Arthotel Munich - ميونيخ

The reason for booking the Arthotel was that I had to attend a meeting in the next street and, in that respect, it could not have been more convenient. It also proved a good location from which to go sightseeing.The staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet was most acceptable. My only two negative observations were a lack of "airflow" or "airconditioning" in the rooms - not too much of a problem now but would be in warmer weather and no tea / coffee making facitilies in the room. For the price, it was value for money.

Really nice hotel. The name Art Hotel is appropriate because the hotel is very nicely decorated. I was in the Pop Art floor and my room was full of Andy Warhol pictures. Breakfast is good and Location near the main station is also very convenient.

The Arthotel was a resonably priced family hotel, centrally located without any bells and whistles. The room for 4 was a bit snug for 3 nights, but sufficed.

Room was clean and decent size for a European hotel. Bathroom/shower exceeded expectations. Breakfast was great with a large variety. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Room was made up each day. Location was very convenient to Central Station and transportation. All in all a very good experience. Would stay there again.

Great service. Wifi is a bit hard to access but ask the front desk and they will give you your password. The Breakfast was great! fresh bread, coffee, tea, hot chcolate, great juice, cereal, cold cuts, cheese, eggs, bacon,yogurt,fruit,toast with butter cream cheese or nutella.Front desk staff very helpful Rooms a bit small but adequate. Great for travel from the train station.

That hotel is definitely a good place to sta in Munich. 5 minutes from the central station with really nice room and good breakfast.

op to expectation small room but I knew that, good location clean, good brakfast and good service from staff. good for that price.

Cannot praise this hotel highly enough for the price. Good room with large walk in shower room. Breakfast of great variety with something for everyone. Would definitely stay again.

Just two blocks from the train station, with a great buffet breakfast included. Extremely clean and helpful staff.

Overall good value for money. Location is 5 mins walk from the main station and you can take various forms of transport (buses, trams, u-bahn, s-bahn) from there around the City. Neighbourhood around the hotel is not the prettiest but we didn't feel unsafe. We booked two family rooms for one night. One of the rooms was much larger than the other and had a very much more modern bathroom (walk in wet room shower etc). The smaller room was much more dated. The hotel facilities are fairly basic but good value for the money. The staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent. If you are driving there make sure you book a garage parking space beforehand. We didn't and had to park in a car park 3 blocks away (although the hotel had a deal for that car park for Euros 10 a day).

It's close to the train station, Marienplatz and the Augustiner Keller. The only con is that the floor got wet from our winter boots. It's laminate and I don't see it lasting very long if they don't provide mats inside. Recommend taking off wet stuff before going in. Very cool decor.

I really enjoyed this hotel... I had a single room, which was quite small on first glance, but had everything I needed. Great location for the train station. Breakfast was very good & substantial- alot of variety... I stayed there in early February when it was snowing & my room was always very warm... Staff friendly, especially the breakfast staff & cleaners. Reception staff are friendly although could smile a little more My only complaint was about the pillows- very soft & uncomfortable!

Nice fresh modern hotel so central to the main station. Would definitely stay there again.

It has good location, 400m to central station and 2km to Marienplatz. And room was wide and clean. Especially bath room was really wide. But shower booth in my room does not have door, so much water drops went out of the booth. Breakfast was also good. It looked many people choose this hotel for family. I think it is good choice. However near hotel, there is no convenience store. I should go to the station. Except that, everything was good. You will enjoy. I recommend.

The staff was friendly and my room was comfortable. I don't know what the other rooms are like but I assume they are all different. This is one of those hotels with themed rooms in different art styles. That was not why I chose it but it was a nice alternative to the usual hotel room decor. My room had chrome deer's heads on the walls and clouds painted on the ceiling. Free breakfast buffet with pretty standard fare for German hotels. There is no restaurant for dinner, but you can order food from the bar and bring it to your room yourself, or for an extra charge they will deliver it. Internet in the room was free when I was there, but that may not always be the case; on the web site it says it's only free in public areas. The room price was great. This was January, so it's probably more in the summer.

This hotel is in a pretty good location for access to the main railway station - less than 5 minutes walk. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast buffet quite good - overall a good experience.

Funky hotel - staff were great, the bar was fabulous. 5 minute walk to HBF. Great for short term stay.

I chose this hotel thinking it would be cool to stay at a place with modern art displays. The location was very convenient and we were able to find it easily from the train station. My older son's first impression from the lobby was that it was the coolest hotel he had ever been to. However, when we went to our room, there was a distinctly bad odor, so I opened the windows. We arrived late, and he took a shower in the beautiful and recently remodelled bathroom. But the shower drain was improperly built and water flowed everywhere, flooding the bathroom. He had to use all of the towels just to keep the water contained and not flow into the main room. The hotel staff were very accomodating and helpful, bringing us towels the next morning, but I experienced the same thing with the shower. The breakfast buffet was large and delicious, but it was difficult to compensate for flooding and the sewer-like odor in the room. Its a pity that the room was not checked for this problem prior to our arrival.

its not the nicest hotel on earth, however, it is very close to the city center and the rooms are clean with fairly comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. The staff was very helpful as well when I asked for general directions and advice on Christmas Markets.

My friend and I stayed here for a few nights while visiting the Christmas Markets. We found the hotel excellent value for money, within easy walking distance of MarienPlatz , very polite helpful staff and a great breakfast. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, friendly no frills hotel in Munich and YES I would stay there again!

The room had a really funny shape (long and narrow) - there was hardly room to walk around the bed. This hotel is ok for one night if you need to take a train, otherwise I wouldn't choose it.

Great place to stay and near the Munich Station (10 min walk) We (family of 4) stay in arthotel twice and each time in the family room that is clean and spacious. 20 walk to the main Main Platz where all the main activities are. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

Great location by being close to the train station. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Room was clean an comfortable.

Arthotel is a 5 minute walk from the Munich Main train station and has easy connections to the sights by walking, S- U-bahn and trams. The room I stayed is small but comfortable and has amenities like a minibar and safe. Free wireless internet available in the room. The toilet is clean and equiped with a bath and is suprisingly spacious. The hotel is in an old building refurbished in the modern style. The elevator service is barely adequate, otherwise there are no other complaints. The staff is friendly and the included buffet is very good with lots of food choice to meet all needs. Although rates may vary, but for the period I styed, it was good value for money.

Just a short walk from the Bahnhof railway station which was very convenient. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. The room was clean and spacious with a newly fitted wetroom shower. Tea & coffee facilities in the room would have been nice though.

The hotel is conveniently located near the bahnhof. Clean and spacious rooms. The bathroom was large. Decent closet space. Breakfast spread was wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay here.

I found ARTHOTEL an excellent choice for my stay in Munich. It is a short walk from the main train station (and easy to find) and a reasonable walk to the main shopping and tourist attractions in old Munich. The city's public transportation system is easy to use, so being close to access to many of these options makes it "close" to all of Munich's sights. The breakfast offers a wide selection of fresh breads & toppings (Nutella, cream cheese, butter, jams), meats & cheeses, beverages, as well as eggs and sausage. Hotel staff were very helpful, always available, and (important for me) were fluent in English.

I have stayed here before, and I cannot fault the place. Great location, friendly and helpful staff, and super clean. Breakfast was great, although crowded (must have been the school holidays). My room was very small, but this is typical of Europe.

Excellent staff extremely friendy. Breakfast excellent rooms clean etc.. Very close to transport and city centre. I would recommend this hotel highly to any persons seeking accommodation. We stayed in triple room and found it excellent.

This is a really good place to stay when in Munich. It is so close to the central station. The breakfast is super! The road is really noisy and they have no airco, so I would not stay here during the summer.

This hotel was convenient for the Oktoberfest location, however, the rooms were ok, bathrooms were less than satisfactory--bath towels were so old & disgusting! I realize it is loud during the fest celebration, but our main lobby & hallways shouldn't be a loud party zone as they were at times. The front desk people were not friendly either. The daily breakfast was actually very good. I wouldn't stay here again--especially for the price we paid!!!

I stayed at the Arthotel Munich while attending Oktoberfest this year. The location is quite convenient if you are arriving by train, or take the train from the airport... only about a 10 minute walk to the hotel. Also the Oktoberfest grounds are an easy walk from the hotel, which is nice if you've had too much to drink. Breakfast buffet was included and was very good -- fresh and tasty with lots of variety. It's a little bit of a walk to the historical districts in Munich, if that's your primary interest, but you can always take the metro from the nearby train station. Overall a very positive experience.

During our three night stay, we enjoyed the comfort of the beds and convenience of the hotel to the train station. But, when we were there it was unusually hot and had to sleep with the window open and fan blowing into the room. The street was noisy, but it eventually became white noise and we slept fine.

This hotel is an excellent location for those attending Octoberfest. Near train station and faregrounds. It was very pricey because it was Octoberfest. There are no rugs or carpet so it can be very noisy. Breakfast was good and free internet service. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

The hotel is an old school or office building, some of those "architecture crimes" built for function, not for beauty in the 60s. Moxst of those buildings are detonated today which is justified. The Hotel people surely have made the absolute best out of such a building if it is decided to let it stand. It is right in the middle of the city, 150 m (450 ft) from the main station. If guests arrive by car the hotel has a deal with the municipal parking garages where cars can be left on reduced flat rates (the own garage seems to be too small). In Munich that fact alone is a miracle. The rooms are newly renovated and very clean (not highly luxurious and don't forget a microscope for the 12'' monitor of the TV-set. A combination of value, location and (Miracle Nr.2) incredible friendlieness of the staff, throughout atypical for the country of Bavaria, many families with children or students take the place as location. Breakfast therefore is school catering style and noise level. The kids surely will have many friends within minutes and the "Elderly" can consider to explore Munich one time by themselves. The place is worth a visit for the empoyees alone, whichs friendlieness and helpfulness is unseen in Bavaria anywhere else, even at places 100 times more "precious" which means expensive.. I liked it and if I will go to Munich next time I'll take it again. One urgent advice: Leaving the parking garage burn into your mind EXACTLY the place where you left the car, the entrance and exit of the garage, how you came there and the exact itinerary you returned. You won't find the entrance of the garage otherwise, even it just 2 blocks away. Those garages were obviously bult by specialists for camouflage. After leaviing my car I met some people after hours having found the entrance of the garage and I was warned and took the warning serious: next time I take it triple serious. It is not so boring there

The hotel was reasonable for its priceclass, the room I was in was right next to the elevator though, so it was very loud and there were a lot of strange drilling noises going on throug the night, and generally it sounded like the neighbours were about to stomp right in to the room. The staff were helpful though and the breakfast was great. The area was slightly shady, but this could be expected as it was by the Hauptbahnof.

The rooms were large and very comfortable. We will return the next time we are in Munich.
