Real good

good location, and ok rooms;... just right for a stopover

Need to double glaze windows- traffic wakes you up throughout the night.

Location is in a very lively area of Sydney, loads of restaurants and shops nearby, but further away from the harbour than we had anticipated, i.e. a good 40-minute walk to Circular Quay. There are bus stops nearby, but we got to know the area a lot more by walking. A little disappointed with the room - hanging space was totally inadequate; the fridge, ironing board, safe, kettle and cups were all crammed into the one small cupboard where we were also expected to hang our clothes. We had to take most of it out before we could do that. Breakfast was basic and expensive. We found plenty of places nearby that served a far better meal. Staff were helpful and friendly and had lots of useful information about the city.

ROOM WAS CLEAN, NICE HOTEL... OVERALL IT WAS NICE... SHOULD HAVE PROVIDED BODY CREAMS, PERFUME AND OTHER ACCESORIES...

I stayed for 3 nights and I really enjoyed myself. The pool was lovely. I would have liked a picture on the wall in my room to make it feel a bit luxurious. The Staff were great and very helpful. It is a great location being so close to Oxford Street and a short walk to the city.

I used to worked in hotels, I really satisfied with the cleanses of the room especially bathroom. Good location and friendly staff.

Good value for the money. Within close proximity to central Sydney and in an interesting neighbourhood.

A pity it was a short overnight stay. 5am start to cycle Sydney to Canberra for police legacy. Perfect location, clean and comfortable. Thanks

Room service seemed non-existent. Returned to room at 3:30pm and found room had not been maintained, rang reception and was told the manager would contact us. Phone call back from reception later saying manager said rooms are made-up between 1:00pm and 4:00pm. Having just returned to room after a wet day out in Sydney didn't feel like leaving again while they cleaned the room.

Great clean Premium Queen room that was larger than I expected. Very comfortable.

We were surprised at how clean and modern the rooms were. The bathroom was spacious and the room lacked nothing. Our room was next to the lift but there was no noise during the night. Above all the location is fantastic. A quick walk to Central Station and an even briefer walk to Oxford Street. Plenty of cafes, pubs, restaurants right at the doorstep. We will stay again next time we are in Sydney

Small rooms with very little room to put clothes away or set anything down. We ended up using the ironing board as a small table just to have a place to set they keys, wallets, etc. Staff was cordial but not friendly.

Hotel was ok not fantastic. Location was quite good with some nice bars and places to eat nearby. Easy to catch bus to Bondi

the room looks worse than the photos posted on internet. Facilities are old and there are no slippers which is unbelievable.

The only problem I found with this hotel was the room service very unorganised both times stayed something has been left off the order this stay they brought half then toolkit away and brought it back again and the food was cold could do with a bit of a revamp but quiet comfortable and good location for the price will stay again

Hotel & staff were great - professional, kind & willing to help. Room was comfortable and had a balcony. Bright, colorful ambiance & a delicious restaurant for wining and dining!

The hotel amenities were great. I love it, Good qualiity! The room is daily cleaned. Hotel staff are very friendly. Good hotel location (oxford street), close to the city, few minutes walk to train station (museum train station), close to bars, pubs, and cafes.

Hotel itself was mostly fine. Our room was right next to the elevator - it seems like most of the rooms are just organised this way except one or two. So - it was a bit noisy with people coming in and out, and we stayed over the weekend before New Year's Eve so it was probably worse than normal. A lot of street noise and one night some of the guests came back to continue their partying in the room. The next night one of the apartments across from our room (different building) were partying until 3.30am. We decided to leave a day earlier. While the location was good - close to lots of good restaurants, it wasn't worth the sleepless nights. Well priced and rooms were ok but we wouldn't stay here again (or near the area).

The room was small with a little window with a view to the next building. It had been equipped with two beds but without a table and only with one chair. And in the small wall cabinet was a little fridge, for this reason we had no space for our clothes also. But the hotel itself was at least centrally located.

We were extremely satisfied with our stay. The location was excellent - walking distance to all the tourist attractions in Sydney. The public transport system was very efficient in the central business district. The hotel was clean, newly renovated and well maintained. The customer service from the front desk staff was very good.Daily newspapers were available for free. There was a large range of restaurants in the area as well as a well stocked supermarket across the street. Our only frustration was that we had to pay a lot to use the Internet, if we wanted to. This was available for a free half hour at Hungry Jacks around the corner, which worked okay for us.

Great location. Friendly staff. Perfect price. Well-equipt room. Exceptionally happy with my stay n definitely will return!

Clean, comfortable... Worth paying more for balcony room with views of Sydney . Friendly and efficient service.

Needed a comfy bed for one night and it did its job, nice and close location easy to get around

The room was neat and clean. The beds were comfortable and all linen clean and in good condition. It could do with a bigger fridge and one where the freezer was not iced over. Being on the 4th floor the windows were frosted over so no view. Pool was smaller than expected. Staff were friendly. Good location to Oxford st and restaurants, and an easy walk to Hyde park and the city. Please note taxi to airport is approx $35 and not the $20 the front desk suggested! Otherwise good hotel to stay at.

Ok room, a bit small. Regular maintainance. Clean. Not a very nice hotel but ok for the price. I would stay there again.

The staff are very professional and helpful. I arrived a couple of hours early and my room was ready. My room was felt in need of a little maintenance though. The light over the bed didnt work, not all the TV channels worked, the plug in the bathroom was broken and there was a very long cobweb from the ceiling over the desk to the light over the bed. The room itself however was neat and tidy. Were the toilet was situated would be difficult for a tall man to sit comfortably without hitting his knees. No real complaints. Would recommend.

The room was quite comfortable and big and well maintained. The service was excellent and all the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was just off of Oxford a main route to much of Sydney's sites and I love to walk and it was easy to get places. There are many good restaurants nearby and two supermarkets. It is just 4 blocks to Hyde Park a wonderful park and not far from the Museum of Australia, NSW art Museum and the Domain. If I'm lucky enough to go back to Sydney I'd stay here again.

I or my family have stayed at the Cambridge on numerous occasions, often for long periods, stays have been associated with medical treatment at nearby Saint Vincents hospital. The staff are wonderful, they are helpful and considerate and sympathetic to family needs and pressures. Facilities and services are excellent. Parking can be challenge.

Employees were so friendly and helpful. Made stay delightful.

For the price this is a nice central hotel, close to all of the CBD . Have stayed before will stay again

Decent room, a bit of an oil smell in the hallway. Some more air circulation would have been nice. Good location.

Great location only 5 mins walk from city, Big comfortable rooms and very friendly staff

I was hoping that the lovely pictures and description of the hotel would stand the test of experience. For a 4 star hotel, this hotel needs to do a lot better! Unbeknownst to me, my room was next to the staff room so I had a rude awakening at 5am in the morning when staff were changing over. I was also 'conveniently' close to the pool which meant lots of loud cavernous noise. The bed was uncomfortable, the pillows were all lumpy. The hotel DOES NOT provide free WIFI which, for an inner city 4 star hotel is unforgivable.

Reasonable place, but the rooms are pretty small for a family of four. Hated the fact that you have to pay a lot for Internet access and the access was limited to one device at a time. Seems ridiculous these days. Was also upset that they advertised the room at 65% of what it actually cost. On the other hand, we loved the location in funky Surry Hills and the service was good.

I liked the Cambridge hotel and would to go back when not undergoing rennovations next door. Room was beautiful, wonderfully located in the city, just very noisy come 7:30am. But I would rather be there than a hostel.

after staying @ the cambridge on many occasions , i was dissapointed when i booked a deluxe queen balcony for 2 days and got a pokey little room with no bath ,

Loads of parking, reception staff "distant" , room numbers difficult to see ... The people in the room opposite are screaming at their child to put it's shoes on ... easily heard in my one bedroomed unit, the father stands outside his room and uses his mobile to order mexican "home delivery" presumably he cannot use his mobile in his room .. Order room service, told that it would be 15minutes, and have also made a request previously to housekeeping, 'via reception, regarding the pull out sofa which was made into a bed that I couldn't put away. Meal, nachos, arrived about half and hour later, the room service waiter stripped the sofa, (thats why I couln't put it away) and then put it away for me .... nothing from housekeeping !!! Later, the people across the corridor are playing hide and seek in their room with thier child, all clearly audible over "masterchef" Also, the people just down the corridor also had children and the noise was not quiet as audible. Requests for rooms clearly request number of adults and children ..... why put a single or couple within hearing distance of 2 families with children??? You could also hear the neighbours giving their child a bath !!!! Ergo, if you want a qiuet room, try somewhere else !! And, I was on 5th floor .. windows in both the bedroom and the lounge, however no-one could see out of them, they had been frosted about half way up ... consequently I will probably never stay here again.

The hotel staff here are lovely. It's a great location and very clean. If you want a good base for a holiday or trip, it's great. It's definitely not romantic however - it's a great place to stay with mates. My room was around the pool, which is kind of odd - fun in one respect, but at the same time, just bear in mind that you get noise from people using the pool in the evening/morning, which isn't so relaxing! However, it really depends what you want from your stay I guess. The location is brilliant - if you fly in, get the airport train to Central (about $15 one-way) and the hotel is within walking distance of the station.
