this hotel is in a good location in north miami for shopping, golf and tennis. excellent pool area and nice grouds. the breakfast was superb. the rooms are very big, but not particularly well-designed. sort of like a luxury version of a best western. contrary to the pictures, it is not on the beach but i believe there is a shuttle. never saw it. the spa is great and there is a running track outside the property. free wifi is appreciated but 30usd a night to park os stupid expensive. we also were promised a 50usd resort credit which managed to not be credited. my guests loved the bourbon street restaurant. i personally thought it was average food and overpriced, but as a whole was a nice evening there. they do add. 18 percent tip everywhere. again, this is a bit of a flashy place and it was a nice stay if you are not budgeting

Stayed here with my wife, 3 kids ages 8,6, and 4, and retired parents. What a wonderful place. Service was outstanding everywhere from the valet, front desk, room service and pool staff. Kids loved the heated pool with waterslide and lazy river. We enjoyed the very comfortable pool furniture and great poolside service. Rooms are quite large and had very comfortable beds. We did not head to the "beach club," but heard from other guests how great it was. Will make sure to stay here in the future.

Our stay at this resort was fantastic. The only downside was the cost of parking. Fine example of what customer service should be. Can't to visit again!

THE STEAK HOUSE WAS A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT.MY STEAK WAS SUBSTANDARD.WHEN I MENTIONED THAT TO THE MANAGER HE AGREEDED AND QUESTIONED WHY I ATE IT.WHEN I CONTINUED TO QUESTIOM HIM HE GAVE ME HIS CARD.AT CHECK OUT I TOLD THEM WHAT WENT ON AND THEY REFUNDED THE PRICE OF MY MEAL.WHILE GRATEFUL MAKES ME WONDER WHAT THE PURPOSE IS FOR THE REST.MGR.

The hotel is in 5min walking distance to Aventura Mall, which is one of the best malls I've been in the US. Publix, Walgreens, CVS,... are in walking distance as well. There is a bus from Aventura Mall that drives to Miami downtown regularly (about 1h15min). The pool is very nice and internet/wifi is uncomplicated, fast and complimentary. However, I would have expected a kind of "coffee lounge" with free coffee and e.g. apples or other kind of fruit. Moreover, I absolutely would have expected complimentary water in the room or on the floor, which was both not the case. All in all, I recommend this hotel. However, there are some minor issues, I would have expected for a hotel in that price range.

Really nice. will stay there again, I with there was a little more night-life in the area of the Turnberry. But still enjoyed the experience.

The property and room were gorgeous. However, I was disappointed that while one has to pay for internet service in the room, they also charged for wireless internet service in the lobby. Aside from that, we look forward to visiting again

Turnberry Isle Rocked.. After a few days in south beach and partying this place was relaxing!! Didn't wan't to leave. We stayed at the resort the whole day.. if your looking for food there The Cascata Grille was amazing. I recommend the chicken panini sandwhich and sweet potato fries.. for lunch.. delicious, also the breakfast buffet there was awesome. The room service was good and their sweet and spicy wings were good along with their margharita pizza. The main reason we choose Turnberry Isle is it's pools. The lagoon pool although full with families and kids was fun and cool and lazy river was relaxing, but there is also a smaller pool in the middle of the resort that is quieter and less packed with a more adult like atmosphere. I gave this place a 5 because their service was so excellent and atmosphere was so enjoyable.. it is a great hotel and would recommend it to everyone.

We booked a Fairmont hotel, but when we checked in the owner had just dropped Faimont and let the top management go. We were not notified of the change. It's a nice place but with some correctable issues. We had hair in our food, trash left by the maid in our room and a very rude check in. I would not stay here if you have sinus issues. They overwhelm you with extremely strong fragrance in the main lobby, lounge and reception. This hotel is a nice 4 star property not 5.

Great hotel, our room had a gorgeous view of the golf course. It was spacious and our bathroom was large also with all the comforts. Brand new tv's. We enjoyed the hotel beach very much although you had to take the shuttle there everytime. But the shuttle came very often and we never had to wait. The staff was courteous and the hotel very well maintained and everything was immaculate. The four pools were beautiful as well as the grounds. Lunch on the beach was delicious. I would recommend this hotel strongly but you have to have a car otherwise South Beach and other attractions are too far like 30 minutes by car.

An exceptional hotel. Beautiful room. Immaculate landscaping. Friendly and helpful staff. I'll never stay anywhere else in N. Miami!

Great location - close to both Miami and Ft. Lauderdale airports, a mile from the beach (with a free shuttle to their private beach club), right across the street from the Aventura Mall. Wonderful pool with a lazy river and slide for the kids. Food is good but pricey (as you would expect in a resort), service is excellent. Rooms are fabulous - the bathroom was really luxurious.

We had a great time at the Fairmont Turnberry Isle. Everyone was so friendly and the accommodations are beautiful. The whole family loved spending time by the pool. We will definitely return!

Front desk was understaffed and never offered us deals that were being offered at the spa and other facilites on the resort. Reservation was not as originally made, and they weren't overly accomodating to fix it.

Had a great 3 night stay at the Fairmont over the 4th July, hotel is on the large side, but very comfortable. My only bad experience is the beach club, very dirty pool and very run down, the Fairmont need to spend some $$$ on it to bring it up to scratch.

What an experience! Having never stayed in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area, I read reviews on many places and this seemed like a great fit. It was even better in person. Great pools, restaurants and a golf package absolutely made sure we had plenty to do. The best part, by far, was the service. Perhaps it shouldn't come as a surprise, but everyone at the resort was first class. They were always willing to help and did so with a smile. We got an unexpected upgrade to our room upon arrival and had a wonderful view of the golf course and the 4th of July fireworks. Thanks to Jennifer at the front desk and all the people at Fairmont Turnberry. A+

This hotel is a true resort, There is two golf courses, 2 nice restaurants, 2 pools and the landscaping is very well kept. I will stay here every time i visit the area

Great location, amenities and atmosphere. Can't beat the lazy river and the pool w/ waterfall and slide (great for all ages). Service is not quite 5 star, but that is likely more of a scheduling issue and less of staff personality issues. I think a little more training and more workers on a shift around the pool area would make it an even better stay. The was very crowded on father's day as I think locals can purchase a day pass/membership. Renting a Cabana is a great idea for the day, but when they say fresh bowl of fruit comes with your cabana, don't freshly cut up fruit salad, more like whole fruits garnishes from yesterday's breakfast buffet tucked in the cabana's mini fridge. Also food can be a little pricey for the quality and a 18% gratuity is added to every bill. I understand that some international travelers don't know the US tipping etiquette, but I still don't like being told what to tip someone. Overall still a great stay, and very different from the SOBE scene.

This resort is absolutely gorgeous! The highlight is the Laguna Pool and lazy river. Of course everything is quite pricey, but if you're looking for luxury and not afraid to pay for it, it's a great place.

This is a wonderful resort to spend a short vacation. The staff is attentive and courteous; the food excellent with choices for those on restricted diets; the swimming pools well maintained, as were the grounds both at the private beach and around the hotel itself. The cleanliness of the rooms left something to be desired. One does expect the carpet to be vacuumed each day and the room to be free of roaches! And do note the extra charges for a fridge, car parking, etc.

stayed 3 nights. Hotel room was great, but had no towels (ttook them over 1 hour to bring me towels). Had three packages delivered to the hotel, but it took the staff 3 days to find them Overall great but quality of service must increase for what had been quoted as a 4.5 star hotel!

Hotel and facilities are fantastic, was somewhat taken aback by the cost of room service items - $7 for a small bottle of water and paid $84 for a bottle of wine in the main restaurant. Not prices quoted do not include tax and service charge, these are extra! Other than than can highly recommend.

took the grandchildren there for my 60th birthday for a whole weekend the place was awesome we had a great time , there's a bit for everyone just a nice people friendly feeling at home kinda place highly recommended ....lots of greenery they have a beautiful herb garden great restaurants now I need to go back with my husband and make it a relaxing weekend hahaha

I must say that I was more than pleasantly surprised. Having had the opportunity to travel all over the world and stay in many high end hotels The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort exceeded my expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to return there if my travels take me back to the Miami area. It was so nice to have a hotel that was central to things in and around town while still have wonderful access to the beach club. I highly recommend this location!

fantastic, everything you could want in a resort...& the gym,spa, & golf courses were excellent.

The Fairmount at Turnberry Isle was an exceptional, unexpected surprise. The service is impeccable and the rooms are over-sized! I swear the tub was designed for Shaq O'Neal, it was so huge! We rented two rooms at an incredible rate on hotels.com and got major returns. One of our best hotel experiences ever... Certainly at the top of our list of favorite hotels and must-stays.

The resort was easy to find using my GPS. When me and my hubby arrived we were greated by the valet who immediately took our key's. The only thing I cringed about because parking is $30 a day. They actually upgraded our room to a balcony golfcourse view. The property is impeccable. The rooms are huge. The bathroom is huge and the tub is big enough for 2.. it was more then I expected.

After last minute deciding for a mini-vacation, although great deal on the rooms, everything else is quite pricey, so get your wallet out but this is a lovely, "Old Florida" resort and an excellent find.. Golfing, meals even room service were EXCELLENT!! Did I say Pricey??? The staff was very accomadating to our needs. Room was very comfortable, clean and view of the skyline was beautiful. Expensive but a REAL TREAT!!

We were delighted, this is a great resort. Dont miss it. It could not have been any better. Now understand the meals and drinks are not cheap, but they are worth it.

A hotel of this caliber should have wireless service in each room. Even the wireless reception in the lobby was poor. That's ridiculous. Also when I called the first morning I was there I requested a newspaper and yet I was never sent one the following mornings.

This is a nice hotel to stay at if you can get a good deal. The staff was very nice and helpful. The bathroom facilities in the rooms were amazing, with a tv inside. The bed was really comfortable. There were a few stains on the side of the sheet (not where you sleep, but the side of the mattress). The restaurant inside the hotel was very pricey so we just went to the nearby restaurants.

The resort is beautifully maintained. Everything is new, clean and spacious. We had a room facing the golf and the waterfalls with a large, double balcony. The hotel was priced very well compared with others we stayed in the same period in South Florida. It is located at 10 min shuttle drive from their private beach. The parking is very expensive and so is the buffet breakfast. I would stay again anytime.

Valet parking is $30.00 per day a bit high. The room was nicely appointed but a bit far from the entrance (if you are handicapped). The room was clean but not overly if you are a germaphobe like myself. I would return if the opportunity presents itself.
