This Hotel is average at best and needs updating and a refresh. For $20 more I would stay at the Raddison in the future.

I stayed there on a Wednesday night and the staff was awesome. The guy at the front desk called me a cab to go out and was really nice and helpful. Friendly people as far as staff ! Loved the underground parking garage. Loved that it only cost around 5$ for cabs to go to the clubs !! very comfortable !! fast wifi ! their ATM sucks though ! thats the only thing ! enjoy

Breakfast is crap! Bathrooms need to be renovated as well elevator's were down to one. On way to TO and on way back both were working...but, location is great....bed was king and waterview as I read another's comments that it would be quieter...also Fri night noisy/drunk people head'g to their room at 2/3am and woke us up not impressed with that.

We were very happy with the friendly staff, great location and beautiful views of St. Lawrence in the "lake view" room. It probably offers the nicest view of any hotel in downtown Kingston. More panoramic than the others. The room itself had a well lived in look but it was just fine for us.

Woke up very stuffy in the morning with a headache. I have a mold allergy. After my shower I noted the bathroom smelled funny and when I looked at the ceiling I could see black / gray / fuzzy mold growing along the cracks in the ceiling. It was well established and stunk. Easy to clean with some bleach if anyone wanted to deal with the issue but the fact it was so established speaks volumes about how clean the rooms are eeeeeeeeeeewwwww ! ! ! ! !

The rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is excellent, The facility is a little "tired" and could definitely do with a facelift. Overall it's a convenient place to stay within walking distance of the Market, Restaurants, the Harbour and City Hall. The only real issue is parking, which is first come first served - and there is not enough for everyone. However there is a Private Parking lot across the street, with comparable rates to what the hotel charges

Hotel room was nice enough but hallways all smelt like stale smoke. Great downtown location. Clean. Breakfast was okay. Didn't like the fact that you needed a credit card for them to take $50 off, just incase you watch any movies or damaged the room overnight. We are used to a credit card being swiped for the details but to go as far as taking $50 off is crazy! Underground parking way too expensive. Wasn't told at check in that there was a fee until We were checking out and said it was $16.95!! crazy. Other than that not bad hotel but will not be staying there again.

Pros: Great location, very inexpensive (use hotels.com or similar when booking since hotel's website prices are much higher), clean comfortable beds, nice sized rooms, very friendly lobby staff. Cons: Cleaners cut corners on bathroom cleaning, hallways & elevators smell smoky, expensive parking.

Worst hotel experience ever. Room smelled like smoke. Domestic fight in neighboring room woke us up at 3AM!! Terrible continental breakfast. Never again.

We looked under the bed and found a foam take out container with a bit of food in it which didn't belong to us but rest of room was okay.

Continental breakfast was great. Good location downtown. Fitness room and hot tub were terrible and smelled like smoke and chemicals

All i can say, it is not a hotel. It is a big motel. The worst part is that i had to take a cold shower in winter.

This hotel served our purposes. It was clean and within walking distance of the venue we were attending. When we checked-in I asked about parking and was told to swing around to the side and they'd let me in. There was no mention of a charge. It wasn't until I got my credit card bill that I noticed the $15 charge! When I called to question the charge, the clerk said it was standard and there is no free parking in the Kingston downtown. I asked why I wasn't told at check-in and how much the overnight parking directly across the street? he said he did know the rate across the street and you should have been told. A little late now, I said.

The Hotel was very convienent and reasonable priced but nothing fancy

Room had no hot water and heater did not work well on a -30 degree Celsius day

This is a good average hotel along Kingston's waterfront. It used to be a HoJo for many years, so it's dated but has also had some renovations done. There was in in-room fridge which was nice. It was clean and the staff were friendly. One of the nights there was an extremely loud party going on until 4:30 a.m. in the room next door and once I called the front desk someone came right up and the noise stopped. Overall I would give this place 3 stars.

If you want an affordable waterview room, this is one way to go for sure. But our room was cold (and the heater is one you only find in cheap motels anymore), it took us a 10 minute wait to get hot water for our morning shower, and the halls and elevator smelled terrible. We'd stayed here a year ago, and it was ok for the money...not this time.

Staff was great, breakfast was very good for a continental breakfast, room was very clean and comfortable, though bathroom would need some renovations. It was also pet friendly. The only thing I negative is that we were not informed that there was a $15 charge for underground parking. That should be free for customers.

I'd stayed here once before to meet up with some friends in Kingston and found it okay. Parking's not included, and its easiest just to pay the money and shove your car in the underground lot. Kingston's a city where they're trying to make money off street parking. Location is okay -- you're in downtown and you can just walk around. Breakfast was rather crap, but nice that something was included.

We opted for this hotel because of how close it was to where we needed to be. My only issue was that the charge for parking was NOT known until we actually checked in. This would have been good to know pre booking as we would have booked somewhere where parking was FREE!

Everything was great, location, beautiful sunrises, great waterfront view and the service was good. Two complaints would be the fitness room and the cost for parking. Still a good place to stay.

Parking is ridiculous. There was no space on the elevator level. My husband had to park on the lower level and hump the bags up a flight of stairs. The room was spacious, nice harbour view, good linens and large flat screen t.v. The continental breakfast was adequate.

This hotel had a fantastic view of the lake and was conveniently located by the waterfront with restaurants, stores, parks. The service was excellent, very friendly and the underground secured parking an asset. Very comfortable beds.

The rooms were very nice and clean with up-to-date furniture but the hallways need some attention. The view of the lake was spectacular. The underground parking was handy but be prepared to pay extra for the convenience.

Safety issue, there was a electrical panel in the hallway where anyone could have access to on the 6th floor. I am not sure of the other floors. Good staff, good room, good location. The breakfast could be turned up a notch but it is free so good for them.

We enjoyed our stay at Confederation Place Hotel. The front desk was very friendly and accommodating. I will go back to use this hotel.

It was in a great spot, my room was clean and the staff was wonderful.

I Can't think of any issues I had with it other than a lack of parking at the hotel itself.

Have stayed her before and it was great. This time however their was no on site parking. It had to be purchased across the street necessitating us to get up by 7:00 a.m and go across the street to renew parking for the day. The continental breakfast was good quality but the dining room was so cold I had to back up to the room to get my coat. All the food, plates, utensils were freezing cold. Please turn on the heat and make a deal for parking with the lot across the street until you get your renovations completed.

Location really good - hotel & rooms little run down, but clean - parking across street easily accessible, but will cost $20 for full day. We had a room with a door for the ajoining room - was very noisy - could hear the guy's normal voice telephone conversations & TV - VERY difficult to sleep - stay away from ajoining rooms unless you know those next door.

We love visiting Kingston, the people here are so welcoming. After one day we were already having people at the local bars and restaurants welcoming us back. We did the Haunted walk which is right across the road from the Confederation place hotel, now we want to do the walk in Ottawa. We probably spent too much time at the Kingston Brewing Company, but we just love that place. This is not our first time staying at the Confederation place hotel and it won't be our last. I'm not sure why it only gets 2 1/2 stars because we had a hard time finding any faults here.

Everything was fine......but the parking situate.

The location of this hotel is fantastic - right on the water. The service was satisfactory. The breakfast was basic. I don't know if it was the end of the season but the hotel carpets were very grubby and stained on our floor. The walls were in rough shape in some spots. For the price I would have expected something a little classier and not so run down. The rooms were spacious and the air conditioning was wonderful. For the price I would have expected something a little classier and not so run down. Only one elevator was working so got lots of exercise on the stairs - an unexpected health benefit I suppose. Would I recommend this hotel? Maybe during off season rates...
