We originally were booked at another hotel a few weeks earlier, but when we had to cancel those plans due to a death in the family, we rescheduled here. It was the perfect location for us because we used the metro as our primary transportation while in Rome. It was a 2 minute walk to Termini, and the metro got us all over Rome for 16 Euro each with a weekly pass. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. It was clean and the rooms were comfortable. There was a problem with our bathroom leaking to the floor below, and they moved us to a bigger, nicer room for the inconvenience of having to move all of our stuff. Breakfast was included, and it was a very nice variety of food (although very different than what we are used to). Each morning they got my husband "American" coffee at his request. I felt safe and comfortable in this hotel, and would stay there again without hesitation.

Fantastic service from staff at the front desk, bell hop and breakfast room! Would definitely stay at this property again. Only caveat was there were not many electric plugs in my room, as I travel tech heavy and need to recharge many items. Bathroom was very nice as well.

i liked this hotel a lot. i came in with low expectations, but because i was arriving by train at midnight, i chose this hotel for its close proximity to stazione Termini, the main train station. it's a short block and a half away from the train, a very very short walk, even at midnight in january. i got a clean, quiet room, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and breakfast was included in my rate (a buffet style, more than just a muffin---plenty to eat; and that's a good thing in italy, where breakfast for americans can be a challenge---it's hard to find good, cheap things to eat or breakfast in italy, generally the locals have coffee and a bread and that's it.). the hotel neighborhood isn't all that exciting at night, but it's close to the subway and close to the colosseum and trevi fountain and piazza venezia, and i walked almost everywhere, taking the subway only at night when it was cold. this hotel exceeded my expectations.

Bettoja Massimo D Azeglio was in the perfect location. It was approximately 1 block away from Roma Termini (trains and buses). Restaurants, souvenier shopping, and tourist sights were within walking distance. The hotel staff were courteous and friendly. We had a early morning tour and they packed us a breakfast bag :). I thought that was sweet and considerate. Their continental breakfast was a full course meal and delicious. I would stay there again and highly recommend the hotel.

Very convenient located with less than 5 minutes walk from Station Termini. Service is ok and furniture of my room is quite old!. Corridor is only sufficient for 2 guys to pass by. Breakfast soso, not bad but not amazing! Remember to bring along French or Italian electrical adaptor if you are using UK or Chinese plugs, they do not offer any adapter and will ask you to buy in a nearby shop!

This is a great place to stay--good breakfast included and large room with nice shower. Just around the corner from the hotel is a street with the best small local restaurants--inexpensive and great food. Only half a block from the Termini station and metro, plus, easy walking distance to the Coliseum. We went across the street to the sister hotel, Bettoja Meditteraneo and had drinks on the rooftop. Nice bar with fabulous views.

very nice hotel, convenient to train station. about a 10 minute walk to Coliseum. Hotel staff were always helpful. Room was great - we did experience the bathroom smell. solution was placing the bathmat over the floor vent. no issues after that. good hotel for the money. breakfast was great!

This hotel is ideally situated in Rome near Termini Station and was in good condition clean and comfortable but it was not in our opinion a 4 star hotel. We stayed in another 4 star hotel in Rome previous to this stay and it was far superior to this hotel. We would recommend this hotel but in our opinion it was over priced for what we received,

Hotel in great are for transport and local resturant . I is also not far from the sights. The hotel is nice and clean. The breakfast room is initially decieving as it has no daylight and is fairy small for the numbers of that pass through. However the breakfast is a good choice. Staff are fairly friendly. It is a good place to stay.

Yes, the old place could use a facelift in the halls but the rooms were clean, had tons of local information, good internet (and free) , so very close to the central train terminal but still a nice neighbourhood; classy old style building and decor; decent varied breakfast.; very helpful staff.

The hotel is comfortable and convenient for tourism (and probably for business). The staff were friendly and helpful. Although my single room was quite small it has everything needed. The hotel is close to the central station, which also is the center of the bus and metro systems. The ancient part of Rome is quite close ( just over 1 km or 2 metro stops to the Coliseum for example), and the Vatican is not much further away.

Very convenient to Roma Termini station. We were coming from the train station carrying our luggage and it was only a few blocks away Great access to trains, buses, and the metro. I thought the hotel was charming and well kept up for an older building. A free breakfast was included in the morning and it was tasty and filling. Staff very helpful. We would stay there again!!

Stayed here two times. Close to the trainstation. Easy to reach. Walkingdistance to everything.

They were doing work on the hotel so it was very noisy, and to get to our room we had to take the service elevator. The beds were really hard, and the room was could have used some updating. When we went to breakfast, every table was dirty. The coffe was cold and they did not have much variety. The only positve was the location of the hotel was that we could walk from the train station.

The Hotel is close to the train station. When we got there reception at the front desk was very poor. The front desk was rude during check in, would not answer any questions. very arrogant. Would not recommend this place.

Hotel close to station,trams and busses.Easy to find on foot,even with 2 big suitcases and sweltering summer heat! Hotel is well kept and very clean.Staff friendly and helpful. Room very comfortable.Bathroom big and clean,with enough warm water at all times. Breakfast was above average,with a big selection to choose from. Lovely fresh fruit and cheeses. Neighbourhood busy with good selection of shops and services! Even a laundry or two within walking distance...what a blessing after traveling a few weeks. Good restaurant in hotel,but its closed on Sunday evenings. We enjoyed our stay.

This is very convenient to the railway station and is well-maintained. In terms of quality, it was good compared to other hotels we used in Italy. For people staying more than overnight however, I think other hotels are more conveniently located as a base for sightseeing or shopping.

The staff in the lobby were very helpful. The staff in the dining room, not so much. For breakfast, they have a European buffet, set up in two rooms. One buffet is beautifully expansive & a wide array of choices, it is nearly the length of the room. The other room has very small table, with most of the same choices, but a very limited scale. In the big room, you have have a big basket of fruit with many choices. The small room has 1 apple, 1 pear, etc. We attempted to sit in the big room, but the staff directed us to the small one, but I had seen the big buffet. So, I wanted to select the food from the large room & take it to our table in the small room. The staff was out-raged that I insisted upon this & even cussed at me under their breath every time they passed. (My husband speaks fluent Italian). They argued with me that I "must" stay in the room they directed me to, I am not big on following senseless orders. Free wi-fi

The front desk help were not friendly or helpfull at all. The noise level was very high from trains. Have been in Rome 17 times and stayed at many hotels. The Hotel is beautiful inside and out!! Restaurant was very nice and the quilty of food was great. The servers and restaurant help top notch. The rates charge are very good, just looked at the front dest help for problems. Air conditioning not good either, called and no help came to fix it.

I will return again to this hotel when in Rome. The staff was excellent.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Very quiet and comfortable. Within easy walk of station with luggage. Good restaurants close by. Easy access to sights. Staff spoke English and very helpfull.

We stayed at this hotel inadvertently because our travel plans had changed while in Italy. We stayed in 4 3 different hotels in Rome, and this one was by far the best! It is very conveniently located near the bustling Termini, main train station in Rome. However, this was pleasantly the quietest hotel we ever stayed in (not just in Rome)! We could not hear our above guests moving around, and we could not hear people leaving in the morning and their doors closing. It not was only clean and quiet with adequate room, it had the best spread for breakfast. It had a self-service coffee/ cappuccino/ tea machine at your disposal. They also had some traditional hot American breakfast options (scrabbled eggs and bacon). I wish we could have stayed longer! Will definitely be our #1 choice if we return to Italy!

The Bettoja Massimo D Azeglio Hotel is loocated a block from the main train station and the metro. Hop on and Hop off busses are also a block away. The hotel provides a very good breakfast and the rooms were clean and well maintained. Air conditioning was very good, a rare thing in Rome. I recommend you spring for the superior room (very nice).

Our group had 6 rooms, all were good size, clean,modern, staff was friendly and helpful, location was convenient for touring old Rome, lobby was comfortable, price reasonable, internet was free(signal was down occasionally. Overall group was very satisfied with stay. Note- beds were firm but comfortable.

We had very comfortable stay . Location is superb : walking distance from railway station ( don't need taxi , convenient even to lug your baggage : it is so near) , excellent breakfast , free wi-fi in rooms , close by to metro train / bus stop / markets hence can conveniently plan sight seeing etc. Even otherwise just about 20 mts walk for key tourist attractions / monuments .

Staff were friendly, helpful and let us check in before the time. Breakfast selection were good but internet connection was not reliable. Great location to get to a number of important landmarks on foot, to catch the hop on hop off bus, and to use the train from Termini station.

Very convenient to train station and Forum (which was what we needed). Not so convenient to the rest of Rome. The hotel and room were great, but the breakfast was awful (the worst by far that we had in five hotels in Italy) and had a delay for people who weren't there at the crack of dawn. There were shells in the eggs, we couldn't get hot water for tea, coffee from a Nescafe machine. But other than the breakfast it was a very nice hotel.

Very easy to find from train station. I thought the location was good because most tours and bus and metros stop at train station making it easy to go back and forth. The breakfast was OK. What you would expect for Italian breakfast. Rooms were nice and bathtub very large for European standards

Excellent hotel! Good service, good location - close to Metro station, convenient and clean.

as I fly a lot over the years and had been in Rome at least five times,and knew the 4 or 5 stars condition, I got for the first time a full value for my money and more......

Excellent location. Best breakfast ever. They even have an organic section. Best coffee ever for a hotel. Amazing selection. 2 minute walk from the Termini station.

Upon arrival, I was asked if I was ___. Never had that happen before. The hotel could not have been in a better location. Wonderful breakfast. Could stand some updating of decor. But, rooms are a nice size and quite comfortable.

This hotel was perfect. We had a corner room (I recommend requesting one) and the room was very large and clean. The furniture was a little dated and the bed was a bit hard for my taste, but after 3 days of walking, I didn't mind all that much. Breakfast was nice and they have great coffee! You are right across from Trimini station (which will get you everywhere you want to go). No matter how much luggage you have, DO NOT let a cab driver tell you it's far to avoid lugging it yourself (like we did). It is literally 2.5 blocks. Not worth the 25 Euro - trust me. The train ride from the airport to Trimini is ~14 Euro and there were 3 of us. The hotel will schedule a car service for 48 Euro, which is much cheaper than the cab drivers outside!!! If you pack like we do, that is the way to go! If you are there for a short time, like we were, I highly recommend taking one of the double decker tours (sold by the annoying people on every corner by the train station). You will see a lot in a short time and you can get off and on all day. Metro is cheaper (although the bus wasn't much at all), but it's underground and you miss all the little neighborhoods.

This is a very pleasant comfortable hotel. The rooms are quiet and very clean. The beds are comfortable and bright. Internet access although available is very expensive. 22 Euro per 24 hour period. The hotel is well located beside the main train station. One point to note - the taxis are notorious for overcharging. Agree the price before you get in.

This hotel was just yards away from the train station, so it was very easy to walk to and major bus and metro lines run from the same location so getting around was very easy. The hotel is dated but well kept and the staff if courteous. The rooms are quiet despite the trafficky area. Major sights such as the Colosseum are within walking distance.

The location could not be better and the front desk was very helpful. The room was comfortably spacious and the breakfast was very decent. I wil definitely recommend.
