Clarion Hotel Myrtle Beach - ميرتل بيتش

Location is in a run down area. Strip clubs are abundant so the area is really starting to move in a negative direction. Rooms are very old.

Regardless of price point there are some non-negotiables for any hotel. For me these include: Cleanliness, competency, courtesy, comfort and safety.This Clarion was just ok.It wasn't dirty; it was quiet, the beds fine, It had basic amenities, but nary a working printer ( and no one who could fix it.) Complimentary breakfast, not early enough to take advantage (late opening to boot, and manager made excuses.) Most egregious fault was the staff. The person who checked us in was slovenly and disinterested. First room was near the elevator asked to be moved. Moved to opposite end of hall near the back elevator. Really? Not a problem though by second day that elevator was "out of order". Same individual was outside on smoke breaks when guest waiting at front desk. Other front desk person prefaced everything by "I'm new here so I don't know." This hotel would be perceived as much better if they just had people that could maximize its potential.

Great Hotel, in a nice location that is set apartt from some of the mess that Myrtle Beach can be at times. My only complaint was that upon checking in, the front desk sends you to what they say is a concierge desk, but in fact is a lady trying to sell time-shares. How do they think this strikes the average traveler who may have come a great distance to be there, and just wants to get to their room, only to have a 10 minute sales pitch thrown at them while holding their bags. Other than this foolishness, our stay was very enjoyable in this clean, comfortabel, affordable hotel.

I have this thing about hotels. I am always scare because you just never know. This hotel was so clean I felt comfortable my kids was able to move around the room and I was not nervous. The staff was really nice and the pool was clean too. This is a good choice. I will stay again

Everything was great , but the restaurant need more waitress. We order a dinner , it took them more than a hour just to get the appetizer.

The heat wasn't working in our room. The hotel didn't offer anything they just wrote up an work order. The full breakfast was good. It was during spring break & high school prom so it was a little noisy but to be expected. It was my first time staying here. A good place off the main traffic & good place for kids. Nice indoor/outdoor pool. I liked the hotel except I was cold. The staff could have been a little helpful about the area.

In town for a cheerleader competition, we all stayed in the same hotel and it was very accommodating to a pack of wild young girls. Food was good, the rooms were very nice and the whole place was very clean.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We thought your hotel was very nice.

Everything was perfect except that the address of the hotel showing in hotels.com was not the correct address and my gps threw me to an empty lot about ten blocks from there. Please, get the right address so this won't happen to somebody else.

The room was clean and pretty nice. Our balcony door did not lock, but we were on the 3rd floor so it wasn't a huge deal. The bathroom was clean and well-kept. The pool and hottub were a little dirty, but it was off-season when we stayed so I guess it's to be expected. We were really impressed by the breakfast served here each morning - a full buffet with eggs cooked to order, fresh fruit, breakfast meats, pancakes, you name it. The breakfast alone was worth the low price of this hotel. It's only a few miles from the beach and attractions, but the area it is in is kind of deserted. A little sketchy, but overall quiet and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again.

There was a small leak in our room when it was raining. I also did not like the food much. But for the price i paid i cant complaij. Lobby and pool were very nice. Beds were comfy and bathroom was a nice size. We also had a little balcony looking out onto the water. Not bad.

my stay was very pleasant and enjoyable,the only drawback was that the hotel advertises refrigerators and microwaves in rooms and my room had no microwave ,when i asked about it the desk clerk said only sixth floor room s had microwaves and i thought that was not what was advertised! But overall had a great time,the rooms were clean and hotel restarant had excellant tasting food.

Everything, I mean everything was top of the line.But I was in a accident and was having trouble getting around. There is a very bad elevator shortage here. I finally had to give up and use the stairs. I didn't put this in my star review because I don't think there is anything they can do

My stay was exellent. the people were very friendly and the room was great. It is close to everything from the beach to medevil times. I would definitely stay there again.

We had a river view room, and I must it was beautiful! In addition to the view we also had a balcony! The room was very clean and the bed, NOTHING BUT SMILES!

my stay was quiet and very relaxing.

The Hotel was nice very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.Our room was nice I wanted a lakeview I got a treeview couldn't see the lake the trees were blocking view, also in the middle of the night little critters on the bathroom floor I was very surprise considering how nice the hotel was. Management was nice when I let them know about the roach problem.

I enjoyed my stay at the Clarion. Pool was nice, restaurant and lounge was also great. The only negatives I would give it would be....only one elevator.....double beds are too small for 2 adults (need Queen)....need to upgrade surrounding area

The stay was great; I would choose this hotel again. The only problem was finding the location since the GPS didn't reconize the street we drove in circles for several hours, Thanks to Judy on the check-in desk,we mananged to find our way. The stay was a close 10 very helpful and freindly staff.

PROS: Good location...was just across the bridge. CONS: Room smelled like mildew..had to crack the balcony door which was next to impossible to open. Hot tub was not heated...they seemed oblivious to it even though there were multiple complaints. Restaurant was SO slow we ended up leaving after 30 minutes. Trying to be positive, but really, there isn't many positive things to say about this place.

Would have rated maintenance higher but for the entire length of our stay (2 nights) the "down button" on the elevator would not call the elevator, so we had to go "up" to get down. Unfortunately, I had a foot injury and taking the steps was not an option. The free breakfasts were incredible!!

When we first got to Clarion we were taken back by the outside look of the hotel. As soon as we walked in we were happy we booked here. Overall look was nice and rooms with balcony river view was worth it. I would stay here again.

Our stay was great. All employees were excellent.

Enjoyed my stay, found hotel to meet my needs: clean and comfortable. Staff were fine, nice indoor/outdoor pool. Band plays @ restaurant next door till about 11pm several nights a week and is very audible so if you need to get to sleep earlier get a room on the far side of the property. Thumbs up.
