I choose this hotel because of it's location. Boy was I wrong. The young lady at the front desk was nice, the lobby was nice but that's where it ended. I was given a room in facing the pool. Which was supposed to have closed at 9pm, it didn't. The air conditioning barely worked and though I asked for a non smoking room it reaked of smoke. Overall I would give it a negative 10 if I could

Room didn't smell good,not a very safe area,should have gone to another hotel

For the price it was okay but next time I will pay more and stay in a hotel with a better breakfast and good coffee. In Louisiana the coffee should be good.

We were traveling cross country and we booked the place online because it was conveniently located toward New Orleans. We read the complaints from other reviewers about some smell, but we ignored it because it's in the swampland so it should be something to be expected. The lobby was fine, but as we got in the room, there was nothing expected about the smell that invaded our noses. The human nose should adapt to the smell in about 6 minutes, but we still smelled it the next morning. The breakfast selection was limited and after having it, I would recommend skipping it. You get what you pay for and this is a cheap place. I'm not sure if I emphasized it enough: the smell was bad and someone should address the issue. Unless you have a condition which prevents you from detecting even the most concentrated forms of the most foul odors, do yourself a favor and cough up some change for a better place.

The room was ok and seemed clean enough until I went in the bathroom where two used washcloths were left hanging over the shower curtain rail and behind the bathroom door.

Hairs (not from the head) everywhere. On the bed, on the floor, in the shower. Smelled bad. Would not stay again.

What do people exspect for this price??? Go stay at the Ritz Carlton for $300/night if you want luxury. Older hotel but my room was clean and staff was very nice. Great location in south Baton Rouge. I left my special pillow after checking out and housekeeping still had it the next day.

We had no major issues, just kinda slow check-in and had issues with our door key but other than that they were friendly and the stay was fine!

Upon entering my room, I had trouble figuring out how to work the privacy curtains. When I attempted to use the bedside phone, I then discoved it too was broken. I drove around to the office and reported this but I never did receive a replacement phone. I was hungry and there happens to be a well known 24 hr diner next door. Unfortunately, the characters that were hanging out in front of it played a role in my decision to retire back to my room for the remainder of the evening. I then discovered that I didnt have a remote for my TV. Since I didnt have a working phone, I had to use my cell to call the main office to report this. Shortly after, someone did arrive with one. The shower surround and ceiling were HORRIBLE. There were dirty hand and finger prints everywhere. The ceiling above the shower was peeling and moldy. By this time it was getting late and I wanted ice and water so I called the front desk to ask for directions from my room to the nearest ice and beverage dispensers. The clerk could not tell me anything specific other than both were available in the breezeways. So after walking around the entire hotel in the dead of night, I finally found both an ice machine and working drink dispenser both in one place. Unfortunately, that required my walking all the way up to near the office. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would not stay here avain even if it were offered free of.charge.

The overall experience was good. We wanted to be in walking distance of the Mall of Louisiana but it was not. We were disappointed with the continental breakfast. There is a Waffle House nearby that I would definitely recommend going to in lieu of the hotel's breakfast.

This hotel was very dirty. The rooms were not clean, the staff were not helpful at all. They never offered to make our stay more comfortable during the 3 days we were there. Housekeeping was the worst! You practically had to beg just to get towels and toilet paper.

Right next to I-10 but minimal "road noise." Very pleasant staff. Old-style motel with outside entrance to rooms. Could use some updating...phone book was from 2009! Fine for overnight stay.

Our stay was ok. My boyfriend & I went to target and bought ourselves a comforter because the one from the hotel had stains on it. -Disgusting. And the funny part was we reached for the phone to call and complain, but it was disconnected. The phone did not work in our room. Crazy, huh?! And another thing, they didn't have very good lighting. They had 4 lamps in the room but only 1 worked. We had to use the lighting from the bathroom area mainly.

Excellent - nice old place - clean and friendly staff.

The bathroom could have been cleaner - having someone else's hairs in your bath and at the back of the toilet seat is pretty gross. Wasn't very happy with the service - had no towels in our room and the front desk said they would have them sent up. We received 3 towels for 4 people. Asked the person who brought them up if we could have one more plus another two so we could use the pool. He told us we had too many people staying in our room as we already had six towels apparently. Eventually did get the extra towels. The complimentary breakfast was a whole other storey. We don't expect much with a free breakfast, and we got there at 7.30 (breakfast was 6 til 9). Got the last cup of coffee - although the staff member checked everything, he did not bother to refill the coffee maker. Hardly anything to eat. There was some cereal, but it was an ordeal to get more milk to use in our cereal as there was none left, and the only other food was packaged such as peanut butter crackers, pecan pies and other plastic packed preserved items. The pool and grassed areas were nice, but I wouldn't bother to stay here again.

Beds were ok. Older hotel. Room service didn't give us new towels nor take out the trash in our room. At least no bed bugs!

It was okay, it suited the price!

The hotel worked, as it was a last minute reservation due to working with Hurricane Issac. When you have 2 different things in the room stating the TV channels, and the tv only goes to channel 10, it's a problem. Calling the desk, they said "then I guess that's all we have". I also work in a internet based industry, and rely on the internet at the hotel to do work. The connection was mediocre at best -- didn't work most of the time, and when it did, it ran ridiculously slow.

What a disaster! The room clearly had not been properly cleaned--there was a bar of used soap in the shower, half a spork behind the door, a cup of water in the fridge, and what appeared to be a mascara smear and drool spot on one of the beds' sheets. The air conditioner wasn't cooling properly and the TV remote quit working, which we were then expected to reprogram ourselves. Aside from the woman who was working when I arrived, the front-desk staff was incompetent, unhelfpful, and rude. We finally were given a new room, which had a whole new set of problems: the bathtub didn't drain well (so you ended up showering in half a tub of water), the coffee pot had the last guests' used coffee pouch still in it, the blanket on one bed was ripped up, and there was a dental floss pick on the floor by the other bed; the AC in that room worked better, but still wasn't great. The housekeeping staff was sent by to offer services 3 times that first morning but then weren't seen again the rest of our stay (another 3 days). The only redeeming feature of this hotel is the very nice saltwater pool set in a lovely courtyard.

After checking in, we stayed maybe 30 minutes and had to leave. The smell in the room was aweful. There was grass/dirt on the bed. There was about an 1 1/2 space under the door where a piece was missing. The pool was a decent size, but nasty. I did not feel this was a place my family could stay. Had to check out.

Room is clean considering the age of the hotel it is maintained in fair condition I've been staying on a weekly basis for three weeks now and am pleased with the hotel and staff.

The rooms were not clean. The service was rude to say the least. The first room they put me in had a horrible smell and they tried to mask it with some lysol was not a good sighn.

I will never stay there again. The telephone didn't work. Reported the problem and was never resolved. The Wifi didn't work. The lady at the front desk was rude. Stayed at other Days Inn and never had this type of experience.

Room appeared to have been recently renovated carpet new bathroom clean and bed was clean.

I wound up staying at another hotel. I had my 18 year old daughter with me & together we made the decision to leave. I did not feel comfortable at all. The clientel was scary. I know I woundn't have slept at all and I would have worried all night long. I checked in and within the hour I checked out.

Communication between staff, caused service personnell to ignore a do not disturb sign and awake me from a nap to go to desk to confirm that I had already paid for three days....your wifi caused havoc with my laptop, messed up my browser and security suite. worse wifi I have ever had, I think it was your logon service..luckily I was able to reset my laptop. Little things can cause a bad impression, I stopped at Terre Haute Indiana on way hojme, I stayed at Motel 6, and not a Days Inn, when i told Desk personnell about your wifi, she told me that I was lucky I was only there for a few days...real bad experience.

This was not your everyday Days Inn. Rude front desk lady, the entire stay was with a pot of homeless running around parking lots.

Our group was bowling in Baton Rouge and needed just a basic hotel. Days Inn serves the purpose if you do not plan to spend much time in the room. The good points include a VERY friendly staff at check in. After a long flight, it was nice to have a warm greeting. There are many good restaurants in the area and no problems with housekeeping. The bad points was the faint musty smell in the room. It disappeared once the ac was turned on but you would notice it if you left the room and came back. The hotel is convenient to I-10 and easy on and off the interstate is a plus.

the hotel need a upgrade for comfort level

i have been coming her for all most 2 years and have use the same hotel and have had very littile prolems and the have always been taken care of right a way

It was an older hotel but it was very clean. The bed was comfortable.

The hotel is in an excellent spot for getting around Baton Rouge. It is not fancy or frilly but a good place to stay if you're not staying around the hotel much.

Our room had spider webs everywhere. It was the kind of webs with dust on them, like they have been there a while. They were connected to the sink and another was connected to the front door. It left me wondering how long it had been since they cleaned the room. I had to check my bedding for spiders. It made me feel gross. Also, the rooms are not sound proof. There were other customers who were talking outside & I could hear everything inside of our room. Very frustrating when you are trying to sleep or watch television.

Had good stay but have not received points for the three nights as of this date.please post my wellcome rewards.thanx,randall
