Did not like the $25.00 per day resort fee tag on the end of our stay, for what ? Just another FEE to hook you with low room rates and get you on the end,,,,they must have learned in from the airlines

Great hotel staff from the casino to housekeeping. Our room was modern, clean and comfortable. Even though some construction going on during our stay no issue getting around the hotel and no noise.

I booked online with hotels.com and was shocked when I came to the front desk and was told there was a significant Resort Fee that i had to pay each night. I said I did not see this online and was quite upset. The gentleman was very unsympathetic and I felt rude. He printed out a statement from Hotels.com that had a minor mention of something about the resort fee way at the bottom. I was digusted and tossed the credit card down and he said 'don't treat me like trash', I should have said 'don't treat me like i am stupid. You are hiding this fee until the last second when you don't have any choice but to pay.' The new modern room was small, quite stylish but the bed was too short. I am only 5 10 and my feet went over the end. You also have to pay extra for a tube at the pool, more fees. The pool area is quite nice but closes for most pools at 5, which is really early to me.

-- It took 20 min. for the shower water to get hot. I complained and it took a lot of verbiage for them to finally give me 2 free lunch buffets and get rid of the resort fee of $28. They are usually RUDE on the phone, put you on hold forever, it takes forever to check in and even longer to check out. The room is very pretty and modern design but small, with no separation between bathroom and room. The BUFFET food quality is awful, it is really DISGUSTING. even the deserts look good but taste nasty. But it's easy to have guests over, unlike the Palms, they don't check who takes the elevator. And it has lots of shops, etc.

The fire alarm went off for 15 mins mid 2 am so I was pretty tired and had a hard time getting back to sleep :) but overall MGM was nice

It was our first trip to Vegas and the hotel was exactly as described - HUGE! Many nice restaurants and bars, nice pool, and great location. SeaBlue has the best happy hour and we will remember the stuffed clams - they were great! The bartender was fantastic and we found ourselves visiting him even when we stayed at another hotel later in the week. Rooms were VERY small in the West Wing and we were often awaken after 2 am by loud people in the hall outside our door. Superior valet service and very helpful staff.

Fantastic time, only downfall was bank card got compromised. found out when i got home. only used it once there

My room had a broken shower door , broken bathroom door ! no privacy for me and my guest ! When the hot water was turned on it made a screaming noise . I had to chase down house keeping for towels . I complained to no avail , very disappointed , will not stay there again ! Tony

We stayed in a suite and the room was beautiful! The bed was amazingly comfortable! This hotel is close to everything!

Upon check-in you will find some lines but for the size of the hotel the staff do work hard to check everyone in as quickly as possible considering how many people check-inand leave per day. Once you get use to finding you way around the complex it is easy to walk around but maybe expect to get lost on your first day or then again maybe that was just me. Over all the room was comfortable and cleaned every day. It would have been nice to of had a fridge and maybe tea/coffee facilties in the room. My only downside and being Vegas I guess this is the way it is but as a non-smoker there was hardly any publc areas or gambling areas that were smoke free and after a while the smell of cigarettes and cigars becomes sickly and your clothes just smell and people dont care when they sit down next to you and light up. Overall though I am happy to recommend this hotel and would look at staying there again in furture should I ever return to Vegas. The hotel is located right at the start of the main strip so it is very accessible to get everywhere and even walk however there are buses you can take along the strip.

The service was good and they worked with us to place our traveling companions on the same floor. The hotel has a ton of stuff to do and is in a great location. On the downside, we asked for a non smoking room and it was immediately apparent people had been smoking in the room. They did not give us another room but instead sent the maid staff to spray the room, which did no good to abate the smell.

I enjoyed our stay at MGM Grand, we had booked a smoking room however and were not given one when we got there. Would not have been such an issue had there been a smoking area but we had to go downstairs and smoke IN the casino or out on the street. Not very convenient when you're on the 17th floor. We called as soon as we got in the room and let them know about the error and the person on the other end of the phone offered no apologies or change of room. Other than that, a pleasant stay and a very comfortable room. Housekeeping were quite abrupt and invasive at times.

My only comments would be that the soap and conditioner bottles were hard for the wife to use do to there shape. The room was great. The kleenex box only had 2 kleenex in it. All minor details on an otherwise great stay.

Just having 1 night in Vegas, this hotel was the perfect place to stay and to see Ka. Only drawbacks were finding an additional $28 'Resort fee' at check out and that my TV remote was dead. I would stay here again.

Service was great! Older section of hotel rooms needed some updating and repairs, baseboards not nailed on in areas, light switch for bedside lamp not working, one of our rooms had a phone that didn't call out, we requested a change, didn't happen. The resort is beautiful, clean, huge, restaurants and amenities great. We where there for a conference so our time to explore at the beginning of our stay was limited......had we known there was an ABC convenience store within a block, we'd have gone there to buy bottled water a 99 cents vs paying 3.79 within the resort stores. Live and learn. Had an amazing time!

Aside from the extremely loud lobby animated by ideo clips and loud music around the clock (it seemed!), higher floors and rooms were extremely quiet (we had rooms on 25th and 28th floors). The newly renovated rooms were impeccable. The view on the strip is great, but the green net on the outside of most windows makes it somewhat diificult to see clearly.

We very much so enjoyed our stay at the MGM Grand. The hotel room was very clean. We enjoyed the lounges and gambling at the casino.

The room was clean when I arrived and cleaned daily by house keeping. Looked like a new room every day. Room service was pretty quick and catered to our dietary needs. The MGM is in a descent location, near the south end of the strip. Makes it fairly easy to get in and out with Valet or self-parking. From there you can easily walk to NY-NY and Excalibur, or hop on the tram. I typically stay at a condo in Vegas, but it was nice having the Vegas entertainment, MGM Pool, and casino for a change. Although the rates seemed a bit absurd, the convenience of being near my friends was worth while.

Good for conventions. First stop on monorail, good restaurants

hotel was in the process of a renovtion, we ended up in an older room.1970's decorations were a trip, but room was clean and all personnell was nice.

Everytime I go to Las Vegas i book at the MGM! Always had a good experience...The Check in took a while, however i was very satisfied with the service...I only got the girls first name "Jillian" thansk for your help!

While the hotel doesn't have the must-see features of a Bellagio or Venetian, it is well-appointed and comfortable and has a ton of excellent restaurants and shops. A big negative, though, is the fact that they charge for everything. Bring your own inner tube down to the river pool? Nope -- confiscated, you pay the daily charge to rent one. Want to sit under an umbrella at the pool? You can't, presumably because they'd rather rent you a cabana. Etc.

The room was comfortable and clean...however the walls seemed paper thin as I could hear all hallway conversations as people walked by. Also after booking our room through Hotel.com, we still had to pay an additional hefty daily Service Fee charged by the hotel.

The only problem I had was, poor reception for my BlackBerry. Had to use land line in the room which was very expensive. Also, couldn't get on line.

Stay was fun you never know who will be in casino spotted several celebrities. Lively atmosphere on casino floor. Lively group of guests.

We were a bit disappointed that we didn"t get our wake up call on Sunday morning which made us late for our seminar. We also asked for an hour later check out but we were told no.

MGM has plenty going on and is a huge hotel. Room comfortable but would have appreciated cofee/tea making facilities as it was a good 5-10 minute hike down the long corridor to the elevators, then through the casino to get a drink. No fridge in the room either. Obviously it is to get you out of your room and spending. We are a mature couple and the music downstairs was intrusive- but I guess that's Vegas- even by the pool there was no escape, very hip hop or rock so always a constant relentless beat. The pools were really good. By the elevators it did go to country or ballads and there was none in the rooms, so you could have a rest from it. The MGM is starting a refurb, the Hollywood Theatre with David Copperfield was a highlight of the stay. A small intimate theatre as opposed to the big arena. The location is the southern end of the strip, we never got to the older parts, always a queue at the concierge's desk, so did not get much info re what to see, but just walking the strip has plenty to see, the Bellagio with the spring flower display, like Macey's in New York was spectacular and so too Venezia, with a mini Venice inside, complete with singing gondoliers.

Apparently shampoo at 3am is too much to ask of a 24hr business. I even went down to the desk and they would do anything for me. I even asked if I could go meet housekeeping and they said no. They were unwilling to help me. They said they didn't know where housekeeping was ATM. All they had to do was pick up a phone. I also had to call down for a tooth brush and paste. Even the cheapest hotels I stayed in had them in the room complementary. I was in a suite. They denied me late check out because the hotel was full, understandable. But it was 10am, check in is at 3. They could of been more flexable. They wouldn't even let me in my room until 2. So then I needed to leave bags, they said I could with the concierge. After standing in line for 40mins I was told that I actually have to leave my bags at another counter. So I find the counter to leave bags. A couple employees are on the phone with guest. The one free employee tells me is I want to leave bags "that's the line" and points to a line that is easily 2hrs long. Meanwhile no ones bags are being taken. My expectations were not met or exceeded in any way on my birthday.

There was no fresh air in the room. There was also a smell of smoke from cigarettes around the building, upon visiting other hotels on the strip it was apparent that our hotel lacked the fresh newer feeling and smell... I understand they are renovating, but until it is finished it is not very good. I would stay there again, buit would prefer the north end over and over ...

Meh. Stayed here for 4 days with family. The prices on Hotels.com looked in line with other hotels in Las Vegas - but it turns out that there is a $25 charge for just about everything else but breathing. The restaurants were very good quality and there was a nice variety - but loud and dated rock music blaring at every venue sort of ruined the atmosphere in the nicer ones. Likewise the pool, where the loud music blasting from every orifice sometimes competed with other orifices. SAVE your $600 - $800 minimum per day to rent a cabana - they are merely curtains drawn up, no Air conditioning or misters or safe boxes - just some stained furniture. And nice attendants who try to help you order that much food and drink. Cabana food was VERY ordinary - drinks high, so maybe getting drunk makes the cabana more palatable. Front desk is a mob scene at best. Breakfast choice is limited to a food court type atmosphere with choice of Starbucks, McDonalds, and a couple of other franchise places. Yuck
