Eastside Lodge - بورتلاند

Great location if you are in town for a show at the Doug Fir or any other events in the Burnside area. Relatively close to the Rose Quarter/Lloyd Center. Plenty of transit options nearby for a quick ride into downtown or the waterfront. Room and common areas were clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great stay!

This was by far the best location and price we could find closest to our event in downtown Portland Pearl District. Highly recommended if you're not looking for luxury. The staff was also very easy to work with.

I got into town late. This was a good place to crash, then off to work in the morning.

We enjoyed the hotel's location, and the staff was quite nice. However, our room (double plus a single bed) had a funky smell and the faucet handle came off the morning we were leaving. It had been hard to operate prior, but we were still surprised. I've stayed in lots of hotels, and this was a first. For the price, and because we are not that picky, this was fine for us for two nights. I don't think I will stay there again, however.

It was a okay hotel to stay at, not great, but good enough. There is a major lack of outlets in the room, so charging electronics was slow using the one outlet we found in the bathroom. Everything else was fine.

I will stay there again.

Comfortable bed, clean room and linens. Close to everything, easy access and very friendly staff. Probably the only thing that I didn't like was the air conditioning system. Not much cooling at the maximum and very noisy. Good burgers and a cafe across the street.

The hotel was great for us. Close to where we had to go and plenty of places to eat nearby. Only thing was the smell in the room...a little musty. Overall a good stay.

Nice motel with good prices and a convenient location. Room was what you would expect from an older motel but was well looked after. I will stay here again.

Great location for riding the MAX. The hotel was dated however the service was great. BRING A HAIR DRYER! There was not one in the room. The mattress was more comfortable than expected, which is a plus. We would stay here again.

Great price for the location!

Beds were awful, felt like sleeping directly on the mattress springs. Had to leave room fan on to drown out traffic noise but the fan rattled all night too. Neighborhood was great for proximity of restaurants but would not stay there again.

This isn't a classy hotel by any means but the surrounding area offers a lot of great amenities. ie Strip club right across the street with a $3 cover and an amazing burger joint next to that. If you're looking for a convenient place to pass out, this is it.

Room was clean they have wifi microwave and mini fridge! Its ok in my book ... Side note it's definitely out dated

The people who work there is the reason for my high assessment. The evening person was a real dear, took our pictures for us, was a wealth of information, and very nice. His sister and her husband own the hotel, and it's a family ran affair. It's a little out of the way, but the light rail and buses run nearby. I would stay there again if I visit the area. AND- it's affordable.

It was definitely outdated aesthetically, but it served our needs. Very clean, near to many great restaurants, bars, and at least a few tattoo parlors. Within walking distance of Voodoo Donuts. We didn't have much trouble with noise, but you can hear a really belligerent patron at the bar across the street if you're unlucky. For the price and the friendly staff, free wi-fi and cable, we felt satisfied with the price and our stay.

I confess that I moved to the Doubletree after a single night. This is a dive motel in the truest sense, but it's right in the middle of a very cool neighborhood of restaurants, cafes, bars, and vintage shops, and the staff were very nice. Loud, loud, loud, though, and the bed felt more like sleeping on hog wire than an actual mattress. If you're accustomed to backpacker-style traveling, then go all in. If you need a little quiet and maybe a smidgen of padding under your behind, you should probably book elsewhere.

Hotel is basic but clean and reasonable. Very close to a brewpub and less than a mile from voodoo donut

Hotel is adequate for business travel. Rooms are clean but not modern. Free wi-fi is a real plus. Neighborhood can be noisy but this doesn't usually penetrate into rooms. I've stayed there three times and will go back.

Small but clean rooms. A place to sleep at a good price.

The manager was hostile on the phone and in person. The bed was comfortable, but there were brown smears on the television and there was hair all over the bathroom tub, walls and floor. When I ran the shower in the morning, the tub filled with brown water! It cleared up after ~ 10 minutes of running the water. There were strips of laminate peeling from the tables and the room smelled of smoke. It was convenient to the convention center and reasonably priced. I can not recommend this hotel to anyone. Pay the extra money and stay at a better hotel.

This hotel was perfect for us. The room was clean, the beds very comfortable and the pillows fluffy. While the exterior isn't much, the interior of the hotel deserves more than a 2 star rating. The location was excellent. Just about everything on our to-do list ended up being within a 15 minute walk of the hotel; voodoo donuts, Saturday Mkt, Pearl District (Powell's Bookstore), Riverfront walk, etc. While the building across the street looks like the upper floors are condemned the rest of the neighborhood felt safe. We are two women and we felt comfortable walking everywhere, even late at night. There is a unique bar/restaurant (The Douglas FIr) almost across the street and a good coffee shop down the block. The front desk staff was friendly and knowledgable. They went above & beyond with helpful information about touring the area. This will be my hotel on all my trips to Portland from here on out!

The room was clean and the staff were kind. It was a good stay, overall.

Honestly I don't think I am very hard to please, however there were some things that people need to know if they are considering staying at this hotel: 1. Location: not bad, Burnside is the main avenue that separates North Portland from South Portland and it's very close to public transportation and other attractions BUT, right now (9/11-13/2012) they have construction going on next to the parking lot, which starts making lots of noise from ~7:30AM to ~5PM , it also thickens the air in the room with dust.. Not good :/ 2. Room itself: the bed is decent, couldn't figure out the AC/Heater but there was no need since it had plenty of blankets. Had a very convenient small fridge. Microwave if you need it. Disappointment - The smell of the room (weird Ethanol like smell), & the shower door had some mildew on the bottom border .. Esthetics: the color or the building and the whole look is bland grayish dark .. Made me think of a jail.. Staff: hit & miss, the check-in guy was friendly, the check-out guy was grumpy (may be because it was 6:45AM)

For the lower price it was cost-effective. The rooms were kept clean and the wireless worked very well. It is a 15 minute walk to the Convention Center and from there Portland's fabulous public transportation system lets you travel anywhere. I took the mass transit from the airpot to the Convention Center, walked 15 minutes with my suitcase trailing me, and that was it! For $2.40 that's a steal.

Nothing too extraordinary. I came here for the price and I got what I paid for.

What can I say, it is on several bus lines or a short walk from downtown. It's in a great neighborhood and near Le Pigeon. The desk help was extremely courteous and helpful and the room was clean and simple, just what I wanted.

Very convenient location, accommodating and friendly staff.

Great deal if your goin to see a show at any of local venues because that'll cost ya more than enough

We booked this hotel due to a last minute vacation decision. Everything else was either booked or too expensive for our budget. The hotel has a good location, literally 5 minutes from downtown and 5 minutes to a lot of good eateries on the East side. Though the condition of the overall facility is not good, bathrooms, elevators and pretty much everything would love to get a facelift. Additionally, I think due to the lower price, the type of guests staying are younger and noisier (especially after midnight). Not good when you have atrip with your kid and parents, like we did.

The wi-fi is a mess. Do not rely on it. They don't have fitted sheets so the flat ones they use end up coming loose and you will be sleeping on the mattress.

Excellent location in a funky, up-and-coming portion of town. The hotel does not have updated amenities, but everything was clean, in good condition and surprisingly very quiet.

The location of the hotel was great it was close to several hip bars, restaurants, and quaint shops. The outside looks fine and the check in and out was convenient. However, the rooms were terrible! There were weird stains everywhere on the carpet, upholstered chairs, and all over the bedding! Of course all of this was accompanined by a foul smell. For the first time in a hotel, I had to wear flip-flops in the shower. Ick!
