they charge fees in excess of the hotels.com fee. not fair.

I wouldn't stay there again. It was very convenient to down town Palm Spring. We were there for the follies and that was perfect.

Quiet and comfortable. Good shower and room was nice with better than most for the price!

Great for the price

The staff was very helpful and nice .. we stayed 2 nights and over all it was good .. the price was right and breakfast was ok ... I requested extra towels and were delivered before I got back to my room from the lobby .. we definetely are coming back and recommend it to our friends ..

The staff were really nice and really helpful. The room was a good size but needs a bit of renovation - old curtains and carpet from the 70s, newish furniture, and all the necessary amenities. The room also had a really musty smell - initially thought it just needed airing out - figured out eventually that this was the aircon unit - couldn't be bothered complaining as overall it was suitable for my needs, really just used my room to sleep and I was too busy. The bed made up for it - was very comfortable.

I have a five month old puppy that is afraid of stairs. They swiched our hotels.com rsvp to a room on the first floor right next to the pool and that was very nice and saved me from finding another room which is what I had to do in Las Cruces. I was very happy after driving from Las Cruces to PS that day. I will come back and use hotels.com again. Thank you, Jennifer

Just ok. Pictures were better than the actual room. Very small, blood stain on the comforter cover, awful roll-away bed!!!!

This was a basic hotel room that served our purposes. We liked the free breakfast, particularly since we have little kids. One pool was being repaired while we were there, but it didn't really change our impression of the hotel because it rained the whole weekend! The service was very good and prompt. I was woken up by a neighbor in the hotel at 3am and the hotel office handled it quickly and professionally. I do acknowledge that it was St. Patrick's Day (on a Saturday) so I imagine that the incident is not often repeated. If we go back to Palm Springs, then we will stay there again.

First evening was great. The following day 50 plus young University people arrived. It was down hill from there. They partied and it was very noise. I had to turn the TV up very loud, so I wouldn't have to hear all the yelling, lots of drinking, and very loud music. The next night was worse. The police were called to break up all the partying that went on until early morning. Those people were asked to leave the hotel ASAP!!!. The staff was nice, but they weren't paying the bill for staying at the hotel. I think our visit would have been great if it wasn't for the young adults. I feel we should have been compensated for all the disruption on our stay. Sincerely, Beverly room 135

Rooms were nice and comfy, but do not live up to the name to be called "hip".

The cons: Room had different colored walls, the bathroom has no counter space which made getting ready difficult. Walls are thin so it can get noisy, towels are like sandpaper and you only get two. Make sure to return pool towels or you will be charged $25 a towel! There is no shuttle service (cab to airport was about $17 one way) The pros: Pool area had music playing (some days) and iced lemon water out for you to drink. Continental breakfast had bagels, cereal, mini muffins, apple and orange juice, coffee and tea. Recommend mexican restaurant a block down the opposite side of the road; spa resort casino is a 5 min drive away and NYPD pizza delivers late and is delicious!

won't stay again. it's needs updating/cleaning. The pool area and front desk area is OK but the rooms definitely need updating. We were on the 1st floor (on parking lot) and had a 10 ft. wooden fence around the patio and the garden part had weeds about 5 ft. high. Front desk said if the gardener didn't see it it didn't get weeded. You'd think maybe the cleaning staff would inform them. Not a great bargain for the price.

This motel should actually be two different motels. Here's why: Their sign out front says "Affordably Hip Rooms". When we walked into our room (on the back side of the far building), we were not impressed. Nothing about this room was screaming Hip! The TV and the air conditioner were from the 80's and the paint was peeling off the walls. The free internet might have been free - but in NEVER worked for the three days we were there. The shower was miserable - and the patio (if you could call it that) was practically IN the parking lot. I was a little hesitant about our belongings while we were gone during the day... It seemed pretty shady. On the second night we were there, we decided to check out the hot tub. That's when we realized we were staying in 'the other motel'. The pool area is great - with a HUGE hot tub and outdoor beds, loungers and fresh lemonade. The rooms facing the pool WERE Hip! We could see the new flat screen tvs - recessed lighting, new paint - Wow! Who knew? My husband went to the front desk and asked why we were stuck back in 'the other motel'. She said - Oh, well you could have stayed in the remodeled rooms for $10 more! He politely thanked her for not telling us that when we checked in. We would have gladly paid it! I was pretty put off. So, like I said - I have mixed feelings. It definitely would have been a better experience had we stayed in one of the remodeled rooms. If you choose to stay in this motel, be sure to pay the extra $10 a night, or be forced to stay in 'the other motel'.

I was amazed to be charged a "resort fee" above what we had already paid on hotels.com. It was about $5 a day and although the hotel had 2 swimming pools there was nothing to justify "resort". It had an awkwardly arranged breakfast room/lobby which was way too small for the number of rooms there. Even with a fresh coat of paint the hotel looked like it had been there since the early days. We were coming to an event in Indian Wells and it took a long time to go down the highway full of traffic lights. The price was good, but I just couldn't get over the "resort" fee.

Convenient to where we needed to go. Easy access to restaurants, hiking & some shopping. Breakfast area was tiny & crowded no matter what time you went. Clean up the patio so that more people can sit outside and make it a pleasant experience.

I needed a room near airport at low cost. Staff was nice & very responsive. This old hotel had rooms newly painted & bathrooms remodeled. Nothing fancy but clean and good value for price. I would stay there again.

The location was nice, the hotel staff were prompt and courteous , and the room was clean and appropriately appointed. The hotel was recently renovated but they skipped over the showers. The water pressure and amount of water coming out left something to desired. It made rinsing my hair a 15 min ordeal. Although a minor annoyance the rest of the experience was pleasant, including the final statement.

Big king room, loved our private balcony.

Not a resort but a decent and quiet place if you are looking for a place to sleep

this is the place. If you are just looking for a place to spend the night - this is it. They have a good pool and hot tub... but this is definitely just a hotel room. Clean. Good convenient location to downtown.

I was unable to sleep on one of the beds in our room becuase it felt like I was sleeping on the ground. I was not happy with our stay at that Hotel. Rooms are way too small for the price we paid!!!

Not bad for the price. We've had a comfortable stay, although the bathroom smells weird.

The hotel was a typical cheap motel but the beds were very comfortable.

Much better than I expected. This is an old hotel but it has been well maintained & has updated furnishings. The bed wasn't as comfortable as I like but it wasn't bad. We were on the 2nd floor & had a little balcony with chairs & a table. This is a pet friendly hotel but hotels.com website didn't mention that there is a weight limit of 35 pounds.

Noisy the room was a cave. The 20 dollar a night pet chage was ridculos for a ten pound dog. Much better motels for the price in the same area. Lumpy bed rough towels. Took shower mat first day did not replace. Won't book there again.

It was good no more that it was advertised

Stayed for two weeks, Great Place for the Money.

close to downtown ammenties there would like a microwave in room breakfast complete and area kept clean will return

Typical 1950's-60's "stay and drive" motel architecture with entry to room from drive up parking area. Has a 2nd level above the first. No shuttle to airport, but within 2 miles or so. Also about 3 miles to downtown Palm Springs. Nice restaurant next to motel, English Grille with moderate priced home made British specialties. Be sure to enjoy the popovers!

For a Travelodge in Palm Springs I was expecting something more than what we got. It's a good thing we were only there one night. The bathroom looked like it was under construction. Very small and not very inviting. The room was OK but we had a hard time closing the door without having to slam it shut. The lady at check-in what not very nice. I would not recommend this place.

Room was clean and well appointed. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was adequate. They needed some additional seating in the breakfast area. Staff was curteous and helpful. Would stay there anytime in the future.

I guess you get what you pay for? room was dirty bathroom floor was filthy.Should had only 1 bed in room 2 queens wayyyy to much
