Costa Mesa/Newport Beach Hacienda Travelodge - كوست ميسا

Was in town for Newport Beach Film Festival and one of the screening theaters was about a half block away, which sealed the deal for me. Standard economy hotel room, but clean and convenient.

we only stayed for one nite, the bed was comfortable, location was good for our needs. the room was clean, checking in and out was quick and front desk was pleasant.

Nice, clean hotel with good breakfast. Very close to the sites. Great budget choice!!

It felt more like a high priced motel.

We were very pleased with our room, and all amenities. Hot tub was great, location was well situated close to everything, easy to get to airport, and Newport Beach... Breakie was fantastic and maid service was superb!! Thank you so much, Hacienda!! :)!! Blessings, SG

Staff was not very friendly or accomodating. Room under a stairwell was noisy. Didn't give me internet password and argued that they wrote it on my room key envelope when I called to get it. Internet turned off at midnight so I was unable to work and they couldn't tell me why. Not helpful and didn't care about my needs.

This hotel is a great deal and is located within walking distance of the Yardhouse. Great value, don't expect the Embassy Suites and you will be happy.

Nothing special about this Travelodge. It was simply a place to keep our stuff while we played and provided us with a place to sleep. We were a little disappointed about the fact that the hot tub didn't contain any hot water, but we found other things to do. The "breakfast" was nothing more than a few prepackaged items and some bananas thrown in a bowl. Oh, if you needed anything from the staff, it was handy to have an interrupter handy as it was difficult to find anyone who could speak fluent English. So, don't expect anything fancy from this place!

The HOTEL was LOUD HOOKERS YELLING AT 3 AM..

Considering price, this is the best place to stay in Costa Mesa. Very convenient to everything. The rooms are very comfortable, great parking, and now they have Wifi....what more could you ask for.

This Hotel was not a bad place to stay. It is close to FWY in both directions and lots of Shopping just around the corner. Pool was not open during my stay for some reason but just went to the Beach.

This motel was convenient for running around the Newport Beach, Costa Mesa and Corona del Mar area. The room was clean and comfortable and staff was courteous.

The Hacienda Travelodge in Costa Mesa, CA, is very convenient to shopping, restaurants, the ocean, many beaches, and freeways to visit tourist spots in Orange and San Diego Counties. There is a small mall area on the next block which has great restaurants and bars and movie theaters. Nearby 17th St. has a supermarket a few blocks away and High Times is one of the best discounted liquor stores in the county--ask staff for location right off 17th. Right at the corner is an Arco gas station. The room has all one needs: microwave, sm. refrigerator, coffee maker, iron, hair dryer, even a safe. The Continental breakfast has many choices of fruit, fresh bagels, Danish, and donuts, and juices. There is also a pool and utility room, The TV is not a flat screen but has cable. The staff is friendly and helpful. We always stay here when in the area, as the rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The vanity area is separate from the small bathroom. Only negative: the toilet is very tight to the wall to allow more room by the tub/shower so separate bathroom crowded. Ask for more pillows at desk if one likes to sleep higher up. We prefer the front hotel area, as closest to the lobby and breakfast area setup, but traffic can be heard if TV is not on. We don't mind and don't hear it. For all these conveniences, the rates are reasonable. If one wants more plush amenties inside and out, expect to double or triple price in this area.

3 nights booked. I left in the middle of night one. Dirty scary. Crack house motif. Barking dog from lot next door. Hypodermic needles I the parking lot

Staff was very helpful and informative! Great location for Newport Beach and Lido Isle! Newport Freeway (55) to Santa Ana(5) towards Disneyland. Hotel older, furniture etc. Free pastries, fruit, juices, coffee. Coffee, tea in rooms. Wifi

The picture is very deceiving. This hotel is not in a very good location, is difficult to get to and the front desk could not even give me the phone number for hotels.com. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel is very good clean, that's the good part. It's very old though, but they keep it clean which is the important thing. Good location if you do business just north of Irvine, in cities like Sylmar and others. No much to do around the hotel, not a great location for dining and stuff like Burbank. Basics yes, you can find. It's definitely cheaper than hotels in Burbank, and higher quality than other hotels of the same price. Staff is OK. They do include breakfast, simple but good - this is an add definitely.

Fantastic place to say. Responsive, caring, informed staff. Great rooms. Wonderful location with charming boutique village across the street, groceries, pharmacy and wonderful restaurants. Just a few blocks from major highways made everything we wanted easily accessible. Large space makes easy, comfortable living available while traveling - really appreciatead by us. Was a relief to come "home" each day from stressful times with sick elderly parents - simply loved it and told them this is our permanent home away from home when we are in Florida.

Decent room, nice staff, not amazing/spectacular but I wasn't asking for that. I just needed a decent room for a good price for a couple of days and I got it. I've had a pretty consistently solid experience with Travelodges in the past and wasn't disappointed this time either.

Let are really laid back and friendly. I would stay at this location anytime of the week!!! And they got flat screen tvs?? Your the best travel lodge

old, dated property in need of maintenance. neighborhood and staff were fine but property needs a lot of work.

Its an example of old US motels... kinda fun. Bed comfortable, shower was good. Only problem was first night noise from rooms and outside. These buildings are not made from sound insulating materials! Next nights were good so had a great sleep for a great price. The night manager was very helpful and friendly, and this always makes a big difference.

it was only a little over 2 miles. the only flaw was there was a pair of someone underwear in the room :)

If you are looking for just an inexpensive place to sleep and not hang out at this place is for you.

It was a good stqy and great location. the only thing i can complain about is thr condition of the exterior. The walkways and steps were filthy.

My title of this review is meant to be sarcastic. First, THE GOOD: Large room, quiet A/C unit, microwave, fridge, fairly comfortable beds, 3 miles to beach, large flatscreen TV. Now, THE BAD: We stayed here for 3 nights. Our room looked out onto a wall. Some of the outlets don't hold the plug. There's a gaping hole in the cable outlet. The carpet needs a deep cleaning. At check-in the lady told us this strange tale: "In your room, there is a white tray. You can bring that down to breakfast and take your food back to your room to eat...Or you can eat it here." We didn't understand what she meant until we went down for the free continental breakfast the next morning. There is no where to eat the food, because it's set up in a tiny lobby. There is a couch, coffee table, and computer. No tables. So each morning, we loaded up on what they offer (which is piddly) and went to our room. The room has a table...and 1 chair for it. There is a LR chair in the room. Too short to pull up to the table. The Continental Breakfast consists of coffee, juice boxes, fruit cup, oatmeal, bananas, oranges, and toast. The pool is freezing, but the jacuzzi is nice. It is close to the beach, and reasonably priced, and that's a big plus.

The staff was great, so kind to us and our children. We were very happy. We would stay there again. The price was right!

I stayed at the Hacienda Travelodge in Costa Mesa in August 2011. I was looking for a clean, inexpensive hotel room to share with a friend during a few vacation days in the Newport Beach area. On the whole, it worked out fine. The front desk was often staffed by only one person. When assistance was needed elsewhere (room keys not working, etc.), the staff member had to close the office to go and help. That said, everyone we talked to was friendly, professional, and responded quickly to our requests. The furnishings in the rooms are somewhat dated and worn, but everything was very clean. We did a thorough room check for bedbugs and found no traces of them. Our room was comfortable and large enough for a king bed and a rollaway bed with plenty of space left. Rooms face two sources of noise: the Costa Mesa Freeway or the pool area. We asked for a room in the back, away from the freeway, and got our request. Noise from other guests around the pool and in the open hallways kept us awake the first night. However, the noise was generally quieted within a few minutes by a staff member (along with other irritated guests yelling). The second night was peaceful. Doors are close to the pool, though -- a cannonball splash sounds like it's taking place a foot away from your bed. The hotel is across the road from a health food supermarket/juice bar/cafe, a gourmet coffee shop, and a mixture of restaurants and stores. It's easy to walk to the nearest strip malls. Beyond that, it's difficult to stay here -- or in the area in general -- without a car. The Orange County/Santa Ana airport is about 10 minutes away by taxi.

The room is very spacious.. comfortable beds.. the price was great. Although you are not right on the beach, it is about a 5 min drive without traffic. The hotel staff was very nice too! The breakfast wasn't the best.. but there are plenty of places to stop in the area. Overall great stay!!

The main reason for choosing this hotel was location, since we were visiting relatives nearby. Secondly, the price seemed pretty good at the time. First impressions: a somewhat busy area, and the place looked mostly as I might have expected for the price, adequate with some wear and tear. Positives: Clean...the bed was very comfortable, and the bedding was nice and exceptionally clean. Towels were well washed and had a nice feeling to them. Bathroom was also very clean. Negatives: Not so clean...the carpeting was so-so as there was a certain unpleasant feeling if you walked barefoot. Also, breakfast was adequate but leaning towards doughnuts, etc., so expect simple fare and not much more than that. Overall: except for the carpet, not a bad place and much better than I had first expected. The staff was friendly and there were plenty of services and facilities nearby. Since we were out most of the day and in our rooms mostly only for sleeping, we were not disappointed. The bed was comfortable and the air cooling/ heating system worked very well and was easy to operate. Tip: Some rooms have newer flat screen TVs and some had the old clunkers, so you might ask for a room with a flat screen if it matters to you.

I appreciated the friendly and helpful staff quite a bit, but the condition of the room was not good: several items were not working correctly or were broken. I may have just gotten a bad unit, but I was not impressed that it was in good condition. It was fairly clean and okay for comfort level.

Bed wasn't the most comfortable. At least the fan worked so I didn't have to die of heatstroke in my sleep. Not a lot of channels available on the TV, but at least of the ones that were, there was Cartoon Network (for adult swim at night) and TNT (for good drama tv). My last day there, I accidentally locked myself out of the bathroom. Upon requesting assistance, I had to wait a good 15 minutes before I decided to go back to the counter to ask again. Waited another 10 minutes, I needed to use the bathroom really bad by then, for someone with a drill to come to my room. All in all OK, I suggest moving the breakfast time from 6-10 or something, for all those non-morning people.

If you are looking for fine amenities in a hotel then keep looking. However, if you need a place to sleep comfortably for a good price then this is your hotel! It was quiet, comfortable and the staff was friendly. It also had a 42 inch flat screen. Located near Newport beach and the 55 freeway. Huntington Beach was a 10 minute drive and oddly enough the hotel is right next door to A&E's Storage Wars star Dave Hester's place. All in all, a good place to stay if you plan to do the tourist thing and not hang out at the hotel.

Good place to stay in Orange County when you are looking for value. Not fancy by any means but clean and good place to sleep at end of long day.

The hotel was clean and the staff very accommodating and helpful. A good value and nice central location.
