It was my birthday they added so many complementary services to make my special day even more memorable. Nothing to complaint about.

The hotel is very good and the location is great. The supplement for the river view is not worth it except perhaps for one night. The supplement for the club floor is worth it, but getting a real drink is quite a struggle.One orders a whisky and 10 minutes later a very small drink is obtained like one has challenged Islam.

Had a fantastic stay at the Intercontinental Cairo Semiramis. Very good service. I had arranged for early check in, which the hotel graciously arranged with no additional costs.

Overall the hotel was a good base for our three day stay in Cairo. It was clean, spacious room, complimentary fruit on arrival and a bottle of water each day. There weren't that many tourists which meant we didn't have to queue for anything - eg pyramids, egyptian museum. There were a lot of taxi drivers trying to get our business and saying 'no thanks' did get tiring! This hotel had a good location, close to the Nile and Tahrir Square.

We were there during the protests. The hotel provides a safe haven with excellent restaurants and service. Will stay there in the future.

We stayed at the Semiramis mainly because of the location, on the Nile river and just off Tahrir Square. We were not disappointed. Definitely get a Nile view room if possible. Food is excellent, although the restaurants would probably be busier if the prices were slightly more in line with the surrounding restaurants in downtown Cairo. The "touts" waiting outside the hotel can be annoying and unrelenting. The hotel could do a better job of monitoring the facility as we were typically solicited before leaving the grounds of the hotel. On the plus side, they offer good prices for rides all over Cairo. Overall the hotel was very clean, staff was friendly, and the rooms were beautiful!

There is a need to improve their quality and speed of service. It required three or four reminders in some cases to get the service asked for/entitled. However, there was prompt and courteous service from the guest relations manager when the issue was brought to her notice.

Excellent hotel. Right across the street from the Egyptian Museum. Centrally located in the heart of downtown. Overlooking the Nile and walking distance to all the attractions. Will definitely stay here again

An excellent choice of hotels, My sister, a friend and I stayed at the Semiramis for 4 nights and had the MOST AMAZING time. The staff were fantastic, from the moment we checked in at 7.30am to the day we checked out. The breakfasts were very very good and so were the happy hours. In fact we never bought food. Breakfast lasted until 3pm, when the hotel provided drinks and snacks and then 6.30pm hot snacks which were substantial and filled our stomachs. We met a few people who conned us on day trips but it was still worth it and we didnt really mind, but will know for next time. We definitely will go back to Egypt soon and definitely will stay at Semiramis again. Thank you Intercontinental Semiramis for making our stay in Egypt such a great experience.

This hotel was very beautiful, with wonderful rooms. They had great restaurants with in the hotel. The 2 problems that we ran into was that they wanted to charge me more than what was discussed on the phone with hotel.com and the intercontinental about adding an additional person onto the room. The 2nd thing was the concierge service. We ask if they could get tickets for us on the sleeper train to Aswan. They said they could, but the didn't, and told the train was sold out. We then tried ourselves and were able to get the tickets. Every time we asked them a question it seemed like we were asking for the world. We got much better service from a hotel in Luxor that was half the price. But over all this is a really nice hotel.

The hotel is comparable to a five star resort in Las Vegas. (Minus the casino.) The hotel location is ideal as it is walking distance to the Cairo Museum, the American University, restaurants and shopping. The room itself was beautiful! It was by far, the nicest room in which we have stayed in Egypt. It may seem insignificant, but many of the other hotels only provide a shower in the bathroom, and the bathroom at the Semiramis has a bathtub - which comes in handy after hours of walking around the city! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful - as are all the people in Cairo - but it is best to remember that if people speak to you, they expect a tip.

Check in was 3 pm and the reception made us wait almost 45 minutes even though we reached there at 3:30 pm. Literally everything other than the basic room was extra-charge. Guided Tours from the hotel are over-rated and more interested in selling stuff than showing sights. The only good thing about this hotel is its location... it is close to downtown, the museum, felucca rides, etc.

After the initial unpleasant experience at main reception, the remainder of the stay here was excellent. I was directed to the reception at the Club Lounge, where the staff were much nicer, The room, bed and facilities are of a very high standard, housekeeping staff are spot on and extremely helpful, and the gym/spa is great. Location on the Nile is perfect. I'm glad i booked a club room, as you have access to the internet and the business area. The meals provided are sufficient, and very nice selection of deserts. I look forward to returning to Cairo again one day, and would definitely stay at this hotel.

I travel frequently and on any given week I can be staying in up to as many as four hotels. The service at The Intercontinental Cairo Semiramis is the best I have experienced anywhere in the world - blows away the service at most 5 Stars. This staff is absolutely exceptional. You name it - the concierge, guest services, housekeeping, the man who gives you your towel when you use the sauna, the servers in the cafe, even hotel security is pleasant. I don't know when, if ever, I have seen so many pleasant people working in one place in my life! Recommended for this reason alone. But there are other reasons to stay here too - like great food, magnificent views of the Nile, and the location for getting to places like The Egyptian Museum, The Opera House, the Metro (Coptic Cairo in about 10 minutes) or the wonderful madness of downtown - a short walk, In other, the rooms are classically opulent - so you won't get the modern design you find in many newer 5 stars. Still, the furnishings are of high-quality, and the beds and sheets are great. Stay here! Highly Recommended!

Check in for "club" rate on 18th floor was nice; the desk clerks were helpful (should NOT let anyone with sniffles work the desk); wait staff for breakfast and happy hour competent; Nile view room on 17th floor very nice; beds, pillows so good we didn't want to get up; nice location - took a walk along the bridge twice; wi-fi could be stronger; shop people pleasant; failed to provide robes, water for 2 guests; left food trash in room & forgot paper once; satisfied with location - would choose over Cairo Mariott; would stay here again

Everything was perfect about this hotel. The restaurants were great, and the location was very convenient. We definitely prefer the Zamalek if one is not hitting surrounding tourist spots, but if one needs to get elsewhere, the Intercontinental was great.

Salam. Well, the hotel was really good and the stuff was so friendly, everything was nice and great i loved the life inside the hotel,,full of energy the room was clean and comfort, the services were excellent , the check in and check out was smooth and quick . also the food was delicious , i extremely recommend the Italian restaurant in the second floor..they have a great Rizto i ever tested ,, also i loved the lounge ( Rithmo) i recommend it too in general i ve really enjoyed my stay there so much, its a decent place and convenience i recommended this hotel for the solo and family traveler its save and secure thank u

Be wary of the neighbors that ask you where your from if your obviously an American like me. The locals in the neighborhood will hound you to see there shops any chance they get. Resist at all costs no matter how charming they are. The hotel was great and it was refreshing to have a staff that didn't expect a tip for everything. Shop in the gift shop in the hotel, it is much cheaper than the Khan el-Khalili. The view of the Nile is a must. Also try the Scarabee boat trip across the street, a great bargain. I also booked my trip to Giza through the hotel and it was great.

Each room has a balcony. Room on the higher floors have an incredible view. On the West (where we stayed) we had amazing sunsets overlooking the Nile. On the East, incredible city views. The Hotel is one of few that serves alcohol. you will find that not many places serve (especially during religious periods), but I believe that since this is close to the US embassy and caters to many foreign clients that they feel they should. The pool lounge is comfortable and staff are quite kind.

Very clean, very good service, food is excellent. View on the the Nile is amazing! Definitely, I would go back!

Nos ha gustado la esperiencia en el Cairo a dos pasos del museo del cairo y con taxi a 5 minutos del Kalily centro de compras.

American style hotel but with character. The rooms with the Nile view give you the best opportunity to sit and watch over the city and the river. Confortable rooms but bathrooms should be renovated to up to date standards. Good choice of restaurants to choose from; you are right in the centre of the city, a few meters away from the museum and the main square. Overallo Satisfied
