Americas Best Value Inn Alamogordo - آلاموجوردو

Needs much maintenance. Staff needs training in public relations. We changed rooms twice and still no a/c. We removed the filters and they were so full of dirt I couldn't believe. We were treated horribly by staff when we requested a fan. The hotel smells very musty.

The hotel is older and upkeep is not up-to-date/current/modern. Mattresses are old, springy and I could actually feel the indent of where many people have slept, I almost had to sleep at an angle across the bed as to not roll off in the middle of the night and the pillows were very flat, I had to use all three to make one good pillow. The back entrance door has a box to use your room key to get into the hotel, this door was never locked and no key was needed to enter the building. Window had no screen. Pool was drained. Continental breakfast was sub-par.

This is a cheap hotel but good for that purpose. If you want a decent and clean place to stay, this is it. Staff mistakenly checked us out the day after we checked in and called us at 1030pm to have us "pay for our room" but all was settled the next morning. Decent quick breakfast. Best about this hotel is you can walk to Chili's, Golden Corral, Applebees, and Denny's is across the street. Comfortable bed and pillows, though they didn't actually change our sheets...just made our bed over and over.

Nice enough room but the vending machines didn't work and there was no where near buy to get any liquid refreshment just tap water. I was a late check in and was happy with the staff but could not get a response on where to get something to drink?

This hotel was nice for an inexpensive overnight stay. It's very convenient to White Sands, and the breakfast was nice: real milk, decent coffee, not just carbs available. The room was definitely no frills, but that should be expected for the price range.

There is an AppleBee's in same parking lot and a Chili's in easy driving distance.

Good points: clean enough, friendly staff, computer with internet available in the lobby, good breakfast. Bad points: the television faded in and out and you could hear people talking over a CB on the television; the wake-up call came an hour early and then they did not call back for the real wake up call.
