The restaurant was clearly under staffed. Everyone was consistently complaining. Wait times were sometimes over an hour. On one occasion, our room was not cleaned. On another, the door to our room was left open. Complaints to the management were answered promptly, but the service did not improve. The room itself, was dated though functional. On the whole, for what we paid we could have done quite a bit better. Dr. L. R

The best way to describe my experience with the hotel is that it is good at being a hotel. The staff a very friendly and helpful. The location is not meant to be convenient for sight-seeing, but nothing is far by car regardless of what city you're in. In short, everything I needed from a hotel I got and I would certainly be a repeat customer.

The Holiday Inn at the Montreal Airport was just an average hotel stay for my husband and me. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the morning breakfast buffet. The lobby is nice and the pool atrium looks very inviting. Unfortunately, when you first walked in the door you are hit with the smell of chlorine. The hallway carpeting was stained and dated and the ice machines were not working. The room was clean and fresh but the finishes were a bit dated. We also prefer to have a warmer comforter on the bed.

My room was dirty when I arrived. after 4 days of complaints about the dirt on the walls floors and washroom they finally vacuumed the carpet, but failed to pick up the dirty Q-tip that was left in the room from a previous guest. The walls and ceramic floor were never cleaned. Finally at the end of my stay they moved me to a different section of the hotel.

I have waited 30 minutes for shuttle bus, it was -27 with windchill that nite.

I have stayed at this hotel for many years but stopped about 1 year ago. It was worn out. But I gave it another try and found this property to have been upgraded big time! Clean and many amenities. Full service hotels generally cost much more these days and this one is a gem at half the price. I will continue to stay here.

The hotel was undergoing a MAJOR....and I mean MAJOR remodeling! Construction supplies, tools, and epuipment were everywhere. Elevators were out of service and bags had to be carried to 2nd floor rooms. And the dust...was over everything. However, the hotel was convenient to the airport and provided a shuttle. The hotel staff did their absolute best to made our stay as pleasant as possible. When complete it should be a very nice hotel but during our stay some areas were actually unsafe.

The hotel is close to the airport, inexpensive. It needs maintenance but they are currently renovating the hotel...

The hotel is currently being renovated. The staff say that the renovation was supposed to have been completed last January. The restaurant in also in renovation mode. The buffet breakfast for 4 came to $56( before gratuite) and the food was very ordinary, the space cramped, and not user friendly. Housekeeping forgot to clean our room and had to be reminded to do so. Lifeguard on duty at the pool was more interested in his text messaging than looking after the guests using the pool. Manager on duty was niether friendly nor concerned when informed about his Life guard. Will not stay there ever again.

the srevice was good recomended for business but not for family holiday

It's the cheapest hotel that came up during a peak summer weekend in Montreal. For a 4-star. Even with a last minute booking. So + points there. But if you're not coming in/out of Trudeau International Airport, this is totally out of the way. We drove to Montreal to check out downtown, so this was really not the IDEAL location, but we chose it because it was the cheapest. The hotel itself was fabulous. The lobby was amazing. But the rooms in the back are a low-rise (2-storey) building, looks a lot like a retrofitted motel from the Outside. The outdoor pool is a gravel pit now. Lots of construction going on. The indoor pool was good. Also has a nice restaurant. Old CRT Television with grainy picture (no flat screen). Bed was very clean, and pillows of the most superior quality. A/C blasted cold air. Staff were very friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend hotel for the price and amenities, but not location (unless you're an airline traveler passing through).

We visited this poorly manged hotel last weekend. We had a very bad experience as the staff was non-cooperative, rooms were very dirty and the services were very bad. Front desk receptionist gave us the room which was next to the the wing which had a big construction going on and was next to the store room. Carpets were very dirty and the back balcony of the room did not have a railing. It was dangerous to stay in that room with two kids. The manager on duty was very rude and was asking for extra $20 for an extra bed if they have to provide a room with one king size bed. As this was their mistake, they were not suppose to ask for any extra money if they have to upgrade it. I literally had to shout and argue to this guy to get the nicer and safer room. It took almost 3 hours at the front desk to resolve the issue which spoiled our entire day. the rooms intially assigned were 423 and 425. I will strongly not recommend anyone to stay in that hotel.

Stayed to watch the U2 concert. The hotel was clean, service was good, the price was right and the sleep was very comfortable. However Montreal's roads are another story !!!

Hotel under renovation, very messy and quite dirty. Might be good when renovation is ready.

The hotle was dated, it smelt like mould. There were some nice room but they wouldn't give us a newly done room. The room looked nothing like the picture showed when I booked it.

This is a very nice hotel with 'tropical paradise' type swimming area. Clean, no problems at all. Just don't confuse it with the Holiday Inn Express which is located about 5 minutes closer to the airport. If I could have asked for one improvement here, it would have been for coffee in the lobby. When you're up at 5 a.m. to get to the airport, it would be good to have coffee in the lobby but it was not available.

Hotel was clean, quiet and staff were friendly. Breakfast buffet was late owing to reschedule at Christmas, which would have been ok but night guy when I checked in told me 6:30 am, so I got up early but then found it had moved to 8am. Staff not to blame, manager should remind them at start of shift. Food was good and plentiful. Overall a good experience, I would recommend hotel.

I really wish I could have stayed longer, but my stay was but only a few hoursof down time and sleepand then left really early. But from the short stay it was very quiet and very confortable hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpfull.

Was booked for price. Bathroon stank of badly washed towels. Smell came from shower curtain, however. OK otherwise

The hotel is so old. The restaurant was horrible. Everything was probably microwaved frozen food. The sink was separate from the bathroom. That was OK. But the surrounding sink area is so small, we couldn't put anything on the countertop. Plus, no towel hanger. The airconditon was so old, everytime it went off it made a huge sound, kept me up all night. The only thing good about this place was the housekeeping. If I asked something, they brought it within 5mins. I give te star for them, but everything else was horrible. Never staying here again.

A full service hotel near the airport. Driving into town was a little difficult. The bar and resturant were good. The pool was not open very late and the hot tub wasn't even working.

this was a great hotel the beds were very clean and it has a beautifull pool area.we ate at the restauraunt and the guy there who was serving us was great :D i will definetly be staying there again my next visit to montreal

the people who work in the restaurant are excellant. very friendly and helpful. The morning I left I was running very late for a meeting and had only gotten about 3 hours of sleep (terrible beds+no climate control+people walking around the halls= crappy sleep). Anyway, I was very tired and just in a bad mood. I went to the restaurant manager and asked if they had takeout coffee. She looked at me and said of course and that it was normally a couple of dollars but that she could tell I was pretty tired this morning so would I please allow her to buy it for me? It was a very kind gesture and really changed my whole mood for the morning thereafter. The coffee was very good and my meeting ended up going great as well.

This is the worse hotel i ever stayed in. Its more like a motel than a hotel. Our AC didnt work the whole day we were there. Technicians came in to fix it and nothing was done. The bathrooms were dirty and dingy. The whole MOTEL had a smell. WORSE, WORSE, WORSE hotel ever. I m never staying at it again.

hotel offrant de bon services tel que piscine ou sauna mais il n'est pas possible de si baigner lorsque des groupe mange au restaurant .d'ailleur notre chambre donnait sur le patio de l'hotel ou sont organisé ceux ci.donc nous avons ete de la noce toute l nuit du 21avril est apres vive le menage .pas tres cool lorsque vous avez envie de dormir apres votre voyage et que vous avez le decalage horaire dans les jambes .situation de l'hotel loins de tout navette aeroport tres longue en roulement alors que l'hotel ne se trouve qu'a 4km.bon point pour l'acceuil et pour le personnel de salle .mais je ne recommande pas cette hotel ou alors demander des chambre qui ne donne pas sur le patio .eviter de sur chambres 1013/1011/1012.

Super bien et le personnel super gentil

La réception puis le restaurant était très bien mais pour le reste la chambre c'était dégoutant sa pu et c'était trop petit.Le bain avec de la peinture dedans ect... Non je ne le recommente pas à personne.Belle publicité trompeuse.Je suis très dessus de je que j'ai vue.

Hôtel ''viellot'' mais confortable. Parking spacieux mais poussiereux.

Beaucoup trop bruyant. le prix par telephone et à la reception n'est pas pareil d'une personne à l'autre.

hotel avec services abordables, tres bien amenage avec un atrium tout a fait splendide.Environnement agreable et le personnel charmant

es ist erstaunlich das dieses Hotel 4 Sterne nach Kanadischem Standard hat. Das Hotel hatte seine beste Zeit in den 70 und 80 er Jahre.Service und Restaurant ist gut. Sauberkeit ist auch gut. Einrichtung und Ausstattung nicht mehr Zeitgemäss.
