Great location! Friendly staff...definitely recommend it. I would stay at this hotel again.

The hotel lobby, atmosphere, and room was nice and we would go again. BUT if you are a tall or a Large person, the bathroom was narrow and tight. Imagine a small coat closet with a 3' wide x 5' feet long floor - tub on one side, sink and counter on the other. Toilet straight ahead. Good luck shutting the door... If you qualify, ask for an accessible room - the bathroom would HAVE to be larger !

This hotel is in a great location. But, the sheets on my bed had a stain on them (cleaned, but stained). Our rooms weren't ready when we checked in, and the staff didn't call like they promised when the rooms were ready. The doormen were very ready to help, but the front desk staff not so much. Great area though, and very convenient. Comfy beds.

I recently stayed 2 nights at the Double Tree in DC. Not right in the nmiddle of everything but a very short walk away from all the main attractions. My girlfriend and I are walkers, so we had no problem walking everywhere (Whitre House, Capitol, Lincoln Memorial, Smithsonian, etc.). The hotel is in the downtown area and just blocks from many stores and restaurants. Just a word of advice, parking is difficult on the weekend, and the hotel only provides valet service for approximately $40 a night. Pricey, but it was extremely convenient. The hotel was very nice and clean and the staff were extremely gracious and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

I booked this hotel from hotels.com. Normally hotels charges for some additional taxes. But this time they did not ask me to pay anything. Hotel was superb. Very good quality hotel. Location wise also it is good. It would be great if got top floor rooms....but I got a 2nd floor room :-(

Wonderful location,free internet. Valet was 40 bucks. No parking unless ur lucky. Bar in hotel convient to restaurants, and Verizon center

Nice hotel, good location at a fair price. The only small grip is the hotel restaurant menu is a bit limited. But around the corner on P street are a number of places to eat and even a Whole Foods grocery store.

Because of the insane parking issues in DC and the fact that 99% of garages are CLOSED on the weekends (as a NYer, I just don't get that), I picked this hotel for its Valet parking. The "lot", which I found out later is the alley behind the hotel, was "full". They sent me to a CLOSED garage and upon being escorted back there in caravan style by the concierge, a man "appeared", took the car and handed me a claim slip. When I went to pick up the car two days later, it wasn't there, and the company was nonexistent. I then was panicked that my car was stolen, and when I arrived back at the hotel, it was magically parked in front! I went ballistic! I also booked a room with two double beds, and they said they were out, and only had rooms with king beds!!! OK, fine. We threw our luggage in the roo and left for the afternoon, only to return in the evening to check out the room indent and realized that it was a TINY room with a DOUBLE BED!!! These big issues and many other small ones occurred over the 3 day stay. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!! Stick to better ones around DuPont Circle.

I would love to come back to Doubletree, our stay was very comfortable. The staff members are very friendly.

Nice Hotel, although rooms are smaller than expected, especially the bathroom. Comfortable beds and very nice staff. Be aware that there is no free parking at this hotel. They charge $39.00 per night, which I found outrageous. You can find other indoor parking a few blocks away for about $24.00 per night.

The hotel room is Nice and cofort, but a little bit small.

Very nice room, friendly staff and warm cookies! Every time my son and I came in to the front lobby, we were greeted by the friendly staff with warm fresh baked chocolate cookies. The room was nice, clean and a comfortable bed. I would definitely stay here again.

Booked this hotel as it was within reasonable walking distance of the Capital Mall and was reasonably priced. The hotel is in a good section of town - mostly businesses and hotels - and I was not concerned with my safety or that of my kids. This location has obviously been there a while but it had been updated and is resonably kept up. The room was comfortable with my only real complain being the size of the bathroom which amost seemed like a closet that had been remodeled. You almost had to step up on the toilet to close the door. My main complaint, and the reason I do not recommend this hotel is the cost of the food and the cost of parking. I've been on enough business trips to know what to expect and what to pay for food in a hotel which is, of course, always expensive. When you are on a business trip you can expense those charges, but when you are on a family trip, it comes out of your pocket. In my opinion the food was far too expensive for what was provided and there was not alot of convenient alternatives near the hotel. But my main beef was the valet parking charges. after pulling up to the entrance I asked about parking and was told that they have no parking garage so they do what they called "alley parking". So they take your keys and park you car in a lot around the corner. Maybe I'm just naive but I expected and did tip the person who parked the car but I did not expect nor was I told of the considerable charge I received at check out. Without discussing the exact amount, it was a large percentage of the overall cost to stay in the hotel. If you stay here, park the car yourself!

I had not originally intended to stay at the Double Tree as I had friends who were a few blocks away. Yet the Hotel.com people told me that I could find a real bargin a few blocks away. My suite was less expensive and more spacious than the rooms my friends. I took advantage of the business center to print out my boarding pass for my return flight. I ate at the restaurant where I was warmly received and graciously served. Everyone was top notch. My next visit to the city will include a stay at this fine hotel.

Great hotel and service. My only complaint would be the size of the bathrooms, which are tiny and it is a bit of a walk to the nearest Metro station

I spent hours looking for the right place to stay on our vacation. I wanted it to be close enough to walk to some of the sights but also not to expensive. I also didn´t want to stay some where that was not clean or safe. This hotel met all my needs and more! The staff was very friendly and the hotel totally met our needs. I have to say the breakfast buffet was amazing as well, all you could want and more. A great value if you get the package to include breakfast daily! It was a little longer walk to the mall then I had wanted but we quickly figured out the metro that was safe and easy to get to and the white house and other sites where totally walkable. Overall for the price I was VERY happy with this hotel!

Hotel is lovely, rooms are clean & comfortable & a reasonable size. The location is fantastic - quick walk to restaurants & a short stroll to white house & monuments etc.

Double charged me for my room... Sent me to a room that already had someone staying in it.... Food was frozen in the center.... Guest service was not quick to help with issues!!!!

A wonderful place to stay with great service and great food.

Your hotel is conveniently located that even by the hotel alone you can do important sight-seeing. Your food is fulfilling and the hotel is near the church and transport station. Thanks for the excellent service, our vacation was really a leisure!

We went to DC for a late meeting and an overnight stay. The minute we entered the hotel and gave our name to the front desk, we knew we were at the right place. Extremely hospitable and attentive. In our room for a few minutes and the phone rang to assure we were satisfied with the room. Complimentary full breakfast was excellent. A terrific value on Hotel.com

We recently visited DC and really enjoyed staying at htis hotel. Every staff member was very friendly and was attentive (with the exception of the gentlemen at the front desk who made a recommendation on a restaurant in the area that was horrible). Upon arriving, we received cookies when we checked in and our vehicle was safely valeted. The staff working the breakfast area were so pleasant and welcoming. And when one member of our group got sick and couldn't make it down for the breakfast buffet, they were so caring and gave us a box to bring for up to the room. They have a great afternoon cocktail happy hour in the bar downstairs with an inviting outdoor patio area to watch the late afternoon crowd head home from work. The room was clean, up to date, and well kept up. It was pretty quiet except that our room faced the back of the hotel and we heard the trash truck emptying dumpsters in the morning. The location was great too. Just a few blocks from the white house, museums, metro station, and my favorite, Whole Foods. If i return to DC again, I will be staying here again.

I was initially given a smoking room in error.I was not informed at the time of booking that the parking would cost an additional 39 dollars a night.

This was very close to the club and my friends that I went out with (930 club) so a cab ide was fairly cheap. My only "YIKES" was the price of valet parking. There is little to NO street parking around this hotel.

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the White House and my other business destinations. Room was clean but SMALL; perhaps because I was in the corner room? Was thankful I was only there for two nights, and travelling alone. Bathroom incredibly small. However, room and bath very clean. Hairdryer literally broken apart, but replaced within 5 minutes by very apologetic staff. Decor and electronics were updated and clean. I would stay again for business in the area; good room for the price.

Nice one night and breakfast for four deal. Walk to White House and other sites. Allowed us to store baggage and valet car before and after check-in.

This was a very nice hotel. The room was comfortable. Huge bath towels. Friendly staff. And the Sunday breakfast buffet was quite good (far beyond normal "continental breakfast" fare). My only complaint was that parking was a real bear--$33/day valet. But that's not unusual in downtown DC.

You receive a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie during check in! Services is good. However, Wi-fi is not free! About a 10-15 min from the Farragut North metro stop. Great deal.

Clean, modern, great hotel staff, just a short walk to the White House, delicious breakfast buffet! We would definitely return to this hotel!

Had a problem and needed to speak with a manager. Got VM repeatedly and lots of run-around. Very unhelpful!!!!

Staff was great in every way. Room was nice but the bathroom was extremely small. More like a coat closet. Also valet fees listed on hotels.com website were incorrect. I might stay again if i had a reason to be in that specific area of DC. Otherwise not.

Loved the hotel but 10 minute walk from Metro. Staff friendly. Beds very comfortable. Bathroom small but not a problem. Great neighborhood.

We needed to arrange a demonstration of some instrumentation to Doctors.Your staff was very helpfull in finding a place in the hotel to make the presentation and in obtaining the material needed. Great service

Stayed here while working in DC. Short walk to nearest metro, close to some nice eateries and nice area. Room was really good, staff great v helpful. Good idea pairing with the YMCA for gym etc, since the fitness suite in the hotel is limited. Bar food good, though breakfast was expensive. Free warm cookies on arrival v good. All together a good effort, a fine place to stay if you're in dc.

Nice hotel in very nice area, near by White house

This hotel was very nice. When we arrived there was someone to meet us t the door and open it. WE arrived before check in and our room wasn't ready. The very kindly took our bags for us. The Trolly car came to our hotel and took us around for a small fee. That was very awsome! THe best part about the hotel was it was clean, in a good neighborhood, and the fresh ot cookies! They were sooo good! We ordered room service everynight due to being so worn out. Food was good! Our room was a little smaller than most hotels but was comfy the same. Plus if you don't have them clean your room they give you a $5 dollar coupon to use on the food, in the restuarnt or room service! Great hotel would diff. stay agian
