No much to say. What I do not understand is why a person arriving at a hotel to check in needs to be in a line up for 40 minutes. If Hotel was going to be busy one weekend, why not hired more stuff at front desk. What was wrong with the manager coming out to help and why not even bottle water or coffee were out for those of us waiting tired to be line checked in. There 3 people at front desk and only one was moving clients? Happy? no I was not impressed at all. I am in that city every weekend and I could not understand why would i feeling fainting and no one even to talk to those in the line up or asset with some liquid.

Hotel needs some updating and maintenance, but good price, service and location.

I will do a honest review. We drove. Finding the hotel was easy, but finding the way to enter the parkade/front entrance was extremely hard. The lights do not let you go straight, and so many one ways that put you right back to the beginning. The hotel itself was nice, beautiful lobby and extremely good customer service. The room itself looked clean and the beds were comfy. The linen we got was dirty. It looked like there was food stains on our linen and it was gross. We left it and slept on the other side of it. On our 2nd night, we put a sign on our bed to change the linen. It was not changed, the same dirty stain was on the bed sheet, and on the bed linen. The wine glass we used was not changed either. We have a river view... the windows were really dirty from the outside, a lot of black dirt. The view was nice at night though. Overall, a good hotel in downtown Edmonton.

This is one of the best hotels in Edmonton, with a beautiful view and comfortable rooms it makes going back to the hotel as enjoyable as being out on the town. A great selection of food to order for room service along with the classy rooftop restaurant allow for fine dining without having to leave, the Sicilian flatbread is a must try! located close to many hotspots such as the Shaw centre, bars, clubs, restaurants and shopping this hotel is convenient without compromising on comfort or class.

Room was fine. Location was convenient to Shaw Convention Centre. Thank you. Gordon W.

Wanted somewhere close to the Winspear, it was perfect. Nice hotel, good service.

I like this hotel, for the rate it was a very nice location and I had a nice room with a river valley view. Breakfast in the lobby restaurant was good. There is pay parking, although I was there on a weekend so I think it was cheaper than weekdays. This is an older hotel and could use some updating. Although very clean, it is a dated hotel.

This hotel was a great find. Very clean and well kept. Front desk staff when we arrived was a little snooty, and we were tired and she kind of gave attitude because we were trying to clarify her information she was providing. Front desk in the morning for check out was much nicer to us. The hotel was a little awkward to get to, but that's how I feel about most Edmonton locations! Parking was a little unclear where we were allowed to park, which again goes back to the service at check in. However, it was the cheapest parking ($15.00/night) that I'd seen in hotels downtown Edmonton. Overall, clean rooms, nice beds, great deal. I would definitely recommend others to stay there.

The staff at this hotel are wonderful! Everything was perfect. The door man was amazing and went beyond his need to help us bring all our stuff into our room. The ONLY issue I had was the room got to hot and no matter how low you put the settings it did not make any difference.

Hotel was great, parking is a bit tricky. Fantastic room to book for a romantic night or anniversary.

great location and friendly service but the building, parkade and decor are a bit dated. The room was clean but needed a good airing as it had a musty smell.

Chateau Lacombe was nice to stay at. I enjoyed our room, and the king-sized bed was comfortable.

the only issue i have is that the hotel charge for parking ( dont suppose to be free?)

Loved the location, would definatly stay here again.

Checked the lounge hours in the hotel guide, no closing time listed. First night went down, was advised it closed at 11 pm. I found this early for a lounge. Second night went down at 10:15 pm, lounge was open but food service stopped at 10 pm. The server was kind enough to allow an order. I would like to see the hotel better communicate the lounge and restaurant hours to guests. Other than the confusion ion dining hours, the beds were on the firm side. Overall a pretty nice hotel with great downtown location. I would stay again if I was in the area.

Stayed here twice now, first time was better than the last, traffic noise had me up pretty early, 2nd room had no fridge & wasn't as nice as the first. The restaurant on the top floor is very nice have to check it out for sure.

Hotel was fine, check parking rates!

The hotel is really old and needs renovation. It is also noisy depending on the conventions going on. They do give you ear plugs for the evening if you have trouble with noise. The revolving restaurant is nice.

Not as much of a reivew as a list of horros: -The service at the front desk was not very good or helpful from check in to check out. -Paint was peeling off the interiror of the tub and hair was stuck in the peeling paint. -The bed was extremely hard and both of us woke with sore arms and legs. -The towels were horrible, taking off skin as one tried to dry off. - At 9:30 in the morning we were woke out of our deep sleep by someone knocking on our door then entering our room, with no anouncement or warning. This person(s) then proceeded to continmue this practice through out the remainder of the floor. -I tried to call the front desk and complain but the phone was broke and would not allow a call to the front desk. -On check out they tried to charge my credit card for the room even though it was a prepaid booking. I did share my disgust with the front desk on check out and informed them that I could never stay there again and would recommend that it be avoided.

An older hotel, well looked after, with a fab view of the North Sask river. A real deal for the price, & within walking distance of downtown. Would reccomend it to anyone and stay there again in a second. Thanks Hotels .com

When we reserved the room we weren't aware that we would have to pay an additional $15 per day for hotel parking! Didn't find that out until we registered.

Very dated and worn out facility. Poor service and very very expensive meals. I would not stay there again even if it was free. Too bad as the name and previous reviews suggested more.

Outstanding rate through this website. Hotel seemed very quiet - and the room was very quiet and peaceful. (maybe occupancy was low in the first week of January) Clean and comfortable. Very convenient for government business etc in Edmonton.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Chateau Lacombe. The room was beautiful. The view was spectacular. The hotel restaurant and lounge were both excellent and affordable. The service was impeccable. Anything else you could possibly want was within a block or two. Next time I'm in Edmonton, I will certainly be staying there again.

We were most shocked at the price of in-room breakfast ($91 for three entrees, juice and coffee), and the fact that room service said "We are not responsible for ensuring you have a coupon for a complimentary breakfast - you must ask for it upon check-in." That was the bad. The good - the hotel is beautiful, the staff are professional and polite, and the rooms are spacious and very well appointed. The food is excellent if expensive, and they do go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay. Next time though, I'll ask for my free breakfast.

I have stayed here over 20 times... Everyt time I go for business to Edmonton, this is my first choice.

Lets start with the best which was the bed. It was so comfortable that no matter else what happened at this hotel we got a great sleep. The front desk staff were not friendly or helpful. When we wanted to inquire about shuttles from the airport to the hotel the rudely suggested we go back up to our rooms and read the book. When we inquired about a lobby house phone we could use she indicated not understanding and then with a huge sigh dialed for us. (we latter spotted a phone near the lobby bathroom) The bathtub was tiny and dirty. There was mold around the tub with dirt caked in and around the tiles and fixtures as well as around the sink. The room cleaners were too busy to pick up the towels or refresh the coffee. The billing was wrong. But mostly just really unfriendly and unhelpful to the point of rudeness. Try somewhere else!

This is my thrid stay at this hotel and there is a reason I keep coming back. Location, location, location! Not only is it easy to get to, all I have to do is park my vehicle for the night and take the LRT(transit) to most major events like the football game. A block away from Jasper Ave, you're never far from anything. I love this place! It does exactly what I need it to do. Comfortable beds too. Great place.

Condition of our hotel room was below par. The sink only provided hot scalding water. After a quick 5 minute shower, the floor would be soaked. The service was also lacking. We did not enjoy our stay here and will not be coming back.
