If you can ignore the fact that the bathroom sink had hair and toothepaste from previous guests in it, the room itself wasn't bad. The pool was well maintained, unlike at another hotel down the road. Loved the beach access. Most likely won't be back because of the sink.

I have stayed in this hotel twice for business, and pray that I never have to stay a 3rd time. The location of this hotel and its rooms are great, the problem is that the time it takes you to get to and from your room on the one working elevator you could have stayed at a hotel 5 miles from the beach for less money, and still got to the beach at the same time. I know the are updating the hotel, but the constant construction is quite annoying. I say find a different place to stay in 2012, and check back in 2013 (if the world has not come to an end) to see if there is any improvements in the reviews after they are finished remodeling.

Loved the view, great to just walk out on the beach.

I now know where to stay when I come there on vacation instead of buisiness. Great hotel right on the beach. Awesome Location.

Stayed at Holiday Inn several times all the times were very wonderful, right there at the beautiful beaches and the sun deck was wonderful watching the calm water in the morning. All was great staff was very helpful and courteous.

I stayed at this hotel two nights for personal reasons - my room was clean; the staff was EXTRA friendly and went out of their way to assist me or provide a service. Finally, its RIGHT on Corpus Christi Bay and has its own beach. The location is perfect for relaxing or hopping in the car and doing some sightseeing. When I come back to CC, this is where I will be

Right on the water Would definitely stay there again. The room was very nice and the service was great.

We were very pleased with the room restaurant and with the fact that is pet frendy. We suggest pet foods treats available at gift shop.we will be back.thank you.

This is the only hotel right on the beach so that was the best thing. Our room was not the cleanest. There was what I assume to be dog hair on the sheets, blankets, and toilet. We did tell the cleaning crew and it was better the next day. Staff was very friendly and kind. The air conditioner in our room would have a rotten egg smell when it would kick on but it would go away after it was running for a little while. Overall, not the best hotel I've ever been in but our room looked out on the beach and you walked down the steps into the sand. So that was the plus.

We wanted a kid friendly place on the beach and this did the job. The staff is super friendly and everything is right there for you. The only suggestion is that there be more ceiling fans in the play areas. It was extremely hot and humid in there. We would definitely go back.

Spacious rooms and all kinds of amenities.

Had a beach view room and it was falling apart inside and not at all clean looking or feeling. They need to do a room remodel and update fixtures etc., it was very over priced for the room you recieved.

This was my first time visiting Corpus and was a bit scared of how the rooms there would be. had read different reviews so had mixed feelings but once I arrived we saw first hand a great view from our top cabana. My children loved it and I felt safe and very comfortable. We will absolutly return to this hotel. Thank you so much to the cleaning lady, she was awesome and to to the staff. We had a quick check in no problems. Again we loved it and thank you! See you again soon! Oh the gift shop ladies are cool!

Very dirty. Poor service. Crowded loby. Crowded elevator. Dirty, small pool. Pool was one of worst that I have seen.

Use to be a nice place to stay 10 years ago. Now old, musty & in need of maintenance. Pool closed during peak hours. Bathrooms for pool & beach closed. Found empty beer cans in room upon check-in. Talked with manager, told nothing they could do ... yep, last time I'll stay at this hotel

Hotel was right on the beach, our kids had a blast, there's a nice area to tan next to a small little bar. They had a little playground for the kids, the indoor pool and jacuzzi were clean they also had ping pong, air hocky and a pool table. We had breakfast one morning which was ok. The surrounding neighborhood was kinda scary, alot of bums, we saw one man yelling at himself as if was on something at a store near by but i guess that's everywhere. The only thing we really did not like about the hotel is they have 2small elevator's that take long.....

The only thing that was wrong is that when i checked in my room...THERE WAS A DIRTY DIAPER UNDER THE BED...that's about it though.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Lots of construction going on in the rooms around the pool area. They originally put in a room around the pool, but was not comfortable staying in this ground floor room with large sliding glass door since I was staying alone. They staff quickly switched my room. The redone rooms are nice, except for the bathrooms, they remind me of hospital showers. I would have expected a better bathroom. Overall, it was suitable for my business stay.

Everything but the cleaniness of the room and the poolside bar workers, was excellent. The sheets had blood stains on them, big roach in room, and our room was not stocked with coffee or cups for two people. The workers at the poolside bar were rude and not friendly at all. Everyone else was excellent. Overall my stay was ok, but it would have been excellent if these mishaps were corrected.

Overall, we were satisfied with our weekend at this hotel. The indoor pool/play area were great! The location on the bayfront and being right on the beach was a big hit especially with kids. The hotel itself could use a facelift, and definitely needs to upgrade double rooms to queen beds (2 adults on a double, not pretty!). Other than let, the staff was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Had a great time and will go back in the future!

Was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Service was horrible and the hotel it self was not kept up well.

I have stayed at this hotel several times I can tell this year that they have been working very hard to clean it up and make improvements. My kids love the pool, play area and beach. Our waitress in the restaurant was the best!

I called last minute for reservations and they were very helpful. Room was really large with an entire wall of Windows. Bed was very comfortable. Only complaint is that the pillows were lumpy and small. We will stay here for our next trip to Corpus.

Upon making my reservation, I had to assign my second room to my sister even though I paid for both rooms because the system didn't allow for both rooms to be under my name and be charged to my card. Your roll away beds need to be up graded seriously. I had handicap preferances that were not even met because the hotel perffered to make money than to satisfy their customers. Why is it that we can't choose the rooms we feel comfortable with or have connecting rooms upon request. Those of us with family and handicap necessaties should be taken into consideration. A suggestion, why not have small microwaves in your rooms or have them available for convieance.

When I arrived my rooms was not available. I waited for 2 rooms over 30 mins. That had a view of a roof top. The hotel was old, out dated. Not very clean. Everything was broke in the pool area. The pool was not heated. This was not a good room to stay at.

The bathroom was not clean, with hair and shoeprints on the floor and in bathtub. The floor in the room was not very clean either. I was also not informed that breakfast was NOT included and there would be a charge for business center and fitness center card keys.

Valerie at the front desk was very helpful and professional. Adam - graveyard shift security - was very personable and efficient. The beachfront at this hotel is kept extraordinarily clean.

OK...it's not Pismo Beach, but it's really quite nice. Check-in was fast, and courteous. If we'd wanted to get any closer to the beach, we'd have needed a boat. It's literally a few yards from the breaking surf. Yes, as described in a previous review, you can sometimes hear people in other rooms, but it's a hotel...deal with it. 1-star or 5-star, you'll experience this at one time or another. Postcard ocean front view, nice and well kept beach, great room service, excellent bar, and good room service. It appears to be an older hotel, but well maintained, although the ceilings in the hallway may be a bit claustrophobic. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

Rooms were fine with a nice view of the beach. Beds were comfy but the rooms could use some overall updating. Older hotel, (70s or earlier I'd guess) you can tell that it has note been remodeled for awhile. Elevators were small and lounge area very small and closed at midnight (not suprising). Not much parking either. On the positive side you can walk out of the hotel and pool area right to the beach. Staff was very helpful. Typical hotel restaraunt for breakfast which was the only meals we had there. Rates were reasonable as we were with a sports team with group pricing. I sense it does a lot of that type of business so if you are a couple looking for a quiet, adult place, there might be other choices in the area to look at. Nothing in the way of restaraunts, clubs or shopping in close walking distance but only a short ride away.

The white bedspread was really dirty! Glad it was white though! I was very far form the restaurant, but the room and halls smelled like sterno burners and gave me a bad headache.

We had requested a handicap room because I recently had knee surgery and unable to climb stairs. We were placed in a room far away from the elevator so I requested a change from the front desk. They were nice enough to move us to a room on the ground level with direct access to the beach from our room. I could not have been happier but the staff did recommend we contact the hotel directly since the number of rooms available thru the Hotel.com site are limited in selection. Our new room was great and we enjoyed our stay.

This hotel was great. As soon as you step outside, the beach is there, it was perfect. They have a deck w/ a cabana so thats a big plus. The room was great.

The hotel was nice. Crowded - but what would you expect during summer vacations. The indoor pool was cold. If that is my only complaint - then that is good. I loved the beach access. It was walking distance to many things (restaurants, shopping, etc.) Our vacation turned out great.

I like this "end" of the beach in Corpus better than the beach by the hotels near the Lex. There are fewer people and less beach to walk across to get to the water. The guys who rent umbrellas and wave runners are nice, and everyone at the hotel (workers and guests) are very friendly. And they are very dog-friendly at the hotel. This is the second time we've gone to Corpus and we chose this hotel agan.
