For our first trip, the location of this hotel made it easy to have access to many of the must see places. It is very clost to cable cars and hop-on, hop-off transportation. The wharf is a short block away, where you will find great restaurants and shops. One cannot possibly do everything in San Francisco and the surrounding area in one trip. I recommend this hotel as a great place to start. Hotel room was very clean with current decor and wonderfully comfortable mattresses and bedding. There is a cafe that we ate at for breakfast that was reasonably priced.

I couldn't think of how the stay could have been improved — except it was annoying to have to re-login to the WiFi every time I got on the computer. (Minor annoyance)

I chose this hotel because my friends and I were running in a half marathon in SF and wanted a clean place close to the finish line. I was totally shocked at how comfy, clean and close the hotel was. It was close to food, the ocean, tourist spots and to my surprise I didn't hear any of it from my room! I will absolutely stay here again. Oh the only thing I didn't like was it is 36$ a day parking and I noticed there was a 10 dollar lot w/in walking distance. I was just taken by surprise.

we were on a tight schedule and the staff made it all so easy for us. The room was comfortable.

There was a man shouting in the alley at 8am in the morning about politics, which was an unwelcomed wake up call. Please have thicker windows, because we can't stop free speech.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms are clean and the overall quality of service is great.

Hotel was fine, service was great. Stayed on side of hotel next to a parking garage. The horn honking from the garage started around 6am, and carried on regularly until we checked out. When people lock their cars w an alarm, their horn honks; some cars have repeated honks (I've learned, sometimes up to five times!). This went on and on. I would stay somewhere else if you're wanting to sleep in. It's located in a touristy area -- good location for Fisherman's Wharf. The staff was great -- friendly and courteous. The guy at the front desk gave me a courtesy discount for my inconvenience w the honking. He said that usually people complain about the street noise if they stay on the other side of the hotel. Not a quiet neighborhood. Hotel is consistent w Marriott standard of cleanliness and service.

Pricey. Was comfortable. I would not return here due to price but would opt for properties a block or two away.

Great place to stay, Excellent service, and very good location.

We were very happy with the appearance of our room, the staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and for the price it was a great deal. We have stayed in a number of places in that area and the Courtyard San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf was by far our favorite. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in the city.

Very clean well appointed room at a great rate, that's what I was looking for, that's what I got. Updated lobby and rooms with a helpful staff...I'd recommend this Courtyard to anybody.

Nice room, pretty spacious. I think the room looked better than the pictures. Will definately stay again if I'm ever in the area.

Very comfortable, excellent location.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was clean and the staff was very helpful. We will stay here again. The only thing that wasn't great was our room was next to an alley and there were loud people walking through there throughout the night. That was not the hotels fault but I might ask for a room not on the alley next time.

Pros: Very clean and conveniently located. Great price on the room. Rooms are up to date. Cons: Our room was on the back side of the hotel, which was directly adjacent to a parking ramp. The ramp was VERY noisy, and it seemed every night there was a different group of drunken party-goers looking for the cars. Not to mention the trash trucks in the alley way in the middle of the night. Woke me up each night. Also, not sure if it was just the room I was in (233), but there was constant foot traffice overhead typically until 1-2 am. I pounded loudly on the ceiling to no avail. I can't believe anyon in a room would do THAT much walking back and forth, and thought maybe it was some sort of maintenance room, but I never pursued it with the hotel staff, so I can't say they wouldn't have tried to move me. Overall, I would probably try it again, but think I would insist on the top floor street-side.

If you are going to Fisherman's Wharf, this hotel is perfect. The hotel was a few blocks from the Wharf. There was a parking garage next door with free in and out privileges for $25 overnight if you stayed at the hotel. I would highly recommend staying here.

The exterior of the hotel appears tacky but the rooms are newly furbished and quite nice. The staff was outstanding. The bellhop arranged to have our suitcases put in our car before we returned from a day of touring, the concierge slipped reading material under our door that pertained to our trip, and the valet were very courteous. The hotel is located a few blocks from the cable car depot and a short but strenuous walk to Lombard street.

The room was spacious, clean and the queen sized beds a plus. I traveled with my 3 teenage children and we all slept comfortably. The hotel service was great in getting us extra pillows, blankets, and towels. The only non-positive comment I have...we were there to see the 49ers game. I asked the concierge for transportation options and he seemed confident with what he provided. The day of the game, I double checked his information and he had a different response. We made it to the game, but 15 minutes prior to kickoff, when we had hoped to be there at least an hour before. Just double check with the concierge before embarking on an outing. Otherwise, great stay.

Stayed here for two nights in November. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, and every staff person we met went above and beyond in providing great service. Special thanks to the valet, Johnny, who arranged for cabs, took care of our car and helped with anything else we asked. Great job! Definitely will stay here again.

This was a great hotel. Very clean, very friendly staff, great location if you are looking to do the tourist thing at the wharf. Walked pretty much everywhere, walking distance to cable cars too. They only do valet parking so be prepared for $36.00 per day parking fee. A little noisy in the morning, traffic etc but over all very satisfied and would definately stay here again

Enjoyed all aspects of the hotel except the "complimentary" wifi never worked. Very clean and comfortable and the staff are incredibly friendly.

Perfect location for a tourist. Rooms were comfortable and large. Clean updated bathrooms. Location perfect for all tourist sites. The pier is just a block away, close to the cable cars, walking distance to most sites.

Perfect location for us. A little noisy but about what you'd expect.

Room was very clean,close to many eating establishments&many site seeing adventures. I would rate the San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf a 4.5.

This was a nice, clean, quiet room. Service was great and the lobby was nice. The location is prime with the hotel right next to bike renal places, a Walgreens, great breakfast places, and shops. The price is a bit high for this type of hotel, but you can't get much better at this location.

The hotel staff was A+ they were friendly and remebered us. When we asked for information they were very informative. The location of the hotel was perfect for us. Everything we were looking for was right there. There was also a bus stop around the corner if we needed it. The room was very comfortable. the only thing I would say that was unconfortable was the noise outside. we were on the second floor with a busy walkway below so there was alot of noise when we were trying to go to sleep.

My boss & his family traveled from France to CA for a) work in Anaheim b) vacation afterward. It was important that I book something nice & affordable so I read all of the hotel reviews (for the SF portion of our trip). I'm glad I did! DEFINITELY bring ear plugs because there is a lot of activity throughout the night near the pier. The rooms were comfortable & well-appointed. The 2 queen beds (as opposed to full size) were exactly what my boss' family needed. If you have a car, it is $36 / night to valet. The hotel is booked year round & they are busy. Do call ahead if you need your car & follow-up with the pick-up request. Both times we called for our car it wasn't ready. The staff was apologetic & hustled to meet our needs. Do trust staff recommendations! One of our favorite meals was directly behind the hotel at Pompei's Grotto. If you want to stay near the water, this is a great hotel.

This hotel is in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf. The hotel was clean and the room was spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this establishment.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Courtyard Marriott!!! Courteous, friendly, helpful service. Everyone was just great! Highly recommend it. We would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I enjoyed the hotel, it was easy to find, clean and the staff very helpful. The parking fee was steep but to be able to leave the truck and take public transport bought us time to enjoy the city instead of looking for parking where ever we wanted to browse.

This was an extremely well maintained hotel within walking distance to everything at Fishermans Wharf. The Lobby was not as elegant as one might expect, but with all the best tourist areas a short walk away, who is going to hang out in the lobby? The room was huge, nicely appointed in a minimalist style. My only complaint was that it smelled as if someone had spilled air freshener in the room. It was eye burning strong. Had I not been so exhausted the first night, I would have asked for a room change. After running the air conditioner/fan through the night, the smell had mostly dissipated. The towels/linens were somewhat below the quality that I would have expected, but did I mention the incredible location? The staff were wonderful, courteous, and professional. The valet parking is very convenient and well staffed. And again, the location was the best. I would most definitely stay here again, and would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of touring that part of San Francisco.

After checking in at 11:30 p.m. for a quick 12 hours stay, I awoke to find my desk, handbag and briefcase covered in ants that were streaming in through the closed window. While the hotel staff was quick to move me to another room, I was cleaning ants out of my laptop and purse for the next two hours.
