Our first stay at one of your hotels. We were very happy with our accomodations, but especially with the staff. We came in late at night and had special needs that were quickly addressed and resolved. The night attendant George, kept the jacuzzi open for our grandsons. It made their day. The morning supervisor was so pleasant , and friendly A great way to. start our Easter Sunday Thank you for letting us tell you about our stay.

My room was clean, quiet and spacious. The bed was first-rate. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will return as often as I'm in the Lake Tahoe area

Stayed one night...all was well. very near good resturants and wine bar.

This is sort of old motel with good people running in good old ways. They were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room is kind of outdated in look. But the bedding is updated to make it quite comfortable to sleep in, which is obviously the most important feature to expect in an accommodation. The shower room was kind of small but had good hot water pressure, unlike some other higher grade ski resorts where they run out of hot water by mid evening. Last but not least, the location was very convenient with foot acces to great restaurants where they offer discount for this hotel's guests.

Good value for the location. Easy walking to good (not best) Tahoe City restaurants. Very neat, clean, and fairly quiet. We would stay there again. It's a good place to sleep a night or two.

Great location. 15 min away from Alpine and Northstar. Also right near the water. The Blue Mango Mexican restaurant right next door is amazing! Perfect for a weekend snow getaway.

the only issue we had was an alarm clock going off in the middle of the night in an unused room next door that we could hear through the wall. Management turned it off but it came on the following night also.

Room was small but clean. Everything works well in the washroom. The "Free Breakfast" was a disappointment(=coffee+ danish in a plastic bag + apple/orange); you are better off at Pepper Tree Inn in the next block.

Not a whole lot of charm left in this hotel,in need of some TLC & some remodeling.Leaning stairways and cracked caulking only go so far on it's appeal in a "rustic" setting.Location is a plus though.The Continental B-Fast is for those wanting very little,and the pool is not heated and the hot-tub is really small,6 bodies and that's about it.Would I stay there again...probably not.

This was a good hotel for the price. The advise from the sweet lady at the front desk about local eatery's and things to do was right on. The location was wonderfully center mass of tahoe city. Very quiet location. The view of the golf course in the back was cluttered by the netting to protect the hotel from golf balls coming through your windows was not too nice and I would rather have a view of a lake, but I think you will have to pay more for that of course. We would go back there again as the room was clean and the staff was friendly.

The room was old and small. Yet is was clean and close to the lake.

This is an older hotel but our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location was great, we were able to park our bikes right outside the room and felt very secure about it. The hotel is across the street from the lake and there are several restaurants within walking distance. Super easy.

Very convenient hotel in Tahoe City. They even gave discounts for some local restaurants which was an unexpected surprise. Basic but very clean.

The air conditioner didn't work, the room was up against a wall, there was mold in the shower. Would not return. Regretted the choice.

This is a basic motel, no resort amenities, just good solid value in an extraordinary location. If you are looking for a such a motel, I recommend America's Best Value Inn in Tahoe City. The motel is located across the street from Commons Beach where you can walk and enjoy this beautiful lakeside park with views of Lake Tahoe. The rooms with a view of the golf course are nice and give you some balcony space with a view of the golf course. The room and bathroom are small but very clean and provisioned with the basics: bath and facial soaps and shampoo. Staff was friendly and efficient and they man the desk late. If you need a good, clean, basic motel for one night or a week, this is the place to stay. All the shops and restaurants are within walking distance and the lake is just across the street.

Motel was clean and comfortable. Recommend room location facing golf course. Great views. Staff was very efficient. Location was perfect. Walk to restaurants, shops, and beach.

My wife and I stayed here for only one night. We arrived on a friday night at 9:30, after a three and a half hour drive. The office was open and the guy behind the counter was really nice and super helpful. The room was very clean, and to both mine and my wife's surprise, really comfortable and cozy. It had a comfy kind sized bed, table and chairs and a little but workable sitting area, an in-room coffee maker, a small but clean bathroom, and a back porch area over-looking a golf course and the mountains beyond that, pretty nice. There's a lot near by, including a handful of restaurants and of course Pete and Peter's, a great locals bar/pub; a great place to watch a game and enjoy a cold brew (or two). All in all my wife and I were beyond satisfied with our stay, from the nice guy at the front desk to the quality and cleanliness of the room, we highly recommend the America's Best Value Inn - Tahoe City. We would stay here again in a heart-beat.

Good location and value, clean and comfortable, friendly front desk personnel.

For our April stay, at the end of cross-country ski season, this hotel did the trick. We got a great deal for a large bed in a convenient location right in central Tahoe City. Nothing fancy, but then again, you're going to Tahoe to be outdoors, not inside a hotel, right?

We've stayed here several times and have never had one single complaint. The service is always great, clean rooms and convenient location. It's also entertaining to see the bears roam the golf course in the wee hours! Thanks so much for another great stay! (The rooms are a bit out dated but still..... very clean)

This is a great place to stay if you're skiing Alpine Meadows or Squaw Valley. It's right in the middle of Tahoe City so it is close to groceries and within walking distance of several shops and restaurants. The bathroom was very new looking and clean. The beds were clean and comfy. The heater/AC unit was new and worked well. I was somewhat disappointed that the room was cramped with two double beds and that there was no mini fridge or dinette table, but I guess you get what you pay for. Overall I would highly recommend this place for the price.

I regularly stay at this hotel for going skiing in the North Tahoe ski resorts from San Jose. Because we have to leave San Jose late in the afternoon after work/school, the arrival in the Tahoe area is usually well after 10pm. Unlike many other similar small hotels where no service personnel is available after 9-10pm and a room key is hung outside of the office, this hotel does have a working human being to welcome late arrivals in person.

The room was super clean, hotel was quiet, and the surrounding area was very nice. The desk clerk at check-in was incredibly helpful and nice. He gave me discount coupons for near-by restaurants, which I used at the Agave cafe -- which is next door and saved 15% there. Really liked the property. Rooms: furniture is old, but in very good condition. They were very nice to have extra pillows in the room's closet. Breakfast: fruit, pastries, coffee, tea, hot cocoa They even had a sample package in the room with toothpaste, gum, breath-right strips, crazins. It was very nice.

Everything was about as you would expect for a Travelodge chain (although we paid way more than the place is worth since it was New Years Eve), but they could really boost their score by improving on a few factors: replace the horrible, scratchy, tiny bath towels with something slightly larger and softer and providing heftier blankets or comforters on the beds during the winter months. Also, we found that we had to set the heater to eighty degrees to get warm air, but that we had to keep turning it off because the room would overheat. They'd do well to replace the heaters with something more efficient and temperature sensitive.

Nice little place, nothing fancy. There is a good Mexican restaurant next door, a bar down the street, a hot tub, and it is close to Squaw and Alpine. Would stay here again.

The place is a older motel styled place. The guy at the front desk was super welcoming. Rooms we clean and functional. The location is in the middle of town. Has a hot tub, but I never checked it out.

This is a hotel to stay if you plan to only stay there to sleep. There is nothing else to do in the Hotel nor in Tahoe City. It a good option if you plan to sky at Squaw Valley but would prefer to spend the night somewhere else that is cheaper. Service is great, very friendly. Breakfast is very simple: OJ, Coffee, Fruits, and Danish (high in sugar/carbs).

This is my favorite area to stay in when I go to Tahoe and the hotel couldn't have been better located. Right next to some really good restaurants and the lake also less than 10 minutes drive from Kings Beach, Sunnyside, Alpine Meadows and Squaw. Hotel was nothing fancy but everyone was really nice, room was clean and comfortable. Free HBO, wireless internet and hot tub overlooking the lake were all a bonus.

Very nice motel, clean, friendly staff, modest breakfast, great value, close to many restaurants and activities. We stayed four nights, They provide discount coupon for local restaurants. I'd stay again.

This hotel was exactly what we wanted and needed. We spent most of the days at the lake and so we just needed a comfortable place to sleep, watch T.V., use our laptops, change and shower. All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. We ate breakfast offsite as we needed a more substantial one. This hotel is in the center of Tahoe City so you can walk anywhere you need to go, such as Rosie's Cafe (YUM for any meal) or the Boatworks for ice cream. We would stay here again. The price was perfect and we didn't need a place where we were going to spend hours hanging out outside. It is right across the street from the beautifully renovated Commons Beach/Heritage Park area also! It was quiet, you don't hear any traffic, but we still brought our white noise machine from home for those guests who stay up later than we talking.

Reasonable price, Friendly front Office Staff, Quiet area, Good value for money
