The hotel was good but hotels.com goofed my reservation. I booked 2 twin beds and ended up getting 1 king bed and since the hotel was booked solid, it was too bad, so sad!!!

It was great, the sink in the bathroom leaked but I was able to fix it with a quick hand tightening. The washer for the seal under the glass bowl was loose and causing a good drip when one washed their hands. Aside from that it was a lovely room, good view and luxurious rain style shower and soaker tub. The staff was cheerful and accommodating. I would happily recommend it to friends.

Good quality

Difficult to park and check in as it is on a VERY busy street. No attendants outside to help at all. Check-in was a joke as the front desk staff chatted with each other the whole time rather than focussing on the clients. Took a $50 charge on my card immediately for each night I was staying for a deposit. Parking was around the back and very difficult to negotiate and not much available. The whole checking in process took over 35 minutes to get room keys, find parking, get through the maze of the parking lot and find my way up to my room. I would not got back here.

Our stay was most comfortable. The furniture, size of room, and amenities were above standard. The staff was very courteous and helpful. We would stay here again and recommend it highly.

This hotel is conveniently located but is very dated. The costly nightly rates are not worth staying here. The room I stayed in was very spacious and even had a dining table but the washroom was extremely small....could barely close the door while standing in front of the mirror. Overall the space was very poorly planned.

The suite we had was a nice size, with a lovely sitting area. no complaints, except make sure you know what you have booked. The front desk staff was going to charge me for parking, but I had already paid on Hotels.com. No problems once I pointed it out the next morning.

This hotel was spacious and comfortable. It had a central location. The management was kind enough to give our party of four a complimentary breakfast in the hotel restaurant as compensation for noise from guests across the hall who were celebrating a birthday. All was quiet from 11p.m. onward.

Since the last time I stayed here which was a few months ago, I have stayed at other hotels in Calgary which are mostly newer hotels. The International has been here since at least the '70s when it was one of the tallest buildings in Calgary. At that time I thought it was a really nice place to stay. Now, that I have stayed here again a few times in the last couple of years, I have come to the conclusion that this hotel is still one of the best. I will recommend it to anyone who wants convenience, comfort, and a nice clean place to stay.

Although a central hotel, this hotel is in need of refurbishment. On the plus side rooms were a good size. On the negative, we thought there was free internet with our booking so when I rang switchboard for the password I was told that there was a charge for wireless. What they failed to tell me was that hard-wired internet access was free - not helpful.

The suites at the International are very large and a great value if you have off season or special rates. The location is right downtown only a few blocks from indoor shopping which is important in Alberta winters.During the week you can use the indoor walkways that connect to other buildings and TD Mall without going outside. There are two flat screen TVs and internet. Wi-Fi costs $9.95 per day but if you connect to their modem with a cord it is free. Friendly staff at the front counter and a shop off the lobby for magazines. snacks, souvenirs etc.If I had a minor (very minor) complaint it would be that the bathrooms don't come up to the level of the rest of the suite. Very plain. A little surprised that after the first day my almost empty little bottles of shampoo and conditioner or the bar of soap that broke in half weren't replaced .

We always stay at the International Hotel. The staff is great, the suites beautifully renovated and comfortable. My only suggestion is to install an electrical outlet by the mirror so one can use hairdryers or curling irons while another uses the bathroom.

Friendly staff, clean, well equiped and spacious room with very comfy bed - parking very reasonable for the downtown core, valuable information in the room on Calgary and surrounding area. Two TVs! That's a welcome bonus - as is the separate bedroom with closing doors.

I booked in at the International Hotel of Calgary for a surprise romantic night with my girlfriend. We checked in at 3pm. and the front desk was awesome. Friendly and quick service. However when getting up to our Executive King suite we found that the garbage and recycling were not taken out. This made us think what else could have been over looked or not really cleaned very well in the room. Around 7pm we left for dinner at Q Haute (which was the best restaurant I have been to and would highly recommend it in calgary). Upon getting back to the hotel my girlfriend called the front desk asking for another robe since we only had 1 in the room. Front desk said they would check to see if any were available. A robe was not brought up to our room and we did not receive a call to inform us that no robes were available. A simple call to let us know there were no more robes would have been appreciated. Towards the end of the night we were taking a look at the "late night room service menu" in hopes to get a midnight snack, however there was no answer. Instead, we drove to a nearby Safeway to grab a few things to settle our appetites. All in all the stay was tolerable, however I expected more from this hotel. I do not think I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is convieniently located , the suite that i stayed in is extremly huge a little outdated but i liked it.Staff exremley helpful,the only thing that i did not like was i knew that i had to pay for parking at check out .I think the Hotel should be more upfront with its customers and let them know Parking is available at an extra cost.Besides that i will recommend this hotel.

Doors and door knobs were old you can tell. Bed,carpet,furniture was nice. Pool looked like a pool that was in the titanic 100 years ago....desparetly needs to be redone! Gym was old too! Restaurant was downstairs and sark with old chairs and tables and the bartender seemed disappointed to see us coming since we were the only ones there at 9 on a Friday night. Price was good but the other two 4 stars we stayed at the following days were a lot nicer!

This was my first time staying at this hotel. I was very impressed with the friendly staff at the front desk as I was checking in. When I opened the door to my room, I was surprised at the size of the room. Very spacious and very nicley decorated. Not to mention how comfortable the bed was. Overall, my stay was wonderful and I would stay again. Great job for everybody from the front desk to houskeeping.

The room I was staying in was a little dated, and hadn't been renovated in a while. I still had a great stay though, and was very comfortable. I would definitely go back. The weekend rate is fantastic for the quality and convenience.

Booked at the last minute and got there before the booking reached their system...they just gave us a room (better than what I booked) and when we asked for a different layout (two queens instead of one king) they upgraded us again...and were very accommodating. Two room suite was amazing.

The building is an older design, but for how it has been renovated, it is very good- with particular, the gym could use a little improvement. Hotel service (concierge, valet, staff) was excellent. The bar can close early if there are not enough customers, so this is an area the hotel can improve, in that, if it does plan to close early, guests should be made aware so that they don't make plans to meet friends there if the bar is closed. I would definitely recommend and come back to this hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay. Excellent service, great location, and very comfortable room. I would definitely return to this hotel again.

Great hotel, great location Close to casino's and restauraunts.

I highly recommend staying here if you have meetings, work or an interview downtown. Its convenient, skywalks connect all the main buildings downtown, so you don't even have to go outside when its cold. There's a great valet service, and free parking.

The International is a well located and very comfortable hotel. I was very impressed with the entire staff who were always on hand and willing to help. Keep up the great work, I hope to return again!

I liked the hotel. I was here on business and it was nice to go back to a spacious room after a long day. The only two complaints I have is the bathroom is small and the courtesy washer and dryer seemed to be rundown and not operating properly.

Amazing, the room, the veiw the service !!! I stayed in the Suite and did not what to leave. The lady at the front desk was so helpful. I arrived after a very..... long day driving and she had us checked in , parked and in the room in a matter of minutes

I was pleasantly surprised about the space in the room as i could not determine what we were getting based on the description on-line. The room was quite and the bed comfy. I like the fact that there was a microwave, fridge and complimentary tea. The bathroom needed minor TLC; nothing that could not be fixed in 5 mins. Another big plus was the free parking that came with the stay. All in all i will stay there again when i return to Calgary.

It was a high quality room and the staff was friendly and very reasonably priced, especially for Calgary. The hotel was easy to find.
