wink we found it was the fridge and unplugged it. The food was not very good, but the breakfast was OK. The recreational facilities wer great and my kids loved it just for that. Also kids can eat for free.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn with my son on New Years Eve, I live in Somerville so we stayed there to do something fun like go swimming.The pool was not open during the day the hours were 6:30 AM -10:00 AM and 4:00 PM - till 9:00. My plan was to eat breakfast, we did it was OK only because I had a free coupon for breakfast other wise it was terrible. Than we were going to swim before checking out. My 11 year old son went to the front desk to see what time the pool was going to open and they told him it was closing in ten minutes. He and I was very disappointed and checked out before the check out time. The manager said we could come back to use the pool at 4:00. I just wish they mention the pool hours before I booked and paid in full for the room.

We had a great time at the hotel they even let us bring our grandkids to swim in the pool.

Worst stay I ever had !!!! I do not recamend this hotel to anyone

Very poor service. I had to ask four times for them to turn the heat on in the exercise room at 11AM on Sunday. Someone finally came over at 11:30 and the problem still wasn't fixed. My internet was out and it couldn't be restored and their business center consisted of one computer in the main lobby which was in constant use. The hotel bar was closed Saturday night for a private party. We checked in around 8pm Saturday night and no one to help with our luggage. I've had good luck with other Holiday Inns but not this one.

The hotel is clearly falling apart. The curtains and furnishings are full of holes and stained. The bathroom and fittings were filthy.

This was a pleasant surprise. Staying in down town boston was just way too expensive. So, I booked this hotel "outside" Boston for 1/3 the price. The difference was only 4 miles. I could walk to the subway and be downtown in about 20 minutes. Restaurant was good, people were great. Just try to get a room facing away from the main street. It is a bit noisy. Will go to this hotel again.

I enjoyed my stay and it was a convenient 10 minute taxi ride to the city. I didn't explore the surrounding neighbourhood. The hotel was just a base for two day tours that I did and the location worked well for that.

over priced, sink did not drain. I stayed at the same hotel over the winterfor half the price

The overall service at the hotel was great . I booked a single room for my parents and I (basically two king-size beds). One unpleasant surprise however was to discover at breakfast time that if you book a 2 beds room for more than 2 persons, and that you pay for 'breakfast included', the breakfast is actually NOT included for the 3rd of 4th person that stay in the room.

There's nothing that was specifically wrong with the hotel, I was simply expecting more for the amount I paid. The first night we tried to get onto the wifi, only to find that the instructions in their little booklet were complete nonsense. Had to go back down to the lobby and ask for the username and password. Secondly I requested a room with a single king sized bed and couch. The room I got was a smaller room with two double beds. It's a short walk down to the Orange Line which was one of the main reasons I picked this hotel. The hotel had a lack of vending machines that was a little frustrating. I went out searching for them one night, only to find the only one they had had chips and shampoo, and there were no drinks. Even then, I tried to see if the front desk or restaurant could make change and they couldn't. And then every morning the cleaning staff would come by at like 9 in the morning. I don't know what they were thinking, but we like to sleep in while on vacation. And even with the sign on the door they'd keep coming back. So all in all the service was mediocre, the quality of the room was just average, and while the hotel was not horrible, it was very overpriced.

I was very please to stay in this Hotel. Rooms are pretty good, the service was all right so I will definitely refer this hotels to my others friend who visiting Boston. Prices are good compare to the rest.

Holiday Inn-Somerville provided a timely solution to the sudden rise of hotel rates with the autumn tourist season as the rates literally doubled at other hotels. The stay was pleasant and comfortable and the staff was helpful. We used our GPS extensively because of the tangle of streets in a largely industrial where the hotel is located. We have stayed here before and we will return. Thank you.

Girl at check in desk, made us feel like everything was an effort. She was reluctant to answer our questions about services and facilities. 2 lamps in the room did not work but maintenance could not fix them or replace them, so we had very little light. The windows did not have solid curtains that covered the windows, so we had the city lights shining in all night, then in the morning, the early morning sun blazed in! Dinner in the restaurant was sent back uneaten (they did not charge for it). Breakfast next morning was edible - if you could get served. Service was very slow, then part of breakfast arrived, impossibly sow to get rest, even after many requests, cutlery forgotten. It was, however, walking distance to a train station a few stops from the centre of Boston.

It was fine. The staff was friendly. The breakfast bar was poor and certainly not worth the $11.00 it cost.
