The room was nice, comfortable bed, very quiet, but no mini fridge or micro wave, which I found odd. The room was bigger than average but the bath area was tiny and cramped. A foot or two taken from the sleeping area and used for the bath would not have been missed.

Great stay as always and love this hotel for its proximity to downtown without the large price tag! Staff was very pleasant as always. Always enjoy our stay here !

Shuttle service to downtown was a nice feature.

This is an older hotel and we have stayed there several times in the past. This time, it was over Easter weekend the one of the two elevators was broken for at least a day and a half of the 3 days we were there. We found out from talking to one of the maintenance workers that the panel in the elevator had to be replaced. The elevator repair company provided the panel, but the maintenance crew at the hotel replaced it in the elevator. This may be common practice, but I don't find that to be reassuring. But the real problems were at the restaurant. One morning, two of the coffee cups at the table were dirty. The plate I picked up at the buffet had dried food on it -- this was in the clean stack. Another morning, my cereal bowl had a large chip out of the side. The coffee pots were always dirty on the outside -- were they ever washed on the inside? One morning, there were no plates at all on the buffet and no silverware on the tables. My husband noticed that when clearing a table, the waitstaff would sort out what appeared to be clean silverware, wipe it off and put it in a bin. They would then hand this back out to the next diner. He specifically asked someone for CLEAN silver, and the server went back to the kitchen and came out with a different set. We are assuming they actually were clean. But if all this is going on where we could see, what is happening back in the kitchen where we can't see? As convenient as this hotel is to family, we will not be staying there again.

The room was nice. View was great of the river. Restaurant/bar on top floor had a great Easter buffet, the service was good and the view of Charleston is spectacular! Also close to beach and downtown. A bus takes and picks up downtown. Great if you're trying to avoid parking hassle and enjoying libations.

We would definately go back. Nice and clean,friendly staff and good location as it is not far to downtown and all must see sights. Shuttle bus great but would suggest having it pick up every hour rather than every 2 hrs.Very reasonable price considering services offered and location.

Room smelled of cigarette smoke as did the mattress. It was not as clean as I had hoped. Our room overlooked a dumpster so the view was disappointing as well. The staff was very friendly but I would not stay there again.

Close to everything in Charleston. We had a nice view of the marsh and marina out of our window. They had the sliding door to the balcony locked and only one elevator was working during our stay. Other than that, no complaints. There is no reason to pay twice as much for a room "in downtown Charleston" it took literally five minutes to get anywhere downtown. Next time we go back to Charleston, I think we will stay here again.

The views from the hotel were incredible. The City, the sun and moon made for a memorable stay. Shuttle to old town was convenient and was as good as being there. Easy to find and location was well suited to accessing the whole area. Great place to stay.

We had 4 miniature pillows on a king-sized bed that equalled one regular sized pillow. When we requested a larger pillow, or additional pillows, we were told that there were none in the entire hotel! Also the carpet in front of the bathroom door was wet the entire time we were there. Location was good but it was a tough nite's sleep!

It was great! Rooms were spacious & clean. Bed & pillows were extremely comfortable! Will stay here anytime I need a hotel in Charleston!

Hotel had bad odor in rooms and balcony door was disabled so you can't get fresh air. Smelled like $28 room at Motel 8 .....would seriously consider avoiding Holiday Inn Express after this experience

The hotel has a great location in savannah. Can walk everywhere. Feels like part of the South and not just another square hotel box. Hotel needs to fine tune its service in the restaurant and front desk. Not for the impatient on some of the little issues we had come up. Overall tho the hotel is very accomadating. Loved the architecture.

I loved the hotel overall, they made getting to downtown Charleston incredibly easy with complimentary shuttles from the hotel. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous! The staff was awesome and the overall ambiance was really nice! I will definitely go back when I'm in Charleston.

The biggest negative of our room were the lights from the parking lot that lit up the balcony, made it hard to view the beautiful city lights . We ate at the resturant on the 14 th floor. The food was good and our waiter was awesome. One thing you could do is reverse the lighting making the perimeter of the building darker and more light over the salad bar. We had a very nice stay here and would recommend it to others.

Great Location for the price. close to all must-see sights

I was a little nervous about not staying in historic charleston because I didn't want it to be a headache to get to all of the places we were going. The hotel is so close to everything so the money saved by staying outside of the historic district was well worth it. It's a straight shot to the outlets and historic downtown. The river view was wonderful. I will definitely stay here again. This was also my first Holiday Inn experience and I am pleased with how it turned out. I normally stay at places that cost twice as much and now I know that's a waste of money!

I thought it was just a bit pricey but I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by ALL aspects of my overnight stay. My meal in the restaurant was fantastic! We be staying there again!

If you have stuff to do down town but do not want to splurge on down town hotels this is a great alternative! Rooms were clean and nice! Not luxury but still nice! We had a good view of the marsh! Cheep breakfast that was not bad for a Buffett!

It was great had suite at the top floor as requested

We really enjoyed our stay. We had a beautiful view. we will deff. stay there next time we come to Charleston

The view of the Ashley River is beautiful. There are several marinas that are in the veiw so you get to see a lot of beautiful boats,and birds.

The shuttle service was great! We hardly had to drive our own car.

Very comfortable, convient.

It was OK. Woman at front desk was not friendly upon check in and upon request for a new door key that did not work. We were on the 12th floor and road noise was fairly loud. Did not receive any room sevice (e.g. clean towels or anything during the stay (2 nights). Riverview restaurant view was exceptional - however, the food prices were high. Road noise at the swimming pool was excessive.

This hotel is nice but a very pricey for just a regular hotel. The restaurant on the top floor is terrible and very expensive. I will probably not stay here again, it's more cost efficient to stay elsewhere and probably have better food.

Very nice staff. The hotel wasn't right in downtown, but a free shuttle transport is available to get you downtown. Not too far from Folly Beach. Would definitely stay at this location again.

Hotel was what I expected. We went to MUSC for a doctors visit and the hotel was about 3 miles from doctor. Hotel has a nice view of the water at higher levels. The hotel did charge us for the room even though w paid for it on hotels.com. When I called the hotel the reimbursed us for the over charge.

A little tough with the traffic to get in and out. Beautiful view. Good dining and lounge. Friendly staff.

Came down with a friend for the weekend to get away. Had never been to Charleston before and ended up loving it. The staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were cozy and clean and the view was awesome. It's in a great location and close to everything. Will stay here again, was very pleased.

Had a decent stay, but would rate hotel no more than 2.5 stars. Customer service was better than overall stay.

We loved our view and Found it easy to get around town. The staff was friendly and very helpful! We look forward to returning next year.

Stay was nice. Enjoyed the view. Just confused in the location the hotel. Our reservation had Holiday Inn River View and the sign said Holiday Inn Harbour View
