Holiday Inn La Mirada - لا ميرادا

I have stayed here extensively over the last three years, but the hotel appears to be in decline. just finished a three night stay there - Two of the three elevators not working. Beds and pillows uncomfortable (same beds and pillows from three years ago!) Curtains had holes in them. We actually moved to the Hyatt regency orange county for our fourth night. New male manager not as friendly as the past female one. My next trip is in two weeks and i just booked the Hyatt ROC

Front desk service was outstanding. Housekeeping service was attentive. Loved that a Red Robin was attached, and that an In-N-Out was only a block away. Easy access to LA and Orange County. Room decor and furniture were outstanding. On the bad side, keyboard/computer for TV did not work. Room key wasn't programmed for whole stay, so had to get it redone.

Not only was I exhausted upon arrival, but I also don't have much experience traveling alone and dealing with the mundane issues such as operating the TV without having to pay extra, operation of the shower, etc. When I asked the front desk clerk whether the TV had my favorite channel she kindly and quickly sent someone up to my room to demonstrate the TV and show it worked just fine and carried my station. I left a notebook at the front desk and another clerk returned it later with a smile. It was so nice to have friendly service and a clean, comfortable room, temperature perfect, close to elevator. Attached restaurant served excellent food and was very convenient. Altogether a great experience. Thank you, Holiday Inn - La Mirada, and Hotels.com for helping me streamline my reservation.

The employees were very customer service oriented. The room was pleasant. I liked that it has a Red Robin Restaurant connected to the Hotel--you could enter right off of the lobby. One thing I did not appreciate is the amount for incidentals hold on my credit card. I paid in advance for my room, so being treated as if I would skip out on any incidentals I would owe is not exactly the welcome wagon I would hope for. It caused me to feel like I was guilty until being proven innocent. Incidentally (yes, pun intended) I didn't owe anything for incidentals upon check-out.

I paid an extra $30 for breakfast for 4 adult per night (total of $60 for my staying) through hotels.com. But the hotel front desk gave us only $20 voucher eventhough we reserved with breakfast included option which cost an extra $30/night. The voucher was for Red Robin which it costs us $12.95 ($51.80)+ tax and tip. The food was terrible, all dried out. We could not eat anything. We just ate some fruits and drank coffee and juices.

Very nice customer service by front desk staff (Jacob). Due to our personal circumstances our room was upgraded. Eating establishments nearby.

Overall it met my requirements for a business stay over. The rooms was very clean and the bed was very confortable. The restaurant in the hotel was nice and within my price range and food range. The only problem I had was accessing the fitness room. I was not sure if it was include with the room cost. I did peek into the room and only saw bikes and treadmills. If I was able to get in I has hoping to see a equipment to do bench press. It would be nicer if the room had a small fridge, microware and a better coffee maker with better choice of creamer. Since it is a business trip, I sometimes stay late to address work issues and might want something cold (Yorgurt, ice cream, orange juice) or hot snacks or left over. Sometime I have 2 - 3 cups of coffee a night. Overall I had a good experience.

the room key system was broken, so staying there reminded me of what it was like in dorm rooms with curfews - can't get back to your room without an escort

no coffee in my room, to crowded and not enough employees to service such large groups of tourists, had to wait.

The key card system failed. As a result, the only way into your room was to have someone from the hotel let us in. I felt like I was in prison.

Convient to locations that I needed to get to and quiet.

This hotel is a very nice, quiet, and comfortable hotel. The room was very nice and was very clean. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and courteous. There is a restaurant in the hotel, and 2 very good ones across the street. I'd happily stay here again next time in La Mirada.

This hotel was 5min away from Knott's and has a Red Robin adjoining the lobby. It was great and the staff was very nice and helpful. Everything was clean. There are a ton of nice restaurants nearby.

Had a pleasant experience at this hotel. I was visiting LA and this is under 30 mins from where all the action is. Rooms are clean and fairly up to Holiday Inn standards. It is also very close to Inn and Out burgers, so you won't have to go hungry anytime.

i was what I expected for the value nothing fancy or nice. The airconditoer made a lot of noise and the beds were very uncomfortable. My wife prefered floor over bed.

good staff and polite. Room not really big but tidy.

I needed a cheap, clean, safe, comfortable place to stay between Carlsbad and North Hollywood, and this did the trick on all counts. It's a Holiday Inn so you shouldn't expect too much, but it's a nice enough spot and the bed's plenty comfortable.

Nice hotel, especially for the Price...it was much better than the extended stay just around the corner from there.

I've stayed a number of places in S California and this hotel rates highest for being business friendly. The internet access is free and very easy to access; parking is good; the hotel rooms are definitely designed for the business traveler. There is a great restaurant just across the street. My only complaint is that this is a very industrial area and there isn't much else around for amenities. Other than that, it is great!

The hotel was quiet and clean. The staff was polite and helpful. Would stay there again.

I had reserved a room with 2 beds, when I arrived they gave me a room with a king size bed with no place for my 7 year old son to sleep. I was told that the room type was not guaranteed. They offered me a rollaway but said there would be a surcharge. I came back later that night and the night clerk sent up a rollaway with NO Charge afterall. Customer Service is what it's all about!

Nothing fancy, but adequate. Would really suggest switching from two double beds to two queen beds in the rooms. Doubles are just too small. Also wish the rooms had a microwave and small fridge.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Nothing above and beyond, but definately a good deal for the money. It was convenient to everything in La Mirada, and hotel staff were happy to give directions. No breakfast though, and the hotel restaurant was expensive.

Will stay at this hotel every time I am in the area. Convenient location, clean room; courteous, helpful staff.

This hotel was excellent in convenience and quality. It made access to our family and the freeway simple yet without the noise of the freeway. The only thing I didn't like was the ice machine didn't work on our floor and I needed to go to another floor to have ice for our cooler.

It's just like the pictures. It was so nice and pleasant there. Next to many restaurants. Even walking distance! I had accidently booked a smoking room but the clerk was nice enough to fix that for me. No probelm at all. Everything was nearby. Very convienient. Id book another room there next time I have a weekend getaway.

we checked in at 3:05 p.m. and were in the room about a half hour when there was a noise at the door. before i realized what was happening, someone walked in the room! I started yelling, and a female says 'sorry, sorry, sorry' and shuts the door. we sat in shock for a few minutes, then got ready and went to the lobby. I told them what happened, and no one had checked in since we had, so they determined it must have been the housekeeping supervisor checking on the maids work. i was hot! check in is at 3, it is a resonable expectation that people have checked in, why doesn't the front desk communicate with housekeeping, and why doesn't the supervisor knock?
