Toronto Don Valley Hotel and Suites - تورونتو

It took 3 times to get a room that didn't stink! I ordered a fridge and microwave and it never came. After asking several times i was told they were all given out to other rooms 2 nights prior. I reminded them I ordered mine 2 weeks prior they said they it was first come first serve. There is no elevator except for a keyed wheelchair one, which they refused us to use to go to the large ballroom on the lower level - many stairs. My knee was in pain by the end of the conference. They are understaffed i the cafe and so food takes forever. I would not recommend this hotel, it sucks big time!!!

When I went to this hotel around 9:40pm,the receptionist cannt find my information for over 40 min. finally,she got it,but not any double beds room left.she gave me a key for one king bed room,and add a temporary bed.so it was really a bad reservation for this hotel.

Coming south off Don Valley Parkway, I found the hotel very difficult to find. The map provided on the website was not detailed enough to show the complex turns required to get to the hotel. Would have been helpful to know to turn off at Wynford Dr instead of Eglinton.

This Hotel had better days. Altought the rooms were OK. The breakfast restaurant was basic and the staff happy to see you leave. The inside pool and hot tub was so so. The room patio door need isolation (noise and wind) and the corridor carpet need refresh.

Not a bad hotel, but not very clean. The rooms needed updating. It was close to the city center which was I needed to be able to conduct business efficiently. I would recommend it if it were cheaper. For the price the quality should have been greatere.

I booked a single "king-size" bedroom but they gave me double bedroom instead .. I informed the reception employee and showed her that my booking is for single bedroom not double but she refused to change the room due to unavailability. Location: it's far away from Eglinton subway station .. It'll cost $15 dollars in taxi to go the station and if you want to take the bus it's $3 and takes usually more than 15 minutes to reach the subway station .. The usual waiting time for the bus is around 5-10 minutes .. So it takes 20-25 minutes total to the subway station

A good, clean place to stay and close to Sunnyside Hospital where my husband had surgery. A little hard to find as the address is Eginton but the entrance is not on Eglinton, nor can you see it from there. Also disappointed that the hotel did not provide room service or a restaurant where we could get breakfast in the morning. Otherwise I would recommend

A wonderful oasis, tucked up on a hill. Look for the hotel sign on Wynford Drive exit. You can be as active as you want, swimming, walking, exercise room or the quiet bar area. Good food, good service. Shopping and restaurants in the surrounding area are about 5 km. east of the hotel.

when i arrived they could not find my reservation, as it turned out because they had spelled my name wrong., My companion and I had asked for 2 beds and were given 1 king sized, not once, but twice. When a male employee brought up keys to another room he blamed the mistake on the women. I was assured the internet was available, but when I tried to get on I wasn't allowed. When i phoned down to find out why the same male told me to bring my computer down to the desk. When I got down there, one of the females told me she could have told me over the phone how to fix it. There was supposed to be an indoor pool and whirlpool. The pool was under construction and when I went down to investigate the whirlpool, the door into that part closed after me and wouldn't reopen to let me out. I had to phone up and have someone come and open the door. Other than that...

I am a light sleeper and for someone like that this Hotel is not the place to stay. I heard people yelling out in the hallways, banging on doors and partying all night long. I had a very restless night and would not stay there again.

The hotel is good as far as clealiness and comfort of the rooms are concerned. the staff was friendly and helpful. The negative thing is the location. It takes almost one hour to get to the downtown during the traffic hours. The other thing is that there is hardly a place to eat and the breakfast is not included. there are a very few restaurants within walking distance. If you just want to stay overnight then i would recommend it. But there are downtown hotels which offer a free breakfast for the same price if you book in advance

Quick check-in, close to highway. Decent price but room still had bad cigarette smell.

Hotel was 'tired' and in dire need of a make -over. Door to balcony could not lock. Not worth the price

Driving on Eglington Ave is busy at the best of times. There wasn't visible signage to get to the hotel. I had to turn around twice and get directions once to finally locate the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with the decor. There was a large group (conference??) checking in at the same time which made it quite loud and seemed a bit unorganized. Didn't expect to have to pay for parking. The room was quite nice, beds were very comfy and we had a great sleep. Ice machine worked very well. Overall, it was pleasant for what we needed.

A totally unpretentious hotel in the European style of large hotels. Simple but comfortable, easy-going service and serene setting. Not much to do in terms of seeing things in the neigbourhood, but safe areas to walk, and easy to get to downtown Toronto. Well worth the price and the drive.

Very nice hotel clean beautiful pool greAt accessible parking . Front desk clerk very nice, great looking loby with piano. Located just a few min by car, from down town and close to restaurants and stores. Just a little complicated to get on site! If you miss the entrance you must go back on high way to get back in! Great hotel would stay again!

close to shopping and to highways and attractions.

Had trouble finding the entrance to this hotel with GPS as it kept sending me by it but not to the hotel. Parking was available but somewhat confusing at first as well. Rooms were adequate. Staff very nice and accommodating. Balcony was in shrubs and had no railing, no chairs and looked out on parking lot only so not really much to enjoy there. Piano in lobby and excellent pool facilities. Breakfast not great but only $5 per person if you get voucher at front desk. Exchanged money for us and gave us directions to get to where we were headed. I would stay there again now that I know my way around.

FIrst off the location was hard to find. It is tucked away a litle under the bridge and back a little. Once found getting to it was easer. There was pizza boxes and some glasses in the hallway when we checked in our room. The next morning when I got up, those pizza boxes where still there and so where the glasses. Now not so bad right? Well they were quick enough to put a bill under my door but not able to pick up those boxes from the night before? Also the T.V. remote was not working when I got there.I called and told the front desk that it was not working, they said " We will send someone rate up" 45 muintes later and a grubmling stomach of my 8 year old they were still not there, so we went down to teh front desk. They called again so I had to go back up to the room and wait again. this time only 5 minutes... There were two phones in the room. Only one worked. Of course it wasn't the one on the desk but beside the bed. All in all not a good stay. My son wants to go to hotels and is always eager to go. even he said, "Dad this hotel is no so nice" I will not stay here again and certainly not recommend it.

The only negative thing I can say about our experience at this hotel was the fact that the address on the website is not the entrance to the hotel. The entrance is on a completely different street. I used Google Maps with 1250 Eglinton E and not being from Toronto at all found myself in an idustrial area of Brampton....I had no idea that it was such a long street. GPS on phone wouldn't work, 2 calls to the hotel, 4 different people for directions and a map later(all in rush hour) ...finally found the hotel. Besides that found it a nice place to stay, it was clean, quiet and a great location for what we intended to do. I would stay there again, probably next summer.

The breakfast buffet is excellent value. The indoor and outdoor swimming pools are exactly what children and adults alike crave for in the heat of summer. The Ontario Science Centre is only a 5 minute drive from the hotel. The hotel staff is courteous and obliging. The shabby condition of the corridors leading to the rooms belie the cleanliness of the rooms themselves.

Close to downtown with out downtown prices nor costs for parking. Good rooms great staff. will stay there again..

The hotel was very good but not located close to downtown Toronto and the tourist sites. It is great if you have a car. The front desk was great! Hot tub didn't seem very clean but overall the hotel was great for the price.

nice hotel good rooms nice location for us we asked for better pillow,could not give us anything else......surprising in a hotel to have one kind of pillow

we felt the parking fees were too high

I went for work. It was approximately 7 miles from downtown, but taxi fare was still 35 USD. one way. I consider that a bit steep. Free wifi was good and the breakfast was average, but that's not bad for $5. For me the rooms were ok and the room service was relatively cheap. One of the elevators had an issue with the door so I just avoided it all together. Overall, it was worth the price. The location to downtown, though only 10-15 mins away was still actually....out of the way.

The hotel was hard to get to, because it is in a kind of suburban sprawl type neighborhood with big streets and no obvious landmarks. You need a very good map/directions and some patience if you get turned around at all. The carpet in the room was really dirty.

Hotel do not have a safe or a refrigator furniture in room furniture need to be replace.

First I want to say the pictures online are very deceiving on what the hotel looks like the jacuzzi dirty walls yellow and the rooms are basic (that is why you dont get a full picture of the room because there is not much to it). The only upgraded area of hotel is the lobby. The room is basic no flat screen TV's. If u need towels bring your own everynite they never had enough towels for everyone in my room. If someone is showering or using the toilet in the room beside us u can hear the pipes in the walls. Overall not impressed with the hotel!!! Anesthetically needed work paint job,bubbles from water leakage in walls,even get charged for local calls in toronto so I never used the phone in my room. There is a charge for parking at this dirty 2 star hotel that is not even downtown. If i had read reviews like mine I would have never stayed at this hotel...You get what you pay for the price was right now I know why...

My family and I recently stayed at the Don Valley Hotel in Toronto. We chose this location because it was a good value for the money compared to the downtown options. The parking fees are reasonable, although parking is only outdoors. The WiFi is free in the rooms and the hotel has a restaraunt inside. The rooms were typical of a 25 year old building, worn but mostly clean. The good: The room was big enough for the 3 of us and it had cable and free WiFi and it seemed to be clean. The sheets and the beds were very nice and we were told there is a variety of pillows available. The fresh fruit flavored water in the lobby is a very nice touch and the staff was very friendly. There is a Tim Horton's within walking distance. The bad: The pools (indoor and outdoor) were dirty. Not dirty like they had scum along the walls, dirty like full of debris, hair and even not one, but two bandaids at the edge and in the water. Needless to say I never ventured into the hot tub. The location is far from downtown if you plan on seeing the sites. I would not imagine how they can charge a parking fee when they are not near downtown. The pools are not only dirty but they are available to be used by non-guests for a fee. This could be a legitimate reason they were so dirty but the staff didn't seem to care. My summation is the hotel would not be a bad location for a quick couple night stay if you spent a lot of time away from the hotel, but it is no means a destination hotel. It is a decent place to rest your head for not a lot of money in a fairly expensive city.

The Toronto Don Valley Hotel and Suites is well located, out of city but near enough for a short drive..approx 10 mins away... to enjoy the flavours and offerings of Yonge Street, both for shopping and night life! The reservation staff are very hospitable and are always willing to ensure a pleasant and comfortable stay. The $5 for the buffet breakfast is a plus to the guest.....a steal of a deal!

I've stayed in a lot of hotels in a lot of different places and never have I experienced such indifference and disorganization of service. This is not a place I will ever stay at again nor would I ever recommend it to my worst enemy. My car being vandalized in the parking lot was the icing on the cake of a dismal experience. Hotels are a dime a dozen in Toronto, there are lots of better places to stay for better bang for your buck.

Disgusting- no air in the 1st room, second room was just as bad. Smelly feet scent. dead bugs on walls, everything was dirty. The walls are paper thin and could not even stay our 2 nights . lost our money, we had to leave imidiately. The staff was rude . We could not even find the Hotel ..Garages around did not even know of this hotel. We were even charged 13$ a night for parking. They allow huge dogs in this Hotel which doesn't help the smell. Very very unhappy.

From what the pictures looked like, you'd think it was a lot nicer, but the basic things needed were extra charge. There was no breakfast included, it's extra a person, there was no mini fridge in the room, it was extra a night, they don't include parking, it's extra a day, like really? Come on now. I could've just spent the extra little bit and had a nicer hotel, and better service. Had some blood on our mattress cover, interesting. The view from our room was the parking lot. Splendid for a place calling themselves a "urban resort". It was urban alright.

I just wanted to say that my recent stay at the Don Valley Hotel was very enjoyable.The staff was excellent as well as the accomadations.The hotel was beautiful,the maid service was very good,and the location was very closed to where I neeeded to be.Overall my stay was extremely pleasant, and would reccomend it to anyone wanting to visit Toronto.

I don't know how anyone could stay at this hotel and not complain about it. The ground floor are infested with millipedes and the other rooms have old filthy carpets, saggy beds and old stained sheets. It was like living in squalor. I saw three rooms in total, the ground floor rooms were the worst, but the other rooms were only marginally better. This is a hotel to be avoided at all costs. Upon complaining to the management the response was that we had paid already.

A very clean and comfortable hotel. We stayed for two nights and we were very satisfied. The location is not the best (we travelled by coach and public transportation and we had to change 2 means of transportation from downtown) but at least it is a quiet location. Good value for the price we paid. I recommend it.

I travel frequently for work mostly going to chain type hotels. This was a holiday in Toronto for my Wife, me and our 1 year old. The hotel is far away from the city (1h+ by public transportation) and charges extra for parking your car. It's not very clean and one day they didn't clean our room so we had to call to get it done. Breakfast is bad and when one morning one of the other guest threw up on the floor they just moved a table on top of the spot and let the stench spread (I'm not making this up..!) The one thing that looks nice is the reception area, which was what made me book the room. Chain hotels usually have a very modest reception area, but the things that are important: Clean room and nice breakfast are under control - the opposite was the case for DV Hotel & Suites. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
