The hotel was very clean, with what appeared to be new carpet, TVs and furniture in the rooms. Much better than other hotels with higher star ratings. The area is very close to freeway, mall and shops. I will stay again and recommend it to others.

We were only there for one night but the room was comfortable, tidy and met our needs. Price was in line with facility.

We had a German Shepherd Dog which a nominal fee allowed us to keep at the hotel. Staff were friendly and courtious. The continental breakfast was a little short of variety, but adequate. The location was off the beaten path, but that was a plus with the dog. I would recommend this hotel, esp. for any pet owners.

WORKOUT ROOM IS WAY TOOOOOO SMALL! TERRIBLE!

I have stayed at this Hotel many times for business and will in the future. The cost per night is reasonable. I have recommended other businesses to consider this hotel for their stays in the Ottawa area. The location of this hotel is close to a major mall and restaurants. Welcominns is my first choice of hotel to stay at when I'm in Ottawa.

Bathroom was very-up-to-date. 4-5 star! Room has on the wall thermostat, flat screen tv, wifi Coffee maker was pointless. Too small and hokey. Better to get a coffee from the lobby. Very Quiet. No hockey tournaments while we were there! Hallways are big and well lit. Pillows were small, bed sheets very stiff. Too much starch? Continental breakfast consisted of muffins, cereal, instant oatmeal, teas & coffee. No juices. Location was very convenient. Right off hwy 417 Lonestar restarant next door (didn't visit it).

Good for our family of four. Continental breakfast was fine with enough choice. Room looked to be newly renovated and was clean and presentable. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were responsive and knowledgeable when asked questions. It was close to the 417 which made it easy to get around Ottawa and was far enough away to be quiet. Would stay again.

An excellent value for your dollar. A really clean well managed hotel, This is our second stay in the past 2 months and we look forward to many more when we visit Ottawa. The continential breakfast (included) is as good as you will find and the area designated to eat in is kept clean and well continuously supplied. A pleasant experience for me and my Wife.

I have stayed at this hotel many times before while on business and will stay again. Good value for the money, nice rooms, well located close to the 417.

This hotel served the purpose for what I needed. The staff seem genuinely interested in making your stay pleasant. The rooms were kept clean and the black out curtains helped me sleep. My only complain was the 'continental breakfast'. Consisted of tables in the main lobby with bad coffee and shrink wrapped muffins. Luckily my employer took care of my food. They should just cut this out entirely.

Normally go to Ottawa for overnight stay at least once month. Of tyhe last three Welcomein was not only the cheapest but the cleanest. Intend staying their in future visits. Only thing missing in an onsite restaurant. excellent value and comfortably well run and clean.

I brought my small dog with me, very disappointed to find out I had to pay an extra $20.00 for her to stay. I was led to believe the $20.00 was a damage depoist and I would have the money returned to me if there was no damage to my room. I will not stay at this hotel cjain nor will I recommend it friends or family.

Excellent location. It was pet friendly but I had to pay $20 a night for my yorkshire terrier. Not impressed with that as I wasn't told ahead of time that there was an additional pet fee.

for the special rate I got from Hotels.com and staying at Welcominns, it is very satisfying and will definitely the first thing I have to check out if I need to do it again. I will definitely recommend checking out Hotels.com to all my friends & relatives.

Quilt with cover would give us more sound sleep. Blanket with a white sheet, though widely found in hotels, is not satisfactorily accepted by travellers, especially for younger travellers.

This hotel is perfect for Lone Star guests! Good price, close location and has free continental breakfast! I have stayed there twice - and enjoyed it both times - would recommend to anyone who is looking for a nice place at a good price!

This hotel is very close to the 417 highway, easy access to most points in the city. Our room was clean and spacious, had a flat screen tv, a bar sink and a small fridge. There is no restaurant in the hotel but there are lots of restaurants close by. This hotel offers good value for the money, only drawback would be the very basic continental breakfast that is included. The breakfast area is very small, has only three tables and is located right beside the reception desk. If they would expand their breakfast area and selection this would be an excellent value.

Staff was very helpful. The room satisfied our needs and was very clean. Our only small issue was that washroom supplies, ie T. paper and kleenex tissue were in short supply. We had to ask for some at front desk on second night but we were supplied immediately. Overall, we were very pleased with hour accommodations. Thank you.

Fantastic place and great price. More than enough for us - sofas and coffee table. The washroom was beautiful - very nicely renovated! The lighting in the room itself was a little dim, but that was ok. The location was good if you have a car. Best part - free parking, free wifi and they let us check out a bit later. Would stay here again.

this is the only hotel out of many I have stayed in in Canada and the US that had cotton sheets! That is huge for me! staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all, a good comfortable stay.

I found the staff to be helpful and courteous. There was a broken toilet seat in my room - I asked for it be replaced and it was. One of the two elevators was "out-of-service" while we were there (2 nights). The room was clean, older style TV, comfortable beds. Outstanding WIFI service. High speed in a hotel is usually aroung 57 KB. At the Welcominn the speed was 20 Megabytes per minute. Businessmen and computer geeks would love that speed. Continental breakfast was so-so. Perkins restaurant is only 8 blocks away.

Have stayed there several times. Room always very clean, smells fresh, and is always quiet. Room is well furnished and modern and provides a very comfortable bed. Continental Breakfast is always sufficient, and good. Staff are very welcoming and accommodating to our needs. Huge shopping mall and excellent restaurants close by. Overall, very pleasant stay.

Great location as to closeness of major shopping mall, walk to restauraunt, easy access to Queensway. We would definately stay there again.

Relatively close to down town. Liked having the continental breakfast although a little more selection would have been nice. Staff was great overall would reccommend!

A little hard to find but overall a reasonable place to stay.Jim.

Booked thru hotels.com and prepaid. Checkin was fast and uncomplicated. Room furnishing fine except for spots on couch. Breakfast area a bit small(3 tables, 12 seats) especially when a tour getting ready to go. Signs state renovation to take place so hopefully the breakfast area will be enlarged. Breakfast available, cereal, toast, muffins, coffee/tea and some fruit. Newspapers available. Across roadway from St Laurent Mall, 15 minutes walk to bus terminal to downtown. Would consider this place again. Stayed 6 days.

Great value for the Ottawa area. Our son is at school in Ottawa and we have stayed in quite a few hotels over the past three years. Welcome Inn is not located downtown and within walking distance of much, but if you're driving, it's very handy with free parking. The price is half of what you would pay downtown. Clean, comfortable and good value. Hard to find a kingsized bed in Ottawa for under $200 a night.

Not a single complaint. I have spent three times on more expensive hotels, that did not provide this service, or maintenance of their hotel. Definitely a great place to stay, and what a great deal. Loved it, and I am one of the pickiest people out there.

What impressed me a lot was bedding: white sheets looking and feeling new. The room had everything you would need. W--Fi signal was weak, but it was not critical for us. Close to hi-way and a mall, good for one-two nights stay.

WelcomINNS was very comfortable and had all the necessary amenities - free breakfast, free internet, free parking, and free local calling. It was near Good life fitness, a mall, restaurants and car rental.

the only issue i had with this hotel was that the ice machine was on the first floor, if your staying on the first floor, than no problem. i didnt like taking the elevator every time i needed ice. other than that, its your average run of the mill hotel
