The AC kept shutting off when it got down to a certain temp. but it was still hot in the room. The bed and the blankets were not the most comfortable.

Cons: it is IMPOSSIBLE to sleep as the rooms have no CURTAINS! it's bright the entire time!; had Internet trouble, nobody cared; UNDERSTAFFED, the staff is very very slow and negligent; you get a 10% discount coupon for their restaurant, which is never open!; the breakfast is disgusting (pure grease, bacon and pancakes); the coffee is gross (black water); my phone didn't work, no one cared, used my cell phone to reach the lobby, no one picked up. Good times. Pros: considering this place is in the middle of nowhere, it's nice that there is a Chinese restaurant attached to it. It's a bit pricey ($16 per dish) for the kind of food u get -- very greasy. p.s. I am still astonished at how the windows in the room are so huge and there are no curtains!!! It's sunny bright always, no matter what. wtf?

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Located next to Interstate 15, I was a little concerned about noise -but needn't have worried. The hotel is clean, quiet, and nicely appointed. There was some minor construction underway, but it was barely noticeable, and there was no noise to contend with. I know this area of San Diego fairly well, and expected just a "place to sleep," but it was much nicer than that. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

I was really satisfied with the service and the overall comfort of the room. The location to the base was really good and there was a 24HR Fitness just .3 miles down the street which was really convienent. I would recommend the place for someone else. Try the next door chinese resturant, its really good.

Decent hotel with moderately friendly staff. Restaurant was closed for remodel when we stayed.

This hotel was much better than I anticipated. The room was clean and comfortable. They even had complimentary water bottles in the room. The hotel was much more than I thought I would get for the price. I will definitely stay there again.

The hotel we stayed at was very neat, clean and close to my daughter and son in law's house.....would highly recommend to my friends

My wife stayed all day at the hotel and she could not rest peacefully because of the noise of the freeway and surrounding streets. My only complain were the curtains, which for some reason could not be closed completely so light would wake us up early in the morning. Other than that it was ok for a short stay.

Restaurant next door was very good. Hotel was very nice overall.

The hotel was the usual, clean, comfortable. I liked that they had BBW tolietries. However, it appears all the staff were hired on the day I arrived. No one seemed to know what they were doing, further, they certainly did not care. I waited to check out for 15 min, NO one was in line. One lady said she would be back, and took another guest on a grand tour of the hotel. A long telephone court stretched into a closet where I could hear another employee arguing with someone on the phone. Another employee walked up, then walked away. When he came back a second time, I said "Can someone please help me check out?" He said, I don't do that, and went to retrieve the phone lady. Its nice to know that even lawyers in disguise get treated poorly if they think you are not important. Wouldn't stay again for lack of service.

Would stay again, comfortable, nice, clean, updated. Only there one night.

/we stayed here one night to go to san diego safari park. The room was not so clean and we paid for the breakfast buffet 9.99 which was not so good. The food was bad...carpet was not clean...

Very clean in good location priced well

booked a room with 2 double beds but when we got there they put us in a room with 1 king bed. front desk staffer was not very apologetic or friendly about it despite our obvious disappointment with the change in reservation. but otherwise the stay was comfortable.

First room had no A/C, at the beginning of the hot summer season. Called the front desk and they said that the only room they had left were smoking rooms. Us having no choice, other than sleeping in the car, took it. Unavoidable conflict but highly inconvenient.

Place was not clean. Room was clean but the place was dirty and very depressing.

Not much around the hotel, but the bed was soooooo comfortable. I slept so well. Clean. Perfect. Only a short drive to the zoo and the USS Midway.

Other than the door knob in the room, the circumstances, this is a fine hotel. Employees are great.

This was my first stay at this property. It will not be my last. They care about their guests. I particularly like their complimentary shuttle service. Everything was as expected. Free internet is a real plus.

The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was the fact that they didn't have a free breakfast like they do at the other hotels that I stay at. And those were even less expensive as this hotel. I think you pay more for the name and the nice lobby.

Hotel was alright, with a couple of defects like any other hotel. I did not like the no brand name tire store close to the hotel, it looked like a car chop. It was a good hotel to stay in with the family.

Hotel prices are in alignment with the overall satisfaction however there are some concerns. The hotel has a musty smell in the rooms. the windows only open a few inches and it's hard for the fresh air to come in. The towels need to be more soft. Rooms are kind of small and not much free space. Location is a little out of the way -have to drive out of your way to get back from the Interstate 5 but the price of the hotel makes up for the extra time and gasoline. Good points. The pool is a good size and well maintained. They have a small work out room for exercise and a good happy hour. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The employees are friendly and accomodating. My teen nieces really enjoyed the free internet as they used their phones to access this services. Beds are very comfortable. Overall was satisfied.

1. There is no room safe. In the modern world you travel with computers, cameras, iPod, smart phone. When you leave you want too lock these items up, but there is no safe in this hotel. 2. There is no vent in the bathroom, thus when you shower it gets very humid in the room. The window is bolted so it will only open a few inches. Therefore, you need to prop open the bathroom door and turn on the air conditioning to keep it tolerable when showering. These are not the problems I would expect in a hotel at this price.

Most everything was great about the hotel. Cleanliness, location, and price were great! However, the "heated" pool and the "heated" spa were far from what was expected. One of the hotel personnel did turn up the heat for the spa, but to no avail. The spa was still cold as was the pool. The service in the hotel was great! However, because of a holiday the room service closed early without any prior announcement.

Overall, very satified. Everything was clean and working. To bad the weather was too cold to use the pool & spa.

In town for the Top Gun Tourney. Had problems checking in because when booking the room on-line, there was no option for bed options. Since i put down 4 persons [2 adults; 2 kids] I assumed that we would get two beds. When I was shopping, I saw that the Best western allowed you to choose bed type, so i was a little concerned. When we checked in, we were told we had a king bed, we explained that we could not sleep four persons in one king bed so they offered us their only available accommodations, a king bed with a fold out couch in a SMOKING ROOM. They did offer to move us the next day but for that night, we had to take the smoking room. Although we started off on a bad food, the very good service made up for the internet glitch. When we asked for towels, they were up within minutes and the room was very clean even though it was a smoking room. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the kids didnt complain too much about the fold out. Great service turned a bad situation into a pleasant weekend.
