Park Central New York Hotel - نيويورك

I recommend this hotel for the one night stay that we experienced. If it were a longer stay, then the below inconveniences would have needed to be addressed. The staff were mostly pleasant, with one exception. Called for early check-in. Person I spoke with was pleasant and accomodating. However, upon checking-in, the desk attendant was unaware of the arrangement, annoyed by the inconvenience and questioned our word. In the end, we were able to check-in early, but were a little put-off by the attitude. Overall, the room was fine. We had two problems: 1. The window cooling/heating unit did not cool the room a degree, despite being set to max cool for over 10 hours. We returned to the room late at night, so we didn't bother to complain. 2. I am the furthest thing from a neat freak and usually don't notice nit-picky things, but there was an odd stain on the quasi-bedspread swatch at the end of the bed. Believe me, if I happened to notice it, then the cleaning crew definitely should have. So, there it is. Great location, good rate, nice room, so-so service. Fine for one night.

Location is grand for the price! Front desk personnel are good. Checkin is easy.

We visited the hotel on Easter Weekend. It was wonderfully located for our interests, close to shopping, Times Square, Central Park. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, providing directions and advice. As the hotel is very to Carnegie Hall, there were lots of school tours and as such the Concierge was very busy. They were able to provide advice and were very thorough though understandably rushed. I would happily stay in the hotel again on our next visit.

The front desk personnel were very friendly. The location was perfect but hotel lighting I found very depressing.

Broken elevators, a bit "tired" and seedy. For some reason half of the rooms on our floor had circled x's in ballpoint pen on the wall outside the door. This was a bit...creepy. Our room did not have an x.

Frustrating to have to pay for wifi access even in the lobby but overall a decent enough hotel in a good location.

this hotel is centrally located and could not be more convenient to midtown. we were also pleased with its good maintenance for an older hotel. We enjoyed being there and would stay again.

Hotel room was clean and service was excellent. Room is small, but this is to be expected in such an old hotel. Don't bother to pay extra for the view. I did and we were on the 19th floor and the view was still only of the hotel across the way. Very close to 5th ave shopping, Time Square and Central Park. Subway station right on corner.

Room was very cold and called front desk and visited front desk asking for heat or heater and each day it was promised but NO RESULTS! I was told by a Doctor that was staying their that this is always a problem at this hotel,

I only had dealings with Ellen when we checked in. She was very sweet and went out of her way to get us a room before the posted 4 p.m. check in time. She gave us maps and told us the best places to go and even asked that we stop by before we check out and tell her how our trip was. She is very warm and I really appreciated her help.

This time when I stayed at this hotel, I got the room I booked online. It was on a much higher floor and in a better part of the hotel. While it still felt very old, the room I had this time was much nicer, bigger and I didn't feel like I was in a dungeon as I did the last time I stayed here. It also felt cleaner. I found the staff this time to be very helpful. Most hotels I stay at in NY don't charge to store bags for the afternoon while you wait to go to the airport but this hotel does and I find that to be unnecessary and an added expense to an already expensive trip.

I have stayed at this hotel before which is why I chose to stay here again. I had never stayed in "this part" of the hotel before and found it badly in need of renovation. I booked a specific type of room online and when I arrived, the room was not available. The room I had was not acceptable but I didn't have a choice. It worked fine for me but I found it to feel very old. Even though it was clean, I couldn't help but wonder how clean it really was because it felt so old. For a hotel as nice as this and the cost, I was disappointed.

I've stayed in a lot of boutique and mainstream hotels in Manhattan, this combined the best of both worlds. Spacious contemporary rooms in an excellent location for work and play (a run in Central Park is 2 blocks away). Very happy with the hotel overall and will be looking to stay here in the future.

I stay here regularly - maybe once every other month. It's a good deal for the price and location, but every room I have stayed in has had dark mold. Once the walls were covered and so bad that I immediately switched rooms, the last time it was just a little on the shower curtain - but I have never stayed in a mold-free room at this hotel.

The rate on this hotel was not bad, especially given the location, but everything else required separate charges, including storing our bags after we checked out. We paid the highest parking fee I've ever paid in the City, and it didn't even allow you to take the car out or you got charged a full day's fee again! Room carpet and chair were dirty and stained. Curtains had huge moth holes in them.

I usually never take the time to review hotels, but I had to for this one. It was one of the more disappointing experiences I have had. This hotel looks old. From the carpet, the rooms and the random items stored in the hallway you get the sense that you are in the middle of a renovation that will never happen.

I always find this hotel to be very well located and a relative value compared to the NY Hilton or Sheraton nearby. I only wish that this hotel would put a coffee pot in every room (an standard nationwide since maybe 1985). Everything else was fine.

The rooms are not of the highest quality, but the location is ideal for any tourist. The location is so close to the theater district and upper east side that almost everything is walking distance. The only time you need to take the subway or taxi is to go to lower Manhattan or to the Statue of Liberty or Ground Zero. In addition, the hotel staff was really helpful with any questions that i had proposed to them, though, the bar does close early so luck to the irish pub thats a couple streets away open very late.

Rooms are small. Beds not comfortable. Location excellent and overcomes these disadvantages.

Hotel service was excellent.Staff was very helpful.We needed a dust free room as one of us suffers from asthma and a special effort was made .The position of the hotel is ideal-next to the park ,close to theaters,museums.Even time square is within walking distance.Only negative point was our telephone bill-New Jersey calls are international!!!!

Liked the place and the staff! Would not recommend the breakfast bar in the lobby. Room was comfy & clean- great bed.

Good location for business or vacation traveler. Large tour groups are always gearing up for something in the lobby. Makes checking in, elevator access etc. somewhat of a challenge.

Have stayed at the Park Central multiple times and it keeps getting better! Great location and value. The staff was friendly and always ready to help if needed. Room should have a comfortable chair in addition to the desk chair.

Bathroom clean but hairs everywhere, slow room service.

Stayed for one night in this supposed four star hotel. Receptionist where very bad customer service skills Not sure how they achieved the four stars. Room view was very poor and looked into middle of hotel block with no natural light in room. Car service they offered to the airport was of a very poor standard and would not be revisiting this hotel again. Other hotels in the area of a higher standard and only carry 3 stars......

Right by Times Square, very eclectic. High recommendations.

Our hotel room was a handicap accessible, not great. The carpets were dirty and wet in a spot. The first night we were awoken by a Fire Alarm and told to evacuate the building over the loud speaker. No one was on hand to talk to us as we waited in the lobby, guests just pouring downstairs. We then heard the announcement to "Not Panic" and "Remain in your rooms". We went back up the stairs to our room, fell asleep and was awoken 1 hour later with another 5 minutes of blaring alarms and announcements to "Not Panic". There was apparently a fire next door and some smoke came into the hotel through the windows. Before assessing the situation properly, the hotel was being evacuated?!? No apologies from any staff as we came and went. The next morning, we were awoken at 8:55am to another fire alarm - this time a drill to test the system. It lasted for 10 minutes and was absolutely obnoxious. The elevators were incredibly slow, operating on a touch-screen system to, in essence, pre-order your destination. The buttons in the elevator were useless and we'd wait for 2 - 4 minutes until the doors would shut. Forget about calling the elevator to come back down to the lobby. We just took the stairs each time. Our shower got stuck twice in the "on" position, nearly flooding the bathroom as we waited for the slowest maintenance crew on the planet to arrive. When they showed up, they had a "Forever 21" bag full of tools. On our 4th night, we were returning to our room and our keys didn't work. We went down to the front desk and were ignored for a few moments. When we were finally acknowledge, we were given no explanation and no apology for the inconvenience of having to rekey our rooms. I travel for a living and keep my keys in their sleeve far away from any phone. The agent did say that it was probably because they automatically stop working after 3 nights. What the heck? I've never heard of such a thing, and at the least, we could have gotten a heads-up and stopped by the desk befo

An excellent outstanding hotel- service, rooms, comfort, prime location close to Central Park (3 blocks), Carnegie Hall- around the corner, metro, Broadway (1 block), Times Square(5-7 blocks), 5th Avenue (2 long blocks), MOMA (2 blocks). Good neighborhood, relative quiet in rooms considering normal NYC stree sounds and sirens. Great value, too
