Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District - فيلادلفي

Very convenient hotel - clean and comfortable, with a very pleasant staff . It was the perfect place to stay while attending a tradeshow at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. I would recommend this for families on vacation as well as business people attending conferences and trade shows.

Very pleasant renovated room, very comfortable bed, nice bathroom and very clean. I had breakfast at restaurant, and wanted freshly cooked eggs. I was served cold scrambled eggs and bacon from the Buffet. This was for 14.00. Therefore totally ick. I didn't have time to get them to return the order and remake it. I felt totally ripped off by the breakfast service.

Terrible service. Definitely I would never stay at this hotel and I would think twice to stay in any Wyndham properties from now on.

The internet said they had a spa but the staff practically laughed when I inquired about it

room was clean, nice beds and pillows. the cleaning lady was a snot, she complained about smoking even though i asked for a non smoking room. have to pay for parking but i avoided that by parking in south philly, about a half an hour walk from the hotel. sink was too small, no room to put all of my makeup. awesome location, the main reason i paid this much. i was in walking distance from penns landing, dave and busters, many clubs and restaurants. also not too far from south st.

Location, service, room all excellent. Hotel.com friendly, professional, helpful. this is the place for access to Old City, Philadelphia. Everything within a short walk.

Very pleased with my stay. Desk and housekeeping staff did what I asked. Very nice location, quieter than some others. Clean and comfortable!

To this hotels' management: while you might think its good business to not spend $100 in wages to have an extra person on the front desk at check-in, the fact that I and everyone else in the line get really annoyed at waiting half an hour in the queue, increases the chance of more than $100 worth of BAD publicity generated by reviews like this! Beyond the long lines, some other cons: - rooms tired and Grotty (marks on walls). - no breakfast included - no fridge - as seems to be the norm, hotels.com guest gets assigned the worst room in the class (2nd floor with view directly out to ugly roof/air conditioning units) - other guests in front of us appeared to get welcome gift bags. We did not. - $25 to self park - are you kidding?? Positives: - location (close to historical attractions) - staff were friendly - wireless was free and working Even discounted, this hotel is not great value. We would not stay here again.

Well situate for historical district. But very tired and service surly at reception. Outrageous price for condition of hotel. Rooms nice size and cleaning staff pleasant.

Stayed here past June when was a Holiday Inn. Loved the location. But small problems exist. 1) booked a King Bed room and was given a double w/out being warned - was told could switch next night. (had similar problems when it was a Holiday inn) 2)very uncertain when things were opened or not because of conflicting signage in elevators, rooms and posted on doors. I,e. gift shop apparently only place to buy sodas but had very limited hours and nothing past 1pm when I was there. No SODA vending machines.. Plus side VERY CLEAN ROOMS- they are just starting to show their age but it appears they are just about to be changed. Good friendly doormen and housekeeping staff. - I would stay there again.

The location was ideal as a base for touring the city. The only issues we had were from road noise and that some mechanical devices were not working properly (payment machine for parking, hair blow-dryer) but maintenance people were dealing with those matters promptly.

I stayed a week at the Wyndham Philadelphia. The hotel has recently been taken over and plans are afoot for an extensive makeover. The building was just a little bit tired, but the staff and the spacious room made up for that. I was surprised about the limited cable offerings on TV. But this location is close to everything - the historic district is a fantastic area to explore, and the hop on hop off buses are nearby. A short 15 minute walk to City Hall puts you in the centre of town, and Philadelphia has a lot to offer. I ate in the bar a couple of times and the service and friendly banter was excellent - felt at home. The need for an extra night was easily accommodated and managed, even though the hotel was full.

We were extremely happy with the location of the hotel. It was so close to everything. Literally next door to the U.S. Mint and Christ Church graveyard. We parked our car and walked every where. Customer service was good. Whenever I called with a question they found the answer, and they were able to give us directions.

Good value and close to many good restaurants.

1. we booked for 3 persons, we got 2 double bed and asked for a cot bed, they wont give us a cot bed due to a fire hazard, one of us have to sleep on a floor. 2. there is no hot water, we have to move to another room at 3:00 am. 3. Teenagers hanging out at the elevator lobby on a 3rd floor till 2am.

Couldn't find it at first - the Wyndham moved a month before and the old address was still listed on the Wyndham Website - fortunately it was only a couple blocks away. Check-in was slow - only one desk clerk on duty and she appeared to be new to the job. It's an old property (formerly a Holiday Inn) but nicely renovated and clean.

Great hotel to stay at for the price. If you are planning on spending most of your time out and around that part of town then this hotel is definitely worth it... I've stayed here for New Years Eve and a few random weekend getaways with friends... The hotel is old but the rooms are big and clean.

Clean and comfortable bed; reasonably quiet room; free and fast wifi; clean room; very central location; quiet block. Hotel a bit worn seeming, but friendly staff. Onsite parking garage. $25/day.

This hotel is located in a great place for seeing the historical sights of downtown Philadelphia. When we tried to check in to our room at 10:15pm, they said our room wasn't available yet because it needed to be cleaned. We had to wait 45 minutes before we could check into our room. Did I mention it was 10:15PM?!? They did give us free parking to compensate, but to me, it was unacceptable.

Very good staff, good location, nice Hotel. What I dislike was that I did not receive credit or points on my Windham Rewards account, because I booked this Hotel by Hotels.com, in order to get points, I was supposed to book this reservation directly with Wyndham Hotel, that was a down for me.

Very satisfactory all around and the best place in Philadelphia. The only minor problem was hardly any water pressure in bathroom sink. Otherwise we'll stay there again!

OUR STAY WAS WONDERFUL. I WISH IS COULD HAVE GOTTEN TWO QUEEN BEDS AND OPPOSED TO TWO FULL SIZE BEDS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE. THE LOCATION WAS GREAT..

My room on the 4th floor was very quiet and comfortable. I enjoyed walking to Reading Market, Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and numerous wonderful restaurants. I traveled alone, and felt very comfortable during my stay at the Wyndham.

It was refreshing to be in a hotel that still has great hospitality proceedures. The Welcome Hospitality Basket was a pleasant surprise.

I liked the hotel and its location. Service in general was good. I would like to see parking fees to be waived and/or at least a continental breakfast to be served.

Clean room. Heat/air conditioner is loud and walls are thin. Can hear everything in hallway and when others open/shut their doors. Location is great. 11am check-out time is early. Parking is reasonable.

Stayed at this hotel as a stopping point on a trip through the east coast. It was a nice hotel with onsite parking and the rooms were big. Definitely would recommend!

Two blocks from everything. Clean. Service is a bit slow and no bellboys to help with luggage. Seems like it was just taken over by the Wyndham. Parking $ 25.- and breakfast is $ 14.- but is was mediocre. For the price it is worth it. Would stay again.

We had a wonderful time. Great location. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!!!

Our room was not very clean, especially the carpet and bathroom. The hotel itself needs a serious renovation- you could tell it was an old hotel that had been recently bought out. The elevators had been vandalized with someone writing with permanent marker on the walls. All of this isn't the worst of it though. The worst is when we were woken up from a very loud pounding sound. When I called the front desk to let them know, they said that we were in a room right below the gym and someone was running on a treadmill. After waiting for an hour or more I called back down to the front desk because the noise was unbearable. The clerk said that they would come up to listen. A half hour later they came up just when the person got off the machine and the noise stopped. The desk manager seemed like we were complaining for no reason. I asked when the gym opened and he said 10 am which would have been impossible since the noise started around 8 am. All they offered was to not charge us for our parking (25$) and we could switch rooms. Thank God we were checking out that day. I can't recommend this place until they fix it up and move the gym!

Great place to stay in the heart of Philadelphia's Historic District

THis is the most convenient hotel I feel in the City of Philadelphia. You can walk EVERYWHERE and see EVERYTHING...AWESOME!!!

This Wyndham is so new even the cabbies didn't know that it had changed over from the old Holiday Inn. recently refurbished; very comfortable room. The restaurant has some catching up to do to match its Wyndham peers, but in general, it was a friendly, cordial place to stay.

The price and location are so tempting, but ultimately the cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel are lacking. My room was cold and the heater was broken. There was trash on the floor and crumbs on the tables. For me, the low cost was not worth the condition of the room and hotel overall.
