Quality Inn Altoona - ألتونا

Our stay was more or less satisfactory. One lack, the TV controller did not operate. And the double bed was too small. The room easily could have accommodated a more comfortable queen. Another lack, the check-in clerk did not advise that the cut-off for breakfast was 9 am. Nor did we see any sign in the office nor in the room. Consequently, we nearly had no breakfast.However, the morning clerk did prevail on the kitchen to provide us with cakes and orange juice. Otherwise, the room was quiet and the shower was pleasant although lacking grab bars (important for eldsters)

Walls are very thin so take ear plugs but the price was good

If you like sleeping with dust around you, this is the place. The linens smelled like they had not been washed in weeks. The hotel it self could use a paint job deperately. Renovations are defenitely needed here for the prices they are charging.

This hotel is horrible DO NOT STAY HERE. The staff is rude, when we told them our stay was horrible all they did was stare at us. The bed was hard, old and noisy. The sofa bed was bad beyond description. When we went to the counter because there was only one bed in our room, we were basically told "sucks to be you". The clerk did not even attempt to help us. There are no elevators, and we had to carry our belongings up our room on the 2nd floor even though there were plenty of rooms available on the first floor. It was also like a remake of "The Birds" in the pool area. This hotel is not convient to freeways either. The "breakfast" was not worth eating, there was no protien on the bar.

The bathroom had mildew on the shower curtain. Dingy overall appearance. This hotel is in need of an overhaul.

The hotel is not in great shape and the room left a lot to be desired (a bit dirty, some things missing, some things not working) but it was really cheap - including a continental breakfast for 4. In sum, I got what I paid for. If you want a cheap room, you could do worse. If you want something better, you will pay $20-30 more per night. The hotel is off the main road a bit and can be difficult to find if you don't see their sign. It is next to the VA Hospital.

Can not tell anyone how disgusting this place was. I have never in all my life see such a run down filthy establishment. Should be closed down. Seriously Hotel.com ?????

I know from reading all the reviews some have commented that the hotel is not clean or up to date , we have stayed a few times in the past few years and found it was average , and did have some noise issues , we found this year being on the second floor was our best bet , since we found cleaner rooms and not much noise from the bar . Not that we had crowds this time . it was not busy , the pool was clean & the people staying are always freindly as well as staff .

I guess you get what you pay for. The area of the hotel was fine, however the hotel did look a little run down. Our room seemed to be old and have that distinctive old smell to it. I thought it had a fridge in the room,but it did not. No problem we just filled up the cooler with ice from the ice machine. If you are looking for a place to stay in Altoona I would not recommend this one unless all you care about is a place to lie your head.

This Quality Inn was originally built as a Holiday Inn in the 1960s. The rooms have been updated some, but the vintage is still evident: narrow stairs, no elevators, curtains that don't quite cover the windows, small bathrooms, poor ventilation. The hotel entrance sign wasn't lighted, making finding the place at night difficult. The long driveway from Pleasant Valley Boulevard has no traffic light; except at times of low traffic (Sunday AM, late at night), plan to make a right turn if you don't want to be trapped for long periods. Not the worst motel in the area, but not the best either.

My wife and I stayed overnight.Everyone was very nice.Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.Breakfast was good and had a good selection.Would stay here again. Thanks.

the mattresses on the bed in my room was terrible,did not sleep very well .

the dye on the comforters came off on our clothing. when we told the acting manager he gave us a measly $20 refund for the clothes. didnt offer to lean them & never gave us new blankets. some lights didnt work. it was a non smoking room but had ciggarette holes in blankets & lamp shade! check in & check out time is ridiculous if u stay 1 night u cant even stay 24 hrs! would never go to a quality inn again

The hotel is in a old building that needs a lot of work. The bathroom door did not close all the way. The shower curtain was ripped. The wireless internet worked, but at the slowest possible speed and barely held the connection.

I checked in the hotel at 7pm and left by midnight because it was so disgusting. The beds were old and smelled musty. Everything was at least 20 years old in the hotel. The curtains were dirty. DO NOT stay.

Pool area is not kept up and plants are overgrown, wooden deck is falling apart. Not much maintenance going on there. Breakfast was ok.
